In the face of uncertainty about climate change, this study examines the dynamics of sea level rise and coastline erosion in the East Coast of Malaysia. It examines past changes in the shoreline, beach profiles, and erosion rates using sophisticated coastal engineering models, remote sensing, field observations, and numerical modeling. The focus is on developing a strong approach for Coastal City Hazard Management(CCHM)zones and modeling erosion trends. Results show that coastal erosion poses a serious risk to socioeconomic activities, habitats, and biodiversity. It is made worse by sea level rise and human activity. There is an assessment of the implications and solutions for mitigation for critical regions.Policymakers, engaged in coastal hazard management and climate change adaptation will find the study vital as it promotes proactive measures to protect vulnerable coastal populations and ecosystems. 展开更多
