Unfortunat...Response prediction is a fundamental yet challenging task in aeronautical engineering, requiring an accurate selection of sensor positions correlated with the target responses to achieve precise predictions. Unfortunately, in large-scale structures, the rigorous selection of reliable sensor candidates for multi-target responses remains largely unexplored. In this paper, we propose a flexible and generalized framework for selecting the most relevant sensors to the multi-target response and predicting the target response, referred to as the Fast-aware Multi-Target Response Prediction(FMTRP) approach in the spirit of divide-and-conquer. Specifically, first, a multi-task learning module is designed to predict multi-point response tasks at the same time. Simultaneously, we meticulously devise adaptive mechanisms to facilitate loss-term reweighting and encourage prioritization of challenging tasks in multiple prediction tasks. Second, to ensure ease of interpretation,we introduce a hybrid penalty to select sensors at the group-sparsity, individual-sparsity and element-sparsity levels. Finally, due to the substantial number of candidate sensors posing a significant computational burden, we develop a more efficient search strategy and support computation to make the proposed approach applicable in practice, leading to substantial runtime improvements. Extensive experiments on aircraft standard model response datasets and large airliner test flight datasets validate the effectiveness of the proposed approach in identifying sensor locations and simultaneously predicting responses at multiple points. Compared to state-of-the-art methods, the proposed approach achieves an accuracy of over 99% in sinusoidal excitation and exhibits the shortest runtime(3.514 s).展开更多

One way to improve the livability of compacted and congested cities like Hong Kong is through the provision of urban parks, an aspect that has largely been under-researched. This study focuses on how users perceive and utilize various facilities in the Kowloon Park. The findings revealed that the Kowloon Park is one of the most preferred parks in Hong Kong for both local residents and tourists. Users were quite satisfied with the park's facilities. Notably, the most important component of an urban park is its greenery. This is followed by water elements, seating places, and facilities for various recreational activities. The improvements users would like to see in urban parks include good design and management, meeting users' needs, overcoming barriers to use, and providing a high quality and varied experience for different groups in the community. The findings of this study provide a good basis to address park management issues from the users' perspective. In particular, parks should provide easy access, encourage optimum usage and enable complimentary improvements to the environment.展开更多

Methods: Six nurses who worked at the clinic where proposed visiting medical treatment participated voluntarily. They received one interview for approximately one hour, in which they narrated their perception of home hospice and content of nursing care. The narrative was recorded by an IC recorder and analyzed as contents analysis. This study was approved by the Ethical Board at St. Mary’s College. Results: About the content of nursing care, some categories were selected such as “Understanding a patient as a living person,” “Examining if a patient and caregiver live at ease,” or “Caring for a caregiver accepting a loved one’s death and care given at death.” Nurses perceived the theme as “Time and space for listening carefully,” the theme as “Feeling of responsibility and attractiveness of work,” the theme as the “Economics and manpower to continue home hospice,” the as a “Required connection between hospitals and home hospice clinics.” Conclusion: Visiting medical treatment nurses understand a patient and a family as living people based on intimate relationships, support them as the disease progresses, and connect to a visiting nurse station. They perceived that “patients can enjoy freedom;the nurses had responsibility and strong relationships. They felt the economic or man-power needs to continue and the requirement of a connection between hospitals and home hospice clinics.展开更多

文摘What has really happened in Europe since 2014?Why in 2018 are so many migrants still making their way towards Europe? For the first time since the Second World War,an important number of individuals have entered into European soil. The idea for this article goes back to October 2015 when the prefet from the town where I live went in search of asylum seekers. This is what sparked off my inquiry amongst about 50 exiles housed in the annex of the Montmorency(95)hospital in July 2015.But against popular belief, migrants are not accepted fairly into countries, and the geographical distribution of Syrians in Turkey,Lebanon,Jordan, and Europe is contrary to what Kant had defended as a“right to visit”.Although the majority of researchers suggest welcoming migrants,it is necessary to reconsider some methodological and epistemological aspects and get away from some wrongly perceived concepts which dated prior to the year 2000.Yet,the Arab Spring has showed that we are dealing with unfinished post-colonialism,something that we will soon come back to in another article where we will propose another solution.
