A unitized regenerative fuel cell(URFC)is a device that may function reversibly as either a fuel cell(FC)or water elec-trolysis(WE).An important component of this device is the Membrane electrode assembly(MEA).Therefo...A unitized regenerative fuel cell(URFC)is a device that may function reversibly as either a fuel cell(FC)or water elec-trolysis(WE).An important component of this device is the Membrane electrode assembly(MEA).Therefore,this study aimed to compare the performance outcomes of MEA using electrodes with single and three catalyst layers.This study measured Electrochemical Surface Area(ECSA),Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy(EIS),X-ray Diffraction analysis(XRD),and X-ray Fluorescence(XRF).Furthermore,the round-trip efficiency(RTE)of the MEA,as w ell as the performance in FC and WE mode,was measured.In comparison,The ECSA values of Pt-Ru/C and Pt/C with three catalyst layers were higher than the single catalyst layer.This result was supported by electrode characterization data for XRD and XRF.The respective electrical conductivity values of Pt-Ru/C and Pt/C with three catalyst layers are also higher than the single cata-lyst layer,and the performance of URFC using MEA with three catalyst layers has the highest value of RTE among the MEA performances of URFC,which is 100%at a current density of 4 mA·cm-2.展开更多
Precast concrete pavements(PCPs)represent an innovative solution in the construction industry,addressing the need for rapid,intelligent,and low-carbon pavement technologies that significantly reduce construction time ...Precast concrete pavements(PCPs)represent an innovative solution in the construction industry,addressing the need for rapid,intelligent,and low-carbon pavement technologies that significantly reduce construction time and environmental impact.However,the integration of prefabricated technology in pavement surface and base layers lacks systematic classification and understanding.This paper aims to fill this gap by introducing a detailed analysis of discretization and assembly connection technology for cement concrete pavement(CCP)structures.Through a comprehensive review of domestic and international literature,the study classifies prefabricated pavement technology based on discrete assembly structural layers and presents specific conclusions(i)surface layer discrete units are categorized into bottom plates,top plates,plate-rod separated assemblies,and prestressed connections,with optimal material compositions identified to enhance mechanical properties;(ii)base layer discrete units include block-type,plate-type,and beam-type elements,highlighting their contributions to sustainability by incorporating recycled materials(iii)planar assembly connection types are assessed,ranking them by load transfer efficiency,with specific dimensions provided for optimal performance;and(iv)vertical assembly connections are defined by their leveling and sealing layers,suitable for both new constructions and repairs of existing roads.The insights gained from this review not only clarify the distinctions between various structural layers but also provide practical guidelines for enhancing the design and implementation of PCP.This work contributes to advancing sustainable and resilient road construction practices,making it a significant reference for researchers and practitioners in the field.展开更多

Ammonia-oxidizing archaea(AOA)are important in converting ammonia into nitrate in soils.While many aspects of their community structure have been studied,the relative importance of stochastic versus deterministic proc...Ammonia-oxidizing archaea(AOA)are important in converting ammonia into nitrate in soils.While many aspects of their community structure have been studied,the relative importance of stochastic versus deterministic processes has poorly been understood.We compared AOA communities across the North China Plain,targeting the amoA gene.A phylogenetic null modelling approach was used to calculate the beta nearest taxon index to quantify the influence of stochastic and deterministic processes.We found that spatial distance between samples predicted the perceived processes involved in community structuring,with stochastic processes dominating at local scales.At greater distances,stochasticity became weaker.However,soil pH,which was also the strongest determinant of AOA community,was a much stronger predictor of community structuring,leaving the distance effect redundant as an explanation of community structuring processes.The communities of AOA differing by less than 1 pH unit differed mainly stochastically in terms of operational taxonomic unit composition.At larger pH differences,deterministic processes based on heterogeneous selection between clades became increasingly dominant.It appears that AOA community composition is largely determined by the environment.However,very similar pH environments are the exception.In environments with very close pH values,stochastic effects dominantly cause differences in community composition,whether spatially near or far.展开更多
