High Accuracy Simulation of Electro-Thermal Flow for Non-Newtonian Fluids in BioMEMS Applications

In this study,we proposed a numerical technique for solving time-dependent partial differential equations that arise in the electro-osmotic flowofCarreau fluid across a stationary plate based on amodified exponential integrator.The scheme is comprised of two explicit stages.One is the exponential integrator type stage,and the second is the Runge-Kutta type stage.The spatial-dependent terms are discretized using the compact technique.The compact scheme can achieve fourth or sixth-order spatial accuracy,while the proposed scheme attains second-order temporal accuracy.Also,a mathematical model for the electro-osmotic flow of Carreau fluid over the stationary sheet is presented with heat and mass transfer effects.The governing equations are transformed into dimensionless partial differential equations and solved by the proposed scheme.Simulation results reveal that increasing the Helmholtz-Smoluchowski velocityUHS by 400%leads to a 60%-75%rise in peak flowvelocity,while the electro-osmotic parameter me enhances near-wall acceleration.Conversely,velocity decreases significantly with higher Weissenberg numbers,indicating the Carreau fluid’s elastic resistance and increased magnetic field strength due to improved Lorentz forces.Temperature rises with the thermal conductivity parameter 2,while higher reaction ratesγdiminish concentration and local Sherwood number values.The simulation findings show the scheme’s correctness and efficacy in capturing the complicated interactions in non-Newtonian electro-osmotic transport by revealing the notable impact of electrokinetic factors on flowbehaviour.Theproposedmodel is particularly relevant for BiologicalMicro-Electro-Mechanical Systems(BioMEMS)applications,where precise control of electro-thermal transport in non-Newtonian fluids is critical for lab-on-a-chip diagnostics,drug delivery,and micro-scale thermal management. 展开更多

The abuse of antibiotics will cause an increase of drug-resistant strains and environmental pollution,which in turn will affect human health.Therefore,it is important to develop effective detection techniques to determine the level of antibiotics contamination in various fields.Compared with traditional detection methods,electrochemical sensors have received extensive attention due to their advantages such as high sensitivity,low detection limit,and good selectivity.In this mini review,we summarized the latest developments and new trends in electrochemical sensors for antibiotics.Here,modification methods and materials of electrode are discussed.We also pay more attention to the practical applications of antibiotics electrochemical sensors in different fields.In addition,the existing problems and the future challenges ahead have been proposed.We hope that this review can provide new ideas for the development of electrochemical sensors for antibiotics in the future. 展开更多

The main chemical composition and mineral structure of the waste fluorgypsum were analyzed. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and eight-channel micro-calorimeter (TAM Air) were employed to analyze the changes in morphology and study the application performance of the modified fluorgypsum, respectively. Experimental results indicate that the flexural strength and compressive strength of the modified fiuorgypsurn are roughly equal to those of the natural gypsum. The morphology of the crystal of the fiuorgypsum changes from block particle into trimetric short column. The fluorgypsum crystals stagger mutually and improve the strength of the hardened body. The modified fluorgypsum as cement retarder could delay the hydration, reduce the heat of the hydration and make the setting time, volume stability, and the S03 content of the cement meet the national standards. The modified fluorgypsum is a good substitute for the natural gypsum. 展开更多

Graphitic carbon nitride nanosheets(CNNs)become the most promising member in the carbon nitride family benefitted from their two-dimensional structural features.Recently,great endeavors have been made in the synthesis and modification of CNNs to improve their photocatalytic properties,and many exciting progresses have been gained.In order to elucidate the fundamentals of CNNs based catalysts and provide the insights into rational design of photocatalysis system,we describe recent progress made in CNNs preparation strategies and their applications in this review.Firstly,the physicochemical properties of CNNs are briefly introduced.Secondly,the synthesis approaches of CNNs are reviewed,including top-down stripping strategies(thermal,gas,liquid,and composite stripping)and bottom-up precursor molecules design strategies(solvothermal,template,and supramolecular self-assembly method).Subsequently,the modification strategies based on CNNs in recent years are discussed,including crystal structure design,doping,surface functionalization,constructing 2D heterojunction,and anchoring single-atom.Then the multifunctional applications of g-C_(3)N_(4) nanosheet based materials in photocatalysis including H_(2) evolution,O_(2) evolution,overall water splitting,H_(2)O_(2) production,CO_(2) reduction,N_(2) fixation,pollutant removal,organic synthesis,and sensing are highlighted.Finally,the opportunities and challenges for the development of high-performance CNNs photocatalytic systems are also prospected. 展开更多

The modified shear lag model proposed recently was applied to calculate thermal residual stresses and subsequent stress distributions under tensile and compressive loadings. The expressions for the elastic moduli and the yield strengths under tensile and compressive loadings were derived which take account of thermal residual stresses. The asymmetries in the elastic modulus and the yield strength were interpreted using the derived expressions and the obtained results of the stress calculations. Both the production process and the chemical composition of Sx were studied, and the serialization of low carbon ductile iron was also discussed. It was indicated that Sx modifier was sensitive to the carbon equivalent (CE) of molten iron and to some alloying elements too. When the CE of molten iron and the contents of alloying elements were changed, the content of Sx must be revised with the change correspondingly. Low carbon ductile iron can be stably changed into the one that non-carbon acicular ferrite and retained austenite (about 25%-28%) by quasi-casting bainitic process of using Sx-2 modifier treated Si-Mn-Cr-Cu-alloyed low carbon molten iron. The austenitic low carbon as-cast ductile iron could be obtained by the Ni-Si-Cr 35 5 2 percent alloys molten iron with less than 2% carbon treated by type Sx-3 modifier. The high-toughness ferritic low carbon as-cast ductile iron which contained more than 85 % ferrite in matrix could be got after the molten iron treated by type Sx-4 modifier, and it’s elongation was more than 10 %. 展开更多

Polyurethane modified organic silicone was successfully prepared from hydroxyl-terminated polyether modified silicone,toluene-2,4-diisocyanate( TDI), and NaHSO3. The chemical structure of the polyurethane modified organic silicone was characterized by FT-IR and1H-NMR. The polymer film on the cotton surface was investigated by scanning electron microscopy( SEM) and the results showed that a thin polymer film was successfully formed. The FT-IR of treated cotton fabrics indicated that hydroxyl( OH) of cellulose fiber and isocyanate group( NCO)of the polyurethane modified organic silicone has formed covalent cross-linking. X-ray diffraction( XRD) analysis revealed that the crystalline region of treated cotton fabrics wasn't changed. The wet rubbing fastness of treated cotton fabrics was increased by approximately rating 1 on average. There was little change of DE values for the polyurethane modified organic silicone. The softness was improved significantly. 展开更多

聚合物改性膨润土(PMB)因其低渗透性和优异的抗盐能力,已成为工业固废防渗领域的研究热点。然而,目前关于PMB在真实尾矿库服役环境中的研究与应用仍较有限。系统比较PMB与钠基膨润土(NaB)在不同污染环境下的膨胀性和重金属吸附性能,评... 聚合物改性膨润土(PMB)因其低渗透性和优异的抗盐能力,已成为工业固废防渗领域的研究热点。然而,目前关于PMB在真实尾矿库服役环境中的研究与应用仍较有限。系统比较PMB与钠基膨润土(NaB)在不同污染环境下的膨胀性和重金属吸附性能,评估聚合物改性膨润土-砂(PMB-S)与NaB-砂(NaB-S)混合物的渗透性能,并进一步探讨磷矿现场弃渣作为基质材料与PMB混合用于防渗的可行性。结果表明,PMB在pH 2~pH 12范围内自由膨胀指数始终>50 mL/2 g,显著高于NaB;同时,其对Pb^(2+)和Cu^(2+)的吸附性能也优于NaB,尤其在酸性环境下,去除率分别提高58.42%和61.31%。PMB-S混合物的渗透系数明显低于NaB-S,且在多数污染环境下可稳定低于1×10^(-8)cm/s。PMB与三种磷矿弃渣混合物的渗透性能与PMB-S接近,验证弃渣作为防渗基质材料的可行性。通过在强碱性铅锌矿和强酸性磷石膏尾矿库开展原位防渗工程示范,进一步验证PMB-S在实际工况下的防渗与污染阻隔性能。 展开更多

针对季节性冻土区重金属污染阻隔工程需求,探究瓜尔胶占比和水浴温度对膨润土膨胀指数的影响,以水泥为基材,考察改性膨润土掺量、煤气化渣掺量、养护时间和冻融循环对材料防渗和抗冻融性能的影响。结果表明:瓜尔胶改性膨润土最优掺量临... 针对季节性冻土区重金属污染阻隔工程需求,探究瓜尔胶占比和水浴温度对膨润土膨胀指数的影响,以水泥为基材,考察改性膨润土掺量、煤气化渣掺量、养护时间和冻融循环对材料防渗和抗冻融性能的影响。结果表明:瓜尔胶改性膨润土最优掺量临界占比约为0.01%,超过临界占比后,溶液黏性过大,膨润土与聚合物溶液接触不充分。70℃为最佳改性温度,该温度下膨润土充分水化,瓜尔胶分子保持最佳构型,体系黏度适中。水泥-煤气化渣-改性膨润土材料的最优配比为1∶0.56∶0.07(质量比),较同期养护的水泥-改性膨润土最优配比(1∶0.07)试块渗透系数降低84.19%,煤气化渣的添加促进了孔隙的填充和C-S-H凝胶的产生。养护28 d的最优配比试块经过7次冻融循环后的渗透系数为8.73×10-8 cm/s,展现出良好的抗冻融性能。研究为季节性冻土区污染阻隔工程提供了高性能防渗材料,具有重要的理论和工程应用价值。 展开更多

Magnetic-luminescent nanocomposites have obtained a great deal of attention due to their potential applications in magnetic separation of cells, magnetic resonance imaging and luminescence imaging, and so on. Herein, a new and facile two-step synthetic strategy was developed to prepare magnetic Fe304 modified single crystalline up- conversion luminescent NaYF4: Yb3+, Er3+ nanocrystals using Fe304 nanoparticles as the seeds. Acting as the "nu- clei" in the reaction, the presence of Fe304 nanoparticles facilitates the formation of up-conversion NaYF4: Yb3+, Er3+ nanocrystals on their surfaces through heterogeneous nucleation process. The structure and properties of these multifunctional nanocrystals were characterized by transmission electron microscope (TEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), photo luminescence (PL) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The results revealed that the as-prepared multifunctional nanocrystals show dual distinct properties of up-conversion fluorescent and superpara- magnetism, which were cubic in shape and very uniform in size with an average size ranging 30m40 nm. These unique functionalities could be very attractive for biological systems, and some biological applications such as cell- labelling were also demonstrated. 展开更多

In this study,the direct intercalation of gemini ionic liquids(ILs)with different alkyl chains into the bentonite(BT)interlayer as a high-performance lubricating additive for base oil 500SN was investigated.The purpose of modifying BT with an IL is to improve the dispersion stability and lubricity of BT in lubricating oil.The dispersibility and tribological properties of IL–BT as oil-based additives for 500SN depend on the increase in interlamellar space in BT and improve as the chain length is increased.More importantly,the IL–BT nanomaterial outperforms individual BT in improving wear resistance,owing to its sheet layers were deformed and sprawled in furrows along the metal surface,thereby resulting in low surface adhesion.Because of its excellent lubrication performance,IL-modified BT is a potential candidate for the main component of drilling fluid.It can be used as a lubricating additive in oil drilling and oil well construction to reduce equipment damage and ensure the normal operation of equipments. 展开更多

依据JTG E20—2011《公路工程沥青及沥青混合料试验规程》,以针入度、动力黏度等为考察因素,优选出自合成纳米改性剂(NP-B),同时以改性后沥青产烟量、烟气中有毒气体含量为考察因素优选出2,4-甲基-3-环己烯甲醛为最佳净味剂。实验结果表... 依据JTG E20—2011《公路工程沥青及沥青混合料试验规程》,以针入度、动力黏度等为考察因素,优选出自合成纳米改性剂(NP-B),同时以改性后沥青产烟量、烟气中有毒气体含量为考察因素优选出2,4-甲基-3-环己烯甲醛为最佳净味剂。实验结果表明,以100 g SBS、50 g石油树脂、15 g司盘60以及2 g隔离粉剂,并加入10%NP-B以及0.3%2,4-甲基-3-环己烯甲醛制备出的净味改性剂母粒对沥青的改性效果最佳,且最佳加量为16%,改性后沥青各项性能满足行业标准的同时,使30 min产烟量降至15.1 mg,烟气中VOC、SO_(2)和H_(2)S含量分别降低至131.7、0.558、0.107 mg/kg。 展开更多

四黄散加减外敷治疗急性痛风性关节炎的临床疗效观察

目的评价在传统标准化中西医治疗基础上,加用四黄散加减方外敷治疗急性痛风性关节炎的临床疗效。方法采用临床随机对照试验(RCT)的“三盲”法设计,将2025年01月至2025年12月收治的100例急性痛风性关节炎患者随机分为对照组和观察组,每... 目的评价在传统标准化中西医治疗基础上,加用四黄散加减方外敷治疗急性痛风性关节炎的临床疗效。方法采用临床随机对照试验(RCT)的“三盲”法设计,将2025年01月至2025年12月收治的100例急性痛风性关节炎患者随机分为对照组和观察组,每组50例。对照组给予常规中西医结合治疗(包括健康教育、饮食控制、口服非甾体抗炎药、秋水仙碱及中药内服等),观察组在对照组治疗基础上,加用四黄散加减方(大黄30g,黄柏30g,黄连15g,黄芩30g,芒硝15g,冰片20g,威灵仙15g,羌活15g,赤芍15g,蒲公英12g,川芎15g,当归15g,独活12g)外敷患处。治疗4天-7天后,比较两组患者关节红肿程度、疼痛视觉模拟评分(VAS)、关节活动受限情况改善程度及患者满意度。结果治疗后,两组患者的临床症状均有改善,但观察组在关节红肿消退、疼痛VAS评分降低、关节活动改善方面均显著优于对照组(P<0.05),且患者总体满意度(96.0%)显著高于对照组(80.0%),差异均具有统计学意义。结论四黄散加减方外敷能显著增强急性痛风性关节炎的临床疗效,有效缓解红肿热痛,改善关节功能,安全性好,是一种值得临床推广应用的优秀辅助疗法。 展开更多
