This study focuses on reconstructing the"reader-centered"paradigm in the teaching of high school English literary text reading,supported by Reception Aesthetics as its theoretical foundation.High school Engl...This study focuses on reconstructing the"reader-centered"paradigm in the teaching of high school English literary text reading,supported by Reception Aesthetics as its theoretical foundation.High school English literary text reading plays a significant role in cultivating students'language proficiency,cultural awareness,and aesthetic literacy.However,the current teaching practice in this area remains dominated by the traditional"teacher-centered"approach,which restricts students'active participation and the realization of the pluralistic value of literary texts.By integrating core concepts of Reception Aesthetics-such as"horizon of expectations,""structure of appeal,"and"interpretive community"-this research addresses the gap in existing studies,which have largely focused on the application of Reception Aesthetics in Chinese language teaching or college English instruction.Using literature research and classroom practice analysis,the study reconstructs the"reader-centered"paradigm across three dimensions:teaching objectives,teaching process,and evaluation methods.It also identifies practical challenges,including uneven student participation,time constraints,and difficulties in the teacher's role adaptation,and proposes corresponding optimization strategies.Practical results demonstrate that this paradigm effectively enhances students'reading engagement,text interpretation skills,and critical thinking.Future research may further expand text types and integrate information technology to continuously improve teaching effectiveness.展开更多
Based on BERTopic Model,the paper combines qualitative and quantitative methods to explore the reception of Can Xue’s translated works by analyzing readers’book reviews posted on Goodreads and Lovereading.We first c...Based on BERTopic Model,the paper combines qualitative and quantitative methods to explore the reception of Can Xue’s translated works by analyzing readers’book reviews posted on Goodreads and Lovereading.We first collected book reviews from these two well-known websites by Python.Through topic analysis of these reviews,we identified recurring topics,including details of her translated works and appreciation of their translation quality.Then,employing sentiment and content analysis methods,the paper explored the emotional attitudes and the specific thoughts of readers toward Can Xue and her translated works.The fingdings revealed that,among the 408 reviews,though the reception of Can Xue’s translated works was relatively positive,the current level of attention and recognition remains insufficient.However,based on the research results,the paper can derive valuable insights into the translation and dissemination processes such as adjusting translation and dissemination strategies,so that the global reach of Chinese literature and culture can be better facilitated.展开更多
Background Endometrial receptivity(ERE)is a transient uterine state that determines the success of blastocyst implantation;however,the epigenomic regulation underlying ERE establishment in goats remains unclear.Here,w...Background Endometrial receptivity(ERE)is a transient uterine state that determines the success of blastocyst implantation;however,the epigenomic regulation underlying ERE establishment in goats remains unclear.Here,we profiled transcriptional and epigenomic features of endometrial tissues from pregnant goats during the peri-implantation window and nonpregnant control goats in the regressed luteal phase to uncover the transcriptional regulatory networks responsible for ERE establishment in goats,utilizing RNA-seq,ATAC-seq,and H3 K27 ac CUT&Tag.Results A total of 3,143 differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were identified,accompanied by significant alterations in chromatin accessibility and H3 K27 ac modifications between receptive and non-receptive endometria.The targeted genes associated with these epigenetic changes were significantly enriched in pathways related to cell adhesion,immune tolerance,and embryo attachment.Motif enrichment and transcription factor(TF)footprinting analyses identified members of the FOS/JUN,SOX,HNF1,CEBP,and BATF families as candidate regulators,implicating downstream genes involved in ERE establishment,including SPP1,FOXO1,KLF4/6,STAT1,IFI6,ITGB8,PLAC8,DUSP4,NR1D1,ISG15,RUFY4,and PIK3R3.In addition,numerous super-enhancers were identified,indicating regions of high regulatory activity and potential long-range gene-enhancers interactions in the endometrium.Integration of multi-omics datasets revealed a strong correlation(r>0.7)among chromatin accessibility,H3 K27 ac activation,and the expression of 172 DEGs.Furthermore,a set of hub genes(KLF6,IFI6,MCL1,SDC4,SUSD6,MAFF,and IL6R)that appear to coordinate TF binding and distal super-enhancers activity associated with ERE establishment.Conclusions Our data provided an integrated epigenomic atlas of endometrial receptivity establishment in goats and identify candidate regulatory elements and transcription factors that may orchestrate uterine preparation for implantation.These findings offer valuable insights and testable targets for improving fertility in ruminant livestock.展开更多
The Transformer has achieved great success in the field of medical image segmentation,but its quadratic computational complexity limits its application in dense medical image prediction.Recently,the receptance weighte...The Transformer has achieved great success in the field of medical image segmentation,but its quadratic computational complexity limits its application in dense medical image prediction.Recently,the receptance weighted key value(RWKV)architecture has garnered widespread attention due to its linear computational complexity and its capability of parallel computation during training.Despite the RWKV model's proficiency in addressing long-range modeling tasks with linear computational complexity,most current RWKV-based approaches employ static scanning patterns.These patterns may inadvertently incorporate biased prior knowledge into the model's predictions.To address this challenge,we propose a multi-head scan strategy combined with padding methods to effectively simulate spatial continuity in 2D images.Within the Feature Aggregation Attention(FAA)module,asymmetric convolutions are designed to aggregate 1D sequence features along a single dimension,thereby expanding effective receptive fields while preserving structural sparsity.Additionally,panoramic token shift(P-Shift)effectively models local dependency relationships by moving tokens from a wide receptive field.Extensive experiments conducted on the ISIC17/18 and ACDC datasets demonstrate that our method exhibits superior performance in dense medical image prediction tasks.展开更多

Beginning with preliminary background information, e.g. the source book and writer, the translator further introduces theories andprevious related research, including Christian work. There are two representatives of reception theory; the translator stresses Jauss' per-spective of reception aesthetics, detailing his two key notions: the reader's decisive role and horizon of expectation. These notions shiftthe focus from the writer and text to the reader, which is a proven method to make the translation more acceptable to readers. Based onthe translation brief, target readers are Christians. During the translation process, the translator keeps key notions of reception aestheticstop-of-mind and strives to produce a version suitable for Christian readers. Some strategies, e.g. domestication and footnoting, are em-ployed to discuss the translation of biblical terms, Christian expressions, verses or stories from the Bible, metaphors and cultural items.In addition to these strategies, all translation is in accordance with CUV when encountering Bible-related text, due to CUV's authorityamong all versions of the Bible. Numerical studies are conducted to simulate acoustic pressures, waveforms, and reconstructed images with unidirectional, omnidirectional, and strong directional transducers.With the analyses of equivalent and projection sources, the influences of the model dimension and the layer effect are qualitatively analyzed to evaluate the performance of MAT-MI. Three-dimensional simulation studies show that the strong directional transducer with a large radius can reduce the influences of equivalent sources, projection sources, and the layer effect effectively, resulting in enhanced pressure and improved image contrast, which is beneficial for boundary pressure extraction in conductivity reconstruction. The reconstructed conductivity contrast images present the conductivity boundaries as stripes with different contrasts and polarities, representing the values and directions of the conductivity changes of the scanned layer. The favorable results provide solid evidence for transducer selection and suggest potential practical applications of MAT-MI in biomedical imaging.展开更多

Targeting at missionaries, James adopted the 19 century old English and strived for faithfulness. Lau's translation work is of high academic value and receives good comments popularly in western sinology circle, being considered as the exemplary work for translating Chinese classics into English. Zhao et al. translated Mencius for modern readers, who might have acquired more knowledge of China and want to learn something about Mencius. To provide a unified anatysis frame- work, the length of cooperative transmission epoch is fixed to the detected collision order. The mathematical analysis of potential throughput （PTP） and potential packet loss rate （PPLR） are given under a pessimistic assumption and an optimistic assumption. According to the analysis of PTP and PPLR, threshold selection is done to optimize system performances, e.g. the optimal threshold should guarantee PTP to be maximum or guarantee PPLR to be minimum. In simulations, the thresholds are selected according to PTP under the pessimistic assumption. Simulation results show that the proposed cooperative MPR scheme can achieve higher throughput than NDMA and slotted ALOHA schemes.展开更多

However,due to the cultural differences in Chinese and English culture,the problem of movie title translation is obvious which needs to be paid attention to the translation and people working in movie industry.Traditional translation theory puts more emphasis on the important and authoritative status of original text and author. But this notion cannot satisfy the needs of movie title translation to the largest extent. Movie is not only a cultural and linguistic product,it also is a special commercial product. The ultimate objective of movie is to allure the audience into the cinema to watch and appreciate it in addition to provide the cultural information. Reception aesthetics,as a theory of literary criticism,gives priority to readers' role in literary understanding and interpretation. According to reception aesthetics,the horizon of expectation should be taken into consideration when the translation work begins to be done. Horizon of expectation is composed of the readers' or audiences' previous cultural norms,assumptions,and criteria in the source language and culture at a given time. Movie title,as a special text,is also understood and influenced by the audience's horizon of expectation. Chinese audience,before they decide to watch a movie,are naturally harbor their horizon of expectation about the movie. They will form their judgment and assumptions about the genre,plot,story,background about the movie from the movie title. These kind of horizon of expectation will consequently influence their ultimate decision to watch the movie or not. Hence,in doing the movie title translation,the translator is supposed to keep the audience's horizon of expectation in mind and try his utmost to achieve the fusion of expectation. In this way,the comparatively satisfactory version is likely to come into being and finally will live up to the audience's expectations. As a result,from the perspective of reception aesthetics,the author proposes three feasible translation methods of movie title: literal translation,free translation and adaptation.展开更多

文摘Drawing upon the theory of reception aesthetics, this dissertation aims to discuss the translator's translation of You Can YouWill. Beginning with preliminary background information, e.g. the source book and writer, the translator further introduces theories andprevious related research, including Christian work. There are two representatives of reception theory; the translator stresses Jauss' per-spective of reception aesthetics, detailing his two key notions: the reader's decisive role and horizon of expectation. These notions shiftthe focus from the writer and text to the reader, which is a proven method to make the translation more acceptable to readers. Based onthe translation brief, target readers are Christians. During the translation process, the translator keeps key notions of reception aestheticstop-of-mind and strives to produce a version suitable for Christian readers. Some strategies, e.g. domestication and footnoting, are em-ployed to discuss the translation of biblical terms, Christian expressions, verses or stories from the Bible, metaphors and cultural items.In addition to these strategies, all translation is in accordance with CUV when encountering Bible-related text, due to CUV's authorityamong all versions of the Bible. Lastly, the translator provides conclusive remarks based on analysis as well as suggestions for further re-search. Limitations of this study are also mentioned.

文摘Reception theory stresses reader's activeness.Translation of Chinese Menu in English Version reveals the universal principles of transnational strategies and methods of menu translation.Through analysis of Chinese Menu in English Version,the article studies its text and examines the linking mechanism between reception theory and menu translation.A comparative conclusion shows that in menu translation attention is paid to the accuracy of the target text by translators,who are simultaneously aware of the paradox between expectation and acceptance of individual readers.

文摘According to aesthetics of reception, the reception of literature can be divided into two patterns, that is, vertical reception and horizontal reception. The former means determining the original text＇s meaning from the perspective of historical development. Readers in different history periods have different explanations and conclusions of certain writer or original text because of their different social and cultural backgrounds. The author of this thesis combines the viewpoint and the translation of famous book, holding that famous book has special aesthetical value and its explanation shouldn＇t be limited by certain translated version. Retranslation can keep and enrich the aesthetical value of the famous book and should be encouraged.

文摘Based on the acoustic radiation theory of a dipole source, the influence of the transducer reception pattern is studied for magnetoacoustic tomography with magnetic induction（MAT-MI）. Numerical studies are conducted to simulate acoustic pressures, waveforms, and reconstructed images with unidirectional, omnidirectional, and strong directional transducers.With the analyses of equivalent and projection sources, the influences of the model dimension and the layer effect are qualitatively analyzed to evaluate the performance of MAT-MI. Three-dimensional simulation studies show that the strong directional transducer with a large radius can reduce the influences of equivalent sources, projection sources, and the layer effect effectively, resulting in enhanced pressure and improved image contrast, which is beneficial for boundary pressure extraction in conductivity reconstruction. The reconstructed conductivity contrast images present the conductivity boundaries as stripes with different contrasts and polarities, representing the values and directions of the conductivity changes of the scanned layer. The favorable results provide solid evidence for transducer selection and suggest potential practical applications of MAT-MI in biomedical imaging.
文摘With the guidance of reception theory, based on the corpus of James Legge, the LCC and D. C. Lau's versions of Mencius, a comparative study will be conducted on the key philosophical term: Ren. After comparison, reasons for the differences will be stated. Targeting at missionaries, James adopted the 19 century old English and strived for faithfulness. Lau's translation work is of high academic value and receives good comments popularly in western sinology circle, being considered as the exemplary work for translating Chinese classics into English. Zhao et al. translated Mencius for modern readers, who might have acquired more knowledge of China and want to learn something about Mencius. Quantitative analysis shows that Ren appears 157 times in Mencius, and"benevolent/benevolence"gains a dominant position in these three versions.

文摘To accurately assess the performance of cooperative multiple packet reception （MPR） based on network-assisted diversity multiple access （NDMA）, non-ideal collision detection is introduced in ALLIANCES （ALLow improved access in the network via cooperation and energy savings）. To provide a unified anatysis frame- work, the length of cooperative transmission epoch is fixed to the detected collision order. The mathematical analysis of potential throughput （PTP） and potential packet loss rate （PPLR） are given under a pessimistic assumption and an optimistic assumption. According to the analysis of PTP and PPLR, threshold selection is done to optimize system performances, e.g. the optimal threshold should guarantee PTP to be maximum or guarantee PPLR to be minimum. In simulations, the thresholds are selected according to PTP under the pessimistic assumption. Simulation results show that the proposed cooperative MPR scheme can achieve higher throughput than NDMA and slotted ALOHA schemes.

文摘A new method called joint Matched Filter (MF) combining and turbo equalization is proposed for wireless communications over Inter-Symbol Interference (ISI) channels with diversity reception. This method takes diversity combining and equalization as integrity and need just one turbo equalizer for all diversity branches. Computer simulations prove that our method can take advantage of turbo equalization and diversity reception to combat fading of wireless channels.
文摘The Three-Body Problem, written by Liu Cixin, won the 2015 Hugo Award for Best Novel, with over 200,000 copies in English already sold. This gure is hundreds of times the average sales volume of Chinese novels in the USA. Through qualitative and quantitative analyses of overseas readers' comments on The Three-Body Problem posted on the online platforms of Goodreads and Amazon, this paper concludes that the novel's success overseas lies in its catering to the concerns of overseas readers. The ThreeBody Problem is popular among overseas readership thanks to its re ection on the ultimate existence of mankind, science ction vision & imagination, literary familiarity & identi cation, ideological di erence-triggered cultural curiosity, and a good translation. This paper attempts to interpret Liu Cixin's work on the map of world literature from the perspective of overseas readers' preferences to provide references for contemporary Chinese science ction creation and overseas reception.

文摘Chinese classical poetry has long been known for its unique artistic conception of mixture of sentiments andscenery, the conception beyond image and the refinement out of rhyme. From the perspective of receptionaesthetics theory, this paper analyzes translation strategies of the classical poetry, probes into the problems thatretaining “indeterminacy” and satisfying the readers “horizon of expectations” when translate Chinese classicalpoetry. It is necessary to keep enough aesthetic space, and to give full play to the translator’s aesthetic creativitywhen translate Chinese classical poetry, so as to reproduce the artistic conception of Chinese classical poetry.
文摘Movie is a popular art which occupies an important position in people's leisure time. Movie title,as the most direct and accessible tool for audience to know about the movie,is very significant to attract audience into the cinema. Therefore,the translation of movie title cannot be ignored. However,due to the cultural differences in Chinese and English culture,the problem of movie title translation is obvious which needs to be paid attention to the translation and people working in movie industry.Traditional translation theory puts more emphasis on the important and authoritative status of original text and author. But this notion cannot satisfy the needs of movie title translation to the largest extent. Movie is not only a cultural and linguistic product,it also is a special commercial product. The ultimate objective of movie is to allure the audience into the cinema to watch and appreciate it in addition to provide the cultural information. Reception aesthetics,as a theory of literary criticism,gives priority to readers' role in literary understanding and interpretation. According to reception aesthetics,the horizon of expectation should be taken into consideration when the translation work begins to be done. Horizon of expectation is composed of the readers' or audiences' previous cultural norms,assumptions,and criteria in the source language and culture at a given time. Movie title,as a special text,is also understood and influenced by the audience's horizon of expectation. Chinese audience,before they decide to watch a movie,are naturally harbor their horizon of expectation about the movie. They will form their judgment and assumptions about the genre,plot,story,background about the movie from the movie title. These kind of horizon of expectation will consequently influence their ultimate decision to watch the movie or not. Hence,in doing the movie title translation,the translator is supposed to keep the audience's horizon of expectation in mind and try his utmost to achieve the fusion of expectation. In this way,the comparatively satisfactory version is likely to come into being and finally will live up to the audience's expectations. As a result,from the perspective of reception aesthetics,the author proposes three feasible translation methods of movie title: literal translation,free translation and adaptation.
