The composition−property relationship of 18 quaternary high entropy diborides(HEBs)consisting of boron and IVB,VB and VIB transition metals(TM)was investigated using first-principles calculations.A valence electron concentration−relative electronegativity(VEC−REN)composite descriptor was developed to effectively predict the mechanical properties of HEBs.The results demonstrate that with a fixed VEC,the rise of the REN makes HEBs harder but more brittle when the electronegativity of doped TM atoms is lower than that of boron atoms.However,HEBs become softer and more ductile as REN increases if the doped TM atoms have higher electronegativity than boron atoms.The VEC−REN composite descriptor can accurately classify and predict the mechanical properties of HEBs with different components,which provides important theoretical guidance for the rapid design and development of novel high-entropy ceramic materials. 展开更多

The relationships between the selective laser melting(SLM)processing parameters including laser power,scanning speed and hatch space,the relative density,the microstructure,and resulting mechanical properties of Ti-6Al-2Zr-1Mo-1V alloy were investigated in this work.The result shows that laser power acts a dominant role in determining the relative density in comparison with scanning speed and hatch space.The optimal SLM process window for fabricating relative density>99%samples is located in the energy density range of 34.72 J·mm^(-3)to 52.08 J·mm^(-3),where the laser power range is between 125 W and 175 W.An upward trend is found in the micro-hardness as the energy density is increased.The optimum SLM processing parameters of Ti-6Al-2Zr-1Mo-1V alloy are:laser power of 150 W,scanning speed of 1,600 mm·s^(-1),hatch space of 0.08 mm,and layer thickness of 0.03 mm.The highest ultimate tensile strength,yield strength,and ductility under the optimum processing parameter are achieved,which are 1,205 MPa,1,099 MPa,and 8%,respectively.The results of this study can be used to guide SLM production Ti-6Al-2Zr-1Mo-1V alloy parts. 展开更多

LREGT:Local Relationship Enhanced Gated Transformer for Image Captioning

Existing Transformer-based image captioning models typically rely on the self-attention mechanism to capture long-range dependencies,which effectively extracts and leverages the global correlation of image features.However,these models still face challenges in effectively capturing local associations.Moreover,since the encoder extracts global and local association features that focus on different semantic information,semantic noise may occur during the decoding stage.To address these issues,we propose the Local Relationship Enhanced Gated Transformer(LREGT).In the encoder part,we introduce the Local Relationship Enhanced Encoder(LREE),whose core component is the Local Relationship Enhanced Module(LREM).LREM consists of two novel designs:the Local Correlation Perception Module(LCPM)and the Local-Global Fusion Module(LGFM),which are beneficial for generating a comprehensive feature representation that integrates both global and local information.In the decoder part,we propose the Dual-level Multi-branch Gated Decoder(DMGD).It first creates multiple decoding branches to generate multi-perspective contextual feature representations.Subsequently,it employs the Dual-Level Gating Mechanism(DLGM)to model the multi-level relationships of these multi-perspective contextual features,enhancing their fine-grained semantics and intrinsic relationship representations.This ultimately leads to the generation of high-quality and semantically rich image captions.Experiments on the standard MSCOCO dataset demonstrate that LREGT achieves state-of-the-art performance,with a CIDEr score of 140.8 and BLEU-4 score of 41.3,significantly outperforming existing mainstream methods.These results highlight LREGT’s superiority in capturing complex visual relationships and resolving semantic noise during decoding. 展开更多

Energy and heat transfer analysis on the heating process of crude oil tank with mechanical stirring

Taking into account the characteristics of non-Newtonian fluids and the influence of latent heat of wax crystallization,this study establishes physical and mathematical models for the synergy of tubular heating and mechanical stirring during the waxy crude oil heating process.Numerical calculations are conducted using the sliding grid technique and FVM.The focus of this study is on the impact of stirring rate(τ),horizontal deflection angle(θ1),vertical deflection angle(θ2),and stirring diameter(D)on the heating effect of crude oil.Our results show that asτincreases from 200 rpm to 500 rpm and D increases from 400 mm to 600 mm,there is an improvement in the average crude oil temperature and temperature uniformity.Additionally,heating efficiency increases by 0.5%and 1%,while the volume of the low-temperature region decreases by 57.01 m^(3) and 36.87 m3,respectively.Asθ1 andθ2 increase from 0°to 12°,the average crude oil temperature,temperature uniformity,and heating efficiency decrease,while the volume of the low-temperature region remains basically the same.Grey correlation analysis is used to rank the importance of stirring parameters in the following order:τ>θ1>θ2>D.Subsequently,multiple regression analysis is used to quantitatively describe the relationship between different stirring parameters and heat transfer evaluation indices through equations.Finally,based on entropy generation minimization,the stirring parameters with optimal heat transfer performance are obtained when τ=350 rpm,θ1=θ2=0°,and D=500 mm. 展开更多

Considering the three typical phase-change related rock mechanics phenomena during drilling and production in oil and gas reservoirs,which include phase change of solid alkane-related mixtures upon heating,sand liquefaction induced by sudden pressure release of the over-pressured sand body,and formation collapse due to gasification of pore fillings from pressure reduction,this study first systematically analyzes the progress of theoretical understanding,experimental methods,and mathematical representation,then discusses the engineering application scenarios corresponding to the three phenomena and reveals the mechanical principles and application effectiveness.Based on these research efforts,the study further discusses the significant challenges,potential developmental trends,and research approaches that require urgent exploration.The findings disclose that various phase-related rock mechanics phenomena require specific experimental and mathematical methods that can produce multi-field coupling mechanical mechanisms,which will eventually instruct the control on resource exploitation,evaluation on disaster level,and analysis of formation stability.To meet the development needs of the principle,future research efforts should focus on mining more phase-change related rock mechanics phenomena during oil and gas resources exploitation,developing novel experimental equipment,and using techniques of artificial intelligence and digital twins to implement real-time simulation and dynamic visualization of phase-change related rock mechanics. 展开更多

The global aging crisis has increased the prevalence of skeletal disorders,necessitating innovative therapeutic strategies.This review employs the brain-bone axis(BBA)framework to examine the role of the sympathetic nervous system(SNS)in bone metabolism.The research systematically elucidates the molecular mechanisms by which the SNS mediates signaling pathways through neurofibers and neurotransmitters,such as norepinephrine,dopamine,neuropeptide Y,and leptin,regulating interactions between bone-related cells to maintain skeletal homeostasis.It also identifies the pathological associations between the dysregulation of these pathways and the progression of bone-related conditions,such as osteoporosis,osteoarthritis,and intervertebral disc degeneration.By integrating current evidence,we identify novel therapeutic targets within the BBA and propose neuro-centric intervention strategies to mitigate skeletal diseases.This review deepens the understanding of neuro-skeletal interactions and lays a foundation for innovative treatments for bone-related pathologies. 展开更多

Combining a detailed catalytic surface reaction mechanism with noble metal and promoter elementary reactions, a new three-way catalytic converter(TWC) reaction mechanism is established. Based on the new mechanism, steady condition numerical simulation is carried out, and the change of light-off temperatures and conversion efficiency with various SO2 contents is obtained. By grey relational analysis(GRA), the relational grade between conversion efficiency and SO2 content is obtained. And, the result shows that SO2 content has the most important influence on C3H6 and NOX conversion efficiency. This provides an important reference to the improvement of activity design of TWC, and may provide guidance for the condition design and optimization of TWC. 展开更多

The Dynamic relation mechanism between ZCE cotton futures price and related listed company stock price has been studied based on the metastock historical data in January 1st,2007 to September 1st,2010,Johansen co-integration analysis,Vector error correction model,Granger causality test and variance decomposition method.The results indicated that:long-term equilibrium relationship existed between ZCE cotton futures price and Xinsai share stock price while which changed in the same tendency and speed in the long-term.Cotton futures price is the main reason for the changing of Xinsai share stock price.The lead-lag relationship in changing course had been confirmed that existed between ZCE cotton futures price and the Xinsai share stock price.Meanwhile,the forward pass mechanism of price changing information had been found only from the ZCE cotton futures market to the stock market while showing asymmetry.Conclusions of the study can be used for cotton and related corporate to hedge business risks by the cotton price changes. 展开更多

Pain-related mediators underlie incision-induced mechanical nociception in the dorsal root ganglia

Interleukin-10 and brain... Approximately 50-70% of patients experience incision-induced mechanical nociception after sur- gery. However, the mechanism underlying incision-induced mechanical nociception is still unclear. Interleukin-10 and brain-derived neurotrophic factor are important pain mediators, but whether in- terleukin-10 and brain-derived neurotrophic factor are involved in incision-induced mechanical no- ciception remains uncertain. In this study, forty rats were divided randomly into the incision surgery (n = 32) and sham surgery (n = 8) groups. Plantar incision on the central part of left hind paw was performed under anesthesia in rats from the surgery group. Rats in the sham surgery group re- ceived anesthesia, but not an incision. Yon Frey test results showed that, compared with the sham surgery group, incision surgery decreased the withdrawal threshold of rats at 0.5, 3, 6 and 24 hours after incision. Immunofluorescence staining in the dorsal root ganglia of the spinal cord (L3-5) showed that interleukin-10 and brain-derived neurotrophic factor were expressed mainly on small- and medium-sized neurons (diameter 〈 20 pm and 20-40 pm) and satellite cells in the dorsal root ganglia of the spinal cord (L3-5) in the sham surgery group. By contrast, in the surgery group, high expression of interleukin-10 and brain-derived neurotrophic factor appeared in large-sized neurons (diameter 〉 40 pm) at 6 and 24 hours after incision surgery, which corresponded to the decreased mechanical withdrawal threshold of rats in the surgery group. These experimental findings suggest that expression pattern shift of interleukin-10 and brain-derived neurotrophic factor induced by inci- sion surgery in dorsal root ganglia of rats was closely involved in lowering the threshold to me- chanical stimulus in the hind paw following incision surgery. Pain-related mediators induced by in- cision surgery in dorsal root ganglia of rats possibly underlie mechanical nociception in ipsilateral hind paws. 展开更多

The mechanical properties and constitutive behaviors of as-cast AA7050 in both the solid and semi-solid states were determined using the on-cooling and in situ solidification approaches, respectively. The results show that the strength in the solid state tends to increase with decreasing temperature. The strain rate plays an important role in the stress–strain behaviors at higher temperatures, whereas the influence becomes less pronounced and irregular when the temperature is less than 250°C. The experimental data were fitted to the extended Ludwik equation, which is suitable to describe the mechanical behavior of the materials in the as-cast state. In the semi-solid state, both the strength and ductility of the alloy are high near the solidus temperature and decrease drastically with decreasing solid fraction. As the solid fraction is less than 0.97, the maximum strength only slightly decreases, whereas the post-peak ductility begins to increase. The experimental data were fitted to the modified creep law, which is used to describe the mechanical behavior of semi-solid materials, to determine the equivalent parameter fGBWL, i.e., the fraction of grain boundaries covered by liquid phase. 展开更多

By using the concept of domain of microcrack growth(DMG),the micromechanisms of damage in quasi-brittle materials subjected to triaxial either tensile or compressive loading are investigated and the complete strew-strain relation including four stages is obtained from micromechanical analysis.The regime of pre-peak nonlinear hardening corresponds to the distributed damage,i.e.the stable propagation of microcracks.After the attainment of the ultimate strength of load-bearing capacity, some microcracks experience the second unstable growth and the distributed damage is transmitted to the localization of damage.These analyses improve our understanding of the hardening and softening behaviors of quasi-brittle materials. 展开更多

BACKGROUND The therapeutic effects of a combination of Chinese medicines called Baihedihuang decoction(BD)have been clinically verified,although its molecular targets in breast cancer related anxiety remain unknown.AIM To explore the molecular mechanisms of BD for breast cancer related anxiety treatment.METHODS We used the Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology database to screen the active ingredients and potential targets of BD,and constructed the"drug-ingredient-target"network map with the help of Cytoscape 3.8 software.Also,we used the Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man,DrugBank,and Gencards databases to collect the disease targets of breast cancer related anxiety,and used the STRING platform to perform protein interaction analysis and construct the protein-protein interaction network.Metascape platform was used for Gene Ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway enrichment analysis of key targets.Molecular docking technology was used to verify the drug component/target disease network.RESULTS We screened 16 active ingredients of BD for breast cancer related anxiety,with 113 target proteins.There are 931 disease targets of breast cancer related anxiety,and finally,43 key targets and 305 Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathways were generated.The main active ingredients of BD for breast cancer related anxiety are verbascoside,β-sitosterol,stigmasterol,catalpol,etc.CDK2,TP53,HTR2A,ESR1,etc.are its key targets,and the main involved signaling pathways may include neuroactive ligand-receptor interaction pathway,5-hydroxytryptaminergic synapse,P53 signaling pathway,cGMP-PKG signaling pathway,the cAMP signaling pathway,etc.Finally,molecular docking was performed with Vina software to validate the key active ingredients in BD with the selected key action targets.The molecular docking results showed that verbascoside,β-sitosterol,stigmasterol and CDK2 could stably bind and interact through amino acid residues SER249,ARG260,PRO228,ALA282,SER276,LYS273,ASN272,etc.CONCLUSION The therapeutic effect of BD for breast cancer related anxiety is multi-level,multi-target,and multi-pathway.The findings of this study provide ideas and basis for further research. 展开更多

The advancement and development of medical surgical robots have provided new technological support for brain surgery and neurosurgical procedures,improving the reliability of highly complex and precise surgeries.In turn,this urges the design and development of novel surgical robots to possess higher precision,stability,and enhanced motion capabilities.In response to this practical demand,this paper introduces a macro-micro integrated medical brain surgery robot system based on the concept of modular PMs(parallel mechanisms),which have a total of 13 active DOFs(degrees of freedom).This system divides the motion process of brain surgery into a large-scale macro-motion space and a small-scale high-precision motion space for design and planning control.The introduction of the design concept that combines multiple modular parallel sub-mechanisms has brought a significant level of decoupling characteristics to the mechanism itself.A comprehensive introduction and analysis of the surgical robot are provided,covering aspects such as design,kinematics,motion planning,and performance indicators.To address the pose allocation and coordination of motion between the macro platform and the micro platform,a pose allocation algorithm based on the decoupling and non-decoupling characteristics in various dimensions of the macro-micro platform is proposed.The designed measurement experiments have demonstrated that the repeatability in positioning accuracy of the macro and micro platform reaches the level of micron and submicron respectively.Practical experiments of motion control and simulated brain electrode implantation validate the excellent performance and stability of the entire surgical robot system.This research contributes innovative insights to the development of medical surgical robot systems,particularly in the domain of mechanism design. 展开更多

How to use a few defect samples to complete the defect classification is a key challenge in the production of mobile phone screens.An attention-relation network for the mobile phone screen defect classification is proposed in this paper.The architecture of the attention-relation network contains two modules:a feature extract module and a feature metric module.Different from other few-shot models,an attention mechanism is applied to metric learning in our model to measure the distance between features,so as to pay attention to the correlation between features and suppress unwanted information.Besides,we combine dilated convolution and skip connection to extract more feature information for follow-up processing.We validate attention-relation network on the mobile phone screen defect dataset.The experimental results show that the classification accuracy of the attentionrelation network is 0.9486 under the 5-way 1-shot training strategy and 0.9039 under the 5-way 5-shot setting.It achieves the excellent effect of classification for mobile phone screen defects and outperforms with dominant advantages. 展开更多

The aim of this study is to provide the quantificational change laws of strength,stiffness,and deformation capacity of frost-damaged concrete relating to a united index,the data were obtained by different researchers.Then the index of relative compressive strength(RCS) was introduced as the indicator of frost damage and a large number of mechanical performance testing data of frost-damaged concrete were collected and analyzed.By curve fitting,the correlations between RCS and the initial elastic modulus,the strain at peak compressive stress,and biaxial compressive strength,and tensile strength,and the strain at peak tensile stress were established.Thereafter,the analytical stress-strain response of frost-damaged concrete under monotonic loading was presented using RCS and compared with that of the experimental data.Moreover,an isotropic elastoplastic damage model of frost-damaged concrete subjected to repeated loading was established.Finally,we can systematically estimate the effects of frost-damage on the mechanical performance of concrete,which can be provided for the numerical simulation of frost-damaged concrete structures. 展开更多

To investigate the mechanical properties of cement mortar in sodium sulfate and sodium chloride solutions, uniaxial compression test and ultrasonic test were performed. Test results show that the relative dynamic elastic modulus, the mass variation,and the compressive strength of cement mortar increase first, and then decrease with increasing erosion time in sodium sulfate and sodium chloride solutions. The relative dynamic elastic moduli and the compressive strengths of cement mortars with water/cement ratios of 0.55 and 0.65 in sodium sulfate solution are lower than those in sodium chloride solution with the same concentration at the420 th day of immersion. The compressive strength of cement mortar with water/cement ratio of 0.65 is more sensitive to strain rate than that with water/cement ratio of 0.55. In addition, the strain-rate sensitivity of compressive strength of cement mortar will increase under attacks of sodium sulfate or sodium chloride solution. 展开更多

Al7075-Cu composite joints were prepared by the squeeze overcast process.The effects of melt temperature,die temperature,and squeeze pressure on hardness and ultimate tensile strength(UTS)of squeeze overcast Al7075-Cu composite joints were studied.The experimental results depict that squeeze pressure is the most significant process parameter affecting the hardness and UTS.The optimal values of UTS(48 MPa)and hardness(76 HRB)are achieved at a melt temperature of 800℃,a die temperature of 250℃,and a squeeze pressure of 90 MPa.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM)shows that fractured surfaces show flatfaced morphology at the optimal experimental condition.Energy-dispersive spectroscopy(EDS)analysis depicts that the atomic weight percentage of Zn decreases with an increase in melt temperature and squeeze pressure.The optimal mechanical properties of the Al7075-Cu overcast joint were achieved at the Al2Cu eutectic phase due to the large number of copper atoms that dispersed into the aluminum melt during the solidification process and the formation of strong intermetallic bonds.Gray relational analysis integrated with the Taguchi method was used to develop an optimal set of control variables for multi-response parametric optimization.Confirmatory tests were performed to validate the effectiveness of the employed technique.The manufacturing of squeeze overcast Al7075-Cu composite joints at optimal process parameters delivers a great indication to acknowledge a new method for foundry practitioners to manufacture materials with superior mechanical properties. 展开更多
