Unconsolidated sandstone reservoirs are most susceptible to sand production that leads to a dramatic oil production decline.In this study,the poly(4-vinyl pyridine)(P_(4)VP)incorporated with self-aggregating behavior was proposed for sand migration control.The P_(4)VP could aggregate sand grains spontaneously throughπ-πstacking interactions to withstand the drag forces sufficiently.The influential factors on the self-aggregating behavior of the P_(4)VP were evaluated by adhesion force test.The adsorption as well as desorption behavior of P_(4)VP on sand grains was characterized by scanning electron microscopy and adhesion force test at different pH conditions.The result indicated that the pH altered the forms of surface silanol groups on sand grains,which in turn affected the adsorption process of P_(4)VP.The spontaneous dimerization of P_(4)VP molecules resulting from theπ-πstacking interaction was demonstrated by reduced density gradient analysis,which contributed to the self-aggregating behavior and the thermally reversible characteristic of the P_(4)VP.Dynamic sand stabilization test revealed that the P_(4)VP showed wide pH and temperature ranges of application.The production of sands can be mitigated effectively at 20-130℃ within the pH range of 4-8. 展开更多

The process industry plays a crucial role in national economic development and national defense construction.However,as a typical energy-intensive industry,it is at the forefront of efforts to reduce carbon emissions.Information and communications technology(ICT)is an important means of achieving low-carbon operation in the process industry by strengthening the regulation of carbon flow in the production process.This paper first introduces the relevant research on low-carbon operation of industrial processes,and analyzes and summarizes the current research status and bottleneck.Then,the challenging problems faced by ICT in achieving low-carbon operation in the process industry are analyzed from four aspects:carbon emission sensing,carbon transfer modeling,carbon migration control,as well as low-carbon operation optimization throughout the entire process.Finally,the overall framework and vision for implementing low-carbon operation in the process industry through ICT are presented,and future research directions are proposed in conjunction with industrial artificial intelligence. 展开更多

The controlled migration of ions in biological systems has inspired the development of ion-based electronics.Ionic diodes,leveraging ions as charge carriers,offer selective control over ion flux,mimicking ion-selective behavior observed in biological systems.Conventional ionic diodes containing fluids encounter challenges in adapting to biological systems due to their limited stretchability and stability.Recent advancements in solid-state ionic diodes based on stretchable gels enable tissue-like stretchability while maintaining diode-like performance.However,their relatively low rectification ratio hinders their electrical performance,necessitating effective strategies to enhance the rectification effect of stretchable ionic diodes.Here,we propose a method to enhance the rectification effect of hydrogel-based stretchable ionic diodes by incorporating high-valence cations into the P-type hydrogel layer.Through neutralization reactions,cations with valences of 1,2,and 3 were introduced to replace original hydrogen ions in the hydrogel,resulting in a substantial increase in the rectification ratio from 3 to over 70,with an elevated rectification ratio(140)under 100%strain.The enhanced rectification effect enables applications in iontronics,such as ionic rectifiers and bipolar junction transistors(BJTs).This study,for the first time,highlights the potential of improving electrical performances of iontronics through the manipulation of different ion properties. 展开更多

Hydroxyapatite,an essential mineral in human bones composed mainly of calcium and phosphorus,is widely used to coat bone graft and implant surfaces for enhanced biocompatibility and bone formation.For a strong implant-bone bond,the bone-forming cells must not only adhere to the implant surface but also move to the surface requiring bone formation.However,strong adhesion tends to inhibit cell migration on the surface of hydroxyapatite.Herein,a cell migration highway pattern that can promote cell migration was prepared using a nanosecond laser on hydroxyapatite coating.The developed surface promoted bone-forming cell movement compared with the unpatterned hydroxyapatite surface,and the cell adhesion and movement speed could be controlled by adjusting the pattern width.Live-cell microscopy,cell tracking,and serum protein analysis revealed the fundamental principle of this phenomenon.These findings are applicable to hydroxyapatite-coated biomaterials and can be implemented easily by laser patterning without complicated processes.The cell migration highway can promote and control cell movement while maintaining the existing advantages of hydroxyapatite coatings.Furthermore,it can be applied to the surface treatment of not only implant materials directly bonded to bone but also various implanted biomaterials implanted that require cell movement control. 展开更多

Globally,cities undergoing economic and governance transformations have expe-rienced surging demand and ample challenges with regard to the competition for talent at all levels.While competition for talent takes shape in a wide range of political-economic settings,it remains unclear how talent policy can be rationalized and implemented in Chinese cities where migration is subject to various degrees of control.This paper unravels the framework,nature and ramifications of talent policy through the explication of Shanghai’s case,a China’s most economically via-ble,migrant-receiving city.We show that the city’s talent policy is manipulated by selectively inclusive politics that has a binary effect of enabling the expansion of entitlements to talented migrants while at the same time justifying the significance of migration control.We posit that such selectively inclusive politics is embedded in entrepreneurial urban governance that prioritizes economic imperatives over the rights of migrant citizenship.Talent policy animated in Shanghai is functionally analogous to national policies employed by many countries to regulate immigration and citizenship status. 展开更多
