In the environmentofVSN, massive private data generated by vehicles are transmitted in open channels and used by other vehicle users,so it is crucial to maintain high transmission efficiency and high confidentiality of data. To deal with this problem, inthis paper, we propose a heterogeneous fault-tolerant aggregate signcryption scheme with an equality test (HFTASET).The scheme combines fault-tolerant and aggregate signcryption, whichnot onlymakes up for the deficiency oflow security of aggregate signature, but alsomakes up for the deficiency that aggregate signcryption cannot tolerateinvalid signature. The scheme supports one verification pass when all signcryptions are valid, and it supportsunbounded aggregation when the total number of signcryptions grows dynamically. In addition, this schemesupports heterogeneous equality test, and realizes the access control of private data in different cryptographicenvironments, so as to achieve flexibility in the application of our scheme and realize the function of quick searchof plaintext or ciphertext. Then, the security of HFTAS-ET is demonstrated by strict theoretical analysis. Finally, weconduct strict and standardized experimental operation and performance evaluation, which shows that the schemehas better performance.展开更多

Hansen and Spuhler [1] developed a more naturalistic, genetically heterogeneous rat stock with the aim of optimizing the distribution of genotypic frequencies and recombination and under the hypothesis that the NIH-HS stock could yield a broad-range distribution of responses (broader than commonly used laboratory rat strains) to experimental conditions, and thus serve as a base population for selection studies. Along the last decade, in a series of studies we have phenotypically characterized the NIH-HS rat stock (a colony exists at our laboratory since 2004) for their anxiety/fearfulness profiles (using a battery of both unconditioned and conditioned tests/tasks), as well as regarding their stress-induced hormonal responses, coping style under inescapable stress and spatial learning ability. We have also compared the phenotypic profiles of NIH-HS rats with those of the low anxious RHA-I and the high anxious RLA-I rat strains. The NIH-HS rat stock is, as a population, a rather anxious type of rat, with predominantly reactive/passive coping style in unlearned and learned anxiety/fear tests, and elevated stress hormone responses (as well as enhanced “depressive” symptoms in the forced swimming test). Genetic studies currently under way have thus far revealed that the genetically heterogeneous NIH-HS rat stock constitutes a unique tool for fine mapping of QTL (for multiple behavioural and biological complex traits) to megabase resolution levels, thus enabling candidate gene identification. We give some examples of this in the present paper, while also highlighting that microarray gene expression studies reveal that HPA-axis- and prolactin-related genes (among others) in the amygdala appear to be related with (or associated to) the coping style and anxiety/fearfulness responses of NIH-HS rats.展开更多

Two modified tests (PL1, PL2) were proposed by replacing the profile maximum likelihood estimator (PMLE) into the variance formula of logarithm of risk ratio in the standard chi-square test statistic for testing the null common risk ratios across all k studies (i = 1, L, k). The simply naive test (SIM) as another comparative candidate has considerably arisen. The performance of tests in terms of type I error rate under the null hypothesis and power of test under the random effects hypothesis was done via a simulation plan with various combinations of significance levels, numbers of studies, sample sizes in treatment and control arms, and true risk ratios as effect sizes of interest. The results indicated that for moderate to large study sizes (k?≥ 16)?in combination with moderate to large sample sizes?(?≥ 50), three tests (PL1, PL2, and Q) could control type I error rates in almost all situations. Two proposed tests (PL1, PL2) performed best with the highest power when?k?≥ 16?and moderate sample sizes (= 50,100);this finding was very useful to make a recommendation to use them in practical situations. Meanwhile, the standard Q test performed best when?k?≥ 16 and large sample sizes (≥ 500). Moreover, no tests were reasonable for small sample sizes (≤ 10), regardless of study size k. The simply naive test (SIM) is recommended to be adopted with high performance when k = 4 in combination with (≥ 500).展开更多

Using Cooper-Jacobs non-equilibrium graphical method, the hydraulic properties were estimated from pumping test data of 18 boreholes. Conductivity varies from 1.02 × 10﹣2 m/s to 4.07 × 10﹣2 m/s and transmissivity varies from 1.14 × 10﹣1 m2/s to 4.40 × 10﹣1 m2/s. The values of specific capacity range between 1.03 × 10﹣1 m2/s/m and 9.00 × 10﹣2 m2/s/m, and these values indicate that the aquifers in the area have low to moderate ground water potentials. The low yield range of between 0.45 l/s and 1.00 l/s recorded in the area shows the heterogeneous and anisotropy nature of the basement aquifer system in terms of groundwater discharge. On the average, the boreholes assessed have potentials to sustain local to regional supply provided the best drilling method and materials are used and well completion properly done.展开更多

Taking advantage of these profiles, and knowing that they show very poor performance in the two-way active (shuttle box) escape/avoidance task, we have tested NIH-HS rats (n = 80) in the forced swimming test (FST) as well as we have studied escape response deficits (i.e. response failures) of the same animals in the two-way shuttle box task. They were also tested for anxiety in the elevated zero-maze. The goal of such a study was that of investigating whether there are associations or relationships among helplessness-like or passive coping responses between both models of depression, i.e. the FST and the helplessness-like escape deficits in the shuttle box task. The results for the first time show associations among responses from both depression models and that selecting rats for displaying extreme (active or passive) responses in one of the models predict in a coherent manner (according to the hypothesis) their behaviour in the other model. These findings are discussed in the context of the concurrent validity of both models of depression as well as concerning the possible relevance of NIH-HS rats as a tool for future studies on this field.展开更多
