In order to improve the spectrum efficiency of the high-order polar coded modulation systems, the polar code is used as the component code of the bit-interleave coded modulation(BICM) system, a novel bit mapping scheme is proposed considering of the channel polarization and successive cancellation(SC) decoding principle of polar codes as well as the unequal protection of equivalent channels by modulator. In this scheme, the frozen bits on the unreliable split channel are allocated to the equivalent channel with the low protection of the modulator, while the equivalent channels with the high protection are used to transmit the information bits. Thus, the error-correcting performance of polar codes is improved. Compared with some bit mapping schemes, the proposed bit mapping scheme only needs to divide and choose the parameters of the split channels reliability measurement, the complexity does not increase obviously, and simulation results show that the proposed scheme has the better performance under the quadrature amplitude modulation(QAM) modulation based on the Gray mapping. 展开更多

A new selected mapping(SLM)scheme based on constellation rotation is proposed to reduce the peak-to-average power ratio(PAPR)of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM)signals. Its core idea is to generate abundant candidate signals by rotating different sub-signals of the original frequency signal with different angles. This new signal generation method can simplify the calculation process of candidate time signals into the linear addition of some intermediate signals, which are generated by the inverse fast Fourier transform(IFFT)operation of the original frequency signal. This feature can effectively reduce the computational complexity of candidate signal generation process. And compared to the traditional SLM scheme, the number of complex multiplication and complex addition of new scheme can separately be decreased by about 99.99% and 91.7% with some specific parameters. Moreover, with the help of the constellation detection mechanism at the receiver, there is no need to carry any side information at the transmitter. The simulation results show that, with the same channel transmission performance, the PAPR reduction performance of new scheme can approach or even exceed the upper bound of the traditional SLM scheme, which uses all the vectors in Hadamard matrix as the phase sequences. 展开更多

In this paper, we consider an explicit iteration scheme with perturbed mapping for nonexpansive mappings in real q-uniformly smooth Banach spaces. Some weak and strong convergence theorems for this explicit iteration scheme are established. In particular, necessary and sufficient conditions for strong convergence of this explicit iteration scheme are obtained. At last, some useful corollaries for strong convergence of this explicit iteration scheme are given. 展开更多

An optical modulation format generation scheme based on spectral filtering and frequency-to-time mapping is experimentally demonstrated. Many modulation formats with continuously adjustable duty radio and bit rate can be formed by changing the dispersion of dispersion element and the bandwidth of shaped spectrum in this scheme. In the experiment, non-return-to-zero(NRZ) signal with bit rate of 29.41 Gbit/s and 1/2 duty ratio return-to-zero(RZ) signal with bit rate of 13.51 Gbit/s are obtained. The maximum bit rate of modulation format signal is also analyzed. 展开更多

A new approach for peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) reduction in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems was proposed. This approach is based on assigning powers to the different subcarriers of OFDM using an unequal power distribution strategy. In addition,a reduced complexity selective mapping (RC-SLM) scheme was proposed. The proposed scheme is based on partitioning the frequency domain symbol sequence into several sub-blocks,and then each sub-block is multiplied by different phase sequences whose length is shorter than that used in the conventional SLM scheme. Then,a kind of low complexity conversions is used to replace the IFFT blocks. The performance of the proposed RC-SLM scheme along with the new approach was studied with computer simulation. The obtained results show that the proposed RC-SLM scheme is able to achieve the lowest computational complexity when compared with other low complexity schemes proposed in the literature while at the same time improves the PAPR reduction performance by about 0.3 dB. 展开更多

In this paper,a new type of finite difference mapped weighted essentially non-oscillatory(MWENO)schemes with unequal-sized stencils, such as the seventh-order and ninthorder versions,is constructed for solving hyperbolic conservation laws. For the purpose of designing increasingly high-order finite difference WENO schemes, the equal-sized stencils are becoming more and more wider. The more we use wider candidate stencils, the bigger the probability of discontinuities lies in all stencils. Therefore, one innovation of these new WENO schemes is to introduce a new splitting stencil methodology to divide some fourpoint or five-point stencils into several smaller three-point stencils.By the usage of this new methodology in high-order spatial reconstruction procedure,we get different degree polynomials defined on these unequal-sized stencils, and calculate the linear weights, smoothness indicators, and nonlinear weights as specified in Jiang and Shu(J.Comput.Phys.126:202228,1996).Since the difference between the nonlinear weights and the linear weights is too big to keep the optimal order of accuracy in smooth regions, another crucial innovation is to present the new mapping functions which are used to obtain the mapped nonlinear weights and decrease the difference quantity between the mapped nonlinear weights and the linear weights,so as to keep the optimal order of accuracy in smooth regions. These new MWENO schemes can also be applied to compute some extreme examples, such as the double rarefaction wave problem, the Sedov blast wave problem, and the Leblanc problem with a normal CFL number.Extensive numerical results are provided to illustrate the good performance of the new finite difference MWENO schemes. 展开更多
