Ever since the 1960s, especially 1980s, under the background of quickening pace of economic globalization and the regional division of labor around the world, the transfer of manufacturing industries among countries and areas gets great momentum and impetus. During 20-plus years in which China has adopted the policy of opening-up and reforming, our country has played an active role in taking part in the transfer of manufacturing industries. It advances the structural change of national manufacturing industries, accelerates national industrialism and promotes the comprehensive development of regional economics. In this paper, the author makes some initial study on the regularity of transfer of International manufacturing industries, discusses the profound impact of such shift on our national resources, environment, economics and society, and also proposes corresponding suggestions on how to implement the strategy of sustainable development in the process of the shift. 展开更多

Over the past seven decades since the founding of the People’s Republic of China in 1949,China has emerged as the factory floor of the world.Manufacturing prowess has undergirded China’s industrial growth,competitiveness,and leading-nation status.The Fifth Plenum of the 19th CPC Central Committee vowed to“basically complete newtype industrialization,ICT revolution,urbanization,and agricultural modernization and build a modern economic system by 2035.”To achieve this goal,China must steadfastly advance supply-side structural reforms,strengthen the real economy,develop advanced manufacturing,and upgrade traditional industries.China must create a stable and competitive supply chain and enhance the dynamism of market entities.At the heart of these priorities lies innovation.In conclusion,this paper puts forth policy recommendations on China’s manufacturing strength and competitiveness towards 2035.Specifically,China should leverage its market heft and“whole-nation”strength to push forward industrial transition,deepen market-based factor allocation reforms,encourage entrepreneurship,and embrace international cooperation and competition. 展开更多

Background: The COVID-19 pandemic is a devastating blow to the entire world community and changes the order of human life. Purpose: All efforts and strategies are being carried out to contain and reduce the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus by tightening the health protocol and using vaccines for the public. Currently, several vaccines are available and have passed phase 3 clinical trials, such as vector vaccines (Gamaleya Sputnik V Russia, University of Oxford/AstraZeneca, CanSino, and Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies), mRNA-based vaccines (Moderna/BioNTech/Fosun Pharma/Pfizer), inactivated vaccines (Sinovac and Sinopharm from China, Covaxin from Bharat Biotech India) and adjuvanted recombinant protein nanoparticles (Novavax from the USA), which are expected to be able to suppress the spread of the virus and produce a minimum of 70% herd immunity in a population. This study uses a narrative review from reputable publications and is closely related to the topic. Result: Each vaccine’s efficacy varies from the lowest, namely, the Sinovac vaccine (CoronaVac) 50%, to the highest the Novavax vaccine (NVX-Cov2373) 96% effectivity value. However, further rigorous research is still being carried out to develop an effective and efficient vaccine. Health workers are the last bastion to handle COVID-19 patients. Conclusion: The primary purpose of the present immunization is to prevent and minimize the spread of COVID-19. At this time, the availability of a variety of vaccines is expected to provide strategic answers to the pandemic scenario that has afflicted countries all over the world. 展开更多

Digital Transformation,Platform Transformation,and Enterprise Innovation Performance:An Analysis Based on the“Technology-Organization-Innovation”Paradigm

Against the backdrop of deep digital-real economy integration and intensifying global innovation competition,accelerating digital transformation and platform transformation to shape a multidimensional,interactive,and co-evolutionary innovation ecosystem represents a crucial pathway to enhancing the independent innovation capability of manufacturing enterprises.By incorporating digital elements and platform concepts into the traditional techno-economic paradigm,this study constructs a Technology-Organization-Innovation theoretical framework to analyze how digital transformation facilitates organizational platform transformation,thereby improving enterprise innovation performance.Based on the theoretical analysis,this study empirically examines the relationship between digital transformation,platform transformation,and enterprise innovation performance using panel data from Chinese listed manufacturing firms from 2014 to 2021.The results indicate that digital transformation significantly enhances enterprise innovation performance,with more pronounced effects for firms with higher levels of digitalization and higher ownership concentration.Additionally,digital transformation drives organizational platform transformation,fostering an innovation ecosystem through digital platforms,which in turn strengthens enterprises’independent innovation capabilities.The role of digitalization in facilitating platform transformation is primarily achieved through specialization in the division of labor and enterprise interconnectivity-two critical dimensions of the industrial internet platform.Promoting digital transformation and platform transformation in manufacturing enterprises while fully leveraging digital platforms as innovation infrastructure can enhance enterprise innovation performance and drive high-quality development in the manufacturing industry. 展开更多
