These tests include a wide range of multi-DOF coupled oscillatory motions with various amplitudes and frequencies. Then, for aerodynamic modeling and analysis, a novel data-driven Feature-Level Attention Recurrent neural network(FLAR) is proposed. This model incorporates a specially designed feature-level attention module that focuses on the state variables affecting the aerodynamic coefficients, thereby enhancing the physical interpretability of the aerodynamic model. Subsequently, spin maneuver simulations, using a mathematical model as the baseline, are conducted to validate the effectiveness of the FLAR. Finally, the results on wind tunnel data reveal that the FLAR accurately predicts aerodynamic coefficients, and observations through the visualization of attention scores identify the key state variables that affect the aerodynamic coefficients. It is concluded that the proposed FLAR enhances the interpretability of the aerodynamic model while achieving good prediction accuracy and generalization capability for multi-DOF coupling motion at high angles of attack.展开更多

文摘Unsteady aerodynamic characteristics at high angles of attack are of great importance to the design and development of advanced fighter aircraft, which are characterized by post-stall maneuverability with multiple Degrees-of-Freedom(multi-DOF) and complex flow field structure. In this paper, a special kind of cable-driven parallel mechanism is firstly utilized as a new suspension method to conduct unsteady dynamic wind tunnel tests at high angles of attack, thereby providing experimental aerodynamic data. It is concluded that the proposed FLAR enhances the interpretability of the aerodynamic model while achieving good prediction accuracy and generalization capability for multi-DOF coupling motion at high angles of attack.

文摘Accurate satellite data assimilation under all-sky conditions requires enhanced parameterization of scattering properties for frozen hydrometeors in clouds. This study aims to develop a nonspherical scattering look-up table that contains the optical properties of five hydrometeor types—rain, cloud water, cloud ice, graupel, and snow—for the Advanced Radiative Transfer Modeling System(ARMS)at frequencies below 220 GHz.The discrete dipole approximation(DDA)method is employed to compute the single-scattering properties of solid cloud particles, modeling these particles as aggregated roughened bullet rosettes. The bulk optical properties of the cloud layer are derived by integrating the singlescattering properties with a modified Gamma size distribution, specifically for distributions with 18 effective radii. The bulk phase function is then projected onto a series of generalized spherical functions, applying the delta-M method for truncation. The results indicate that simulations using the newly developed nonspherical scattering look-up table exhibit significant consistency with observations under deep convection conditions. In contrast, assuming spherical solid cloud particles leads to excessive scattering at mid-frequency channels and insufficient scattering at high-frequency channels. This improvement in radiative transfer simulation accuracy for cloudy conditions will better support the assimilation of allsky microwave observations into numerical weather prediction models.·Frozen cloud particles were modeled as aggregates of bullet rosettes and the optical properties at microwave range were computed by DDA.·A complete process and technical details for constructing a look-up table of ARMS are provided.·The ARMS simulations generally show agreement with observations of MWTS and MWHS under typhoon conditions using the new look-up table.

文摘Control signaling is mandatory for the operation and management of all types of communication networks, including the Third Generation Partnership Project(3GPP)mobile broadband networks. However, they consume important and scarce network resources such as bandwidth and processing power. There have been several reports of these control signaling turning into signaling storms halting network operations and causing the respective Telecom companies big financial losses. This paper draws its motivation from such real network disaster incidents attributed to signaling storms. In this paper,we present a thorough survey of the causes,of the signaling storm problems in 3GPP-based mobile broadband networks and discuss in detail their possible solutions and countermeasures. We provide relevant analytical models to help quantify the effect of the potential causes and benefits of their corresponding solutions.Another important contribution of this paper is the comparison of the possible causes and solutions/countermeasures,concerning their effect on several important network aspects such as architecture, additional signaling, fidelity, etc.,in the form of a table. This paper presents an update and an extension of our earlier conference publication. To our knowledge,no similar survey study exists on the subject.

文摘To ensure the operational safety of railways in the landslide-prone areas of mountainous regions,a large-scale model test and numerical simulation were conducted to study the bending moment distribution, internal force distribution, deformation development, and crack propagation characteristics of a framed anti-sliding structure(FAS)under landslide thrust up to the point of failure. Results show that the maximum bending moment and its increase rate in the fore pile are greater than those in the rear pile, with the maximum bending moment of the fore pile approximately 1.1 times that of the rear pile. When the FAS fails, the displacement at the top of the fore pile is significantly greater, about 1.27 times that of the rear pile in the experiment.Major cracks develop at locations corresponding to the peak bending moments.Small transverse cracks initially appear on the upper surface at the intersection between the primary beam and rear pile and then spread to the side of the structure. At the failure stage, major cracks are observed at the pil-beam intersections and near the anchor points.Strengthening flexural stiffness at intersections where major cracks occur can improve the overall thrust-deformation coordination of the FAS,thereby maximizing its performance.

文摘To comprehensively utilize the valuable geological map, exploration profile, borehole, and geochemical logging data and the knowledge on the formation of the Jinshan Ag-Au deposit for forecasting the exploration targets of concealed ore bodies,three-dimensional Mineral Prospectivity Modeling(MPM)of the deposit has been conducted using the weights-of-evidence(WofE)method.Conditional independence between evidence layers was tested, and the outline results using the prediction-volume(P-V)and Student's t-statistic methods for delineating favorable mineralization areas from continuous posterior probability map were critically compared.Four exploration targets delineated ultimately by the Student's t-statistic method for the discovery of minable ore bodies in each of the target areas were discussed in detail. The main conclusions include:(1)three-dimensional modeling of a deposit using multi-source reconnaissance data is useful for MPM in interpreting their relationships with known ore bodies;(2)WofE modeling can be used as a straightforward tool for integrating deposit model and reconnaissance data in MPM;(3)the Student's t-statistic method is more applicable in binarizing the continuous prospectivity map for exploration targeting than the PV approach;and(4)two target areas within high potential to find undiscovered ore bodies were diagnosed to guide future near-mine exploration activities of the Jinshan deposit.

文摘This paper presents a dynamic modeling method to test and examine the minimum mass of pressurized pore-gas for triggering landslides in stable gentle soil slopes.A stable gentle soil slope model is constructed with a dry cement powder core,a saturated clay middle layer, and a dry sand upper layer. The test injects H_(2)O_(2)solution into the cement core to produce new pore-gas.The model test includes three identical H_(2)O_(2)injections.The small mass of generated oxygen gas(0.07%of slope soil mass and landslide body)from the first injection can build sufficient pore-gas pressure to cause soil upheaval and slide.Meanwhile, despite the first injection causing leak paths in the clay layer, the generated small mass of gas from the second and third injections can further trigger the landslide.A dynamic theoretical analysis of the slope failure is carried out and the required minimum pore-gas pressure for the landslide is calculated. The mass and pressure of generated gas in the model test are also estimated based on the calibration test for oxygen generation from H_(2)O_(2)solution in cement powder. The results indicate that the minimum mass of the generated gas for triggering the landslide is 2 ppm to 0.07%of the landslide body.Furthermore, the small mass of gas can provide sufficient pressure to cause soil upheaval and soil sliding in dynamic analysis.

文摘Wireless Sensor Networks(WSN)have gained significant attention over recent years due to their extensive applications in various domains such as environmentalmonitoring, healthcare systems, industrial automation, and smart cities. However, such networks are inherently vulnerable to different types of attacks because they operate in open environments with limited resources and constrained communication capabilities.Thepaper addresses challenges related to modeling and analysis of wireless sensor networks and their susceptibility to attacks. Its objective is to create versatile modeling tools capable of detecting attacks against network devices and identifying anomalies caused either by legitimate user errors or malicious activities.A proposed integrated approach for data collection, preprocessing, and analysis in WSN outlines a series of steps applicable throughout both the design phase and operation stage. This ensures effective detection of attacks and anomalies within WSNs.An introduced attackmodel specifies potential types of unauthorized network layer attacks targeting network nodes, transmitted data, and services offered by the WSN.Furthermore,a graph-based analytical framework was designed to detect attacks by evaluating real-time events from network nodes and determining if an attack is underway.Additionally,a simulation model based on sequences of imperative rules defining behaviors of both regular and compromised nodes is presented.Overall, this technique was experimentally verified using a segment of a WSN embedded in a smart city infrastructure, simulating a wormhole attack. Results demonstrate the viability and practical significance of the technique for enhancing future information security measures.Validation tests confirmed high levels of accuracy and efficiency when applied specifically to detecting wormhole attacks targeting routing protocols in WSNs.Precision and recall rates averaged above the benchmark value of 0.95,thus validating the broad applicability of the proposed models across varied scenarios.

文摘Selective laser melting(SLM)plays a critical role in additive manufacturing, particularly in the fabrication of complex high-precision components. This study selects the AlSi10Mg alloy for its extensive use in the aerospace and automotive industries, which require lightweight structures with superior thermal and mechanical properties. The thermal load induces residual tensile stress, leading to a decline in the geometric accuracy of the workpiece and causing cracks that reduce the fatigue life of the alloy. The rapid movement of the laser heat source during the material formation creates a localized and inhomogeneous temperature field in the powder bed.Significant temperature gradients are generated, resulting in thermal stresses and distortions within the part, affecting the quality of the molding. Therefore, understanding the effects of processing parameters and scanning strategies on the temperature field in SLM is crucial. To address these issues, this study proposes a multiscale method for predicting the complex transient temperature field during the manufacturing process based on the heat-conduction equation.Considering the influence of temperature on the material properties,a temperature-prediction model for discontinuous scanning paths in SLM and a temperature field-calculation model for irregular scanning paths are developed. The models are validated using finite-element results and are in excellent agreement. The analytical model is then used to investigate the effects of the laser power, scanning speed, and scanning spacing on the temperature distribution. The results reveal that the peak temperature decreases exponentially with increasing scanning speed and increases linearly with increasing laser power. In addition, with increasing scanning spacing, the peak temperature of the adjacent tracks near the observation point decreases linearly. These findings are critical for optimizing the SLM-process parameters and improving the material-forming quality.

文摘Rock is geometrically and mechanically multiscale in nature, and the traditional phenomenological laws at the macroscale cannot render a quantitative relationship between microscopic damage of rocks and overall rock structural degradation. This may lead to problems in the evaluation of rock structure stability and safe life.Multiscale numerical modeling is regarded as an effective way to gain insight into factors affecting rock properties from a cross-scale view. This study compiles the history of theoretical developments and numerical techniques related to rock multiscale issues according to different modeling architectures, that is,the homogenization theory, the hierarchical approach, and the concurrent approach. For these approaches, their benefits, drawbacks, and application scope are underlined.Despite the considerable attempts that have been made, some key issues still result in multiple challenges. Therefore, this study points out the perspectives of rock multiscale issues so as to provide a research direction for the future. The review results show that,in addition to numerical techniques, for example,high-performance computing, more attention should be paid to the development of an advanced constitutive model with consideration of fine geometrical descriptions of rock to facilitate solutions to multiscale problems in rock mechanics and rock engineering.

文摘Architecture framework has become an effective method recently to describe the system of systems(SoS)architecture, such as the United States(US)Department of Defense Architecture Framework Version 2.0(DoDAF2.0).As a viewpoint in DoDAF2.0,the operational viewpoint(OV)describes operational activities, nodes, and resource flows. The OV models are important for SoS architecture development. However,as the SoS complexity increases, constructing OV models with traditional methods exposes shortcomings, such as inefficient data collection and low modeling standards. Therefore,we propose an intelligent modeling method for five OV models, including operational resource flow OV-2,organizational relationships OV-4,operational activity hierarchy OV-5a,operational activities model OV-5b,and operational activity sequences OV-6c.The main idea of the method is to extract OV architecture data from text and generate interoperable OV models.First,we construct the OV meta model based on the DoDAF2.0 meta model(DM2).Second,OV architecture named entities is recognized from text based on the bidirectional long short-term memory and conditional random field(BiLSTM-CRF)model.And OV architecture relationships are collected with relationship extraction rules. Finally,we define the generation rules for OV models and develop an OV modeling tool.We use unmanned surface vehicles(USV)swarm target defense SoS architecture as a case to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the intelligent modeling method.
