HMW-GS are encoded by Glu-1 genes and controlled primarily at transcriptional level, implemented through the interactions between cis-acting elements and trans-acting factors. However, transcriptional mechanism of Glu-1 genes remains elusive. Here we made a comprehensive analysis of cis-regulatory elements within 1-kb upstream of the Glu-1 start codon(-1000 to-1) and identified 30 conserved motifs. Based on motif distribution pattern, three conserved cis-regulatory modules(CCRMs), CCRM1(-300 to-101), CCRM2(-650 to-400), and CCRM3(-950 to-750), were defined, and their functions were characterized in wheat stable transgenic lines transformed with progressive 5′ deletion promoter::GUS fusion constructs. GUS staining, qP CR and enzyme activity assays indicated that CCRM2 and CCRM3 could enhance the expression level of Glu-1, whereas the 300-bp promoter(-300 to-1), spanning CCRM1 and core region(-100 to-1), was enough to ensure accurate Glu-1 initiation at 7 days after flowering(DAF) and shape its spatiotemporal expression pattern during seed development. Further transgenic assays demonstrated that CCRM1-2(-300 to-209) containing Complete HMW Enhancer(-246 to-209) was important for expression level but had no effect on expression specificity in the endosperm. In contrast, CCRM1-1(-208 to-101) was critical for both expression specificity and level of Glu-1. Our findings not only provide new insights to uncover Glu-1 transcription regulatory machinery but also lay foundations for modifying Glu-1 expression.展开更多

A need was hence felt to introduce a new learning resource to supplement traditional teaching-learning methods. Methods: Digital, case based self–study modules were prepared using all open source technology and validated by experts in the specialty. The modules were uploaded on a website specifically created for the purpose. They were pilot tested on twenty consenting third year undergraduate (MBBS) students using a crossover design. Post test comprising of multiple choice questions was administered to the students after a period of two weeks. Feedback was obtained from faculty and students. Results: Test scores were found to be significantly higher amongst students who used the learning modules as a supplement to regular bedside teaching (p < 0.001;Wilcoxon signed rank test). Majority of students agreed that the modules helped them gain confidence during internal assessment examinations and would help revision. Conclusions: Online, case based, self-study modules helped students to perform better when used as a supplement to traditional teaching methods. Students agreed that it enabled easy understanding of subject and helped them gain confidence.展开更多

We also discovered in the meantime that, in our first GB book of 1978, we had already used a new way for studying the compatibility conditions (CC) of an operator that may not be necessarily formally integrable (FI) in order to construct canonical formally exact differential sequences on the jet level. The purpose of this paper is to prove that the combination of these two facts clearly shows the specific importance of the Spencer operator and the Spencer δ-cohomology, totally absent from mathematical physics today. The results obtained are unavoidable because they only depend on elementary combinatorics and diagram chasing. They also provide for the first time the purely intrinsic interpretation of the respective numbers of successive first, second, third and higher order generating CC. However, if they of course agree with the linearized Killing operator over the Minkowski metric, they largely disagree with recent publications on the respective numbers of generating CC for the linearized Killing operator over the Schwarzschild and Kerr metrics. Many similar examples are illustrating these new techniques, providing in particular a few resolutions in which the orders of the successive operators may go “up and down” surprisingly, like in the conformal situation for various dimensions.展开更多

Then the related physical properties, such as structural stability, lattice constants, formation enthalpies, elastic constants and bulk moduli, are obtained by ab initio calculations. Based on the calculated results of formation enthalpies, the ground-state convex hull is derived for the Pt-Zr system. The calculated physical data would provide a basis for further thermodynamic calculations and atomistic simulations. For these Pt-Zr compounds, it is found there are a positive linear correlation between the formation enthalpies and atomic volumes, and a negative linear correlation between the bulk modules and atomic volumes.展开更多

The above mentioned correspondence use a Zuckerman functor that is a factor of the universal functor of derived sheaves of Harish-Chandra to the Langlands geometrical program in mirror symmetry [2, 3]. The obtained development includes complexes of D - modules of infinite dimension, generalizing for this way, the BRST-cohomology in this context. With it, the class of the integrable systems is extended in mathematical physics and the possibility of obtaining a general theory of integral transforms for the space - time (integral operator cohomology [4]), and with it the measurement of many of their observables [5]. Also tends a bridge to complete a classification of the differential operators for the different field equations using on the base of Verma modules that are classification spaces of SO(l, n + 1), where elements of the Lie algebra al(1, n + 1), are differential operators, of the equations in mathematical physics [1]. The cosmological problem that exists is to reduce the number of field equations that are resoluble under the same gauge field (Verma modules) and to extend the gauge solutions to other fields using the topological groups symmetries that define their interactions. This extension can be given by a global Langlands correspondence between the Hecke sheaves category on an adequate moduli stack and the holomorphic L G - bundles category with a special connection (Deligne connection). The corresponding D - modules may be viewed as sheaves of conformal blocks (or co-invariants) (images under a version of the Penrose transform [1, 6]) naturally arising in the framework of conformal field theory.展开更多

However, the carbon metabolism process in leaves can vary across different leaf regions and during the day and night. Hence, we used Weighted Gene Co-expression Network analysis(WGCNA) with the gene expression profiles of carbon metabolism to identify the modules and genes that may associate with particular regions in a leaf and time of day. There were a total of 45 samples of maize leaves that were taken from three different regions of a growing maize leaf at five time points. Robust Multi-array Average analysis was used to pre-process the raw data of GSE85963(accession number), and quality control of data was based on Pearson correlation coefficients. We obtained eight co-expression network modules. The modules with the highest significance of association with LeafRegion and TimePoint were selected. Functional enrichment and gene-gene interaction analyses were conducted to acquire the hub genes and pathways in these significant modules. These results can support the findings of similar studies by providing evidence of potential module genes and enriched pathways associated with leaf development in maize.展开更多

文摘Currently, perovskite solar cells have achieved commendable progresses in power conversion efficiency(PCE)and operational stability. However, some conventional laboratory-scale fabrication methods become challenging when scaling up material syntheses or device production.Particularly, the prolonged high-temperature annealing process for the crystallization of perovskites requires a substantial amount of energy consumption and impact the modules’throughput. Here,we report a modified near-infrared annealing(NIRA)process, which involves the excess PbI_(2)engineered crystallization, efficiently reduces the preparation time for perovskite active layer to within 20 s compared to dozens of min in conventional hot plate annealing(HPA)process. The study showed that the incorporated PbI_(2)promoted the consistent nucleation of the perovskite film, leading to the subsequent rapid and homogeneous crystallization at the NIRA stage. Thus, highly crystalized perovskite film was realized with even better crystallization performance than conventional HPA-based film.Ultimately, efficient perovskite solar modules of 36 and 100 cm^(2)were readily fabricated with the optimal PCEs of 22.03%and 20.18%,respectively.This study demonstrates, for the first time, the successful achievement of homogeneous and high-quality crystallization in large-area perovskite films through rapid NIRA processing. This approach not only significantly reduces energy consumption during production, but also substantially shortens the manufacturing cycle, paving a new path toward the commercial-scale application of perovskite solar modules.
文摘Modules enable students to engage with content at their own pace, fostering autonomy and deeper understanding. The modular approach ensures clarity in presenting objectives, instructions, and concepts, while having illustrations, activities, and assessments could enhance comprehension and retention. This paper was a developmental study on STS module for college students using the ADDIE Model(Analysis,Design,Development,Implementation, and Evaluation).Sampled 673 first-year students from Northwest Samar State University participated in the study, with 299 participating in a test try-out and 374 in the students’performance evaluation.Three expert evaluators with backgrounds in science,English, and psychology, each with over four years of experience, assessed the modules to ensure alignment with the study’s constructivist learning goals and instructional integrity. The findings revealed that both students and experts had rated the instructional module positively, indicating its effectiveness in facilitating learning and completing lessons.Key aspects such as the style of illustrations and written expressions, the usefulness of learning activities, and the guidance provided by illustrations and captions were especially well-received.The module was praised for its clear objectives, understandable instructions, and engaging tasks like trivia and puzzles.Expert evaluations highlighted relevance, simplicity, and balanced emphasis on topics in the module content.Furthermore, students in test group demonstrated significant improvement in performance, with post-test scores notably higher than pre-test scores, confirming the module’s effectiveness in enhancing learning outcomes.Consequently, this paper provides an opportunity to integrate science learning with initiatives aimed at promoting environmental preservation and driving social change.
文摘Background/Need for innovation: Undergraduate students in Otolaryngology are on the lookout for easy modes of learning which can help them understand concepts better as well as score more in examinations. Students agreed that it enabled easy understanding of subject and helped them gain confidence.
文摘In this article, we define almost prime submodules as a new generalization of prime and weakly prime submodules of unitary modules over a commutative ring with identity. We study some basic properties of almost prime submodules and give some characterizations of them, especially for (finitely generated faithful) multiplication modules.
文摘The aim of this paper is to study the conditions by which a P-prime sub-module can be expressed as a finite intersection or union of P-prime submodules. Also corresponding to dimension and rank of modules, some equivalent conditions for a ring to be a Dedekind domain are given.
文摘Our recent arXiv preprints and published papers on the solution of the Riemann-Lanczos and Weyl-Lanczos problems have brought our attention on the importance of revisiting the algebraic structure of the Bianchi identities in Riemannian geometry. Many similar examples are illustrating these new techniques, providing in particular a few resolutions in which the orders of the successive operators may go “up and down” surprisingly, like in the conformal situation for various dimensions.

文摘118 kinds of Pt-Zr phases were established and investigated by considering various structures. For these Pt-Zr compounds, it is found there are a positive linear correlation between the formation enthalpies and atomic volumes, and a negative linear correlation between the bulk modules and atomic volumes.
文摘Spaces of equivalence modulo a relation of congruence are constructed on field solutions to establish a theory of the universe that includes the theory QFT (Quantum Field theory), the SUSY (Super-symmetry theory) and HST (heterotic string theory) using the sheaves correspondence of differential operators of the field equations and sheaves of coherent D - Modules [1]. The corresponding D - modules may be viewed as sheaves of conformal blocks (or co-invariants) (images under a version of the Penrose transform [1, 6]) naturally arising in the framework of conformal field theory.

文摘Maize(Zea mays L.) yield depends not only on the conversion and accumulation of carbohydrates in kernels, but also on the supply of carbohydrates by leaves. These results can support the findings of similar studies by providing evidence of potential module genes and enriched pathways associated with leaf development in maize.
