Linsangs(Prionodon Horsfield,1822)are small,arboreal feliform carnivorans that live in the tropical and subtropical forests of Southeast Asia and southern China.Several lines of morphological evidence from the soft ti...Linsangs(Prionodon Horsfield,1822)are small,arboreal feliform carnivorans that live in the tropical and subtropical forests of Southeast Asia and southern China.Several lines of morphological evidence from the soft tissues,dentition,and basicranium support their placement in either Prionodontinae or Viverrinae of Viverridae.However,molecular evidence has not only excluded the linsangs from Viverridae but also established that they constitute a monogeneric family Prionodontidae sister to Felidae.For that reason,the examination of the skull osteology of linsangs and related taxa is necessary to better understand how morphological and molecular data-particularly morphology-have contributed to the reconstruction of the Feliformia phylogeny.During the summer field season in July of 2020,we stumbled across the carcass of a spotted linsang(P.pardicolor)in a karst cave on the outskirts of Chongzuo City.To contribute to the knowledge about the morphology of this enigmatic feliform carnivoran,we present a preliminary description of the exterior skull osteology of P.pardicolor.The craniodental morphology provides strong evidence for a closer phylogenetic relationship between P.pardicolor and Viverrinae.However,since both morphological and molecular approaches have inherent limitations,caution is urged when inferring feliform phylogeny based on either discipline alone.展开更多

As silicon-based transistors face fundamental scaling limits,the search for breakthrough alternatives has led to innovations in 3D architectures,heterogeneous integration,and sub-3 nm semiconductor body thicknesses.Ho...As silicon-based transistors face fundamental scaling limits,the search for breakthrough alternatives has led to innovations in 3D architectures,heterogeneous integration,and sub-3 nm semiconductor body thicknesses.However,the true effectiveness of these advancements lies in the seamless integration of alternative semiconductors tailored for next-generation transistors.In this review,we highlight key advances that enhance both scalability and switching performance by leveraging emerging semiconductor materials.Among the most promising candidates are 2D van der Waals semiconductors,Mott insulators,and amorphous oxide semiconductors,which offer not only unique electrical properties but also low-power operation and high carrier mobility.Additionally,we explore the synergistic interactions between these novel semiconductors and advanced gate dielectrics,including high-K materials,ferroelectrics,and atomically thin hexagonal boron nitride layers.Beyond introducing these novel material configurations,we address critical challenges such as leakage current and long-term device reliability,which become increasingly crucial as transistors scale down to atomic dimensions.Through concrete examples showcasing the potential of these materials in transistors,we provide key insights into overcoming fundamental obstacles—such as device reliability,scaling down limitations,and extended applications in artificial intelligence—ultimately paving the way for the development of future transistor technologies.展开更多

Ensuring national food security amidst rapid population growth and increasing extreme weather events remains a critical global challenge.However,the extent to which agricultural modernization in China enhances grain y...Ensuring national food security amidst rapid population growth and increasing extreme weather events remains a critical global challenge.However,the extent to which agricultural modernization in China enhances grain yield and contributes to food security remains unclear.Therefore,using panel data from 327 Chinese cities(2013–2021),this study employs spatial econometric models to analyze the spatial spillover effects of agricultural modernization level(AML)on grain yield and to reveal regional heterogeneity across nine major agricultural zones.The results showed a cumulative grain yield increase of 23.7 million tons,with peak productivity concentrated along the Hu Line and declining eastward and westward.AML also exhibited a steady increase but a clear spatial gradient,decreasing from coastal to inland regions,with the highest level observed in Southern China(SC).A key finding was that a 1%increase in AML directly raised local grain yield by an average of 4.185%,accompanied by significant positive spillover effects on neighboring regions.Regional variations revealed distinct patterns:the direct effects of AML were more pronounced in southern and eastern zones,while spillover effects dominated in northern and western zones.The largest positive direct impact of AML on grain yield was observed in the SC(8.499%),while Middle-Lower Yangtze Plain ranked second but exhibited the strongest positive spatial spillover effect(4.534%).These findings highlight the critical role of agricultural modernization in promoting grain production and provide a solid basis for optimizing regional agricultural systems,ensuring food security,and advancing sustainable agriculture.展开更多

文摘Ensuring national food security amidst rapid population growth and increasing extreme weather events remains a critical global challenge.However,the extent to which agricultural modernization in China enhances grain yield and contributes to food security remains unclear.Therefore,using panel data from 327 Chinese cities(2013–2021),this study employs spatial econometric models to analyze the spatial spillover effects of agricultural modernization level(AML)on grain yield and to reveal regional heterogeneity across nine major agricultural zones.The results showed a cumulative grain yield increase of 23.7 million tons,with peak productivity concentrated along the Hu Line and declining eastward and westward.AML also exhibited a steady increase but a clear spatial gradient,decreasing from coastal to inland regions,with the highest level observed in Southern China(SC).A key finding was that a 1%increase in AML directly raised local grain yield by an average of 4.185%,accompanied by significant positive spillover effects on neighboring regions.Regional variations revealed distinct patterns:the direct effects of AML were more pronounced in southern and eastern zones,while spillover effects dominated in northern and western zones.The largest positive direct impact of AML on grain yield was observed in the SC(8.499%),while Middle-Lower Yangtze Plain ranked second but exhibited the strongest positive spatial spillover effect(4.534%).These findings highlight the critical role of agricultural modernization in promoting grain production and provide a solid basis for optimizing regional agricultural systems,ensuring food security,and advancing sustainable agriculture.

文摘Modern land plants comprise two main lineages:tracheophytes and bryophytes.The latter include mosses,liverworts,and hornworts.Bryophytes are second only to angiosperms in diversity,with approximately 22,000 species(Shaw,2008).They are characterized by a life cycle dominated by haploid gametophytes,with unbranched diploid sporophytes attached to the gametophytes,producing spores for sexual reproduction(Shaw and Renzaglia,2004).Bryophytes have demonstrated great adaptability to modern ecosystems,thriving in environments ranging from deserts to wetlands and from tropical to polar regions(Degola et al.,2022).This adaptability suggests that bryophytes may have evolved an effective genetic toolkit for stress tolerance.Advances in genome sequencing and assembly technologies offer great opportunities to decipher the genetic toolkit and study the evolution of resistance and environmental adaptation in bryophytes.

文摘Background:The historical trajectory of TCM appropriate technologies spans from their primordial origins in daily life practices,through the systematization of classical theoretical frameworks,to modern scientific validation and health management applications.Methods:Employing literature review and historical analysis methodologies,this study systematically traces and synthesizes the entire developmental pathway of TCM appropriate technologies.Results:The analysis reveals the intrinsic developmental patterns of these technologies and underscores their practical significance in“preventive treatment”and chronic condition management.A key exemplar of modern innovation is presented:the Hand Twelve Jing-Well Points Exercise.This non-invasive technique adapts the classical Jing-Well Points(jǐng xué)theory,extending its traditional functions in emergency care and brain health from a focus on“treating established diseases”to the paradigm of“preventive treatment.”Conclusion:This research provides a comprehensive case study for the systematic investigation of TCM appropriate technologies.It elucidates a model of inheritance and innovation within modern healthcare systems and offers a theoretical foundation for the promotion and cultural dissemination of these practices.

文摘Educational cooperation,as the cornerstone and vanguard of people-to-people exchanges and practical cooperation between China and Africa,holds irreplaceable strategic significance for enhancing the quality of Africa's human capital and accelerating its structural transformation and modernization process.This paper employs“demand–supply–adaptation”as its core analytical framework and aims to systematically explore how the educational cooperation between China and Africa can serve Africa's goal of modernization more precisely and effectively.First,through reviewing and analyzing the domestic and international research literature,this paper clarifies the focus,paradigms,and shortcomings of existing research,identifying the knowledge contribution of this study.Second,utilizing detailed macro-level data,case studies,and comparative research methods,it comprehensively presents the multidimensional status,structural characteristics,and development trends of China–Africa educational cooperation in areas such as student exchanges,cooperative education,vocational and technical training,language and cultural exchange,and emerging digital education.This paper also deeply analyzes the pressing and specific demands placed on the education system by Africa's modernization development across key dimensions like economic diversification,industrialization,agricultural modernization,social governance upgrading,and digital transformation.Third,based on the cooperative principle of“Africa's needs and China's strengths,”this paper innovatively proposes systematic countermeasures and suggestions for constructing new,multi-level,high-quality,sustainable,and future-oriented pathways for China–Africa educational cooperation:(a)promoting the strategic focus of cooperation to extend from“hard infrastructure”support to empowering“soft infrastructure”;(b)deepening the integration of industry and education and school–enterprise collaboration to precisely align with Africa's industrial development needs;vigorously developing digital education and jointly building a smart education ecosystem to help Africa bridge the digital divide;(c)improving an evidence-based,third-party evaluation system for cooperative effectiveness and a full-process quality assurance system;and(d)promoting the collaborative participation of multiple actors including governments,schools,enterprises,think tanks,and social organizations to build a new cooperative pattern of coconstruction,co-governance,and shared benefits.
