In this work, the effect of aluminium heat sink and varying cooling medium on the laser welding of duplex stainless steel (DSS) 2205 is studied. Based on the plane-wave spectrum theory, the relationship between the Hertz potential and the electromagnetic field is discussed. An approach to the description of the field distribution in the layer mediums in case of an arbitary field source is proposed. Given the focusing current distribution over the antenna aperture, the field distribution of the focal region is worked out. In describing the field distribution over the focal region, the integration of spectrum functions in the spectrum domain (kx,ky) is carried out instead of the complicated Fresnel integral. The approximations are obtained by the saddle-point integration. Comparison with experimental results demonstrates the validity of the approach.展开更多

Comparison with experimental results demonstrates the validity of the approach.

文摘The O_(2)-CaO jet with shrouding combustion flame demonstrates some advantages in quick melting and effective slag foaming by delivering lime powder deeply into the molten bath.Combining the discrete particle model and the eddy dissipation concept model with the detailed chemical kinetic mechanisms(GRI-Mech 3.0),computational fluid dynamics models of the O_(2)-CaO jet with different shrouding fuel mediums injection were developed.Firstly, the results of the numerical simulation were validated by the measured data of cold test for O_(2)-CaO injection. Then, the interaction between the particles and the gas jet of the O_(2)-CaO jet and the effect of shrouding fuel medium species on the fluid flow characteristics of the O_(2)-CaO jet were analyzed. Results show that the CaO particles can be effectively heated by the shrouding high-temperature combustion flame and compared with the O_(2)-CaO jet without shrouding gas,the potential core length was increased about 2.5,3.3 and 4.3 times by the shrouding flame generated from CO,CH_(4) and C_(3)H_(8).And with shrouding CH_(4) and C_(3)H_(8) injection, the CaO particles can be clustered together in a long distance, which would be helpful to improve the utilization efficiency of CaO particles.

文摘Large amounts of data regarding the influence of temperature and pressure on the thermal stability of crude oil have been pub-lished;however,the role of reservoir mediums has received little attention.Experiments involving oil cracking in the presence of montmorillonite, illite, calcite, quartz and water were conducted in closed gold tubes to investigate the effects of these reservoir mediums on oil destruction. This was done by screening variations in the chemical and stable carbon isotopic components of nC10+and gasoline-range hydrocarbons(nC8-)present in various systems. Results indicated that reservoir mediums have an active role in oil cracking under experimental conditions. The concentrations of nC10+in the cracked residues progressively decreased in systems containing oil+water+illite, oil+water+montmorillonite, oil+water, oil+water+quartz and oil+water+calcite. In comparison with the system containing oil+water, our results indicated a retardation effect for oil cracking in systems in the presence of illite and montmorillonite, and an acceleration effect on oil destruction in systems in the presence of calcite and quartz.nC10+became increasingly depleted in 13C in systems with oil+water+illite, oil+water+calcite, oil+water+montmorillonite, oil+water+quartz and oil+water. No obvious correlation was observed between concentrations and stable carbon isotopic components of nC6-nC8 and nC10+in the individual systems. The discrepancies in chemical and stable carbon isotopic components of nC6-nC8 and nC10+in the pyrolyzed residues highlighted the important role of reservoir mediums to control carbon-carbon cleavage of nC10+and then the isomerization, cyclolization and aromatization reactions;as well as governing the occurrence and thermal destruction of nC6-nC8 under experimental conditions. This research may have critical implications in reconstructing chemical kinetic models for natural oil cracking.

文摘The continuous mediums are divided into two kinds according to their geometrical configurations, the first one is related to Euclidian manifolds and the other one to Riemannian manifolds/surfaces in the point of view of the modern geometry. Two kinds of finite deformation theories with respect to Euclidian and Riemannian manifolds have been developed in the present paper. Both kinds of theories include the definitions of initial and current physical and parametric configurations, deformation gradient tensors with properties, deformation descriptions, transport theories and governing equations of nature conservation laws. The essential property of the theory with respect to Euclidian manifolds is that the curvilinear coordinates corresponding to the current physical configurations include time explicitly through which the geometrically irregular and time varying physical configurations can be mapped in the diffeomorphism manner to the regular and fixed domains in the parametric space. It is quite essential to the study of the relationships between geometries and mechanics. The theory with respect to Riemannian manifolds provides the systemic ideas and methods to study the deformations of continuous mediums whose geometrical configurations can be considered as general surfaces. The essential property of the theory with respect to Riemannian manifolds is that the thickness variation of a patch of continuous medium is represented by the surface density and its governing equation is rigorously deduced. As some applications, wakes of cylinders with deformable boundaries on the plane, incompressible wakes of a circular cylinder on fixed surfaces and axisymmetric finite deformations of an elastic membrane are numerically studied.

文摘In complex media scattering, multiple scattering severely degrades the optical wavefront and results in blurred images, while the spectral distortion caused by the scattering effect leads to severe color distortion.Achieving color high-resolution imaging through scattering media remains a significant challenge. Here,we propose a broadband,polarization-based method for color high-resolution imaging through scattering media. This approach enables high-resolution reconstruction by effectively separating the speckle illumination pattern from the mixed-scattering field information, leveraging polarization common-mode characteristics.Concurrently,it incorporates chromatic balance compensation to correct spectral aliasing in the scattered light field, enabling color high-resolution imaging through complex scattering media. To further optimize color distortion caused by scattering,a compensation strategy combining color constancy and white balance theory is adopted.Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method significantly enhances both spatial resolution and color fidelity across various scattering conditions and target materials, showcasing strong adaptability and robustness. This approach provides an effective solution for achieving high-resolution color optical imaging in complex scattering environments.

文摘High-entropy oxides(HEOs)derive their exceptional properties from the atomic-level homogenization of multiple constituent elements within the crystal lattice, which induces a sophisticated local environment that fundamentally reconfigures electron density distributions and coordination environment at active sites. However, the mechanisms by which multi-component systems in HEOs precisely regulate high-activity catalytic sites remain poorly understood. This work addresses this gap by designing medium-entropy perovskite oxides through the strategic incorporation of transition metals with distinct electronegativities and ionic radii, aiming to unravel how local environmental modifications impact the energy band location, coordination states, and adsorption behavior of the Co site.A family of A_(2)BO_(4)-type medium-entropy oxides PrSr(Fe_(0.2)Co_(0.2)Ni_(0.2)Cu_(0.2)M_(0.2))O_(4)(M=Sc,Cr,Mn)was successfully synthesized.Divergent atomic properties among Sc,Cr,and Mn(electronegativity, ionic size, and metal-oxygen bond strength)triggered pronounced electron redistribution, effectively tuning the d-band center of Co.Remarkably,Cr substitution significantly enhanced O_(2) adsorption at Co-active sites,as indicated by an elongated O-O bond length(1.234Å→1.279Å).Concurrently,Cr doping destabilized the M'-O-Cr bonds(M'=Fe,Co,Ni,Cu)and lowered the thermodynamic barrier for oxygen vacancy formation.Electrochemical tests revealed that PrSr(Fe_(0.2)Co_(0.2)Ni_(0.2)Cu_(0.2)Cr_(0.2))O_(4)(PSMO-Cr)exhibited the highest electrical conductivity and fastest oxygen surface exchange kinetics. At 700℃,the area-specific resistance(ASR)of the PSMO-Cr cathode was 0.07Ωcm^(2).Corresponding fuel cells achieved a maximum power density of 0.76 W cm^(-2).In electrolysis mode, the maximum current density reached 0.56 A cm^(-2) under 1.3 V at 700℃using PSMO-Cr as the anode. These results demonstrate that PSMO-Cr is a promising bifunctional catalyst for energy conversion applications.
文摘Currently, researchers worldwide are conducting theoretical and experimental studies to understand the significance of nanofluids in heat transfer processes. These fluids are created by dispersing nanoparticles in a base fluid.Experiments have demonstrated that nanofluids exhibit superior and more attractive thermal properties compared to conventional fluids. In this current study,we discuss about the heat transfer enhancement of unsteady incompressible laminar couple stress nanofluid flow with Magnetohydrodynamics(MHD)between parallel plates.Prescribed temperature boundary conditions of the surface are employed on the porous surface and it is assumed that the temperature changes periodically over time on the plates. The flow is provoked by periodic suction as well as injection at the plates. With the aid of similarity variables, the system of governing transport equations is transformed into a nonlinear system of ordinary differential equations which is subsequently solved using shooting method along with Runge-Kutta fourth order scheme. The obtained results are shown graphically and explained for the non-dimensional velocity, heat profiles with diverse fluid parameters as well as geometric parameters.Nusselt number is calculated at the lower and upper plates. It is found that temperature component of the fluid is augmenting with suction-injection parameter, whereas it is decreasing in nature with respect to Reynolds number.

文摘This paper deals with homogeneous Dirichlet boundary value problem to a class of porous medium equations with viscoelastic term ∂u/∂t-Δu^(m)+∫^(t)_(0)g(t-s)Δu^(m)(x,s)ds=u^(p),x∈Ω,t≥0,where p>m(m>0).We prove that the weak solutions of the above problem blow up in finite time when the initial energy is positive and the function g satisfies suitable conditions. Our result generalizes that of S.A.Messaoudi in[1].

文摘The present investigation inspects the unsteady, incompressible MHD-induced flow of a ternary hybrid nanofluid made of SiO_(2)(silicon dioxide),ZnO(zinc oxide),and MWCNT(multi-walled carbon nanotubes)suspended in a water-ethylene glycol base fluid between two perforated squeezing Riga plates. This problem is important because it helps us understand the complicated connections between magnetic fields, nanofluid dynamics, and heat transport, all of which are critical for designing thermal management systems. These findings are especially useful for improving the design of innovative cooling technologies in electronics, energy systems, and healthcare applications. No prior study has been done on the theoretical study of the flow of ternary nanofluid(SiO_(2)+ZnO+MWCNT/Water−EthylGl ycol,(60∶40))past a pierced squeezed Riga plates using the boundary value problem solver 4th-order collocation(BVP4C)numerical approach to date. So,the current work has been carried out to fill this gap,and the core purpose of this study is to explore the aspects that enhance the heat transfer of base fluids(H_(2)O/EG)suspended with three nanomaterials SiO_(2),ZnO,and MWCNT.The Riga plates introduce electromagnetic forcing through an embedded array of magnets and electrodes, generating Lorentz forces to regulate the flow. The squeezing effect introduces dynamic boundary movement, which enhances mixing;however, permeability, due to porosity, replicates the true material limits.Similarity transformations of the Navier-Stokes and energy equations result in a highly nonlinear set of ordinary differential equations that govern momentum and thermal energy transport. The subsequent boundary value problem is solved utilizing the BVP4C numerical approach. The study observes the impact of magnetic parameters, squeezing velocity, solid volume percentages of the three nanoparticles, and porous medium factors on velocity and temperature fields. Results show that magnetic fields reduce the velocity profile by 6.75%due to increased squeezing and medium effects.Tri-hybrid nanofluids notice a 9%rise in temperature with higher thermal radiation.

文摘Astrocytes have important neurosupportive functions in the brain that are altered in neurodegenerative diseases by unresolved mechanisms. We showed previously that astrocytes cultured from mice transgenic for human P301S-tau(P301S-mice)recapitulate the deficit in production and secretion of thrombospondin1 found in symptomatic P301S mouse brains, causing both reduced synapse formation and survival of cultured neurons. To further characterize how P301S-derived astrocytes differ from controls,we have compared the astrocyte-conditioned media of cultured astrocytes from postnatal day 7/8 P301S mice(P301S-astrocyte-conditioned media)versus controls(C57-astrocyte-conditioned media)using label-free liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry. We verified that thrombospondin1 secretion was significantly reduced in the P301S-astrocyte-conditioned media versus C57-astrocyte-conditioned media, demonstrating the robustness of the analysis. The most notable distinction was that~57%of the P301S-astrocyte-conditioned media-enriched proteins were cytoplasmic proteins linked to cellular metabolism that are not predicted to be secreted via classical or non-classical secretion pathways,whereas~88%of C57-astrocyte-conditioned media-enriched proteins comprised classically secreted proteins enriched in extracellular matrix components. These differences are associated with the finding that P301S-derived cultured astrocytes were smaller and in vivo appeared less mature in the cortex of P301S mice. The unconventional secretion pathway that P301S-astrocyte-conditioned media display shares similarities with several amyloid-β-exposed astrocyte-conditioned media, indicating that stimuli induced by tau and amyloid-βmay induce a common adverse response pathway.Altogether, members of this adverse pathway may serve as a potential set of biomarkers to aid the clinical diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease and other tauopathies, while the list of reduced neurosupportive factors could indicate new approaches to enhance neuronal survival by factor supplementation in tauopathies.

文摘Previous research has demonstrated the feasibility of repairing nerve defects through acellular allogeneic nerve grafting with bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells. However, adult tissue–derived mesenchymal stem cells encounter various obstacles, including limited tissue sources, invasive acquisition methods, cellular heterogeneity, purification challenges, cellular senescence, and diminished pluripotency and proliferation over successive passages. In this study,we used induced pluripotent stem cell-derived mesenchymal stem cells, known for their self-renewal capacity, multilineage differentiation potential, and immunomodulatory characteristics. We used induced pluripotent stem cell-derived mesenchymal stem cells in conjunction with acellular nerve allografts to address a 10 mm-long defect in a rat model of sciatic nerve injury. Our findings reveal that induced pluripotent stem cell-derived mesenchymal stem cells exhibit survival for up to 17 days in a rat model of peripheral nerve injury with acellular nerve allograft transplantation.Furthermore, the combination of acellular nerve allograft and induced pluripotent stem cell-derived mesenchymal stem cells significantly accelerates the regeneration of injured axons and improves behavioral function recovery in rats.Additionally, our in vivo and in vitro experiments indicate that induced pluripotent stem cell-derived mesenchymal stem cells play a pivotal role in promoting neovascularization.Collectively, our results suggest the potential of acellular nerve allografts with induced pluripotent stem cell-derived mesenchymal stem cells to augment nerve regeneration in rats, offering promising therapeutic strategies for clinical translation.
