文摘To evaluate the dynamic interactions between debris flows, entrained material sources, and infrastructure in the Naojiao Gully watershed of Beijing, and to develop a predictive framework for mitigating geohazard risks through energy-based strategies, debris flow dynamics are investigated,a coupled SPH-DEM-FEM multiscale model integrating fluid dynamics(SPH),granular mechanics(DEM),and structural mechanics(FEM)is developed to simulate debris flow propagation, material source behavior, and frame structure responses, and to capture cross-scale failure mechanisms.Key findings include the identification of a critical flow velocity threshold of 12 m/s,beyond which solid-phase kinetic energy dominates, inducing 60%-75%capacity loss in central columns via through-cracking.Furthermore,a novel compound failure criterion is proposed based on the solid-liquid energy proportion. The model achieves a boulder impact force prediction error of only 5.47%,significantly outperforming empirical methods in cross-scale accuracy. An optimized 0.3 m layered configuration experimentally reduces impact pulse peaks by 57%through directed energy redistribution, thereby shifting mitigation strategies from structural reinforcement to media modulation. These results establish a robust framework for quantifying failure thresholds, enhancing predictive precision, and innovating energy-based mitigation.By bridging multiscale modeling gaps in geohazard analysis, this study provides actionable insights for infrastructure resilience in debris flow-prone regions through energycentric design principles.

文摘As the second most important solid waste produced by coal-fired power plants, the improper management of coal-fired slag has the potential to result in environmental pollution. It is therefore imperative that high-value utilization pathways for coal-fired slag should be developed. In this study, modified magnesium slag(MMS),produced by a magnesium smelter, was selected as the alkali activator. The activated silica-aluminum solid wastes, namely coal-fired slag(CFS)and mineral powder(MP),were employed as pozzolanic materials in the preparation of alkali-activated cementitious materials. The alkali-activated cementitious materials prepared with 50 wt%MMS,40 wt%CFS and 10 wt%MP exhibited favorable mechanical properties, with a compressive strength of 32.804 MPa in the paste sample cured for 28 d.Then, the activated silica-aluminum solid waste consisting of CFS-MP generated a significant amount of C-S(A)-H gels,AFt,and other products, which were observed to occupy the pore structure of the specimen. In addition, the secondary hydration reaction of CFS-MP occurs in high alkalinity environments, resulting in the formation of a mutually stimulated and promoted reaction system between CFS-MP and MMS,this will subsequently accelerate the hydrolysis reaction of MMS.It is important to emphasize that the amount of MMS in alkali-activated cementitious materials must be strictly regulated to avert the potential issue of incomplete depolymerization-repolymerization of active silica-aluminum solid waste containing CFS-MP.This in turn could have a deleterious impact on the late strength of the cementitious materials. The aim of this work is to improve the joint disposal of MMS,CFS and MP and thereby provide a scientific basis for the development of environmentally friendly and low-carbon modified magnesium slag alkali-activated coal-fired slag based cementitious materials for mine backfilling.
文摘In this paper,an image processing algorithm which is able to synthesize material textures of arbitrary shapes is proposed. The presented approach uses an arbitrary image to construct a structure layer of the material. The resulting structure layer is then used to constrain the material texture synthesis. The field of second-moment matrices is used to represent the structure layer. Many tests with various constraint images are conducted to ensure that the proposed approach accurately reproduces the visual aspects of the input material sample. The results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm is able to accurately synthesize arbitrary-shaped material textures while respecting the local characteristics of the exemplar. This paves the way toward the synthesis of 3D material textures of arbitrary shapes from 2D material samples, which has a wide application range in virtual material design and materials characterization.

文摘Perovskite solar cells(PSC)are considered as a promising photovoltaic technology due to their low cost and high efficiency exceeding 26.8%.Ultra-lightweight flexible perovskite solar cells(FPSCs)can be applied to many fields such as architecture and portable devices.Although the photovoltaic conversion efficiency(PCE)of FPSC has exceeded 24%in the past few years, further application of FPSC is constrained by the challenges posed by limitation of critical material components. Here,we discussed recent research progress of key FPSC materials, mechanical endurance,low-temperature fabrication, etc. With the advantages of high brightness, collimation and resolution,we specially introduced the application of synchrotron radiation grazing incidence wide-angle X-ray scattering(GIWAXS)to directly observe the perovskite buried interface structure and corresponding mechanical stability of FPSCs without any damage. Finally,we summarize the challenges and propose an outlook about the large-scale preparation of efficient and stable FPSC modules.

文摘Fe-Mo functionally graded materials(FGMs)with different composition-change rates from 100%304 stainless steel to 100%Mo along the composition gradient direction were prepared by electron beam-directed energy deposition(EB-DED)technique,including three samples with composition mutation of 100%,composition change rate of 10%and 30%.Results show that the composition-change rate significantly affects the microstructure and mechanical properties of the samples. In the sample with abrupt change of composition, the sharp shift in composition between 304 stainless steel and Mo leads to a great difference in the microstructure and hardness near the interface between the two materials. With the increase in the number of gradient layers, the composition changes continuously along the direction of deposition height, and the microstructure morphology shows a smooth transition from 304 stainless steel to Mo,which is gradually transformed from columnar crystal to dendritic crystal.Elements Fe,Mo,and other major elements transform linearly along the gradient direction, with sufficient interlayer diffusion between the deposited layers, leading to good metallurgical bonding. The smaller the change in composition gradient, the greater the microhardness value along the deposition direction. When the composition gradient is 10%,the gradient layer exhibits higher hardness(940 HV)and excellent resistance to surface abrasion, and the overall compressive properties of the samples are better, with the compressive fracture stress in the top region reaching 750.05±14 MPa.
文摘Pitch is a complex mixture of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and their non-metal derivatives that has a high carbon content.Using pitch as a precursor for carbon materials in alkali metal ion(Li^(+)/Na^(+)/K^(+))batteries has become of great interest. However, its direct pyrolysis often leads to microstructures with a high orientation and small interlayer spacing due to uncontrolled liquid-phase carbonization, resulting in subpar electrochemical performance. It is therefore important to control the microstructures of pitch-derived carbon materials in order to improve their electrochemical properties. We evaluate the latest progress in the development of these materials using various microstructural engineering approaches, highlighting their use in metal-ion batteries and supercapacitors. The advantages and limitations of pitch molecules and their carbon derivatives are outlined, together with strategies for their modification in order to improve their properties for specific applications.Future research possibilities for structure optimization, scalable production, and waste pitch recycling are also considered.
文摘Carbon materials are a key component in energy storage and conversion devices and their microstructure plays a crucial role in determining device performance. However, traditional carbon materials are unable to meet the requirements for applications in emerging fields such as renewable energy and electric vehicles due to limitations including a disordered structure and uncontrolled defects. With an aim of realizing devisable structures, adjustable functions, and performance breakthroughs, superstructured carbons is proposed and represent a category of carbon-based materials, characterized by precisely-built pores, networks, and interfaces.Superstructured carbons can overcome the limitations of traditional carbon materials and improve the performance of energy storage and conversion devices. We review the structure-activity relationships of superstructured carbons and recent research advances from three aspects including a precisely customized pore structure,a dense carbon network framework, and a multi-component highly coupled interface between the different components. Finally,we provide an outlook on the future development of and practical challenges in energy storage and conversion devices.

文摘Compared with other metal anodes such as lithium, sodium and potassium, carbon materials exhibit low redox potential, enhanced safety, significant low-cost advantages and decent electrochemical performance for large-scale metal-ion batteries and supercapacitors.Among the various carbon precursors,low-cost coal and coal derivatives are preferred due to their unique carbon structure with high carbon content.A variety of coal-derived carbon materials have been constructed using different strategies and have been investigated for diverse electrochemical energy storage due to their specific microstructures. In the short term, the electrochemical performance of coal-derived carbon materials is normal. However,it is imperative to develop low-cost and high-performance coal-derived carbon materials in order to reduce the cost of energy storage systems. Therefore, this review focuses on the microstructure modulation strategies for coal-based derived carbon materials to further enhance their electrochemical performance through heteroatom doping, defect engineering, interlayer engineering, crystallinity regulation, pore regulation and multi-strategy synergy. In addition, this review summarizes the enhancement mechanisms for modification strategies and analyses their limitations.Furthermore, current challenges and future research directions for the development of high-performance coal-based derived carbon materials are proposed in this review. It is anticipated that through novel modification strategies,coal-derived carbon materials will exhibit electrochemical performance comparable to that of carbon materials prepared from other precursors.

文摘Silicon materials have attracted wide attention as negative materials due to exceptional gravimetric capacity and abundance. The strategy of using nano-silicon materials as structural units to construct nano/micro-structured silicon-based negative materials for lithium-ion batteries has come into sight in recent years. In order to provide guidance for the material structure design of micro-sized silicon-based negative materials in practical application, in this work, two commercialized nano/micro-structured silicon-based negative materials with a specific capacity of about 650 mAh·g^(-1) were investigated and compared in the aspects of material microstructure, electrochemical performance of half cells, and electrode morphological evolution during cycling. The cycling performance(with capacity retention ratio of about 17% higher after 100 cycles) and electrode structure maintenance of the embedded structure Si/C material are superior to those of core–shell Si/C material. This research can provide guidance on design and application of nano/micro-structured silicon-based negative materials.
