An attempt has been made to improve the corrosion resistance of friction stir welded joints of 7075 aluminum alloys by micro-arc oxidation(MAO), and the effects of Na2Si O3 concentration in electrolyte on the corrosion resistance of the coatings were discussed. Morphology and phase constituents of the MAO coatings produced in electrolyte with different Na2SiO3 concentrations were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy, confocal laser scanning microscopy and X-ray diffraction. Electrochemical tests were conducted to evaluate the corrosion resistance of the coatings. The results show that the corrosion resistance of the coated joints is much better than that without the ceramic coating, and the ceramic coating produced in the electrolyte with Na2SiO3 concentration 20 g/L showed better corrosion resistance than the others. 展开更多

Micro sliding phenomenon widely exists in the operation process of mechanical systems,and the micro sliding friction mechanism is always a research hotspot.In this work,based on the total reflection method,a measuring device for interface contact behavior under two-dimensional(2D)vibration is built.The stress distribution is characterized by the light intensity distribution of the contact image,and the interface contact behavior in the 2D vibration process is studied.It is found that the vibration angle of the normal direction of the contact surface and its fluctuation affect the interface friction coefficient,the tangential stiffness,and the fluctuation amplitude of the stress distribution.Then they will affect the change of friction state and energy dissipation in the process of micro sliding.Further,an improved micro sliding friction model is proposed based on the experimental analysis,with the nonlinear change of contact parameters caused by the normal contact stress distribution fluctuation taken into account.This model considers the interface tangential stiffness fluctuation,friction coefficient hysteresis,and stress distribution fluctuation,whose simulation results are consistent well with the experimental results.It is found that considering the nonlinear effect of a certain contact parameter alone may bring a greater error to the prediction of friction behavior.Only by integrating multiple contact parameters can the accuracy of friction prediction is improved. 展开更多

The purpose of the current study is to explore the frictional behavior of a micro- sized superconducting fiber at the low-temperature condition. At first, a highly precise tribometer composed of a superconducting fiber wrapping around a cylinder made of pure Cu was immersed in liquid nitrogen. The force and displacement resolutions of the experimental system were as high as 0.01 mN and 0.03 ~m, respectively. The NbTi fibers with diameters ranging from 22.9 to 115 ~m were used in the experiments, and their frictional behaviors in three media, i.e., liquid nitrogen, air and water, were systemically investigated. It was found that the frictional force in air showed a remarkable size effect. The existence of water medium could significantly reduce the frictional force, but could not eliminate the size effect. For the samples with the same diameter, the frictional force in liquid nitrogen was about 1.4 times of that in air, accompanied with remark- able stick-slip phenomenon. Notably, the fiber's frictional behavior in liquid nitrogen showed no dependence on diameter. In order to interpret these phenomena, the frictional behaviors of the fibers in air, water and liquid nitrogen were simulated using a modified spring-slider model, by taking into account the influence of hydrophilicity on surface roughness, and the influence of surface roughness on the fiber's frictional behavior. By using the Fourier analysis technique and the corrective solution method, the nonlinear boundary problem is reduced to a set of algebraic equations. Numerical results exhibit the locations and extents of separation, slip, and stick zones, the interface tractions, and the energy partition. The effects of gap width, frictional coefficients, and the incident angle on the wave transmission are discussed in detail. The results show that higher harmonics are generated due to the local contact/slip at the interface. 展开更多

The effect of micro-pore defect on the axial shortening of joints during LFW was examined. The x- and y-direction displacements of micro-pore during the LFW process were also studied. In addition, the shape of micro-pore after LFW was observed. The heat conducted from the weld inteace to the specimen interior. The fluctuation range of the temperature curves for the joint with micro-pore is larger than that without micro-pore. Position of micro-pore changes with the change of the friction time. Ultrathin films composed of diazoresin(DR)and polyacrylic acid(PAA)were fabricated.The surface morphology of the films in water was measured using an atomic force microscopy(AFM).The self-assembly technique makes the surface rather flat and uniform.The friction force and its dependence on the velocity differ from the surface charge of the thin films.The friction force of repulsive DR/PAA film increases linearly with velocity and has lower values than that of attractive DR film over the full range of velocity.As the velocity increases,the attractive friction of DR film first decreases to a minimum at a velocity of 2 line/s and then increases all the way.When the surface is repulsive to the friction substrate,the friction of thin films that is determined by hydrated lubrication of polymer chains that is ultralubricated;when it is adhesive to the friction substrate,the friction is mainly contributed from the elastic deformation of adsorbed polymer chains in the low velocity region and from viscous sliding in the presence of hydrated-layer lubrication of the polymer chains in the higher velocity region. 展开更多

Friction coefficient and error test via micro-rotation mechanics model

An air pressure-loading mode incorporated into the friction apparatus is firstly applied to coatings tribology involving large load, automation, stepless and continuous loading processes. A novel measurement principle is proposed and a micro-rotation mechanics model was developed for high precision measurement of friction coefficient. By properly designing and locating two sensors real-time monitoring the normal and friction forces, the troublesome influences in friction measurement is considerably relieved which come from surface characteristics of coatings of the samples in traditional friction test processes. By calculation and analysis, the max rotation angle 0max = 0.0018°is gained, which indicates that the measurement error of the apparatus is greatly reduced. The whole system error is about 1.15% given by finite element method and indication error of the least square fitting of measurements. 展开更多

Effect of micro-dimple patterns on capillary pull-off force and friction force of silicon surface

A microtribometer is used to measure and compare pull-off forces and friction forces exerted on (a) micro-dimpled silicon surfaces, (b) bare silicon surfaces, and (c) octadecyltrichlorosilane (OTS) treated silicon surfaces at different relative humidity (RH) levels separately. It is found that above a critical RH level, the capillary pull-off force increases abruptly and that the micro-dimple textured surface has a lower critical RH value as well as a higher pull-off force value than the other two surfaces. A micro topography parameter, namely sidewall area ratio, is found to play a major role in controlling the capillary pull-off force. Furthermore, micro-dimpled silicon surface is also proved to be not sensitive to variation in RH level, and can realize a stable and decreased friction coefficient compared with un-textured silicon surfaces. The reservoir-like function of micro dimples is considered to weaken or avoid the breakage effect of liquid bridges at different RH levels, thereby maintaining a stable frictional behaviour. 展开更多

使用ABAQUS有限元软件建立了顺序热力耦合数值模型,对常规与无轴肩两种搅拌工具下的微型搅拌摩擦焊焊接过程的温度场、应力及接头残余变形分布进行对比分析,并采用实验热电偶测温对热源模型的边界条件进行了校核。结果表明:两种搅拌工... 使用ABAQUS有限元软件建立了顺序热力耦合数值模型,对常规与无轴肩两种搅拌工具下的微型搅拌摩擦焊焊接过程的温度场、应力及接头残余变形分布进行对比分析,并采用实验热电偶测温对热源模型的边界条件进行了校核。结果表明:两种搅拌工具下的焊接接头经历不同的加热和冷却焊接热循环,实测常规工具焊接接头的峰值温度约为362℃,而无轴肩工具焊接接头的峰值温度仅为143℃;焊件表面的残余应力均以焊缝中心对称分布,常规工具残余应力主要分布在轴肩区域,最大残余应力为116 MPa。无轴肩工具残余应力呈现以搅拌针为中心的尖峰分布,最大残余应力为34 MPa;残余应力反映了焊后变形,常规工具焊接的薄板沿焊缝方向向上凸起,最大挠度为2.817 mm。无轴肩工具焊接的薄板没有可视变形,最大挠度仅0.0081 mm。无轴肩微型搅拌摩擦焊热输入低,能有效减小薄壁焊件的残余变形,提高焊件的尺寸精度和装配质量。 展开更多

微型搅拌摩擦焊(Micro Friction Stir Welding,μFSW)焊接过程中,由于搅拌工具尺寸的急剧减小造成产热不足及塑性金属流动差,导致表面成形不良以及内部孔洞、隧道等缺陷,因此搅拌工具的轴肩增加螺线结构来增强塑性金属的流动性被广泛采... 微型搅拌摩擦焊(Micro Friction Stir Welding,μFSW)焊接过程中,由于搅拌工具尺寸的急剧减小造成产热不足及塑性金属流动差,导致表面成形不良以及内部孔洞、隧道等缺陷,因此搅拌工具的轴肩增加螺线结构来增强塑性金属的流动性被广泛采用。轴肩形貌的内凹提供了塑性金属流动空间,而工具与材料接触面积的增加也可提高摩擦产热。鉴于此,设计了轴肩形貌三螺旋线形貌(Ⅰ型)与内凹加三螺旋线(Ⅱ型)的两种搅拌工具,对板厚为0.5 mm的7075-T6铝合金进行超薄板搅拌摩擦焊对比试验,通过对焊接过程中的温度、横向力以及轴向力电信号的采集、焊接接头微观金相组织的观察及力学性能的测试分析,Ⅱ型相比于Ⅰ型工具焊接过程的峰值温度高出6%、塑性金属的流动行为由水平流动转变为内敛向上的空间流动、接头力学性能的抗拉强度提高11%,屈服强度提高2%,断后延伸率提高19.2%。试验表明,轴肩形貌采用内凹加三螺旋线有助于增加焊接过程的产热、促进塑性金属的流动及提高接头的力学性能。 展开更多

微弧预氧化对Ti6Al4V钛合金低温等离子体氮化层耐磨耐蚀性的影响

为了提高Ti6Al4V(TC4)钛合金的耐磨性与耐蚀性,采用微弧氧化(MAO)、低温等离子体氮化(PN)和微弧氧化后等离子体氮化(MAO-PN)的工艺分别对TC4钛合金进行表面改性,然后采用扫描电子显微镜、摩擦磨损实验机与电化学工作站研究了基体与3种... 为了提高Ti6Al4V(TC4)钛合金的耐磨性与耐蚀性,采用微弧氧化(MAO)、低温等离子体氮化(PN)和微弧氧化后等离子体氮化(MAO-PN)的工艺分别对TC4钛合金进行表面改性,然后采用扫描电子显微镜、摩擦磨损实验机与电化学工作站研究了基体与3种工艺改性后样品的显微形貌、摩擦与耐蚀性能。结果表明:MAO与MAO-PN样品以金红石型TiO_(2)和锐钛矿型TiO_(2)相为主。PN样品的显微硬度为(602±10) HV_(0.05),MAO-PN样品的显微硬度为(1 232±20) HV_(0.05),显著高于TC4钛合金基体的显微硬度(352±5) HV_(0.05)。在大气环境中,相比TC4钛合金基体,MAO与MAO-PN样品的磨损率由1.48×10^(-3)mm^(3)/(N·m)分别降至5.54×10^(-4)mm^(3)/(N·m)与3.64×10^(-4)mm^(3)/(N·m)。在盐酸溶液的润滑下,相比TC4钛合金基体,MAO与MAO-PN样品的摩擦系数由0.35分别降至0.25与0.18,磨损率由3.62×10^(-4)mm^(3)/(N·m)分别大幅度降至3.50×10^(-6)mm^(3)/(N·m)与1.57×10^(-6)mm^(3)/(N·m),这表明微弧预氧化能够大幅度提高等离子体氮化层的耐磨性。在盐酸溶液中,MAO和MAO-PN样品的磨损机制为磨粒磨损,在大气环境与盐酸溶液润滑条件下,TC4钛合金和PN样品的磨损机制为黏着磨损。MAO-PN复合改性层在盐酸溶液中具有较低的腐蚀电流密度(0.015μA/cm^(2))以及较高的阻抗值(9.90×10^(5)Ω·cm^(2)),说明微弧预氧化工艺能显著提高钛合金等离子体氮化层的耐蚀性。 展开更多

微织构对大规格链条销轴-套筒副摩擦学性能的影响研究

表面微织构技术是一种有效改善摩擦副工作性能的有效方法。但是,当前针对微织构化表面摩擦学性能的研究大多在稳定转动或移动工况下开展,表面微织构对链条销轴-套筒副为代表的往复转动摩擦副的影响效果及机理研究还有待深入。文章通过... 表面微织构技术是一种有效改善摩擦副工作性能的有效方法。但是,当前针对微织构化表面摩擦学性能的研究大多在稳定转动或移动工况下开展,表面微织构对链条销轴-套筒副为代表的往复转动摩擦副的影响效果及机理研究还有待深入。文章通过在销轴表面与套筒内壁设计制备不同类型和参数的微织构,对比研究了微织构形状、尺寸、面积率及分布位置对往复转动销轴-套筒副摩擦学性能的影响。试验结果表明,相比于凹坑与网纹微织构,相同参数的直槽微织构在销轴表面与套筒内壁均表现出了更显著的减摩效果。分析认为,直槽微织构有助于润滑油浸入与磨屑排出,改善接触界面的润滑状态,从而有效降低摩擦。微织构尺寸和面积率是影响直槽微织构摩擦学性能的重要参数。在研究范围内,宽度为2mm、面积率为27%的直槽微织构性能最优,销轴-套筒副稳定摩擦因数约为0.102,仅为无织构条件下的75%,销轴表面磨损形貌较为平整,消除了局部严重磨损。研究表明,微织构可以显著影响往复运动摩擦副的工作性能,通过微织构参数的合理设计可以实现减摩与抗磨双重优化,研究结果为链条销轴-套筒副等往复转动摩擦副的设计提供了理论依据与试验参考。 展开更多

激光合金化制备Ti-Cu合金层及其性能研究

由于普通钛合金在高温、高压和高速气流下服役时,局部区域容易温度升高而燃烧并迅速扩散蔓延,引发“钛火”故障,极大地制约了其在航空发动机领域的应用。本文采用激光合金化技术在Ti6Al4V钛合金表面制备Ti-Cu阻燃合金层,防止“钛火”事... 由于普通钛合金在高温、高压和高速气流下服役时,局部区域容易温度升高而燃烧并迅速扩散蔓延,引发“钛火”故障,极大地制约了其在航空发动机领域的应用。本文采用激光合金化技术在Ti6Al4V钛合金表面制备Ti-Cu阻燃合金层,防止“钛火”事故的发生。通过光学显微镜和扫描电镜对合金化层组织进行分析,并用维氏显微硬度计对合金化层硬度进行分析,最后借助高温摩擦磨损试验机研究其阻燃性能。通过激光合金化技术在钛合金表面可形成连续致密的合金化层,合金层厚度约为220μm;形成的Ti-Cu合金化层的硬度呈梯度变化,其的最高硬度值可达616HV,是Ti6Al4V钛合金基体硬度的1.61倍;600℃高温条件下,Ti6Al4V钛合金基体的平均摩擦系数为0.47,Ti-Cu合金层平均摩擦系数为0.46,两者大小基本相同;600℃高温条件下,Ti6Al4V钛合金基体和Ti-Cu合金层两种材料的主要磨损机制均是以粘着磨损和磨粒磨损为主要形式;Ti6Al4V钛合金基体磨痕宽度是Ti-Cu激光合金层的2.14倍,Ti6Al4V钛合金基体的磨损体积和比磨损率为Ti-Cu激光合金层的5.5倍。 展开更多

矩形栅格结构航空齿轮润滑性能及机制研究

为提高钛合金TC基航空齿轮摩擦学性能,借鉴蝴蝶翅膀表面微纳结构在航空齿轮表面设计矩形微米栅格结构。利用激光烧结栅格微结构钛基航空齿轮试样TC-A,并将复合固体润滑剂SnAgCu-CaF_(2)(SC)高温溶渗于微栅格中,构建微纳米栅格结构齿轮试... 为提高钛合金TC基航空齿轮摩擦学性能,借鉴蝴蝶翅膀表面微纳结构在航空齿轮表面设计矩形微米栅格结构。利用激光烧结栅格微结构钛基航空齿轮试样TC-A,并将复合固体润滑剂SnAgCu-CaF_(2)(SC)高温溶渗于微栅格中,构建微纳米栅格结构齿轮试样TCSC-A。摩擦测试结果表明:与钛合金TC相比,微纳米栅格结构试样TCSC-A摩擦学性能更为优异;在TCSC-A试样中,长400μm、宽300μm微纳米栅格结构的TCSC-A-3试样的摩擦因数与磨损率最小,这可能是因为储存在矩形栅格中的SC产生塑性变形并被不断挤出,在磨痕表面铺展与延伸,形成富含SC的固体润滑层。在润滑层中的CaF_(2)包裹在SnAgCu中,增强了其在摩擦表面的塑性流动,从而可均匀地铺展并填充在微坑与裂纹中,提高了齿轮表面抵抗摩擦损伤功能,也提升了摩擦界面的自愈合能力。TCSC-A-3摩擦因数约为0.25,磨损率约为1.0×10^(-4)mm^(3)/(N·m),能够满足钛基航空齿轮工业润滑需求。 展开更多

Micro-arc oxidation(MAO)coating was prepared on Ti6Al4V alloy surface and its characterizations were detected by Vickers hardness tester,profilometer,scanning electric microscope(SEM),energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer(EDX)and X-ray diffractometer(XRD).Fretting wear behaviors of the coating and its substrate were comparatively tested without lubrication under varied displacement amplitudes(D)in a range of 3-40μm,constant normal load(Fn)of 300 N and frequency of 5 Hz.The results showed that the MAO coating,presenting rough and porous surface and high hardness,mainly consisted of rutile and anatase TiO2 phases.Compared with the substrate,the MAO coating could shift the mixed fretting regime(MFR)and slip regime(SR)to a direction of smaller displacement amplitude.In the partial slip regime(PSR),lower friction coefficients and slight damage appeared due to the coordination of elastic deformation of contact zones.In the MFR,the friction coefficient of the coating was lower than that of the substrate as a result of the prevention of plastic deformation by the hard ceramic surface.With the increase of the displacement amplitude,the degradation of the MAO coating and the substrate increased extremely.The fretting wear mechanisms of the coating were abrasive wear and delamination with some material transfer of specimen.In addition,the coating presented a better property for alleviating fretting wear. 展开更多
