To elucidate the fracturing mechanism of deep hard rock under complex disturbance environments,this study investigates the dynamic failure behavior of pre-damaged granite subjected to multi-source dynamic disturbances.Blasting vibration monitoring was conducted in a deep-buried drill-and-blast tunnel to characterize in-situ dynamic loading conditions.Subsequently,true triaxial compression tests incorporating multi-source disturbances were performed using a self-developed wide-low-frequency true triaxial system to simulate disturbance accumulation and damage evolution in granite.The results demonstrate that combined dynamic disturbances and unloading damage significantly accelerate strength degradation and trigger shear-slip failure along preferentially oriented blast-induced fractures,with strength reductions up to 16.7%.Layered failure was observed on the free surface of pre-damaged granite under biaxial loading,indicating a disturbance-induced fracture localization mechanism.Time-stress-fracture-energy coupling fields were constructed to reveal the spatiotemporal characteristics of fracture evolution.Critical precursor frequency bands(105-150,185-225,and 300-325 kHz)were identified,which serve as diagnostic signatures of impending failure.A dynamic instability mechanism driven by multi-source disturbance superposition and pre-damage evolution was established.Furthermore,a grouting-based wave-absorption control strategy was proposed to mitigate deep dynamic disasters by attenuating disturbance amplitude and reducing excitation frequency. 展开更多

This paper is concerned with a class of nonlinear fractional differential equations with a disturbance parameter in the integral boundary conditions on the infinite interval.By using Guo-Krasnoselskii fixed point theorem,fixed point index theory and the analytic technique,we give the bifurcation point of the parameter which divides the range of parameter for the existence of at least two,one and no positive solutions for the problem.And,by using a fixed point theorem of generalized concave operator and cone theory,we establish the maximum parameter interval for the existence of the unique positive solution for the problem and show that such a positive solution continuously depends on the parameter.In the end,some examples are given to illustrate our main results. 展开更多

This study investigates prescribed-time position tracking control for electromagnetic satellite formations subject to model uncertainties and external disturbances.Using the Clohessy-Wiltshire equations as the relative motion dynamics model,a prescribed time output feedback control strategy is proposed.A prescribed-time extended state observer is designed to estimate the relative velocity and external disturbances.The disturbance estimates are then used as the feedforward component of the controller.Building on this framework,a novel prescribed-time active disturbance rejection control strategy for position tracking is developed via a backstepping control design.The convergence of the extended state observer and the stability of the closed-loop system are rigorously analyzed using Lyapunov stability theory.Numerical simulations are performed to validate the effectiveness of the proposed controller. 展开更多

EDTM:Efficient Domain Transition for Multi-Source Domain Adaptation

Domain adaptation aims to reduce the distribution gap between the training data(source domain)and the target data.This enables effective predictions even for domains not seen during training.However,most conventional domain adaptation methods assume a single source domain,making them less suitable for modern deep learning settings that rely on diverse and large-scale datasets.To address this limitation,recent research has focused on Multi-Source Domain Adaptation(MSDA),which aims to learn effectively from multiple source domains.In this paper,we propose Efficient Domain Transition for Multi-source(EDTM),a novel and efficient framework designed to tackle two major challenges in existing MSDA approaches:(1)integrating knowledge across different source domains and(2)aligning label distributions between source and target domains.EDTM leverages an ensemble-based classifier expert mechanism to enhance the contribution of source domains that are more similar to the target domain.To further stabilize the learning process and improve performance,we incorporate imitation learning into the training of the target model.In addition,Maximum Classifier Discrepancy(MCD)is employed to align class-wise label distributions between the source and target domains.Experiments were conducted using Digits-Five,one of the most representative benchmark datasets for MSDA.The results show that EDTM consistently outperforms existing methods in terms of average classification accuracy.Notably,EDTM achieved significantly higher performance on target domains such as Modified National Institute of Standards and Technolog with blended background images(MNIST-M)and Street View House Numbers(SVHN)datasets,demonstrating enhanced generalization compared to baseline approaches.Furthermore,an ablation study analyzing the contribution of each loss component validated the effectiveness of the framework,highlighting the importance of each module in achieving optimal performance. 展开更多

The spatial offset of bridge has a significant impact on the safety,comfort,and durability of high-speed railway(HSR)operations,so it is crucial to rapidly and effectively detect the spatial offset of operational HSR bridges.Drive-by monitoring of bridge uneven settlement demonstrates significant potential due to its practicality,cost-effectiveness,and efficiency.However,existing drive-by methods for detecting bridge offset have limitations such as reliance on a single data source,low detection accuracy,and the inability to identify lateral deformations of bridges.This paper proposes a novel drive-by inspection method for spatial offset of HSR bridge based on multi-source data fusion of comprehensive inspection train.Firstly,dung beetle optimizer-variational mode decomposition was employed to achieve adaptive decomposition of non-stationary dynamic signals,and explore the hidden temporal relationships in the data.Subsequently,a long short-term memory neural network was developed to achieve feature fusion of multi-source signal and accurate prediction of spatial settlement of HSR bridge.A dataset of track irregularities and CRH380A high-speed train responses was generated using a 3D train-track-bridge interaction model,and the accuracy and effectiveness of the proposed hybrid deep learning model were numerically validated.Finally,the reliability of the proposed drive-by inspection method was further validated by analyzing the actual measurement data obtained from comprehensive inspection train.The research findings indicate that the proposed approach enables rapid and accurate detection of spatial offset in HSR bridge,ensuring the long-term operational safety of HSR bridges. 展开更多

Formation control of multiple spacecraft has attracted extensive research attention.However,achieving reliable performance under sensor failures remains a significant challenge.This paper develops an integrated framework that jointly designs distributed observers and local controllers to ensure robust formation control in the presence of external disturbances and sensor malfunctions.Treating the spacecraft formation as a single interconnected system,each spacecraft constructs a distributed observer that estimates the overall system state by incorporating both its own measurements and the predicted control information shared among the spacecraft.Based on the observer estimates,a local control law is synthesized to maintain the desired formation.Rigorous theoretical analysis and numerical simulations demonstrate that the proposed integrated approach effectively guarantees formation stability and resilience against sensor failures and disturbances. 展开更多

Effect of dynamic disturbance frequency on brittle failure of granite in deep excavation

Dynamic disturbances with various frequencies could trigger different failure modes of deep excavations.Superimposed on this static stress are dynamic disturbances due to various dynamic vibrations,e.g.excavation blasting,blasting,tunnel boring machine(TBM)vibration,rockburst wave,earthquakes.Specifically,these dynamic sources are characterized by a wide range of wave frequencies f,resulting in differences in failure modes.A series of true-triaxial compression tests were conducted on granite to simulate the excavation-induced stress path in three-dimensional(3D)stresses.Subsequently,a dynamic disturbance with various frequencies was applied to a cuboid specimen,to reveal the behavior associated with brittle failure.The dynamic disturbance with frequencies f of 5 Hz,10 Hz,and 40 Hz generates less disturbed energy components in the granite together with higher peak strength.However,dynamic disturbances with f of 20 Hz and 30 Hz resulted in a lower peak strength;the peak strength of the rock increases sp albeit it decreases at first,then increases.This U-shaped phenomenon relates to the natural frequency of the granite under such stress conditions.Different rock lithologies consisting of diverse mineral composition,respond differently to each sensitive resonance frequency.Interestingly,the weak disturbance stress with a high frequency f and low amplitude A increases the ratio of crack damage to peak strength(scd/sp)in the granite.This leads to the inhibition of the expansion of the granite during the dynamic disturbance process.Multiple penetrating tensileeshear cracks appear in the s3-direction as the disturbance frequency f increases. 展开更多

This study investigates the turbulence-induced disturbances and stall precursor triggering mechanism in NACA65-18(10)cascade based on large eddy simulations.The results indicate that the disturbances exist under various operating conditions along the performance curve.The shear layer is the physical structure responsible for the generation,propagation,and dissipation of disturbances.When operating near stall,the separation on the suction surface intensifies,and strong unsteady backflow occurs at the trailing edge of the passage.Under the influence of inlet disturbances,unsteady behaviors between passages form specific phase differences,leading the entire system to oscillate in a first-order mode.As the flow develops from near-stall to stall,axial momentum decreases further,reducing the main flow’s ability to drive blockages downstream through convection.Consequently,the blockage accumulates during the circumferential propagation process until the stall onset.Based on the above mechanism,this study proposes factors describing the size of the backflow zone,shedding frequency,and convection velocity to characterize blockage dynamics,identifying critical values that represent the stall onset. 展开更多

Fuel-coolant interaction(FCI)remains one of the most complex challenges in severe accident research,with the triggering process being a key aspect that may govern subsequent fine fragmentation and potential steam explosions.In this study,the evolution characteristics of droplet-water interactions under external disturbance conditions were investigated using a self-designed FCI experimental setup.The experimental observations revealed that cavity formation reduced the drag force on the droplet,thereby increasing its peak velocity.However,the external disturbance pressure can disrupt the cavity,leading to a reduction in the droplet peak velocity.Furthermore,it was found that an increase in external disturbance pressure tended to increase the peak value of the droplet expansion rate,thereby promoting the fine-fragmentation process.This effect holds regardless of the initial droplet temperature,coolant temperature,or even when using droplet materials such as lead,which is generally considered unfavorable for steam explosions.Comparative analyses indicated that a higher external disturbance pressure may shorten the triggering time of the droplet surface and enhance the trigger intensity.These findings provide important phenomenological insights for further investigation of the triggering mechanisms in the initial stage of fuel-coolant interactions. 展开更多

This study investigated the effects of periodic high-frequency stress disturbances on the creep behavior of sandstone and analyzed the microstructural changes using nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)technology.High-frequency disturbance creep experiments were conducted on sandstone under different disturbance frequencies,disturbance cycles and loading stresses,and the following findings were obtained.Firstly,with the increase of loading stress and disturbance cycles,the total porosity increments,and damage value of sandstone increase,while the fractal dimension of sandstone pore structure presents the opposite trend.Secondly,during the disturbance creep process,the volumes of all three types of pores increase,but the proportion of micropores(T_(2)<10 ms)decreases,while the proportion of mesopores(10 ms<T_(2)<100 ms)and macropores(T_(2)>100 ms)increases.Thirdly,the fractal dimension difference has a good linear relationship with the damage,strain and porosity increment of sandstone during the disturbance creep process.Finally,the higher the disturbance frequency,the smaller the creep strain and creep strain rate during the steady-state creep stage.The study offers valuable theoretical insights for understanding rock creep behavior in complex stress environments. 展开更多

To address the issue that hybrid flow shop production struggles to handle order disturbance events,a dynamic scheduling model was constructed.The model takes minimizing the maximum makespan,delivery time deviation,and scheme deviation degree as the optimization objectives.An adaptive dynamic scheduling strategy based on the degree of order disturbance is proposed.An improved multi-objective Grey Wolf(IMOGWO)optimization algorithm is designed by combining the“job-machine”two-layer encoding strategy,the timing-driven two-stage decoding strategy,the opposition-based learning initialization population strategy,the POX crossover strategy,the dualoperation dynamic mutation strategy,and the variable neighborhood search strategy for problem solving.A variety of test cases with different scales were designed,and ablation experiments were conducted to verify the effectiveness of the improved strategies.The results show that each improved strategy can effectively enhance the performance of the IMOGWO.Additionally,performance analysis was conducted by comparing the proposed algorithm with three mature and classical algorithms.The results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm exhibits superior performance in solving the hybrid flow-shop scheduling problem(HFSP).Case validations were conducted for different types of order disturbance scenarios.The results demonstrate that the proposed adaptive dynamic scheduling strategy and the IMOGWO algorithm can effectively address order disturbance events.They enable rapid response to order disturbance while ensuring the stability of the production system. 展开更多

In this paper,a practical method named linear active disturbance rejection control(LADRC)with adaptive tuning is proposed for attitude control of small-scale unmanned helicopter.The proposed method accounts for both external disturbances and internal dynamic uncertainties,as well as parameter deviations arising from parameter uncertainty,while maintaining a relatively small number of adjustable parameters.Furthermore,it addresses the limitation that conventional active disturbance rejection control methods cannot be rigorously analyzed for stability.The total disturbance of unmanned helicopter is estimated and compensated by designed LADRC.The introduction of adaptive control realizes online parameter tuning,which eliminates parameter deviation and further improves control precision.Moreover,it also provides a novel idea to prove the stability of controller,so that it can be analyzed by Lyapunov function.Finally,the anti-disturbance performance and effectiveness of proposed method are verified by numerical simulation. 展开更多

Benthic habitat mapping is an emerging discipline in the international marine field in recent years,providing an effective tool for marine spatial planning,marine ecological management,and decision-making applications.Seabed sediment classification is one of the main contents of seabed habitat mapping.In response to the impact of remote sensing imaging quality and the limitations of acoustic measurement range,where a single data source does not fully reflect the substrate type,we proposed a high-precision seabed habitat sediment classification method that integrates data from multiple sources.Based on WorldView-2 multi-spectral remote sensing image data and multibeam bathymetry data,constructed a random forests(RF)classifier with optimal feature selection.A seabed sediment classification experiment integrating optical remote sensing and acoustic remote sensing data was carried out in the shallow water area of Wuzhizhou Island,Hainan,South China.Different seabed sediment types,such as sand,seagrass,and coral reefs were effectively identified,with an overall classification accuracy of 92%.Experimental results show that RF matrix optimized by fusing multi-source remote sensing data for feature selection were better than the classification results of simple combinations of data sources,which improved the accuracy of seabed sediment classification.Therefore,the method proposed in this paper can be effectively applied to high-precision seabed sediment classification and habitat mapping around islands and reefs. 展开更多

During bipedal walking,it is critical to detect and adjust the robot postures by feedback control to maintain its normal state amidst multi-source random disturbances arising from some unavoidable uncertain factors.The radical basis function(RBF)neural network model of a five-link biped robot is established,and two certain disturbances and a randomly uncertain disturbance are then mixed with the optimal torques in the network model to study the performance of the biped robot by several evaluation indices and a specific Poincar′e map.In contrast with the simulations,the response varies as desired under optimal inputting while the output is fluctuating in the situation of disturbance driving.Simulation results from noise inputting also show that the dynamics of the robot is less sensitive to the disturbance of knee joint input of the swing leg than those of the other three joints,the response errors of the biped will be increasing with higher disturbance levels,and especially there are larger output fluctuations in the knee and hip joints of the swing leg. 展开更多

A composite anti-disturbance predictive control strategy employing a Multi-dimensional Taylor Network(MTN)is presented for unmanned systems subject to time-delay and multi-source disturbances.First,the multi-source disturbances are addressed according to their specific characteristics as follows:(A)an MTN data-driven model,which is used for uncertainty description,is designed accompanied with the mechanism model to represent the unmanned systems;(B)an adaptive MTN filter is used to remove the influence of the internal disturbance;(C)an MTN disturbance observer is constructed to estimate and compensate for the influence of the external disturbance;(D)the Extended Kalman Filter(EKF)algorithm is utilized as the learning mechanism for MTNs.Second,to address the time-delay effect,a recursiveτstep-ahead MTN predictive model is designed utilizing recursive technology,aiming to mitigate the impact of time-delay,and the EKF algorithm is employed as its learning mechanism.Then,the MTN predictive control law is designed based on the quadratic performance index.By implementing the proposed composite controller to unmanned systems,simultaneous feedforward compensation and feedback suppression to the multi-source disturbances are conducted.Finally,the convergence of the MTN and the stability of the closed-loop system are established utilizing the Lyapunov theorem.Two exemplary applications of unmanned systems involving unmanned vehicle and rigid spacecraft are presented to validate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. 展开更多

Obtaining high-quality 10000-meter-deep seafloor sediment samples is the prerequisite and foundation for conducting deep-sea geological and environmental scientific research.The bottom structure of the deep seafloor is complex,and the physical and mechanical properties and disturbance resistance of sediments of different lithologies vary greatly,so the sediment sampler inevitably disturbs the sediments during the sampling process and affects the quality of the sediment samples.A new type of deep-sea sediment pressure retaining sampler is introduced,the force state and elastic–plastic state of the sampler destroying sediments are analyzed,the radial disturbance model of sediment coring based on the spherical cavity expansion theory is established,and the radius of sediments undergoing plastic deformation around the spherical holes is used as an index for evaluating the radial disturbance of sediments.The distribution of stress and strain fields in the sediments during the expansion of the spherical cavity and the influencing factors of the radius of the radially disturbed region(plastic region)are analyzed using an arithmetic example,and the influence law is analyzed.A sediment disturbance experimental platform was built indoors to simulate the sediment coring process.The radial stress field and pore water pressure of the sediment during the coring process were monitored by sensors arranged inside the sediment,and the results of indoor tests verified the correctness of the perturbation theory model.The sampler was carried aboard the deep-sea manned submersible FENDOUZHE and conducted on-site tests at depths of 9298.4 and 9142.8 m in the Kuril-Kamchatka Trench.Pressure-preserved sediment samples were retrieved,with preservation rates of 94.21%and 92.02%,respectively,which are much higher than the current technical indicator of 80%of pressure-holding ratio for deep-sea sediments.The retrieved sediments have obvious stratification characteristics and little disturbance. 展开更多

The output feedback active disturbance rejection control of a valve-controlled cylinder electro-hydraulic servo system is investigated in this paper.First,a comprehensive nonlinear mathematical model that encompasses both matched and mismatched disturbances is formulated.Due to the fact that only position information can be measured,a linear Extended State Observer(ESO)is introduced to estimate unknown states and matched disturbances,while a dedicated disturbance observer is constructed to estimate mismatched disturbances.Different from the traditional observer results,the design of the disturbance observer used in this study is carried out under the constraint of output feedback.Furthermore,an output feedback nonlinear controller is proposed leveraging the aforementioned observers to achieve accurate trajectory tracking.To mitigate the inherent differential explosion problem of the traditional backstepping framework,a finite-time stable command filter is incorporated.Simultaneously,considering transient filtering errors,a set of error compensation signals are designed to counter their negative impact effectively.Theoretical analysis affirms that the proposed control strategy ensures the boundedness of all signals within the closed-loop system.Additionally,under the specific condition of only time-invariant disturbances in the system,the conclusion of asymptotic stability is established.Finally,the algorithm’s efficacy is validated through comparative experiments. 展开更多

A better understanding of the structure and dynamics of disturbed forests is key for forecasting their future successional trajectories.Despite vulnerability of subalpine forests to warming climate,little is known as to how their community composition has responded to disturbances and climate warming over decades.Before the 1970s,subalpine forests on the southeastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau mainly experienced logging and fire,but afterwards they were more impacted by climate warming.Thus,they provide an excellent setting to test whether disturbances and climate warming led to changes in forest structure.Based on the analysis of 3145 forest inventory plots at 4-to 5-year resolution,we found that spruce-fir forests shifted to pine and broadleaved forests since the early 1970s.Such a turnover in species composition mainly occurred in the 1994e1998 period.By strongly altering site conditions,disturbances in concert with climate warming reshuffle community composition to warm-adapted broadleaf-pine species.Thus,moderate disturbances shifted forest composition through a gradual loss of resilience of spruce-fir forests.Shifts in these foundation species will have profound impacts on ecosystem functions and services.In the future,broadleaved forests could expand more rapidly than evergreen needle-leaved forests under moderate warming scenarios.In addition to climate,the effects of anthropogenic disturbances on subalpine forests should be considered in adaptive forest management and in projections of future forest changes. 展开更多

In permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM)control,the jitter problem affects the system performance,so a novel reaching lawis proposed to construct a non-singular fast terminal slidingmode controller(NFTSMC)to reduce the jitter.To enhance the immunity of the system,a disturbance observer is designed to observe and compensate for the disturbance to the sliding mode controller.In addition,considering that the controller parameters are difficult to adjust,and the traditional zebra optimization algorithm(ZOA)is prone to converge prematurely and fall into local optimum when solving the optimal solution,the improved zebra optimization algorithm(IZOA)is proposed,and the ability of the IZOA in practical applications is verified by using international standard test functions.To verify the performance of IZOA,firstly,the adjustment time of IZOA is reduced by 71.67%compared with ZOA through the step response,and secondly,the tracking error of IZOA is reduced by 51.52%compared with ZOA through the sinusoidal signal following.To verify the performance of the designed controller based on disturbance observer,the designed controller reduces the speed overshoot from 2.5%to 0.63%compared with the traditional NFTSMC in the speed mutation experiment,which is a performance improvement of 70.8%,and the designed controller outperforms the traditional NFTSMC in the load mutation experiment,which is a performance improvement of 60.0%in the case of sudden load addition,and a performance improvement of 90.0%in the case of load release,which verifies that the designed controller outperforms the traditional NFTSMC. 展开更多
