1.Introduction A good part of the immense biological diversity of the Amazon is represented by plants,which are producing organisms in this system,where the Angiosperms(Magnoliophyta)alone add up to about 30,000 speci... 1.Introduction A good part of the immense biological diversity of the Amazon is represented by plants,which are producing organisms in this system,where the Angiosperms(Magnoliophyta)alone add up to about 30,000 species,in addition to the palm trees(Arecaceae),a family always remembered as a symbol of tropical forests(Souza&Lima,2019).In the Americas,Brito et al.(2017)divide the occurrence of palm trees into seven regions,the Amazon Region being the most extensive of all,with approximately 6.5 million km2,which includes the entire forest of the Amazon and Orinoco basins,as well as the Guianas.These members of the Arecaceae family have significant cultural and economic value in the areas where they occur.In these places,native peoples use them as food,or as raw material in the production of handicrafts and construction of houses,among other uses(Brito,2017;Carvalho et al.,2007). 展开更多
