A vector control system for electric vehicle (EV) induction motor drive system is designed and developed. Its hardware system based on dual CPU(microcomputer 80C196KC and DSP TMS320F2407) is implemented. The fundamental mathematics equations of induction motor in the general synchronously rotating reference frame ( M T frame) used for vector control are achieved by coordinate transformation. Rotor flux equation and torque equation are deduced. According to these equations, an induction motor mathematical model and rotor flux observer model are built separately. The rotor flux field oriented vector control method is implemented based on these models in system software, some of the simulation results with Matab/Simulink are given. The simulation results show that the vector control system for EV induction motor drive system has better static and dynamic performance, and the rotor flux field oriented vector control method was practically verified. 展开更多

This paper deals with the vector control, including both the direct vector control(DVC) and the indirect vector control(Id VC),of induction motors. It is well known that the estimation of rotor flux plays a fundamental role in the DVC and the estimation of rotor resistance is vital in the slip compensation of the Id VC. In these estimations, the precision is significantly affected by the motor resistances. Therefore, online estimation of motor resistances is indispensable in practice.For a fast estimation of motor resistances, it is necessary to slow down the convergence rate of the current estimate. On the other hand, for a fast estimation of the rotor flux, it is necessary to speed up its convergence rate. It is very difficult to realize such a trade-off in convergence rates in a full order observer.In this paper, we propose to decouple the current observer from the flux observer so as to realize independent convergence rates. Then, the resistance estimation algorithm is applied to both DVC and Id VC. In particular, in the application to Id VC the flux observer needs not be used, which leads to a simpler structure. Meanwhile, independent convergence rates of current observer and flux observer yield an improved performance. A superior performance in the torque and flux responses in both cases is verified by numerous simulations. 展开更多

Based on the three-phase logical no-circumfluence a.c./a.c. cycloconverter, the speeds of two 2500 kW double fed drive motors have been regulated by means of the vector control technology. The maximum operating speed of each motor- generator unit has been raised from 1488 rpm (revolutions per minute) to 1650 rpm and the released energy of each unit during a pulsed discharge can reach 500 MJ. As a result, the toroidal field system has the capacity to provide 2.8 tesla (T) in HL-2A experiments. 展开更多

This technique involves transfo... In the context of induction motor control, there are various control strategies used to separately control torque and flux. One common approach is known as Field-Oriented Control (FOC). This technique involves transforming the three-phase currents and voltages into a rotating reference frame, commonly referred to as the “dq” frame. In this frame, the torque/speed and flux components are decoupled, allowing for independent control, by doing so, the motor’s speed can be regulated accurately and maintain a constant flux which is crucial to ensure optimal motor performance and efficiency. The research focused on studying and simulating a field-oriented control system using fuzzy control techniques for an induction motor. The aim was to address the issue of parameter variations, particularly the change in rotor resistance during motor operation, which causes the control system to deviate from the desired direction. This deviation implies to an increase in the magnetic flux value, specifically the flux component on the q-axis. By employing fuzzy logic techniques to regulate flux vector’s components in the dq frame, this problem was successfully resolved, ensuring that the magnetic flux value remains within the nominal limits. To enhance the control system’s performance, response speed, and efficiency of the motor, sliding mode controllers were implemented to regulate the current in the inner loop. The simulation results demonstrated the proficiency of the proposed methodology. 展开更多

The start-up current control of the high-speed brushless DC(HS-BLDC) motor is a challenging research topic. To effectively control the start-up current of the sensorless HS-BLDC motor, an adaptive control method is proposed based on the adaptive neural network(ANN)inverse system and the two degrees of freedom(2-DOF) internal model controller(IMC). The HS-BLDC motor is identified by the online least squares support vector machine(OLS-SVM) algorithm to regulate the ANN inverse controller parameters in real time. A pseudo linear system is developed by introducing the constructed real-time inverse system into the original HS-BLDC motor system. Based on the characteristics of the pseudo linear system, an extra closed-loop feedback control strategy based on the 2-DOF IMC is proposed to improve the transient response performance and enhance the stability of the control system. The simulation and experimental results show that the proposed control method is effective and perfect start-up current tracking performance is achieved. 展开更多

In this paper, ideal choice of voltage space vectors is accomplished utilizing ANFIS (Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System) with space vector Modulation. SVM-DTC gives consistent switching frequency and the proposed ANFIS controller’s structure manages the torque and stator flux error signals through the fuzzy deduction to get a yield that takes the type of space voltage vector. Developments in the Power Electronic circuitry have revolutionised the induction motor industry leading to the developments in various control strategies and circuits for motor control. Direct Torque Control (DTC) is one of the excellent control strategies preferred by industries for controlling the torque and flux in an induction machine. The main drawback of DTC is the presence of torque ripple which is slightly more than the acceptable limit. There are various parameters that introduce ripples in the electromagnetic torque, one of them being the type of inverter circuit. There are various types of inverter circuits available and the effect of each of them in the production of torque ripple is different. This work is an attempt to identify the influence of various multilevel inverter circuits on the torque ripple level and to propose the best inverter circuit. The influence of multilevel diode clamped inverter and cascaded H bridge inverter circuits on torque ripple minimization, is analysed using simulation studies for identifying the most suitable multilevel inverter circuit which gives minimum torque ripple. The results obtained from the simulation studies are validated by hardware implementation on 0.75 kW induction motor. 展开更多

Designing the parameters for FOPI controller is a challenging task, especially for nonlinear systems like PMSM.All three PI controllers in the conventional vector controlled speed drive are replaced by FOPI controllers. Design of these FOPI controllers is based on the locally linearized model of PMSM around an operating point. This operating point changes with the load torque. The novelty of the work reported here is in use of Non Linear Disturbance Observer(NLDO) to estimate load torque to obtain this new operating point. All three FOPI controllers are then designed adaptively using this new operating point. The scheme is tested on simulation using MATLAB/SIMULINK and results are presented. 展开更多

A novel digital implementation of speed controller for a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) with disturbance rejection using conventional observer combined with Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) is proposed. First, the EKF is constructed to achieve a precise estimation of the speed and current from the noisy measurement. Second, a proportional integral derivative (PID) controller is developed based on Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR) to achieve speed command tracking performance. Then, an observer is designed and its error is utilized to provide load disturbance compensation. The proposed method greatly enhances the PMSM performance by reducing the control signal variation as well as the disturbance. The speed control performance is significantly improved compared to the case when we have an observer acting alone. The simulation results for the speed response and variation of the states when the PMSM is subjected to the load disturbance are presented. 五相感应电机是结构最简单的一种多相感应电机,具有低噪声、低转矩波动和高承载能力的优点,因此适用于高功率和可靠性要求的应用场合。针对速度编码器易受外界干扰的特点,构建一种应用于五相感应电机的模型参考自适应无速度传感器矢量... 五相感应电机是结构最简单的一种多相感应电机,具有低噪声、低转矩波动和高承载能力的优点,因此适用于高功率和可靠性要求的应用场合。针对速度编码器易受外界干扰的特点,构建一种应用于五相感应电机的模型参考自适应无速度传感器矢量控制系统,用以对转速进行辨识,实现五相感应电机的无速度传感器控制。随后,针对传统模型参考自适应系统的磁链电压参考模型易受定子电阻数值影响的问题,进一步构建基于模型参考自适应的双参数辨识系统,用以同时辨识转速与定子电阻,并对各自的自适应律选取进行推导。最后,在Simulink中对双参数辨识系统进行仿真验证。仿真结果表明,该系统在不同转速以及不同负载转矩工况下对转速的辨识性能良好,整体辨识基本无静差,仅有约9.7 r/min的稳态波动;在定子电阻突变时,空载工况下定子电阻的辨识误差能够保持在5%以内,半载工况的误差为8.7%,满载则为13.7%。 展开更多

They are more suitable to be used as electrical dynamometers to provide dynamic load for bench test systems. But, the speed and torque of induction motors are not easy to be controlled accurately. In this work, an electrical dynamometer based on the induction motor is proposed. In order to get better control performance of torque and speed of induction motor, an improved direct torque control method(DTC) is also developed based on the space vector modulation(SVM) technique. The performance of the proposed dynamometer system is validated in the Matlab/Simulink platform. The simulation results show that the new dynamometer has good torque and stator flux response. And the torque and stator current ripples of it are reduced significantly compared with using the conventional DTC method. 展开更多
