A monthly Multi Objective Genetic Algorithm Fuzzy Optimization (MOGAFU-OPT) model for the present study is developed in ‘C’ Language. The GA parameters i.e. population size, number of generations, crossover probability, and mutation probability are decided based on optimized val-ues of fitness function. The GA operators adopted are stochastic remainder selection, one point crossover and binary mutation. Initially the model is run for maximization of irrigation releases. Then the model is run for maximization of hydropower production. These objectives are fuzzified by assuming a linear membership function. These fuzzified objectives are simultaneously maximized by defining level of satisfaction (?) and then maximizing it. This approach is applied to a multireservoir system in Godavari river sub basin in Ma-harashtra State, India. Problem is formulated with 4 reservoirs and a barrage. The optimal operation policy for maximization of irrigation releases, maximization of hydropower production and maximization of level of satisfaction is presented for existing demand in command area. This optimal operation policy so deter-mined is compared with the actual average operation policy for Jayakwadi Stage-I reservoir.展开更多

In addition, there are many other organisms and species present in river waters that also require water for their survival. Due to the lack of awareness many times the minimum required quantity and quality of water for river ecosystem is not made available at downstream of storage reservoirs. So, a sustainable approach is required in reservoir operations to maintain the river ecosystem with environmental flow while meeting the other demands. In particular, this problem becomes more difficult when several objectives with preemptive priorities are expected for different purposes. In this paper, a fuzzy satisfactory goal programming method is proposed to solve the multi-objective reentry trajectory optimization problem. Firstly, direct collocation approach is used to discretize the reentry trajectory optimal-control problem with nonlinear constraints into nonlinear multiobjective programming problem with preemptive priorities, where attack angles and bank angles at nodes and collocation nodes are selected as control variables. Secondly, the preemptive priorities are transformed into the relaxed order of satisfactory degrees according to the principle that the objective with higher priority has higher satisfactory degree. Then the fuzzy satisfactory goal programming model is proposed. The balance between optimization and priorities is realized by regulating parameter λ, such that the satisfactory reentry trajectory can be acquired. The simulation demonstrates that the proposed method is effective for the multi-objective reentry trajectory optimization of hypersonic vehicles.展开更多

The model includes two stages, preliminary selection stage and optimal selection stage. The membership function is used to select MRs from cloud resource pool(CRP) in the first stage, and then the candidate resource pool is built. In the optimal selection stage, a multi-objective optimization algorithm, particle swarm optimization(PSO) based on the method of relative entropy of fuzzy sets(REFS_PSO), is used to select optimal MRs from the candidate resource pool, and an optimal manufacturing resource supply chain is obtained at last. To verify the performance of REFS_PSO, NSGA-Ⅱ and PSO based on random weighting(RW_PSO) are selected as the comparison algorithms. They all are used to select optimal MRs at the second stage. The experimental results show solution obtained by REFS_PSO is the best. The model and the method proposed are appropriate for MRA in CM.展开更多

Research has revealed that telecommuting can be effectively done from special places provided for this purpose called telecenters. In telecenter-based telecommuting, trip lengths are shortened due to change in the location of work places. Thus suitable locations of telecenters play an important role in increasing the beneficial impacts of telecommuting in the transportation systems. In this research, a mathematical optimization model for finding optimal location and capacity of telecenters is proposed. This model is a bi-objective linear program, and a Fuzzy Goal Programming method with a preemptive structure is used to solve it. Telecommuting demand is classified into three groups of telecommuters and a priority structure that assigns the higher priority class to the closer telecenters is also incorporated into the model. The proposed model is implemented in a case study of finding optimal location of telecenters for government employees in Tehran (capital of Iran) metropolitan area. The base model is solved and its sensitivity to different parameters has been analyzed based on which, an optimal model is selected. The solution of this model is an optimal pattern for distribution of telecommuting capacities and yields the most system-wide benefits from implementation of telecommuting.展开更多

In this paper, we review popular regularization models such as truncated singular value decomposi- tion regularization, iterative regularization, variational regularizafion. Meanwhile, we also retrospect popular optimiza- tion approaches and regularization parameter choice meth- ods. In fact, the regularization problem is inherently a multi- objective problem. The traditional methods usually combine the fidelity term and the regularization term into a single- objective with regularization parameters, which are difficult to tune. Therefore, we propose a multi-objective framework for ill-posed problems, which can handle complex features of problem such as non-convexity, discontinuity. In this framework, the fidelity term and regularization term are optimized simultaneously to gain more insights into the ill-posed prob- lems. A case study on signal recovery shows the effectiveness of the multi-objective framework for ill-posed problems.展开更多

The feasibility and efficiency of the proposed Pareto front is assessed in comparison with results reported in literature and obtained from other algorithms. Finally, the Java programming with applets is utilized to simulate the stability of the nonlinear system and explain the internetbased control.

文摘The requirement for high-quality seafood is a global challenge in today’s world due to climate change and natural resource limitations.Internet of Things(IoT)based Modern fish farming systems can significantly optimize seafood production by minimizing resource utilization and improving healthy fish production. This objective requires intensive monitoring, prediction, and control by optimizing leading factors that impact fish growth, including temperature, the potential of hydrogen(pH),water level, and feeding rate. This paper proposes the IoT based predictive optimization approach for efficient control and energy utilization in smart fish farming. The proposed fish farm control mechanism has a predictive optimization to deal with water quality control and efficient energy consumption problems.Fish farm indoor and outdoor values are applied to predict the water quality parameters, whereas a novel objective function is proposed to achieve an optimal fish growth environment based on predicted parameters.Fuzzy logic control is utilized to calculate control parameters for IoT actuators based on predictive optimal water quality parameters by minimizing energy consumption. To evaluate the efficiency of the proposed system, the overall approach has been deployed to the fish tank as a case study, and a number of experiments have been carried out.The results show that the predictive optimization module allowed the water quality parameters to be maintained at the optimal level with nearly 30%of energy efficiency at the maximum actuator control rate compared with other control levels.

文摘From the perspective of the geographical distribution, considering production fare, supply chain information and quality rating of the manufacturing resource(MR), a manufacturing resource allocation(MRA) model considering the geographical distribution in cloud manufacturing(CM) environment is built. The model and the method proposed are appropriate for MRA in CM.
文摘Telecommuting is a Transportation Demand Management strategy to partially or completely replace the daily commute with telecommunication technologies. The solution of this model is an optimal pattern for distribution of telecommuting capacities and yields the most system-wide benefits from implementation of telecommuting.
文摘Ill-posed problems are widely existed in signat processing. A case study on signal recovery shows the effectiveness of the multi-objective framework for ill-posed problems.
