Impacts of E-commerce on Travel Behaviour:Empirical Evidence from Mobile App Usage

The rapid spread of information and communication technologies has precipitated the emergence of a novel e-commerce paradigm:mobile ordering.In conjunction with conventional online shopping,this development has significantly altered the travel pat-terns of urban residents and has the potential to either mitigate or exacerbate disparities in the distribution of amenities and resources.Behavioural research has concentrated on online shopping;there is a dearth of studies on the differences between online shopping and mobile ordering,two distinct types of e-commerce.Using the setting of the Wuhan Metropolitan Development Area in 2022,this study uses distribution probability indices,exploratory spatial data analysis,and a quantile regression model to investigate the spatial distribu-tion patterns of online shopping and mobile ordering and to assess the differential impacts of these two types of e-commerce on travel behaviour across urban and suburban locations.The main findings are as follows:1)the likelihood of engaging in online shopping is greater in suburban regions than urban regions,whereas mobile ordering is more prevalent in central urban areas.The high-value zones for both activities are concentrated in the suburban-rural fringe,approximately 24 km from the city’s geometric centre.2)The bivariate global Moran’s I indices for the impacts of both types of e-commerce on travel distance and travel frequency demonstrate significant spatial positive correlations(0.15±0.02),with P-values that are less than 0.001,indicating spatial heterogeneity in the impacts of e-commerce on travel behaviour.3)Online shopping exerts a positive influence on both travel distance and frequency,with a weaker in-fluence in central urban than suburban areas.Mobile ordering positively affects travel frequency,with a more pronounced influence in central urban than suburban areas.Additionally,mobile ordering has a negative impact on travel distance,with the impact being margin-ally less pronounced in the central urban area than in the suburban periphery.The results offer insights into the complex interplay between e-commerce and comprehensive travel behaviours across various geographical locations. 展开更多

Layered Feature Engineering for E-Commerce Purchase Prediction:A Hierarchical Evaluation on Taobao User Behavior Datasets

Accurate purchase prediction in e-commerce critically depends on the quality of behavioral features.This paper proposes a layered and interpretable feature engineering framework that organizes user signals into three layers:Basic,Conversion&Stability(efficiency and volatility across actions),and Advanced Interactions&Activity(crossbehavior synergies and intensity).Using real Taobao(Alibaba’s primary e-commerce platform)logs(57,976 records for 10,203 users;25 November–03 December 2017),we conducted a hierarchical,layer-wise evaluation that holds data splits and hyperparameters fixed while varying only the feature set to quantify each layer’s marginal contribution.Across logistic regression(LR),decision tree,random forest,XGBoost,and CatBoost models with stratified 5-fold cross-validation,the performance improvedmonotonically fromBasic to Conversion&Stability to Advanced features.With LR,F1 increased from 0.613(Basic)to 0.962(Advanced);boosted models achieved high discrimination(0.995 AUC Score)and an F1 score up to 0.983.Calibration and precision–recall analyses indicated strong ranking quality and acknowledged potential dataset and period biases given the short(9-day)window.By making feature contributions measurable and reproducible,the framework complements model-centric advances and offers a transparent blueprint for production-grade behavioralmodeling.The code and processed artifacts are publicly available,and future work will extend the validation to longer,seasonal datasets and hybrid approaches that combine automated feature learning with domain-driven design. 展开更多

This study examined the relationship between loneliness and mobile phone addiction(MPA),and the mediating roles of social anxiety and self presentation in that relationship.The sample comprised 559 students(male=250,female=309,mean age=20.78 years,SD=1.13 years).Based on bias-corrected bootstrap method,our indicate loneliness to be associated with MPA of college students.Additionally,social anxiety and self-presentation,respectively,partially mediated the association between loneliness and college students’MPA.Specifically,as loneliness increased,both social anxiety and self-presentation rose,thereby increasing MPA.Social anxiety and self-presentation also sequentially mediated the relationship between loneliness and MPA among college students,such that greater loneliness heightened social anxiety,which subsequently enhanced self-presentation,ultimately resulting in increased MPA.These findings are consistent with Compensatory Internet Use Theory(CIUT).This study findings suggest for college students counselling and development services should alleviate loneliness and social anxiety through group activities,Cognitive-behavioral Therapy(CBT),and social skills training to foster belonging and reduce students’reliance on mobile phones. 展开更多

Energy Optimization for Autonomous Mobile Robot Path Planning Based on Deep Reinforcement Learning

At present,energy consumption is one of the main bottlenecks in autonomous mobile robot development.To address the challenge of high energy consumption in path planning for autonomous mobile robots navigating unknown and complex environments,this paper proposes an Attention-Enhanced Dueling Deep Q-Network(ADDueling DQN),which integrates a multi-head attention mechanism and a prioritized experience replay strategy into a Dueling-DQN reinforcement learning framework.A multi-objective reward function,centered on energy efficiency,is designed to comprehensively consider path length,terrain slope,motion smoothness,and obstacle avoidance,enabling optimal low-energy trajectory generation in 3D space from the source.The incorporation of a multihead attention mechanism allows the model to dynamically focus on energy-critical state features—such as slope gradients and obstacle density—thereby significantly improving its ability to recognize and avoid energy-intensive paths.Additionally,the prioritized experience replay mechanism accelerates learning from key decision-making experiences,suppressing inefficient exploration and guiding the policy toward low-energy solutions more rapidly.The effectiveness of the proposed path planning algorithm is validated through simulation experiments conducted in multiple off-road scenarios.Results demonstrate that AD-Dueling DQN consistently achieves the lowest average energy consumption across all tested environments.Moreover,the proposed method exhibits faster convergence and greater training stability compared to baseline algorithms,highlighting its global optimization capability under energy-aware objectives in complex terrains.This study offers an efficient and scalable intelligent control strategy for the development of energy-conscious autonomous navigation systems. 展开更多

为移动设备设计的轻量级卷积神经网络具有较快的推理速度,但受到自身网络局部性约束,即仅能在一个窗口区域内捕获局部信息,导致性能下降。引入自注意力机制虽然可以捕获全局信息,但会降低检测速度。针对上述问题,本文基于YOLOv8提出一... 为移动设备设计的轻量级卷积神经网络具有较快的推理速度,但受到自身网络局部性约束,即仅能在一个窗口区域内捕获局部信息,导致性能下降。引入自注意力机制虽然可以捕获全局信息,但会降低检测速度。针对上述问题,本文基于YOLOv8提出一种对硬件友好的MobileNetV4网络架构。该结构通过引入通用倒置瓶颈搜索块,融合了倒置瓶颈、ConvNext、Feed Forward网络及一种新型的额外深度卷积变体。同时,该结构还引入了动态上采样算子,改进了上采样操作,降低了模型使用GPU的内存和延迟。此外,本文改进了YOLOv8的检测头,通过引入动态检测头,将空间感知、尺度感知和任务感知融合到一个框架中,并在目标检测头中有效地应用注意力机制,提高检测性能和效率。实验结果表明,与次优模型YOLOv8n相比,YOLOv8n_M的平均精度均值mAP50~95提升了1.3%;在模型复杂度方面,YOLOv8n_M成功压缩了36%的模型规模(参数量缩减100万),同时将计算量降低26%(十亿次浮点运算GFLOPs减少2.4单位)。本文提出的YOLOv8n_M有效减少了模型的参数量和推理时间,并在一定程度上提高了模型在不同环境下的目标检测精度。 展开更多

为了提高光伏发电功率等级分类准确性以适应行业要求,提出了一种基于Res-MobileCom并行网络的分类模型。在数据处理中使用去归一化的双线性插值法最大限度保留数据特征,然后通过简化残差网络(ResNet)和用于移动视觉的高效卷积神经网络(M... 为了提高光伏发电功率等级分类准确性以适应行业要求,提出了一种基于Res-MobileCom并行网络的分类模型。在数据处理中使用去归一化的双线性插值法最大限度保留数据特征,然后通过简化残差网络(ResNet)和用于移动视觉的高效卷积神经网络(MobileNet)结构并行训练后将其输出联合输入信道估计-信号检测网络(ComNet)中进一步提取数据特征,最终得到分类结果。试验结果表明:相比于常见的深度学习模型,ResMobileCom模型保持了ResNet和MobileNet的特征提取能力和轻量性,模型具备较好的平衡性和泛化能力;采用去归一化双线性插值法和进一步提取数据特征的ComNet后,模型准确率提高了10百分点以上,为提高光伏发电功率等级分类模型的准确率提供了新的方法和思路。未来工作将围绕稳定性优化、跨任务验证及工程化部署展开。 展开更多

Especially, to protect users' private information is becoming more important now and future. So an anonymous mobile agent security mechanism with the secure authentication infrastructure based on PKI (public key infrastructure) is proposed in the paper. The multi-agent system is programmed by java language and every agent must register itself in CA (certificate authority) before working in the net and express his legit identity which is temptly produced and used only once. The CA ensures the legal of all agents' identity which take part in communicaiton or trade. And every user agent identity only is used once which makes other agents cannot decipher users' private information. The security mechanism of the multi-agent system implements anonymity, integrity, data confidentiality of mobile agent based on the MH(multiple hop) integrity protection regard to PKI limit. 展开更多

Supported by a new generation of mobile devices, e-commerce is now in the process of being converted into m-commerce. While the traditional fixed PC access to the Internet continues to be important, the mobile access appears to attract more people because of its flexibility. The purpose of this paper is to develop and analyze a mathematical model for capturing how e-commerce performance would be affected by the mobile access to the Internet, where the original paper by Sumita and Yoshii (2010) is extended for better reality. The traditional e-commerce via the fixed PC access is compared with m-commerce which accommodates both the fixed PC access and the mobile access. The distribution of the number of products purchased by time t and the distribution of the time required for selling K products are derived explicitly. Numerical examples are given for illustrating behavioral differences between m-commerce consumers and traditional e-commerce consumers. 展开更多

The integration of the digital economy with the traditional sales industry has prompted the robust growth of e-commerce.Live-streaming e-commerce,as a novel business model,has gained immense popularity.However,is⁃sues of regulatory loopholes and inefficacy continue to surface.In live-streaming e-commerce,the head anchor,as host of the live-streaming rooms,wields significant influence in determining the goods to be showcased and marketed.Such influence expands risks such as infringement of intellectual property rights.Yet the uncertainty in law concerning the identity of head anchors results in a lack of accountability.Current norms are inadequate in constraining the group of head anchors.Drawing on the principles of risk control,the alignment between benefit and risk,and the theory of so⁃cial cost control,this paper argues that it is both justifiable and feasible to impose a duty to exercise reasonable care on head anchors.To effectively enshrine this duty in law,it is of great importance to redefine the mechanism of identifying the duty of care of head anchors in live-streaming e-commerce.In particular,the contents of the duty of care under⁃taken by head anchors and the consequences of breaching such a duty of care should be clarified. 展开更多

Current you only look once(YOLO)-based algorithm model is facing the challenge of overwhelming parameters and calculation complexity under the printed circuit board(PCB)defect detection application scenario.In order to solve this problem,we propose a new method,which combined the lightweight network mobile vision transformer(Mobile Vi T)with the convolutional block attention module(CBAM)mechanism and the new regression loss function.This method needed less computation resources,making it more suitable for embedded edge detection devices.Meanwhile,the new loss function improved the positioning accuracy of the bounding box and enhanced the robustness of the model.In addition,experiments on public datasets demonstrate that the improved model achieves an average accuracy of 87.9%across six typical defect detection tasks,while reducing computational costs by nearly 90%.It significantly reduces the model's computational requirements while maintaining accuracy,ensuring reliable performance for edge deployment. 展开更多

Cross-border e-commerce,as a new form of international trade,has shown great development potential in the context of the“Belt and Road”initiative.Based on the cross-border e-commerce export data from 2015 to 2024,this paper analyzes the influencing factors of China's cross-border e-commerce exports to countries along the“Belt and Road”by constructing an econometric model.The study found that factors such as the perfection of digital infrastructure,the efficiency of logistics and transportation,the convenience of payment and settlement,and the penetration rate of consumers online shopping significantly affect the export scale of cross-border e-commerce.Institutional factors such as the development level of e-commerce platforms in countries along the route,market access thresholds,and tariff policies also play an important role.Based on the research results,suggestions are put forward to strengthen the construction of cross-border payment system,optimize the logistics distribution network,promote customs clearance facilitation,and deepen cooperation in the field of e-commerce,to provide references for promoting the development of China's crossborder e-commerce exports to countries along the“Belt and Road.” 展开更多

Control signaling is mandatory for the operation and management of all types of communication networks,including the Third Generation Partnership Project(3GPP)mobile broadband networks.However,they consume important and scarce network resources such as bandwidth and processing power.There have been several reports of these control signaling turning into signaling storms halting network operations and causing the respective Telecom companies big financial losses.This paper draws its motivation from such real network disaster incidents attributed to signaling storms.In this paper,we present a thorough survey of the causes,of the signaling storm problems in 3GPP-based mobile broadband networks and discuss in detail their possible solutions and countermeasures.We provide relevant analytical models to help quantify the effect of the potential causes and benefits of their corresponding solutions.Another important contribution of this paper is the comparison of the possible causes and solutions/countermeasures,concerning their effect on several important network aspects such as architecture,additional signaling,fidelity,etc.,in the form of a table.This paper presents an update and an extension of our earlier conference publication.To our knowledge,no similar survey study exists on the subject. 展开更多

The fast growth of mobile autonomous machines from traditional equipment to unmanned autonomous vehicles has fueled the demand for accurate and reliable localization solutions in diverse application domains.Ultra Wide Band(UWB)technology has emerged as a promising candidate for addressing this need,offering high precision,immunity to multipath interference,and robust performance in challenging environments.In this comprehensive survey,we systematically explore UWB-based localization for mobile autonomous machines,spanning from fundamental principles to future trends.To the best of our knowledge,this review paper stands as the pioneer in systematically dissecting the algorithms of UWB-based localization for mobile autonomous machines,covering a spectrum from bottom-ranging schemes to advanced sensor fusion,error mitigation,and optimization techniques.By synthesizing existing knowledge,evaluating current methodologies,and highlighting future trends,this review aims to catalyze progress and innovation in the field,unlocking new opportunities for mobile autonomous machine applications across diverse industries and domains.Thus,it serves as a valuable resource for researchers,practitioners,and stakeholders interested in advancing the state-of-the-art UWB-based localization for mobile autonomous machines. 展开更多

This paper presents a robust finite-time visual servo control strategy for the tracking problem of omni-directional mobile manipulators(OMMs)subject to mismatched disturbances.First,the nonlinear kinematic model of visual servoing for OMMs with mismatched disturbances is explicitly presented to solve the whole-body inverse kinematic problem.Second,a sliding mode observer augmented with an integral terminal sliding mode controller is proposed to handle these uncertainties and ensure that the system converges to a small region around the equilibrium point.The boundary layer technique is employed to mitigate the chattering phenomenon.Furthermore,a strict finite-time Lyapunov stability analysis is conducted.An experimental comparison between the proposed algorithm and a traditional position-based visual servo controller is carried out,and the results demonstrate the superiority of the proposed control algorithm. 展开更多

Multiple quantum well(MQW) Ⅲ-nitride diodes that can simultaneously emit and detect light feature an overlapping region between their electroluminescence and responsivity spectra, which allows them to be simultaneously used as both a transmitter and a receiver in a wireless light communication system. Here, we demonstrate a mobile light communication system using a time-division multiplexing(TDM) scheme to achieve bidirectional data transmission via the same optical channel.Two identical blue MQW diodes are defined by software as a transmitter or a receiver. To address the light alignment issue, an image identification module integrated with a gimbal stabilizer is used to automatically detect the locations of moving targets;thus, underwater audio communication is realized via a mobile blue-light TDM communication mode.
