This paper addresses the challenge of accurately and timely determining the position of a train,with specific consideration given to the integration of the global navigation satellite system(GNSS)and inertial navigation system(INS).To overcome the increasing errors in the INS during interruptions in GNSS signals,as well as the uncertainty associated with process and measurement noise,a deep learning-based method for train positioning is proposed.This method combines convolutional neural networks(CNN),long short-term memory(LSTM),and the invariant extended Kalman filter(IEKF)to enhance the perception of train positions.It effectively handles GNSS signal interruptions and mitigates the impact of noise.Experimental evaluation and comparisons with existing approaches are provided to illustrate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed method. 展开更多

Dempster-Shafer evidence theory is broadly employed in the research of multi-source information fusion.Nevertheless,when fusing highly conflicting evidence it may pro-duce counterintuitive outcomes.To address this issue,a fusion approach based on a newly defined belief exponential diver-gence and Deng entropy is proposed.First,a belief exponential divergence is proposed as the conflict measurement between evidences.Then,the credibility of each evidence is calculated.Afterwards,the Deng entropy is used to calculate information volume to determine the uncertainty of evidence.Then,the weight of evidence is calculated by integrating the credibility and uncertainty of each evidence.Ultimately,initial evidences are amended and fused using Dempster’s rule of combination.The effectiveness of this approach in addressing the fusion of three typical conflict paradoxes is demonstrated by arithmetic exam-ples.Additionally,the proposed approach is applied to aerial tar-get recognition and iris dataset-based classification to validate its efficacy.Results indicate that the proposed approach can enhance the accuracy of target recognition and effectively address the issue of fusing conflicting evidences. 展开更多

For milling tool life prediction and health management,accurate extraction and dimensionality reduction of its tool wear features are the key to reduce prediction errors.In this paper,we adopt multi-source information fusion technology to extract and fuse the features of cutting vibration signal,cutting force signal and acoustic emission signal in time domain,frequency domain and time-frequency domain,and downscale the sample features by Pearson correlation coefficient to construct a sample data set;then we propose a tool life prediction model based on CNN-SVM optimized by genetic algorithm(GA),which uses CNN convolutional neural network as the feature learner and SVM support vector machine as the trainer for regression prediction.The results show that the improved model in this paper can effectively predict the tool life with better generalization ability,faster network fitting,and 99.85%prediction accuracy.And compared with the BP model,CNN model,SVM model and CNN-SVM model,the performance of the coefficient of determination R2 metric improved by 4.88%,2.96%,2.53%and 1.34%,respectively. 展开更多

Gas-path performance estimation plays an important role in aero-engine health management, and Kalman Filter(KF) is a well-known technique to estimate performance degradation. In previous studies, it is assumed that different kinds of sensors are with the same sampling rate, and they are used for state estimation by the KF simultaneously. However, it is hard to achieve state estimation using various kinds of sensor measurements at the same sampling rate due to a complex network and physical characteristic differences between sensors, especially in an advanced multisensor architecture. For this purpose, a multi-rate sensor fusion using the information filtering approach is proposed based on the square-root cubature rule, which is called Multi-rate Squareroot Cubature Information Filter(MSCIF) to track engine performance degradation. Soft measurement synchronization of the MSCIF is designed to provide a sensor fusion condition for multiple sampling rates of measurement, and a fault sensor is isolated by maximum likelihood validation before state estimation. The contribution of this paper is to supply a novel multi-rate informationfilter approach for sensor fault tolerant health estimation of an aero-engine in a multi-sensor system. Tests are conducted for aero-engine performance degradation estimation with multiple sampling rates of sensor measurement on both digital simulation and semi-physical experiment.Experimental results illustrate the superiority of the proposed algorithm in terms of degradation estimation accuracy and robustness to sensor failure in a multi-sensor system. 展开更多

The multisensor information fusion technology is adopted for real time measuring the four parameters which are connected closely with the weld nugget size(welding current, electrode displacement, dynamic resistance, welding time), thus much more original information is obtained. In this way, the difficulty caused by measuring indirectly weld nugget size can be decreased in spot welding quality control, and the stability of spot welding quality can be improved. According to this method, two-dimensional fuzzy controllers are designed with the information fusion result as input and the thyristor control signal as output. The spot welding experimental results indicate that the spot welding quality intelligent control method based on multiscnsor information fusion technology can compensate the influence caused by variable factors in welding process and ensure the stability of welding quality. 展开更多

This paper derives a square-root information-type filtering algorithm for nonlinear multi-sensor fusion problems using the cubature Kalman filter theory. The resulting filter is called the square-root cubature Information filter (SCIF). The SCIF propagates the square-root information matrices derived from numerically stable matrix operations and is therefore numerically robust. The SCIF is applied to a highly maneuvering target tracking problem in a distributed sensor network with feedback. The SCIF’s performance is finally compared with the regular cubature information filter and the traditional extended information filter. The results, presented herein, indicate that the SCIF is the most reliable of all three filters and yields a more accurate estimate than the extended information filter. 展开更多

In the applications of water regime monitoring, incompleteness, and inaccuracy of sensor data may directly affect the reliability of acquired monitoring information. Based on the spatial and temporal correlation of water regime monitoring information, this paper addresses this issue and proposes an information fusion method to implement data rectification. An improved Back Propagation (BP) neural network is used to perform data fusion on the hardware platform of a stantion unit, which takes Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) as the core component. In order to verify the effectiveness, five measurements including water level, discharge and velocity are selected from three different points in a water regime monitoring station. The simulation results show that this method can recitify random errors as well as gross errors significantly. 展开更多

Multi-source information fusion (MSIF) is imported into structural damage diagnosis methods to improve the validity of damage detection. After the introduction of the basic theory, the function model, classifications and mathematical methods of MSIF, a structural damage detection method based on MSIF is presented, which is to fuse two or more damage character vectors from different structural damage diagnosis methods on the character-level. In an experiment of concrete plates, modal information is measured and analyzed. The structural damage detection method based on MSIF is taken to localize cracks of concrete plates and it is proved to be effective. Results of damage detection by the method based on MSIF are compared with those from the modal strain energy method and the flexibility method. Damage, which can hardly be detected by using the single damage identification method, can be diagnosed by the damage detection method based on the character-level MSIF technique. Meanwhile multi-location damage can be identified by the method based on MSIF. This method is sensitive to structural damage and different mathematical methods for MSIF have different preconditions and applicabilities for diversified structures. How to choose mathematical methods for MSIF should be discussed in detail in health monitoring systems of actual structures. 展开更多

Analyzing the service behavior of high dams and establishing early-warning systems for them have become increasingly important in ensuring their long-term service.Current analysis methods used to obtain safety monitoring data are suited only to single survey point data.Unreliable or even paradoxical results are inevitably obtained when processing large amounts of monitoring data,thereby causing difficulty in acquiring precise conclusions.Therefore,we have developed a new method based on multi-source information fusion for conducting a comprehensive analysis of prototype monitoring data of high dams.In addition,we propose the use of decision information entropy analysis for building a diagnosis and early-warning system for the long-term service of high dams.Data metrics reduction is achieved using information fusion at the data level.A Bayesian information fusion is then conducted at the decision level to obtain a comprehensive diagnosis.Early-warning outcomes can be released after sorting analysis results from multi-positions in the dam according to importance.A case study indicates that the new method can effectively handle large amounts of monitoring data from numerous survey points.It can likewise obtain precise real-time results and export comprehensive early-warning outcomes from multi-positions of high dams. 展开更多

Multi-sensor system is becoming increasingly important in a variety of military and civilian applications. In general, single sensor system can only provide partial information about environment while multi-sensor system provides a synergistic effect, which improves the quality and availability of information. Data fusion techniques can effectively combine this environmental information from similar and/or dissimilar sensors. Sensor management, aiming at improving data fusion performance by controlling sensor behavior, plays an important role in a data fusion process. This paper presents a method using fisher information gain based sensor effectiveness metric for sensor assignment in multi-sensor and multi-target tracking applications. The fisher information gain is computed for every sensor-target pairing on each scan. The advantage for this metric over other ones is that the fisher information gain for the target obtained by multi-sensors is equal to the sum of ones obtained by the individual sensor, so standard transportation problem formulation can be used to solve this problem without importing the concept of pseudo sensor. D-S evidence theory,as a general framework for reasoning with uncertainty,allows combining pieces of evidence from different information sources to derive a degree of belief function that is a type of fuzzy measure.However,the mass assignments given by unknown information sources are disordered.How to measure the difference between the mass assignments has aroused people’s interest.In this paper,inspired by the information volume,a novel distance-based measure is proposed to measure the difference between mass assignments.The method can refine the uncertain information given by experts and compare the refined information to obtain the difference between mass assignments.At the same time,it is verified that the measure not only meets the properties of distance,but also proves the superiority of the proposed Information Volume Distance(IVD)through simulation experiments.Meanwhile,in the process of information fusion,the reliability of each source could be quantified through IVD.Therefore,based on IVD,a new multi-source information algorithm is proposed to solve the problem of multi-source information fusion.Moreover,algorithm is applied to decision-making problem and compare with other methods to verify the effectiveness. 展开更多

During drilling operations,the low resolution of seismic data often limits the accurate characterization of small-scale geological bodies near the borehole and ahead of the drill bit.This study investigates high-resolution seismic data processing technologies and methods tailored for drilling scenarios.The high-resolution processing of seismic data is divided into three stages:pre-drilling processing,post-drilling correction,and while-drilling updating.By integrating seismic data from different stages,spatial ranges,and frequencies,together with information from drilled wells and while-drilling data,and applying artificial intelligence modeling techniques,a progressive high-resolution processing technology of seismic data based on multi-source information fusion is developed,which performs simple and efficient seismic information updates during drilling.Case studies show that,with the gradual integration of multi-source information,the resolution and accuracy of seismic data are significantly improved,and thin-bed weak reflections are more clearly imaged.The updated seismic information while-drilling demonstrates high value in predicting geological bodies ahead of the drill bit.Validation using logging,mud logging,and drilling engineering data ensures the fidelity of the processing results of high-resolution seismic data.This provides clearer and more accurate stratigraphic information for drilling operations,enhancing both drilling safety and efficiency. 展开更多

针对煤矿井下钻机状态监测中存在的多源传感器数据时空失配、噪声干扰强、故障特征微弱等问题,提出了一种基于多传感信息融合的远程在线监测系统。在硬件层面,设计以ATMEGA128L低功耗微处理器为核心的嵌入式采集节点,集成振动、温度、... 针对煤矿井下钻机状态监测中存在的多源传感器数据时空失配、噪声干扰强、故障特征微弱等问题,提出了一种基于多传感信息融合的远程在线监测系统。在硬件层面,设计以ATMEGA128L低功耗微处理器为核心的嵌入式采集节点,集成振动、温度、转速等多种传感器,通过LoRa与工业以太网实现数据可靠回传;在软件层面,提出时序对齐与一阶加权滑动平均去噪方法,解决数据异步与噪声耦合问题;进一步提取峰值、均值、均方根、波形指标与峭度等多维时域特征,并引入轻量化熵权融合机制,实现对轴承点蚀、齿轮断齿等隐性故障的敏感识别;最后,采用改进的集成学习算法,在边缘侧完成钻机运行状态的实时诊断。现场应用结果表明,该系统一致性指数稳定在0.9~1.0,可识别正常、异常、维修、故障4类状态,平均响应延迟低于200 ms,为煤矿钻机预测性维护提供了可部署、高可靠的一体化解决方案。 展开更多

智能扫地机器人在运行过程中,若不能精准感知环境内障碍物位置会发生碰撞,为此提出多传感器紧耦合下智能扫地机器人地形全局感知。该方法使用深度视觉传感器获取机器人二维环境图像,利用SURF算子展开特征点匹配,并结合广义ICP算法建立... 智能扫地机器人在运行过程中,若不能精准感知环境内障碍物位置会发生碰撞,为此提出多传感器紧耦合下智能扫地机器人地形全局感知。该方法使用深度视觉传感器获取机器人二维环境图像,利用SURF算子展开特征点匹配,并结合广义ICP算法建立三维转换矩阵,建立智能扫地机器人环境地形地图;利用多传感器采集信息,并通过传感器紧耦合融合方法融合信息,确定工作环境中扫地机器人位姿和障碍物位置,实现智能扫地机器人的地形全局感知。实验结果表明,使用该方法构建的环境地图配准图像中三轴特征点的误差低于10 mm,映射转换误差低于9.5 mm,对机器人位姿的感知精度提高到90%以上,地形全局感知精度高于93%,能够精准感知环境内障碍物位置。 展开更多
