The MFP technology and...The spatial matrix filter was designed and used for solving the problem to detect a weak target who was influenced by the strong nearby platform noise interference of the towed line array sonar. The MFP technology and the DOA estimation technology were combined together by using the sound propagation characteristics of both target and interference. The spatial matrix filter with platform noise zero response constraint was designed by the near-field platform noise normal modes copy vectors and the far-field plane wave bearing vectors together. The optimal solution of the optimization problem for designing the spatial matrix filter was deduced directly, and it was simplified by the generalized singular value decomposition. The total response error to the plane wave bearing vectors and the total response to the platform noise copy vectors were given. The phenomena that strong interferences existed in the bearing course and blind areas existed after filtering were analyzed by the correlation between the plat- form noise copy vectors and the plane wave bearing vectors. It could be found from simulations that it has less blind area and higher detection ability by using the spatial matrix filtering technology.展开更多

Currently, due to the detrimental effects on surface finish and machining system, chatter has been one crucial factor restricting robotic drilling operations, which improve both quality and efficiency of aviation manu...Currently, due to the detrimental effects on surface finish and machining system, chatter has been one crucial factor restricting robotic drilling operations, which improve both quality and efficiency of aviation manufacturing. Based on the matrix notch filter and fast wavelet packet decomposition, this paper presents a novel pre-generated matrix-based real-time chatter monitoring method for robotic drilling. Taking vibration characteristics of robotic drilling into account, the matrix notch filter is designed to eliminate the interference of spindle-related components on the measured vibration signal. Then, the fast wavelet packet decomposition is presented to decompose the filtered signal into several equidistant frequency bands, and the energy of each sub-band is obtained. Finally, the energy entropy which characterizes inhomogeneity of energy distribution is utilized as the feature to recognize chatter on-line, and the effectiveness of the presented algorithm is validated by extensive experimental data. The results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively detect chatter before it is fully developed. Moreover, since both filtering and decomposition of signal are implemented by the pre-generated matrices, calculation for an energy entropy of vibration signal with 512 samples takes only about 0.690 ms. Consequently, the proposed method achieves real-time chatter monitoring for robotic drilling, which is essential for subsequent chatter suppression.展开更多

This has impacted significantly upon the performance required from the microwave equipment that comprises these systems. In the case of microwave filters, greater in-band linearity to avoid signal distortion and out-of-band isolation to suppress interference are routinely specified, which can only be satisfied by advanced filtering characteristics. This article presents the coupling matrix approach to the synthesis of prototype filter networks, enabling the realization of the hardware embodying the enhanced performance needed by today’s high capacity systems.展开更多

This technique allows us to get eight presumptions of filter circuits. Secondly, we present a novel architecture circuit of CCII, which can operate at low supply voltage of ±0.75 V. All simulations are performed by TSPICE models. The simulation results show that this circuit has a low impedance at terminal X(R X=1.01 Ω), a very high input impedance at terminal Y, and wide bandwidth current and voltage. The center frequency of the proposed filter is variable on the interval [157 k Hz, 196 MHz].展开更多

Three classes of typical state constraints, i.e., linear equality, quadratic equality and inequality, are discussed. By using the linear relationships among different state variables, a reduced-order Kalman filter is derived for the system with linear equality constraints. Afterwards, such a solution is applied to the cases of the quadratic equality constraint and inequality constraints and the two constrained state filtering problems are transformed into two relative constrained optimization problems. Then they are solved by the Lagrangian multiplier and linear matrix inequality techniques, respectively. Finally, two simple tracking examples are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the reduced-order filters.展开更多

The parameter uncertainty is assumed to be time-varying norm-bounded. The aim is to design an asymptotically stable filter, using the locally sampled measurements, which ensures both the robust asymptotic stability and a prescribed level of H-infinity performance for the filtering error dynamics for all admissible uncertainties. The derivation process is simplified by introducing auxiliary systems and the sufficient condition for the existence of such a filter is proposed. During the study, the main results were expressed as LMIs by employing various matrix techniques. Using LMI toolbox of Matlab software, it is very convenient to obtain the appropriate filter. Finally, a numerical example shows that the method is effective and feasible.展开更多

The characteristic matrix ( transfer function) of AOTF is used to describe quantitatively the characters of polarization elements in the orthogonal polarizing system. According to the characteristic matrix, the included angle of polarizer's transmission direction and polarization analyzer's transmission direction should be 90°. As a result the signal to noise ratio increased about 20 times though the light intensity was reduced to 54.3%,because both the transmittances of polarizer and polarization analyzer are 0. 74, which is an intrinsic character. The orthogonal polarizing method is an effective method to get rid of the influence of zero order light and improve the spectrum resolution and signal-to-noise ratio.展开更多

In this paper, we propose the L-priorities Bloom filter (LPBF) as a new member of the Bloom filter (BF) family, it uses a limited multidimensional bit space matrix to replace the bit vector of standard bloom filters in order to support different priorities for the elements of a set. We demonstrate the time and space complexity, especially the false positive rate of LPBF. Furthermore, we also present a detailed practical evaluation of the false positive rate achieved by LPBF. The results show that LPBF performs better than standard BFs with respect to false positive rate.展开更多

Upon the improved performance criterion, a sufficient condition for the existence of parameter-dependent H∞ filtering is derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities. The designed filter can be obtained from the solution of a convex optimization problem. The filter design makes full use of the parameter-dependent approach, which leads to a less conservative result than conventional design methods. Then, an LMI sufficient condition for the existence of a robust filter is established and a design procedure is proposed for this type of systems. Two numerical examples are given. To solve this problem, a multi-layer track fusion algorithm based on supporting degree matrix is proposed. Combined with the track fusion algorithm based on filtering step by step, it uses multi-sensor observations to establish supporting degree matrix and realize multi-layer fusion. Simulation results show its estimation precision is higher than the original algorithm and is increased by 20% around. Therefore, it solves the problem of target tracking further in the distributed track fusion system.展开更多
