This study was conducted to select new strawberry cultivars with early maturity, disease resistance and high quality, by optimizing the hybrid combinations of Benihoppe, a Japanese strawberry cultivar, which is extensively planted but not resistant to anthrax. The reciprocal crosses were performed using Benihoppe, as the female parent, four disease-resistant European cultivars Albion, Camino Real, Ven- tana and Virginia, and one Japanese cultivar Meiho as the male parent. Then, the seedling propagation coefficient, disease resistance, fruit quality and yield of F1 gen- eration of the combinations were detected and compared. Besides, the breeding and traits of a new cultivar F1-40 developed from the cross between Benihoppe and Mei- ho were introduced as an instance to prove the feasibility of the combinations/lines. 展开更多

Laser-assisted drilling combined with full-size polycrystalline diamond compact(PDC)bit is considered a feasible solution to enhance the drilling performance of engineering machinery.In this method,determining the optimal collaborative control parameters that support rapid drilling is crucial for improving the combined performance.This study used average drilling speed,average torque,and total specificenergy for quantitative analysis to characterize the efficiencyand economy of combined rock breaking.Given the advantage of the response surface methodology in providing high-precision predictions with limited experimental data,regression models of the average drilling speed,average torque,and total specificenergy were established.The results showed that as the laser power and irradiation time increased,the average drilling speed firstincreased rapidly and then leveled off,while the average torque decreased sharply before decelerating.The total specificenergy initially decreased and then increased,with the combined drilling outperforming conventional mechanical drilling within specific parameter ranges.As the weight on bit increased,both the average torque and total specificenergy first decreased and then increased.With rising rotating speed,the average torque exhibited a trend of initial increase,then decrease,and finalincrease,whereas the total specificenergy increased slowly at firstand then sharply.Both parameters exhibited optimal values at which the average torque and total specific energy remained at minimal levels.For granite combined drilling,the optimal performance was achieved at a laser power of 3000 W,irradiation time of 31 s,the weight on bit of 2.4 kN,and the rotating speed of 97 r/min. 展开更多

Bananas are highly perishable after harvest,and processing them into dried products is a crucial approach to reducing losses and adding their economic values.To address the inefficiency and prolonged duration of traditional hot air drying(HAD)and the quality inconsistency associated with single infrared drying(IRD),this study proposed a novel hot air-infrared combined drying(HAD-IRD)strategy.The effects of HAD,IRD,and HAD-IRD on the drying kinetics,color,rehydration capacity,moisture diffusion mechanism,and sensory quality of banana slices were systematically investigated.The parameters of the combined drying process were optimized using an L_(9)(3^(3))orthogonal experimental design.Results indicated that both IRD and HAD-IRD significantly reduced drying time compared to single HAD.While single IRD achieved a rapid drying rate,the lack of effective convective airflow led to potential case-hardening and unstable product quality.In contrast,the HAD-IRD strategy demonstrated a synergistic effect.The optimal parameters were determined as follows:hot air temperature of 70℃,infrared temperature of 60℃,and radiation distance of 16 cm.Under these optimized conditions,HAD-IRD reduced the total drying time by over 70%while simultaneously yielding products with superior color,higher sensory scores,and improved rehydration ratio.This study confirms that HAD-IRD is an efficient and high-quality drying method for banana slices,providing a reliable theoretical foundation and technical solution for the drying of thermosensitive fruits. 展开更多

Meanwhile, since it is a productive system with both high input and output, it has an obvious economic significance to improve its operating efficiency. For an example, an unit is 10 GW scale, if its standard coal consumption can be decreased with 1 g/kW·h, it can save about 5 000 tons standard coal per year. It will be discussed mainly that how to establish optimization model and its numerical algorithm for operating management of the electric power system. The idea on establishing optimization model is how to dispatch work state of units or power plants, so that total cost of fuel consumption for generation is reduced to the minimum. Here the dispatch is to decide which unit or plant to operate, which unit or plant to stop running, how much power should be generated for those operating units or plants at each given time interval. 展开更多

Based on the productivity equation of coalbed methane(CBM) wells, three indexes, main production layer optimization index, main production layer expansion index and capacity contribution index are proposed, with which the three-step optimization method of production-layer combination is established. In selecting main production layer, the coal seam thickness, CBM content, coal seam permeability, coal seam reservoir pressure and coal structure are considered comprehensively to evaluate the potential of the production layer. In selecting expansion of the main production layer combination, on the premise of ensuring full and slow desorption of the main production layer and non-exposure of the main production layer out of liquid surface, the degree of mutual interference between the main and non-main production layers is comprehensively evaluated by coupling the critical desorption pressure, layer spacing and reservoir pressure gradient difference. In optimizing production layer combination, the main concern is the economic efficiency of the combined layers. Only when the contribution coefficient of the main production layer is greater than 30% and the contribution index of the other production layers is more than 10%, the economic benefit of a CBM well after being put into production can be ensured. Based on the comparative analysis of the development effect of the development test wells in Songhe of Guizhou province, it is proved that the "three-step method" for the optimization of production-layer combination is scientific and practical, and can be used to design the multi-layer commingling scheme of coalbed methane. 展开更多

The accurate measurement of surfaces of large aviation components is vital for the assessment of manufacturing and assembly quality of such components.To satisfy the measurement requirement of large-size components,most current researches pay more attention to combined measurement methods utilizing different measuring instruments,but the related researches on error analysis and optimization methods are not taken enough attention.This paper proposes a combined laser-assisted measurement method with feature enhancement techniques,and it also develops an error propagation model of the main factors affecting the overall measurement error in detail.Firstly,the surface of a large-size component is measured by the measurement system at multiple stations.Secondly,a control point coordinate system is established as a bridge to unify all local measurement data into the global coordinate system.To improve the overall measurement accuracy,the pixel extraction error as a key factor causing the overall measurement error is analyzed in detail.Next,the error propagation model is established,and some optimization strategies of layout for minimizing measurement error and transformation error are researched.Finally,experiments are carried out to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.The results show that the measurement error of the proposed method reaches 0.073%and 0.14%with a 1 D standard ruler and a flat plate,respectively. 展开更多

The combination regimen of trastuzumab(Tras)plus Nab-paclitaxel(Nab)is recommended to treat HER2-positive(HER2+)cancers.However,they exert effects in different mechanisms:Tras need to stay on cell membranes,while Nab need to be endocytosed,therefore the concurrent combination regimen may not be the best one in HER2+tumors treatment.Caveolin-1(Cav-1)is a key player in mediating their endocytosis and is associated with their efficacy,but few researches noticed the opposite effect of Cav-1 expression on the combination efficacy.Herein,we systematically studied the Cav-1 expression level on the combination efficacy and proposed an optimized and clinically feasible combination regimen for HER2+Cav-1 High tumor treatment.In the regimen,lovastatin(Lova)was introduced to modulate the Cav-1 expression and the results indicated that Lova could downregulate Cav-1 expression,increase Tras retention on cell membrane and enhance the in vitro cytotoxicity of Tras in HER2+Cav-1 High cells but not in HER2+Cav-1 Low cells.Therefore,by exchanging the dosing sequence of Nab and Tras,and by adding Lova at appropriate time points,the precise three-drug-sequential regimen(PTDS,Nab(D1)-Lova(D2)-Lova&Tras(D2+12 h))was established.Compared with the concurrent regimen,the PTDS regimen exhibited a higher in vitro cytotoxicity and a stronger tumor growth inhibition in HER2+Cav-1 High tumors,which might be a promising combination regimen for these patients in clinics. 展开更多

A mathematical optimization model was set up for a ground-solar combined system based on in-situ experimental results, in which the solar collector was combined serially with a ground-coupled heat pump (GCHP). The universal optimal equations were solved by the constrained variable metric method considering both the per-formance and economics. Then the model was applied to a specific case concerning an actual solar assisted GCHP system for space heating. The results indicated a system coefficient of performance (COP) of 3.9 for the optimal method under the serial heating mode, and 3.2 for the conventional one. In addition, the optimum solution also showed advantages in energy and cost saving, leading to a 16.7% improvement in the heat pump performance at 17.2% less energy consumption and 11.8% lower annual cost, respectively. 展开更多

This paper presents the solution to the combined heat and power economic dispatch problem using a direct solution algorithm for constrained optimization problems. With the potential of Combined Heat and Power (CHP) production to increase the efficiency of power and heat generation simultaneously having been researched and established, the increasing penetration of CHP systems, and determination of economic dispatch of power and heat assumes higher relevance. The Combined Heat and Power Economic Dispatch (CHPED) problem is a demanding optimization problem as both constraints and objective functions can be non-linear and non-convex. This paper presents an explicit formula developed for computing the system-wide incremental costs corresponding with optimal dispatch. The circumvention of the use of iterative search schemes for this crucial step is the innovation inherent in the proposed dispatch procedure. The feasible operating region of the CHP unit three is taken into account in the proposed CHPED problem model, whereas the optimal dispatch of power/heat outputs of CHP unit is determined using the direct Lagrange multiplier solution algorithm. This study focused on the mechanical behavior of a deep-buried tunnel constructed in horizontally layered limestone,and investigated the effect of a new combined rockboltecable support system on the tunnel response.The Yujingshan Tunnel,excavated through a giant karst cave,was used as a case study.Firstly,a multi-objective optimization model for the rockboltecable support was proposed by using fuzzy mathematics and multi-objective comprehensive decision-making principles.Subsequently,the parameters of the surrounding rock were calibrated by comparing the simulation results obtained by the discrete element method(DEM)with the field monitoring data to obtain an optimized support scheme based on the optimization model.Finally,the optimization scheme was applied to the karst cave section,which was divided into the B-and C-shaped sections.The distribution range of the rockboltecable support in the C-shaped section was larger than that in the B-shaped section.The field monitoring results,including tunnel crown settlement,horizontal convergence,and axial force of the rockboltecable system,were analyzed to assess the effectiveness of the optimization scheme.The maximum crown settlement and horizontal convergence were measured to be 25.9 mm and 35 mm,accounting for 0.1%and 0.2%of the tunnel height and span,respectively.Although the C-shaped section had poorer rock properties than the B-shaped section,the crown settlement and horizontal convergence in the C-shaped section ranged from 46%to 97%of those observed in the B-shaped section.The cable axial force in the Bshaped section was approximately 60%of that in the C-shaped section.The axial force in the crown rockbolt was much smaller than that in the sidewall rockbolt.Field monitoring results demonstrated that the optimized scheme effectively controlled the deformation of the layered surrounding rock,ensuring that it remained within a safe range.These results provide valuable references for the design of support systems in deep-buried tunnels situated in layered rock masses. 展开更多

The mixed model of improved exponential and power function and unequal interval gray GM(1,1)model have poor accuracy in predicting the maximum pull-out load of anchor bolts.An optimal combination model was derived using the optimally weighted combination theory and the minimum sum of logarithmic squared errors as the objective function.Two typical anchor bolt pull-out engineering cases were selected to compare the performance of the proposed model with those of existing ones.Results showed that the optimal combination model was suitable not only for the slow P-s curve but also for the steep P-s curve.Its accuracy and stable reliability,as well as its prediction capability classification,were better than those of the other prediction models.Therefore,the optimal combination model is an effective processing method for predicting the maximum pull-out load of anchor bolts according to measured data. 展开更多

This paper proposed an initiative optimization operation strategy and multi-objective energy management method for combined cooling heating and power U+0028 CCHP U+0029 with storage systems. Initially, the initiative optimization operation strategy of CCHP system in the cooling season, the heating season and the transition season was formulated. The energy management of CCHP system was optimized by the multi-objective optimization model with maximum daily energy efficiency, minimum daily carbon emissions and minimum daily operation cost based on the proposed initiative optimization operation strategy. Furthermore, the pareto optimal solution set was solved by using the niche particle swarm multi-objective optimization algorithm. Ultimately, the most satisfactory energy management scheme was obtained by using the technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution U+0028 TOPSIS U+0029 method. A case study of CCHP system used in a hospital in the north of China validated the effectiveness of this method. The results showed that the satisfactory energy management scheme of CCHP system was obtained based on this initiative optimization operation strategy and multi-objective energy management method. In this paper,we develop an inexact symmetric proximal alternating direction method of multipliers(ISPADMM)with two convex combinations(ISPADMM-tcc)for solving two-block separable convex optimization problems with linear equality constraints.Specifically,the convex combination technique is incorporated into the proximal centers of both subproblems.We then approximately solve these two subproblems based on relative error criteria.The global convergence,and O(1/N)ergodic sublinear convergence rate measured by the function value residual and constraint violation are established under some mild conditions,where N denotes the number of iterations.Finally,numerical experiments on solving the l1-regularized analysis sparse recovery and the elastic net regularization regression problems illustrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method. 展开更多

We propose a combined shape and topology optimization approach in this research for 3D acoustics by using the isogeometric boundary element method with subdivision surfaces.The existing structural optimization methods mainly contain shape and topology schemes,with the former changing the surface geometric profile of the structure and the latter changing thematerial distribution topology or hole topology of the structure.In the present acoustic performance optimization,the coordinates of the control points in the subdivision surfaces fine mesh are selected as the shape design parameters of the structure,the artificial density of the sound absorbing material covered on the structure surface is set as the topology design parameter,and the combined topology and shape optimization approach is established through the sound field analysis of the subdivision surfaces boundary element method as a bridge.The topology and shape sensitivities of the approach are calculated using the adjoint variable method,which ensures the efficiency of the optimization.The geometric jaggedness and material distribution discontinuities that appear in the optimization process are overcome to a certain degree by the multiresolution method and solid isotropic material with penalization.Numerical examples are given to validate the effectiveness of the presented optimization approach. 展开更多
