In Zambia, the Logistics Management Information System (LMIS) is a key tool for managing the supply chain of these commodities. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of LMIS in ensuring the availability of essential medicines and medical supplies in public hospitals in the Copperbelt Province of Zambia. Materials and Methods: From February to April 2022, a cross-sectional study was conducted in 12 public hospitals across the Copperbelt Province. Data were collected using structured questionnaires, checklists, and stock control cards. The study assessed LMIS availability, training, and knowledge among pharmacy personnel, as well as data accuracy, product availability, and order fill rates. Descriptive statistics were used to analyse the data. Results: All surveyed hospitals had LMIS implemented and were using eLMIS as the primary LMIS. Only 47% and 48% of pharmacy personnel received training in eLMIS and Essential Medicines Logistics Improvement Program (EMLIP), respectively. Most personnel demonstrated good knowledge of LMIS, with 77.7% able to log in to eLMIS Facility Edition, 76.6% able to locate stock control cards in the system, and 78.7% able to perform transactions. However, data accuracy from physical and electronic records varied from 0% to 60%, and product availability ranged from 50% to 80%. Order fill rates from Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency (ZAMMSA) were consistently below 30%. Discrepancies were observed between physical stock counts and eLMIS records. Conclusion: This study found that most hospitals in the Copperbelt Province of Zambia have implemented LMIS use. While LMIS implementation is high in the Copperbelt Province of Zambia, challenges such as low training levels, data inaccuracies, low product availability, and order fill rates persist. Addressing these issues requires a comprehensive approach, including capacity building, data quality improvement, supply chain coordination, and investment in infrastructure and human resources. Strengthening LMIS effectiveness is crucial for improving healthcare delivery and patient outcomes in Zambia.展开更多

By using GIS as core and integrating with microcomputer network, office automation (OA), computer aided design (CAD), and multimedia technology, a microcomputer information system (TownMIS) is implemented after 3 year design and development. It may be a first comprehensive system for the planning and management of small towns. Since the January of 1996, TownMIS has been actually used in Xiaolan Town, a coastal rich town in South China. We developed national important mining zone database (NIMZDB) to manage 14 national important mining zone databases to support a new round prediction of ore deposit. We found that attention should be paid to the following issues: ① data accuracy: integrity, logic consistency, attribute, spatial and time accuracy; ② management of both attribute and spatial data in the same system;③ transforming data between MapGIS and ArcGIS; ④ data sharing and security; ⑤ data searches that can query both attribute and spatial data. Accuracy of input data is guaranteed and the search, analysis and translation of data between MapGIS and ArcGIS has been made convenient via the development of a checking data module and a managing data module based on MapGIS and ArcGIS. According to our case study industry, such industry currently used traditional network systems such as LAN, and "Bus Network" Network Topology. Client/Server distributed computing has a problem with database management in data redundancy, data inconsistency, and data independency. For Network Topology, Bus Network has problem with multitasking since the network are able to handle only a set of data at a time so the traffic problem will occur when multiple users request for the service. Thus, such condition is inconsistent with concurrent engineering which must be able to access the data simultaneously. As a consequence, this study develops a network system, network system of working system, using LAN and "Star Network" network topology. The file server processing distributed is an application while database is stored in host computer or file server but the data will be processed in users' computer. When the user needs to access the data, file server will send it to the user and the user can further analysis or manage such data in the user computer, so called "Hierarchical Database Model". Hierarchical database structure is easily developed like general organization command structure with different level of responsibility. In details, the data level in the database is divided into three levels including DBI, DB2, and DB3, so development of simultaneously systemic flow and access of various critical data is performed in parallel. Furthermore, this is consistent with access of all three data levels including: Level 1 is overall dataflow of both inside and outside the organization; Level 2 is dataflow of each division in the organization; and Level 3 is dataflow of subunit in each division in the organization. In this system network technique is employed to trace and evaluate the implementation of the project, finally, this paper supplies a typical function-structure of project management information system and the mode of how to construct the system.

文摘The necessity to construct the network management information system of 3PLs agricultural supply chain is analyzed,showing that 3PLs can improve the overall competitive advantage of agricultural supply chain.3PLs changes the homogeneity management into specialized management of logistics service and achieves the alliance of the subjects at different nodes of agricultural products supply chain.Network management information system structure of agricultural products supply chain based on 3PLs is constructed,including the four layers(the network communication layer,the hardware and software environment layer,the database layer,and the application layer)and 7 function modules(centralized control,transportation process management,material and vehicle scheduling,customer relationship,storage management,customer inquiry,and financial management).Framework for the network management information system of agricultural products supply chain based on 3PLs is put forward.The management of 3PLs mainly includes purchasing management,supplier relationship management,planning management,customer relationship management,storage management and distribution management.Thus,a management system of internal and external integrated agricultural enterprises is obtained.The network management information system of agricultural products supply chain based on 3PLs has realized the effective sharing of enterprise information of agricultural products supply chain at different nodes,establishing a long-term partnership revolving around the 3PLs core enterprise,as well as a supply chain with stable relationship based on the supply chain network system,so as to improve the circulation efficiency of agricultural products,and to explore the sales market for agricultural products.
文摘This study focuses on the management of maintenance hemodialysis(MHD)patients,with a specific emphasis on the practical application effect of the network information management model including its impact on patients’compliance.A network information management model for MHD patients was constructed around three management schemes:“software reminders+follow-up guidance”,“dietary records+self-management reminders”,and“dialysis plan+precise weight management”.These schemes were respectively used to optimize anemia management,control the risk of hyperphosphatemia,and improve toxin clearance efficiency.A controlled experiment was conducted,with an experimental group and a control group set up for comparative practice.The results showed that the network information management model can effectively improve patients’anemia,help alleviate mineral metabolism disorders and the accumulation of small-molecule toxins,and exert a positive impact on patients’treatment compliance.
文摘This article attempts to distinguish public relations(PRs)from propaganda,within the context of information management.Speedy dissemination of information is an important feature of contemporary communication practice globally.In this era,the information content of communication is an important element requiring critical evaluation.This is so,because of the need to safeguard the information ecosystem,considering the thin line between public relations and propaganda.While both propaganda and public relations aim to shape perceptions,influence attitudes,and sway opinions,one key distinction lies in their ethical considerations.Public relations emphasize honesty,accuracy,accountability,and a commitment to the truth.In contrast,propaganda may involve manipulation,distortion,or even fabrication of information to advance a particular agenda,often at the expense of truth and transparency.Hinged on The Excellence Theory and the Two-Way Symmetrical Model,the paper focuses on the meeting points and differences between public relations and propaganda,with a view to safeguarding the integrity of the information ecosystem.The study adopted the survey research method,with interview as research instrument.The study discovered that while propaganda is not entirely a bad practice,it has a heavy tilt towards bias.It therefore recommends that deliberate steps be taken by relevant professional organisations and other stakeholders towards educating the citizens on ways of distinguishing between public relations and propaganda contents.

文摘To improve the level of sports social management,to achieve standardized management,quick query,scientific statistics of sports social information,and to meet the needs of sports organizers,social platform managers,and other users,this paper introduces a sports social management system based on Spring Boot.The system uses Eclipse for Java Web development,selects MySQL 5.6 database as the background data storage solution,uses Java language to write code,and uses Tomcat server to build the running environment of applications.The system has the function of adding,deleting,changing and checking sports activities,supporting the input,query and statistical analysis of users’sports results,sports consumption and sports distance,and also allows to add,delete,modify and query the information of sports friends,aiming to provide users with a comprehensive and efficient sports social information management platform.
