For carrier-based unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs),one of the important problems is the design of an automatic carrier landing system(ACLS)that would enable the UAVs to accomplish autolanding on the aircraft carrier.However,due to the movements of the flight deck with six degree-of-freedom,the autolanding becomes sophisticated.To solve this problem,an accurate and effective ACLS is developed,which is composed of an optimal preview control based flight control system and a Kalman filter based deck motion predictor.The preview control fuses the future information of the reference glide slope to improve landing precision.The reference glide slope is normally a straight line.However,the deck motion will change the position of the ideal landing point,and tracking the ideal straight glide slope may cause landing failure.Therefore,the predictive deck motion information from the deck motion predictor is used to correct the reference glide slope,which decreases the dispersion around the desired landing point.Finally,simulations are carried out to verify the performance of the designed ACLS based on a nonlinear UAV model. 展开更多

This paper focuses on the application of H_∞preview control in automatic carrier landing system(ACLS)for carrier-based aircraft.Due to the mutual movement between aircraft and carrier,the landing process becomes considerably more challenging compared to a conventional runway landing.ACLS systems mitigate this by predicting deck motion and generating ideal glide slope path for tracking.Although,this predicted glide slope information is available in advance,conventional control structures are still unable to use this future information.H_∞preview control has the ability to utilize this future information for improving tracking response and disturbance rejection.The process of incorporating preview information into ACLS framework and synthesizing the H_∞preview controller is presented.The methodology is verified using the example of F/A-18 automatic carrier landing problem and results are presented. 展开更多

Carrier-based aircraft carrier landing is a special kind of tracking control problem and not suitable for classical control methods,which may miss the desired performance or result in overdesign.Therefore,we present an optimal preview control for automatic carrier landing system(ACLS)by using state information of system,as well as future reference information,which can avoid the shortcomings of classical control methods.Since the flight performance of carrier-based aircraft is disturbed by air wake when the aircraft flies near the area of carrier stern,we design a disturbance rejection strategy to ensure that aircraft track the glide path with high precision and robustness.Further,carrier-based aircraft is a complex nonlinear system.However,the nonlinear model of carrier-based aircraft can be linearized at equilibrium landing state and decoupled into the longitudinal model and the lateral model.Therefore,an optimal preview control system is designed.The simulation results of a carrier-based aircraft show that the optimal preview control system can effectively suppress air wake.Tracking accuracy of optimal preview controller is higher than that of the proportional integral differential(PID)control system. 展开更多

Previous studies have confirmed in simulation and experiment that an improved control performance can be obtained when the optimal preview control method was applied to an active suspension system for a quarter car model. In order to investigate the effectiveness not only in riding comfort but also in road handling, an half car model with the hydro pneumatic active suspension system is proposed in this study. Whole preview control method and partial preview control method, in which the road information detected by the front wheel is sent to the controller to decide the input to rear suspension, are taken into design of the active suspension control system. Results of numerical simulation show that satisfactory control efficiency could be achieved in both whole preview control and partial preview control. The comparison of results suggests that whole preview control method can provide better system performance, but the partial preview control method is superior due to its lower cost. 展开更多

In this method, tracking errors and control increments are both considered in the quadratic cost function. Integrating the general optimal servo system with a preview feedforward compensation that feeds forward future command and future disturbance produces an optimal preview servo system. In the terrain following system, the flight altitude of the cruise missile is a command signal, and its future information can be known apriori. Hence, we have designed a terrain following controller with a basic state feedback and a feedforward compensation for future altitude information. Simulation results show that the performance of the terrain following system with such an optimal preview controller has been improved dramatically. 展开更多

Design of a Preview Controller for Articulated Heavy Vehicles

An AHV consists of a towing unit, namely tractor or tr... The paper presents a preview controller design for ATS (active trailer steering) systems to improve high-speed stability of AHVs (articulated heavy vehicles). An AHV consists of a towing unit, namely tractor or truck, and one or more towed units which called trailers. Individual units are connected to one another at articulated joints by mechanical couplings. Due to the multi-unit configurations, AHVs exhibit unique unstable motion modes, including jack-knifing, trailer swing and rollover. These unstable motion modes are the leading cause of highway accidents. To prevent these unstable motion modes, the preview controller, namely the LPDP (lateral position deviation preview) controller, is proposed. For a truck/full-trailer combination, the LPDP controller is designed to control the steering of the front and rear axle wheels of the trailing unit. The calculation of the corrective steering angle of the trailer front axle wheels is based on the preview information of the lateral position deviation of the trajectory of the axle center from that of the truck front axle center. Similarly, the steering angle of the trailer rear axle wheels is calculated by using the lateral position deviation of the trajectory of the axle center from that of the truck front axle. To perform closed-loop dynamic simulations and evaluate the vehicle performance measure, a driver model is introduced and it 'derives' the AHV model based on well-defined testing specifications. The proposed preview control scheme in the continuous time domain is developed by using the LQR (linear quadratic regular) technique. The closed-loop simulation results indicate that the performance of the AHV with the LPDP controller is improved by decreasing rearward amplification ratio from the baseline value of 1.28 to 0.98 and reducing transient off-tracking by 95.03%. The proposed LPDP control algorithm provides an alternative method for the design optimization of AHVs with ATS systems. 展开更多

等价输入干扰补偿的互联系统预见控制研究

针对传统预见控制在外部干扰作用下的互联连续时间系统中存在的跟踪性能下降问题,提出了一种基于等价输入干扰(equivalent input disturbance,EID)补偿的分散式鲁棒预见控制(preview control,PC)方法。首先设计EID估计器实现对子系统外... 针对传统预见控制在外部干扰作用下的互联连续时间系统中存在的跟踪性能下降问题,提出了一种基于等价输入干扰(equivalent input disturbance,EID)补偿的分散式鲁棒预见控制(preview control,PC)方法。首先设计EID估计器实现对子系统外部干扰的在线估计与补偿,从而有效降低了干扰对系统性能的影响;然后引入一个基于预见信息的新等式约束,构建分散式预见控制器,并构造增广误差系统,将控制器设计问题转化为误差系统的稳定化问题;最后结合Lyapunov稳定性理论、线性矩阵不等式工具和奇异值分解技术,给出了保证闭环系统渐近稳定且满足H_(∞)性能指标的充分条件,并求解出控制器及观测器增益。耦合倒立摆平台上的数值仿真表明,所提控制策略能将干扰引起的最大跟踪误差由0.3157降低至0.0483,进入稳态的恢复时间由213 ms缩短到25 ms,超调量由19.58%降至2.06%,显著优于传统预见控制和滑模控制,验证了方法在干扰抑制与跟踪性能方面的有效性和优越性。 展开更多

针对分布式驱动四轮转向无人驾驶电动拖拉机存在的轮胎早期磨损和整车稳定性欠佳等问题,阐述了其工作特点,建立了四轮转向拖拉机动力学模型和理想二自由度参考模型。首先,提出了一种基于滑模控制的四轮转向控制策略,采用质心侧偏角和横... 针对分布式驱动四轮转向无人驾驶电动拖拉机存在的轮胎早期磨损和整车稳定性欠佳等问题,阐述了其工作特点,建立了四轮转向拖拉机动力学模型和理想二自由度参考模型。首先,提出了一种基于滑模控制的四轮转向控制策略,采用质心侧偏角和横摆角速度的偏差来确定系统控制量,设计了四轮转向控制器;然后,分析了无人驾驶控制机理,建立了基于轨迹预瞄的无人驾驶模型,并设计了预瞄控制器;最后,通过控制器解算出前后轮的转向角度,并将结果反馈给拖拉机模型,基于对拖拉机前后转向车轮转向角度的闭环控制达到优化控制的目的,提高拖拉机稳定性能、转向性能和轨迹跟踪能力。Carsim和Matlab/Simulink联合仿真结果显示:实施控制策略的质心侧偏角小于0.006 rad,横摆角速度小于0.15 rad/s,跟踪轨迹横向误差小于0.06 m;拖拉机实车测试结果显示:在3 m/s作业速度范围内,最大偏航距离能够有效控制在0.06 m以内,地头转弯半径能够稳定控制在3.2 m以内,作业效果良好。由此表明:设计的转向控制器在保持拖拉机稳定性和轨迹跟踪控制方面表现出色,控制策略具有可行性。 展开更多

A neuron proportion integration (PI) control strategy for semi-active suspension system of tracked vehicle was proposed based on its unique structure and the multiple and complex environment of the driving traffic. An adaptive genetic algorithm is used to optimize the parameters of the neuron PI controller. The simulation result of the neuron PI control for semi-active suspension system of tracked vehicle indicates that the vertical amplitude,pitch angle and vertical acceleration of the vehicle are well controlled. The root mean square (RMS) of the vertical amplitude decreases by 37.2%,and 45.2% for the pitch angle,38.6% for the vertical acceleration. The research of neuron PI control experiment for the semi-active suspension system of the tracked vehicle model mining in benthal indicates that the RMS of the weight acceleration vibrating along the vertical direction decreases by 29.5%,the power spectral density resonance peak of the acceleration of the car body decreases by 23.8%. 展开更多

本文研究一类带有外部干扰和输入饱和的连续时间系统的预见控制问题.为了能成功地构造出连续时间输入饱和系统的误差系统,与以往对系统方程求导不同,本文利用状态平移方法代替状态求导,使得输入饱和连续时间系统的误差系统的构造成为可... 本文研究一类带有外部干扰和输入饱和的连续时间系统的预见控制问题.为了能成功地构造出连续时间输入饱和系统的误差系统,与以往对系统方程求导不同,本文利用状态平移方法代替状态求导,使得输入饱和连续时间系统的误差系统的构造成为可能.这样原系统的预见饱和控制就转化为误差系统的标准饱和控制问题.另外,针对原系统的误差系统,分别引入状态反馈和静态输出反馈,并改写输入向量以便利用可预见信号的未来信息.利用Lyapunov函数及LMI技巧,导出了闭环系统渐近稳定的充分条件.最后仿真例子表明了本文结果的有效性. 展开更多
