The Fuling shale gas reservoir in Sichuan Basin stands out as China's most promising area for shale gas exploration and recovery. However, the continuous recovery of shale gas in the southern Sichuan Basin has led to well interference events in hundreds of wells, with the furthest well distance reaching over 2000 m. This study introduces a multi-scale approach for transient analysis of a multi-well horizontal pad with well interference in shale gas reservoirs. The approach utilizes Laplace transform technology, boundary element theory, and the finite difference method to address the complexities of the system. Well interference is managed using the pressure superposition principle. To validate the proposed multi-scale method, a commercial numerical simulator is employed. The comprehensive pressure behavior of a multi-well horizontal pad in a shale gas reservoir is analyzed, encompassing wellbore storage effect, skin effect, bilinear flow, linear flow, pseudo-radial flow of primary fractures, well interference period, dual-porosity flow, pseudo-radial flow of the total system, and boundary-dominated flow. A case study is conducted on the typical well, the well with the longest production history in the Fuling shale gas reservoir. The rate transient analysis is conducted to integrate up to 229 days of shale gas production daily data and wellhead pressure data, enabling the generation of pressure behavior under unit flow rate. The results indicate that the linear flow, transitional flow, and boundary-dominated flow are more likely to be observed in the actual data. Secondary fractures are considered to be the primary pathways for fluid migration during well interference events. The evaluated formation permeability is 2.58 × 10^(-2) mD, the well spacing is 227.8 m, the diffusion coefficient is 1.49 × 10^(-4), and the skin factor is 0.09.展开更多

文摘The incremental capacity analysis(ICA)technique is notably limited by its sensitivity to variations in charging conditions, which constrains its practical applicability in real-world scenarios. This paper introduces an ICA-compensation technique to address this limitation and propose a generalized framework for assessing the state of health(SOH)of batteries based on ICA that is applicable under differing charging conditions. This novel approach calculates the voltage profile under quasi-static conditions by subtracting the voltage increase attributable to the additional polarization effects at high currents from the measured voltage profile. This approach's efficacy is contingent upon precisely acquiring the equivalent impedance. To obtain the equivalent impedance throughout the batteries'lifespan while minimizing testing costs, this study employs a current interrupt technique in conjunction with a long short-term memory(LSTM)network to develop a predictive model for equivalent impedance.Following the derivation of ICA curves using voltage profiles under quasi-static conditions, the research explores two scenarios for SOH estimation:one utilizing only incremental capacity(IC)features and the other incorporating both IC features and IC sampling.A genetic algorithm-optimized backpropagation neural network(GABPNN)is employed for the SOH estimation. The proposed generalized framework is validated using independent training and test datasets.Variable test conditions are applied for the test set to rigorously evaluate the methodology under challenging conditions. These evaluation results demonstrate that the proposed framework achieves an estimation accuracy of 1.04%for RMSE and 0.90%for MAPE across a spectrum of charging rates ranging from 0.1 C to 1 C and starting SOCs between 0%and 70%,which constitutes a major advancement compared to established ICA methods. It also significantly enhances the applicability of conventional ICA techniques in varying charging conditions and negates the necessity for separate testing protocols for each charging scenario.

文摘This article presents a micro-structure tensor enhanced elasto-plastic finite element(FE)method to address strength anisotropy in three-dimensional(3D)soil slope stability analysis. The gravity increase method(GIM)is employed to analyze the stability of 3D anisotropic soil slopes. The accuracy of the proposed method is first verified against the data in the literature. We then simulate the 3D soil slope with a straight slope surface and the convex and concave slope surfaces with a 90turning corner to study the 3D effect on slope stability and the failure mechanism under anisotropy conditions.Based on our numerical results, the end effect significantly impacts the failure mechanism and safety factor.Anisotropy degree notably affects the safety factor, with higher degrees leading to deeper landslides. For concave slopes, they can be approximated by straight slopes with suitable boundary conditions to assess their stability.Furthermore,a case study of the Saint-Alban test embankment A in Quebec,Canada,is provided to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed FE model.

文摘This paper presents a framework for constructing surrogate models for sensitivity analysis of structural dynamics behavior.Physical models involving deformation, such as collisions, vibrations, and penetration, are devel-oped using the material point method. To reduce the computational cost of Monte Carlo simulations, response surface models are created as surrogate models for the material point system to approximate its dynamic behavior. An adaptive randomized greedy algorithm is employed to construct a sparse polynomial chaos expansion model with a fixed order, effectively balancing the accuracy and computational efficiency of the surrogate model.Based on the sparse polynomial chaos expansion, sensitivity analysis is conducted using the global finite difference and Sobol methods.Several examples of structural dynamics are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method in addressing structural dynamics problems.

文摘Second-generation high-temperature superconducting(HTS)conductors, specifically rare earth-barium-copper-oxide(REBCO)coated conductor(CC)tapes, are promising candidates for high-energy and high-field superconducting applications. With respect to epoxy-impregnated REBCO composite magnets that comprise multilayer components, the thermomechanical characteristics of each component differ considerably under extremely low temperatures and strong electromagnetic fields.Traditional numerical models include homogenized orthotropic models, which simplify overall field calculation but miss detailed multi-physics aspects, and full refinement(FR)ones that are thorough but computationally demanding.Herein,we propose an extended multi-scale approach for analyzing the multi-field characteristics of an epoxy-impregnated composite magnet assembled by HTS pancake coils. This approach combines a global homogenization(GH)scheme based on the homogenized electromagnetic T-A model,a method for solving Maxwell's equations for superconducting materials based on the current vector potential T and the magnetic field vector potential A,and a homogenized orthotropic thermoelastic model to assess the electromagnetic and thermoelastic properties at the macroscopic scale. We then identify“dangerous regions”at the macroscopic scale and obtain finer details using a local refinement(LR)scheme to capture the responses of each component material in the HTS composite tapes at the mesoscopic scale. The results of the present GH-LR multi-scale approach agree well with those of the FR scheme and the experimental data in the literature, indicating that the present approach is accurate and efficient. The proposed GH-LR multi-scale approach can serve as a valuable tool for evaluating the risk of failure in large-scale HTS composite magnets.

文摘A new finite element method (FEM) of B-spline wavelet on the interval (BSWI) is proposed. Through analyzing the scaling functions of BSWI in one dimension, the basic formula for 2D FEM of BSWI is deduced. The 2D FEM of 7 nodes and 10 nodes are constructed based on the basic formula. Using these proposed elements, the multiscale numerical model for foundation subjected to harmonic periodic load, the foundation model excited by external and internal dynamic load are studied. The results show the pro- posed finite elements have higher precision than the tradi- tional elements with 4 nodes. The proposed finite elements can describe the propagation of stress waves well whenever the foundation model excited by extemal or intemal dynamic load. The proposed finite elements can be also used to con- nect the multi-scale elements. And the proposed finite elements also have high precision to make multi-scale analysis for structure.

文摘A straightforward multi-scale boundary element method is proposed for global and local mechanical analysis of heterogeneous material. The method is more accurate and convenient than finite element based multi-scale method. The formulations of this method are derived by combining the homogenization approach and the fundamental equations of boundary element method. The solution gives the convenient formulations to compute global elastic constants and the local stress field. Finally, two numerical examples of porous material are presented to prove the accuracy and the efficiency of the proposed method. The results show that the method does not require the iteration to obtain the solution of the displacement in micro level.

文摘The investigations of physical attributes of oceans, including parameters such as heat flow and bathymetry, have garnered substantial attention and are particularly valuable for examining Earth’s thermal structures and dynamic processes.Nevertheless, classical plate cooling models exhibit disparities when predicting observed heat flow and seafloor depth for extremely young and old lithospheres.Furthermore,a comprehensive analysis of global heat flow predictions and regional ocean heat flow or bathymetry data with physical models has been lacking. In this study,we employed power-law models derived from the singularity theory of fractal density to meticulously fit the latest ocean heat flow and bathymetry.Notably,power-law models offer distinct advantages over traditional plate cooling models, showcasing robust self-similarity,scale invariance,or scaling properties, and providing a better fit to observed data. The outcomes of our singularity analysis concerning heat flow and bathymetry across diverse oceanic regions exhibit a degree of consistency with the global ocean spreading rate model. In addition,we applied the similarity method to predict a higher resolution(0.1°×0.1°)global heat flow map based on the most recent heat flow data and geological/geophysical observables refined through linear correlation analysis.Regions displaying significant disparities between predicted and observed heat flow are closely linked to hydrothermal vent fields and active structures. Finally, combining the actual bathymetry and predicted heat flow with the power-law models allows for the quantitative and comprehensive detection of anomalous regions of ocean subsidence and heat flow, which deviate from traditional plate cooling models. The anomalous regions of subsidence and heat flow show different degrees of anisotropy, providing new ideas and clues for further analysis of ocean topography or hydrothermal circulation of mid-ocean ridges.

文摘The constant amplitude loading fatigue tests were carried out on the 6061/7075 aluminum alloy TIG fillet welded lap specimens in this study, and the weld seam cross-section hardness was measured. The experimental results show that most specimens mainly failed at the 7075 side weld toes even though the base material tensile strength of 7075 is higher than that of 6061.The maximum stress-strain concentration in the two finite element models is located at the 7075 side weld toe, which is basically consistent with the actual fracture location. The weld zone on the 7075 side experiences severe material softening, with a large gradient. However, the Vickers hardness value on the 6061 side negligibly changes and fluctuates around 70 HV.No obvious defects are found on the fatigue fracture, but a large number of secondary cracks appear.Cracks germinate from the weld toe and propagate in the direction of the plate thickness.Weld reinforcement has a serious impact on fatigue life.Fatigue life will decrease exponentially as the weld reinforcement increases under low stress. It is found that the notch stress method can give a better fatigue life prediction for TIG weldments, and the errors of the predicted results are within the range of two factors, while the prediction accuracy decreases under low stress. The equivalent structural stress method can also be used for fatigue life prediction of TIG weldments, but the errors of prediction results are within the range of three factors, and the accuracy decreases under high stress.

文摘This paper introduces a novel approach for parameter sensitivity evaluation and efficient slope reliability analysis based on quantile-based first-order second-moment method(QFOSM).The core principles of the QFOSM are elucidated geometrically from the perspective of expanding ellipsoids.Based on this geometric interpretation, the QFOSM is further extended to estimate sensitivity indices and assess the significance of various uncertain parameters involved in the slope system. The proposed method has the advantage of computational simplicity, akin to the conventional first-order second-moment method(FOSM),while providing estimation accuracy close to that of the first-order reliability method(FORM).Its performance is demonstrated with a numerical example and three slope examples. The results show that the proposed method can efficiently estimate the slope reliability and simultaneously evaluate the sensitivity of the uncertain parameters. The proposed method does not involve complex optimization or iteration required by the FORM.It can provide a valuable complement to the existing approximate reliability analysis methods, offering rapid sensitivity evaluation and slope reliability analysis.

文摘In this paper, the multi-body coupled dynamic characteristics of a semisubmersible platform and an HYSY 229 barge were investigated.First, coupled hydrodynamic analysis of the HYSY 229 barge and the semisubmersible platform was performed.Relevant hydrodynamic parameters were obtained using the retardation function method of three-dimensional frequency-domain potential flow theory. The results of the hydrodynamic analysis were highly consistent with the test findings, verifying the accuracy of the multifloating hydrodynamic coupling analysis, and key hydrodynamic parameters were solved for different water depths and the coupling effect.According to the obtained results, the hydrodynamic influence was the largest in shallow waters when the coupling effect was considered.Furthermore, the coupled motion equation combined with viscous damping, fender system, and mooring system was established, and the hydrodynamics, floating body motion, and dynamic response of the fender system were analyzed.Motion analysis revealed good agreement among the surge, sway, and yaw motions of the two floating bodies. However, when the wave period reached 10 s,the motion of the two floating bodies showed severe shock, and a relative motion was also observed. Therefore, excessive constraints should be added between the two floating bodies during construction to ensure construction safety. The numerical analysis and model test results of the semisubmersible platform and HYSY 229 barge at a water depth of 42 m and sea conditions of 0°,45°,and 90° were in good agreement, and the error was less than 5%.The maximum movement of the HYSY 229 barge reached 2.61 m in the sway direction, whereas that of the semisubmersible platform was 2.11 m.During construction, excessive constraints should be added between the two floating bodies to limit their relative movement and ensure construction safety.

文摘This paper proposes a novel numerical solution approach for the kinematic shakedown analysis of strain-hardening thin plates using the C^(1)nodal natural element method(C^(1)nodal NEM).Based on Koiter’s theorem and the von Mises and two-surface yield criteria,a nonlinear mathematical programming formulation is constructed for the kinematic shakedown analysis of strain-hardening thin plates, and the C^(1)nodal NEM is adopted for discretization.Additionally,König’s theory is used to deal with time integration by treating the generalized plastic strain increment at each load vertex.A direct iterative method is developed to linearize and solve this formulation by modifying the relevant objective function and equality constraints at each iteration.Kinematic shakedown load factors are directly calculated in a monotonically converging manner.Numerical examples validate the accuracy and convergence of the developed method and illustrate the influences of limited and unlimited strain-hardening models on the kinematic shakedown load factors of thin square and circular plates.

文摘The hydroelastic behavior of a moored oil storage vessel subjected to arbitrary time-dependent external loads, which include wind, waves, and currents with different incident directions,is investigated with the time-domain modal expansion method.First, the water boundary integral equations on the body surface of a quarter model, which can be obtained via the free-surface Green’s function method, are established. Then, the time-dependent elastic deflection of the moored oil storage vessel is expressed by a superposition of modal functions and corresponding modal amplitudes, and a Galerkin scheme is applied to derive the linear system of equations for the modal amplitudes. The second-order linear differential equations for modal amplitudes are solved via the fourth-order Runge−Kutta method. The present model is validated against existing frequency domain results for a truncated cylinder and a VLFS.Numerical calculations for the moored oil storage vessel are then conducted to obtain the time series of various modal amplitudes and elastic displacements of the measurement points and the corresponding spectra with different incident directions.

文摘Reconfigurable intelligent surface(RIS)is a novel meta-material which can form a smart radio environment by dynamically altering reflection directions of the impinging electromagnetic waves. In the prior literature, the inter-RIS links which also contribute to the performance of the whole system are usually neglected when multiple RISs are deployed. In this paper we investigate a general double-RIS assisted multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO)wireless communication system under spatially correlated non line-of-sight propagation channels, where the cooperation of the double RISs is also considered. The design objective is to maximize the achievable ergodic rate based on full statistical channel state information(CSI).Specifically,we firstly present a closedform asymptotic expression for the achievable ergodic rate by utilizing replica method from statistical physics. Then a full statistical CSI-enabled optimal design is proposed which avoids high pilot training overhead compared to instantaneous CSI-enabled design. To further reduce the signal processing overhead and lower the complexity for practical realization,a common-phase scheme is proposed to design the double RISs.Simulation results show that the derived asymptotic ergodic rate is quite accurate even for small-sized antenna arrays. And the proposed optimization algorithm can achieve substantial gain at the expense of a low overhead and complexity.Furthermore, the cooperative double-RIS assisted MIMO framework is proven to achieve superior ergodic rate performance and high communication reliability under harsh propagation environment.

文摘The inflation tests of rubbery membranes have been widely employed as an efficient method to characterize the stress response as biaxial loading states. However, most of the previous theoretical works have employed classic hyperelastic models to analyze the deformation behaviors of inflated membranes. The classic models have been demonstrated to lack the ability to capturing the biaxial deformation of rubbers. To address this issue,we have combined the analytical method and the finite element simulation to investigate the deformation response of soft membranes with different constitutive relationships. For the analytical method, the governing ordinary differential equations have been set up for the boundary value problem of inflation tests and further solved using the shooting method. The analytical results are consistent with those obtained from finite element simulation. The results show that the deformation belongs to the unequal biaxial condition rather than the equi-biaxial state unless a neo-Hookean model is adopted. We also perform a parameter study using the extended eight-chain model, which shows that a change in different parameters affects the mechanical response of inflation tests variously. This work may shed light on the future experimental characterization of soft materials using inflation experiments.
