Integrating multiple medical imaging techniques,including Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI),Computed Tomography,Positron Emission Tomography(PET),and ultrasound,provides a comprehensive view of the patient health status...Integrating multiple medical imaging techniques,including Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI),Computed Tomography,Positron Emission Tomography(PET),and ultrasound,provides a comprehensive view of the patient health status.Each of these methods contributes unique diagnostic insights,enhancing the overall assessment of patient condition.Nevertheless,the amalgamation of data from multiple modalities presents difficulties due to disparities in resolution,data collection methods,and noise levels.While traditional models like Convolutional Neural Networks(CNNs)excel in single-modality tasks,they struggle to handle multi-modal complexities,lacking the capacity to model global relationships.This research presents a novel approach for examining multi-modal medical imagery using a transformer-based system.The framework employs self-attention and cross-attention mechanisms to synchronize and integrate features across various modalities.Additionally,it shows resilience to variations in noise and image quality,making it adaptable for real-time clinical use.To address the computational hurdles linked to transformer models,particularly in real-time clinical applications in resource-constrained environments,several optimization techniques have been integrated to boost scalability and efficiency.Initially,a streamlined transformer architecture was adopted to minimize the computational load while maintaining model effectiveness.Methods such as model pruning,quantization,and knowledge distillation have been applied to reduce the parameter count and enhance the inference speed.Furthermore,efficient attention mechanisms such as linear or sparse attention were employed to alleviate the substantial memory and processing requirements of traditional self-attention operations.For further deployment optimization,researchers have implemented hardware-aware acceleration strategies,including the use of TensorRT and ONNX-based model compression,to ensure efficient execution on edge devices.These optimizations allow the approach to function effectively in real-time clinical settings,ensuring viability even in environments with limited resources.Future research directions include integrating non-imaging data to facilitate personalized treatment and enhancing computational efficiency for implementation in resource-limited environments.This study highlights the transformative potential of transformer models in multi-modal medical imaging,offering improvements in diagnostic accuracy and patient care outcomes.展开更多

The rising of aging and the declining of birth rates have forced the public to focus on the youth’s view on marriage.Based on critical discourse analysis and combined with Fairclough’s three-dimensional discourse an...The rising of aging and the declining of birth rates have forced the public to focus on the youth’s view on marriage.Based on critical discourse analysis and combined with Fairclough’s three-dimensional discourse analysis model,this paper builds a“Chinese media News Report Corpus on the topic of‘marriage’”whose news are collected from China Daily.It is found that the discourses are neutral and objective with regard to the advantages and disadvantages of marriage,but in general,it is still a traditional view of marriage that is inevitable and closely related to fertility.Although this is controlled by the policies and the social reasons including declining fertility rate,it deviates from the current view of the youth towards marriage,resulting in many serious consequences such as young people’s rejection.In addition,this research found that male and female have great differences in their views on marriage,and men’s resistance to marriage is far greater than that of women,which is departure from the public’s cognition.The reasons behind this need to be explored in order to solve the marriage and love problems of young people in today’s era and realize the healthy development of young marriage.展开更多

With the increasing importance of multimodal data in emotional expression on social media,mainstream methods for sentiment analysis have shifted from unimodal to multimodal approaches.However,the challenges of extract...With the increasing importance of multimodal data in emotional expression on social media,mainstream methods for sentiment analysis have shifted from unimodal to multimodal approaches.However,the challenges of extracting high-quality emotional features and achieving effective interaction between different modalities remain two major obstacles in multimodal sentiment analysis.To address these challenges,this paper proposes a Text-Gated Interaction Network with Inter-Sample Commonality Perception(TGICP).Specifically,we utilize a Inter-sample Commonality Perception(ICP)module to extract common features from similar samples within the same modality,and use these common features to enhance the original features of each modality,thereby obtaining a richer and more complete multimodal sentiment representation.Subsequently,in the cross-modal interaction stage,we design a Text-Gated Interaction(TGI)module,which is text-driven.By calculating the mutual information difference between the text modality and nonverbal modalities,the TGI module dynamically adjusts the influence of emotional information from the text modality on nonverbal modalities.This helps to reduce modality information asymmetry while enabling full cross-modal interaction.Experimental results show that the proposed model achieves outstanding performance on both the CMU-MOSI and CMU-MOSEI baseline multimodal sentiment analysis datasets,validating its effectiveness in emotion recognition tasks.展开更多
BACKGROUND Depression is a widespread psychological disorder that has substantial effects on public health and society.Conventional therapies include medication and psycho-therapy,recent investigations have highlighte...BACKGROUND Depression is a widespread psychological disorder that has substantial effects on public health and society.Conventional therapies include medication and psycho-therapy,recent investigations have highlighted the possible advantages of multi-modal treatments,such as physical therapy,for improving depression.AIM To perform a meta-analysis of how multimodal physical therapy can help treat depression.METHODS We searched for collection of articles that satisfied the inclusion and exclusion criteria,encompassing randomized controlled research-related sources.We incorporated these studies into the meta-analysis using terms such as“findings”,“intervention”,and“population attributes”.We used statistical examination to measure the total impact magnitude and evaluate study variability.RESULTS The encouraging aspect is that multi-modal physical therapy is being considered for its effectiveness in treating symptoms related to depression.Sensitivity analysis was conducted to identify key factors and determine their impact on quality.CONCLUSION Regarding treatment for depression,this meta-analysis extends the increasing number of studies demonstrating the effectiveness of multimodal physical therapy.展开更多
Discourse markers(DMs)in many languages have been investigated from various theoretical perspectives and within diverse methodological paradigms for decades.Studies within the field of DMs are accelerating rapidly;how...Discourse markers(DMs)in many languages have been investigated from various theoretical perspectives and within diverse methodological paradigms for decades.Studies within the field of DMs are accelerating rapidly;however,few state-of-the-art reviews have been conducted to systematically inform scholars of the current landscape of DM research.This investigation conducted a comprehensive review of 2,183 studies from 2009 to 2022,leveraging CiteSpace for bibliometric analysis.The study aims to illuminate emerging trends and focal areas within DM research and lay the groundwork for further interdisciplinary exploration and collaboration in this area.The analysis reveals a growing interest in DM studies,identifies leading contributors,including countries,universities,and scholars,highlights the most cited journals and references shaping the field,and delineates prevalent research themes and topics,as well as methodological approaches employed.These findings indicate that DM research has evolved from a linguistic inquiry into an interdisciplinary domain employing varied methodologies such as qualitative and/or quantitative,experimental,and synchronic and/or diachronic.This study can provide important implications for future research in terms of the pragmatic turn,interdisciplinary nature,expansion of data from English to various other languages,and diversified methodologies.展开更多

文摘Given the diversity of geographical and cultural backgrounds,it is difficult to find precise counterparts of many food-related vocabularies in the unique dietary culture of the Hexi Corridor in the target language,making it challenging to fully convey the essence of its local dietary culture in translation.To achieve the purpose of translation,the theory of multimodal discourse analysis provides an ideal translation approach through the language mode,image mode,sound mode,and the synergistic effect of multimodalities,which can accurately address the deficiencies in the translation of dietary culture.Through this research,it is not only possible to highlight the unique charm of the dietary culture of the Hexi Corridor but also to build a bridge for its international dissemination,promoting cross-border cultural exchanges and mutual understanding.

文摘This study employs Norman Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis(CDA)three-dimensional model,using the Republic of Kazakhstan as a case study,to delve into the discourse construction of China’s Belt and Road Initiative(BRI)in Central Asian countries.Through detailed analysis of policy documents,media reports,and public discussions in Central Asian countries,this paper reveals how the BRI constructs specific social practices,discourse events,and textual meanings within these nations.The findings indicate that through this global development strategy,China has not only strengthened its economic ties with Central Asian countries but has also exerted profound influences on political,cultural,and social levels.

文摘With the increasing importance of multimodal data in emotional expression on social media,mainstream methods for sentiment analysis have shifted from unimodal to multimodal approaches.However,the challenges of extracting high-quality emotional features and achieving effective interaction between different modalities remain two major obstacles in multimodal sentiment analysis.To address these challenges,this paper proposes a Text-Gated Interaction Network with Inter-Sample Commonality Perception(TGICP).Specifically,we utilize a Inter-sample Commonality Perception(ICP)module to extract common features from similar samples within the same modality,and use these common features to enhance the original features of each modality,thereby obtaining a richer and more complete multimodal sentiment representation.Subsequently,in the cross-modal interaction stage,we design a Text-Gated Interaction(TGI)module,which is text-driven.By calculating the mutual information difference between the text modality and nonverbal modalities,the TGI module dynamically adjusts the influence of emotional information from the text modality on nonverbal modalities.This helps to reduce modality information asymmetry while enabling full cross-modal interaction.Experimental results show that the proposed model achieves outstanding performance on both the CMU-MOSI and CMU-MOSEI baseline multimodal sentiment analysis datasets,validating its effectiveness in emotion recognition tasks.

文摘BACKGROUND Depression is a widespread psychological disorder that has substantial effects on public health and society.Conventional therapies include medication and psycho-therapy,recent investigations have highlighted the possible advantages of multi-modal treatments,such as physical therapy,for improving depression.AIM To perform a meta-analysis of how multimodal physical therapy can help treat depression.METHODS We searched for collection of articles that satisfied the inclusion and exclusion criteria,encompassing randomized controlled research-related sources.We incorporated these studies into the meta-analysis using terms such as“findings”,“intervention”,and“population attributes”.We used statistical examination to measure the total impact magnitude and evaluate study variability.RESULTS The encouraging aspect is that multi-modal physical therapy is being considered for its effectiveness in treating symptoms related to depression.Sensitivity analysis was conducted to identify key factors and determine their impact on quality.CONCLUSION Regarding treatment for depression,this meta-analysis extends the increasing number of studies demonstrating the effectiveness of multimodal physical therapy.
文摘Discourse markers(DMs)in many languages have been investigated from various theoretical perspectives and within diverse methodological paradigms for decades.Studies within the field of DMs are accelerating rapidly;however,few state-of-the-art reviews have been conducted to systematically inform scholars of the current landscape of DM research.This investigation conducted a comprehensive review of 2,183 studies from 2009 to 2022,leveraging CiteSpace for bibliometric analysis.The study aims to illuminate emerging trends and focal areas within DM research and lay the groundwork for further interdisciplinary exploration and collaboration in this area.The analysis reveals a growing interest in DM studies,identifies leading contributors,including countries,universities,and scholars,highlights the most cited journals and references shaping the field,and delineates prevalent research themes and topics,as well as methodological approaches employed.These findings indicate that DM research has evolved from a linguistic inquiry into an interdisciplinary domain employing varied methodologies such as qualitative and/or quantitative,experimental,and synchronic and/or diachronic.This study can provide important implications for future research in terms of the pragmatic turn,interdisciplinary nature,expansion of data from English to various other languages,and diversified methodologies.
