Practical jurisprudence is a completely new proposition in legal education and research.The introduction of the concept of“practical jurisprudence”in the teaching of the Civil Procedure Law of the People’s Republic of China(the“Civil Procedure Law”)is a major innovation in terms of values and methodology.Practical jurisprudence focuses more on practical issues,Chinese characteristics,and major needs,while strengthening the practical nature of the Civil Procedure Law.China’s traditional education system for juris masters(for non-law graduates)(“non-law JMs”)emphasizes the development of foundational legal theoretical knowledge.However,it has not fully achieved its goal of cultivating interdisciplinary and practical legal professionals.Therefore,the traditional education system for the Civil Procedure Law needs reconstruction and supplementation through the practical jurisprudence teaching system in the following areas:(a)System composition:The focus should be on the eight tertiary subsystems under the two secondary subsystems—“the knowledge teaching system and the practical teaching system”of practical jurisprudence in the Civil Procedure Law,as well as the management of their interrelationships.(b)Credit structure:The proportion of credits for“practical teaching and training”should be increased.(c)Practical ability requirements:Legal professionals should be cultivated according to the standards for juris masters(for law graduates)as stipulated by the Law of the People’s Republic of China on Academic Degrees.(d)Practice evaluation:“Formalization of the evaluations,”“homogeneity of the evaluators,”and“reliance on written formats”should be avoided. 展开更多

Under the current medical education reform,the“clinical-research”model for TCM master’s degrees is a key approach to advancing the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine.With the core of“dual-track integration,”this model aims to enhance both clinical practice and research abilities simultaneously.However,ten years of practice have shown that it still faces multiple challenges:an imbalance between clinical rotation time and research investment,deeply rooted attitudes that prioritize clinical work over research,insufficient TCM research resources and fragmented platforms,and poor coordination between policy and teaching design.These issues,particularly the methodological differences between TCM experience-based medicine and modern evidence-based medicine,further complicate the integration of clinical and research efforts.Therefore,there is an urgent need to promote the deep integration of research training into clinical practice through system design,value orientation,and evaluation systems,fostering a new ecological environment where clinical and research efforts thrive together.This will help cultivate TCM professionals with both strong clinical skills and innovative research capabilities,providing sustained momentum for the high-quality development of traditional Chinese medicine. 展开更多

As a reflection of the relationship between human and mountainous environment, urban planning has an impact on the mountainous environment by changing the topography, landform and spatial layout. A good urban planning can mitigate and adapt to the mountainous environmental impact. Urban master planning involves the interrelationships and interactions of various components of urban complex systems. Planning Support System(PSS), as a technical means to assist planning decision-making, is mostly based on the construction mode of "user(stakeholder)-system". Its strong professional characteristics are not conducive to the consensus of diverse stakeholders on urban planning. The aim of this paper is therefore to build an augmented planning support system framework that is based on complex adaptive system theory, this framework is ontology-driven, and thus will enable the generation of a planning support prototype system for mountainous urban master planning founded on this framework. The framework fuses the urban planning ontology and the planning support system together, which helps different urban agents to reach a consensus based on a common understanding of urban planning. The defect is that the construction of the urban planning ontology is still manually constructed. The approach advocated here will enable a common understanding of mountainous urban master planning, support efficient and flexible decision in this area, and provide reference framework for future mountainous urban master PSS developments and application. The PSS prototype developed based on augmented planning support system framework has been applied to the urban master planning of Changting County in Fujian Province, China. Through the application of multiscenario analysis, urban agents can deepen their understanding of the current situation and future development of the city, and ultimately helps to promote urban planning decisions and implementation. 展开更多

The networked synchronization problem of a class of master-slave chaotic systems with time-varying communication topologies is investigated in this paper. Based on algebraic graph theory and matrix theory, a simple linear state feedback controller is designed to synchronize the master chaotic system and the slave chaotic systems with a time- varying communication topology connection. The exponential stability of the closed-loop networked synchronization error system is guaranteed by applying Lyapunov stability theory. The derived novel criteria are in the form of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), which are easy to examine and tremendously reduce the computation burden from the feedback matrices. This paper provides an alternative networked secure communication scheme which can be extended conveniently. An illustrative example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed networked synchronization method. 展开更多

The deficiencies of traditional classroom teaching quality evaluation methods for the postgraduate education of Master of Software Engineering in China are analyzed. The Engineering Education Accreditation and its education quality evaluation methods are introduced briefly, and the strengths of applying these methods for the classroom teaching quality evaluation are discussed. Based on the ideas and evaluation framework of Engineering Education Accreditation, adopting the merits of the traditional methods, a student-centered classroom teaching quality evaluation system is proposed to evaluate and continually improve the classroom teaching quality of Master of Software Engineering. The quality evaluation system covers teaching goals, teacher performance, student performance, teaching effect, supporting conditions and continual improvement totally six aspects. The advanced concepts and ideas of Engineering Education Accreditation and the merits of the traditional classroom teaching quality evaluation methods are both adopted in the proposed classroom teaching quality evaluation system. 展开更多

In this paper, we studied incoherent and coherent beam combining for the master oscillator/power amplifier (MOPA) system with stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) mirror. Optic field intensity distributions in the near and far field are numerically calculated for the two kinds of system. The results show that good beam quality in the far field could be obtained. This evolution rate of the partial excess stochastic entropy is equivalent to the partlal excess stochastic entropy production, as well as the stochastic excess entropy production rate based on the stochastic potential npproach. It appears also as an eqivalent quantity of the Gibbs excess entropy production for the Polsson distribution. The macroscopic stability of chemical reaction systems is dominnted by this new stochastic quantity when the local equilibrium thermodynamics is broken down . 展开更多

This paper proposes an adaptive synchronization problem for the master and slave structure of linear systems with nonlinear perturbations and mixed time-varying delays comprising different discrete and distributed time delays. Using an appropriate Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, some delay-dependent sufficient conditions and an adaptation law including the master-slave parame- ters are established for designing a delayed synchronization law in terms of linear matrix inequalities(LMIs). The time-varying controller guarantees the H ∞ synchronization of the two coupled master and slave systems regardless of their initial states. Particularly, it is shown that the synchronization speed can be controlled by adjusting the updated gain of the synchronization signal. Two numerical examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the method. 展开更多

Ultraviolet nanoimprint lithography(UV-NIL)is a versatile and cost-effective technique for the fabrication of micro-and nanostructures by copying master patterns in a planar or a roll-to-roll process through curing of a liquid UV-sensitive precursor.For applications with a high pattern complexity,new UV-NIL process chains must be specified.Master fabrication is a challenging part of the development and often cannot be accomplished using a single master fabrication technique.Therefore,an approach combining different patterning fabrication techniques is developed here for polymer masters using laser direct writing and photolithography.The polymer masters produced in this way are molded into inverse silicone stamps that are used for roll-to-roll replication into an acrylate formulation.To fit the required roller size for large-area UV-NIL,several submasters with micrometer-sized dot and line gratings and prism arrays,which have been patterned by these different techniques,are assembled to final size of ~200×600 mm^(2) with an absolute precision of better than 50μm.The size of the submasters allows the use of standard laboratory equipment for patterning and direct writing,thus enabling the fabrication of micro-and even nanostructures when electron-beam writing is utilized.In this way,the effort,time,and costs for the fabrication of masters for UV-NIL processes are reduced,enabling further development for particular structures and applications.Using this approach,patterns fabricated with different laboratory tools are finally replicated by UV-NIL in an acrylate formulation,demonstrating the high quality of the whole process chain. 展开更多

Objective:To assess the teaching efficacy of clinical instructors for MNS postgraduates,this study aims to gather insights into clinical educators’perceptions concerning MNS postgraduate training and identify key competencies required for effective teaching.Methods:This study utilized a cross-sectional design.An online questionnaire survey was distributed among clinical faculty members engaged in the education of MNS postgraduates.The survey addressed 4 areas:general teaching conditions,perceptions regarding training for MNS postgraduates,core competencies expected from clinical teachers,and implementation strategies for delivering clinical instruction tailored to these graduates.Results:A total of 143 clinical teachers supervising MNS postgraduates completed the questionnaire.Of these respondents,101(70.62%)held a bachelor’s degree while 42(29.37%)possessed a master’s degree.Although these clinicians demonstrated certain core competencies,they exhibited lower proficiency in understanding trends related to scientific advancements and current research priorities along with limited research capabilities 4.00(3.00,4.00).Notably,>95.8%of teachers recognized differences between the 2 categories of postgraduate students;only 4.2%were completely unaware of such distinctions.There was no statistically significant relationship between the demographic data of clinical educators and their core competencies(P>0.05).Conclusions:This study revealed no significant correlation between the general characteristics of clinical teachers and the core competencies of MNS postgraduates.Additionally,we identified a lack of effective communication and collaboration between MNS postgraduate supervisors and clinical educators.The findings from this research offer valuable insights for further investigation into the factors that influence the core competencies of clinical teachers,as well as strategies to enhance the clinical teaching standards for MNS postgraduates. 展开更多

Near-eutectic Al-Si alloys are widely used in automotive manufacturing due to their superior wear resistance and high temperature performance.Because of high Si content,the grain refinement of near-eutectic Al-Si alloy has been a problem for many years.In this study,the effect of deep cryogenic treatment(DCT)on the microstructure and mechanical properties of Al-12Si-4Cu-2Ni-Mg alloy with addition of Al-Ti-C-B master alloy was fully investigated.Results show that the average grain size of the alloy is greatly reduced from 0.92 mm to 0.50 mm,and the eutectic Si and Al7Cu4Ni precipitates are spheroidized and refined in Al-12Si-4Cu-2Ni-Mg after DCT for 24 h and aging treatment.Thereby these changes of microstructures result in a significant increment of about 22.5%in elongation and a slight enhancement of about 6.8%in tensile strength.Moreover,the refinement of microstructure also significantly improves the fatigue life of the alloy. 展开更多

Master robots are integral components of teleoperated robot-assisted minimally invasive surgery systems.Among them,parallel mechanism-based 6-degree-of-freedom master robots are distinguished by low inertia and high-force feedback.However,complex kinematics and singularities are the main barriers limiting its usage.This study converts the Hexa-type 6-RUS mechanism into a master robot to construct master-slave teleoperation system.The clinical background is briefly introduced and a representative surgical robot is employed to analyze the master-slave mapping relationship.The inverse/forward kinematics,the Jacobian matrix,and the translation and orientation workspace are derived as the bases of master robot’s application.The architecture parameters are optimized by the global transmission index to achieve better motion/force transmissibility.Based on the optimal result,the prototype and the master-slave control loop are constructed.Finally,the corresponding master-slave teleoperation experiment and model experiment demonstrate that the proposed master robot satisfies the basic need for medical application. 展开更多

The circuit quantum electrodynamics(QED)system has brought us into an ultrastrong and deep coupling regime in the light-matter interaction community,in which the quantum effect has attracted significant interest.In this study,we theoretically investigated the photon blockade phenomenon in a double-transmon system operating in an ultrastrong coupling regime.We considered the effect of the counter-rotating wave terms in the interaction Hamiltonian and derived the master equation in the eigenpresentation.We found that photon blockade occurred in only one of the eigenmodes,and the counter-rotating wave terms enhanced the blockade by reducing the minimum value of the second-order correlation function.This study will be beneficial for the design of single-photon devices in circuit QED systems,especially in the ultrastrong coupling regime. 展开更多

Refinement of A356 alloy using continuous rheological extrusion Al-Ti-V-B master alloy

Based on thermodynamic calculations and continuous rheological extrusion(CRE)technology,Al-Ti-V-B master alloys were designed and prepared.The morphology and the distribution of the refined phases in the master alloys were analyzed by XRD,SEM,and TEM.The effects of master alloy addition and holding time on the microstructure and mechanical properties of A356 alloy were investigated.Under the optimum refiner addition of 0.3wt.%and the holding time of 20 min,the average grain size of the refined A356 alloy is 151.8±9.11μm,89.62%lower than that of original A356 alloy.The tensile strength and elongation of as-cast A356refined alloy are 196.11 MPa and 5.75%,respectively.After T6 treatment,the tensile strength and elongation of A356 refined alloy are 290.1 MPa and 3.09%,respectively.The fracture morphology is characterized by a predominance of along-crystal fracture with a small amount of through-crystal fracture,attributed to the refined grains.Finer grains promote crack path deflection and localized plastic deformation,enhancing energy dissipation and reducing the tendency for brittle fracture.This study provides a novel approach to improving the mechanical properties of A356 alloy through grain refinement using CRE Al-Ti-V-B master alloy. 展开更多
