Hydrogen dissolved from the moisture or the wire filler is formed on the surface of welded joint due to the driving of high-energy heat source.The diffused hydrogen in the welded joint could cause hydrogen embrittleme...Hydrogen dissolved from the moisture or the wire filler is formed on the surface of welded joint due to the driving of high-energy heat source.The diffused hydrogen in the welded joint could cause hydrogen embrittlement(HE).The important factors determining the HE resistance of welded joints are microstructure style,dislocation distribution,grains characteristics,precipitate particle,and residual stress.Different welding technologies show various heat sources and heat cycles,which result in different characteristics of fusion zone and heat-affected zone.Thus,the HE fracture behavior of welded joint produced by different welded technologies differs greatly.The current stage of HE behavior of welded joint was reviewed to provide fundamental reference for the scientists and engineers engaging in welding.The appearance of hydrogen atoms in the surface or interior of welded joint could weaken the bonding strength and change the fracture mode from ductile to sudden brittle fracture.Generally,the controlling of filler wire and heat input is a practical route to obtain the excellent welded joint with high HE resistance.The inhibition of hydrogen diffusion via the formation of fine coating and the aggregation of hydrogen atoms via the control of microstructure and precipitates are the effective routes to improve HE resistance.展开更多

The effect of Fe_2O_3 on welding technology and mechanicalproperties of weld metals deposited by these wires are studied. The results show that with theincrease of Fe_2O_3 in the mix, the melting point of the pretreated mix is increased. LiBaF_3 andBaFe_(12)O_(19), which are very low in inherent moisture, are formed after the pretreatment. Themechanical properties are evaluated to the weld metals. The low temperature notch toughness of theweld metals is increased linearly with the Fe_2O_3 content in the flux due to the balance betweenFe_2O_3 and residual Al in the weld metal. For the foregoing reasons,the 80 ℃ temperature field distribution of thick plate multi-pass welding was analyzed with SYSWELD.The influence of welding groove form and time interval on welding temperature field was also analyzed. Results showed that the range of 80 ℃ welding temperature field increased with the increasing of weld layers at first and then it inclined to stable value. Interpass time setting was crucial to control the range of 80 ℃ welding temperature field. It was also found that double V groove had better thermal diffusivity than double-bevel groove.And double-bevel groove was better than single V groove.展开更多

Multi-pass tandem gas metal arc welding(TGMAW) for Al 5083 alloy plates with 30 mm thickness is carried out to study its high efficiency and high quality. The welding process is evaluated by high-speed photographs and...Multi-pass tandem gas metal arc welding(TGMAW) for Al 5083 alloy plates with 30 mm thickness is carried out to study its high efficiency and high quality. The welding process is evaluated by high-speed photographs and electrical signals. The deposition rate and welding time are calculated to characterize the welding efficiency. The bead formation, porosity, microstructure and mechanical properties are tested and analyzed. The results indicate that though arc deflection occurs due to the electromagnetic interference between two arcs during TGMAW process, it does not affect the welding process stability significantly. The deposition rate and welding time of TGMAW process are about 15 g/min larger and about 16.7% less than those of gas metal arc welding(GMAW)process respectively, accompanied by the reduction of heat input. The TGMAW welded joint has less porosity and more refined microstructure to contribute to the improvement of mechanical properties(micro-hardness, tensile strength and ductility). It can be concluded that TGMAW process yields excellent performance of welded joint with improved welding efficiency, which makes it extremely practical during welding of thick plates.展开更多

文摘Multi-pass tandem gas metal arc welding(TGMAW) for Al 5083 alloy plates with 30 mm thickness is carried out to study its high efficiency and high quality. The welding process is evaluated by high-speed photographs and electrical signals. The deposition rate and welding time are calculated to characterize the welding efficiency. The bead formation, porosity, microstructure and mechanical properties are tested and analyzed. The results indicate that though arc deflection occurs due to the electromagnetic interference between two arcs during TGMAW process, it does not affect the welding process stability significantly. The deposition rate and welding time of TGMAW process are about 15 g/min larger and about 16.7% less than those of gas metal arc welding(GMAW)process respectively, accompanied by the reduction of heat input. The TGMAW welded joint has less porosity and more refined microstructure to contribute to the improvement of mechanical properties(micro-hardness, tensile strength and ductility). It can be concluded that TGMAW process yields excellent performance of welded joint with improved welding efficiency, which makes it extremely practical during welding of thick plates.
