On the tasis of study in the mathematical model of 3-dimensional ruled surface (RS),this paper introduces a new concept of distance paramcter (DP) and also puts forward that themethod of modeling a RS depends on not only two boundary curves but also DP. According toabove theory, the formulas to calculate corresponding point coordinates to any kind of top and bot-tom profile of a workpiece and formulas to calcuate the maximum inclination angle of ruling linehave been obtained. Then a different top and bottom RS mathining method including profile withline-are combination as well as parametric curves has been achieved by 4-axes simultancous con-trol programming proposed. 展开更多

The information about the nonstationarity of the aus-cultation signal is utilized in this paper to objectively and auto-matically identify healthy people and patients with qi-deficiency or yin-deficiency. In order to characterize the nonstationarity of the sound signal,the nonlinear cross-prediction method is used to extract features from the signal. A feature selection method based on conditional mutual information maximization criterion (CMIM) is implemented to find an optimal feature set. By means of the support vector machine (SVM) classifier,three common states (healthy,qi-deficiency and yin-deficiency) in traditional Chinese medicine are distinguished using the feature set,and a satisfactory classification accuracy of 80% is achieved in the experiment. In conclusion,the analysis based on the nonstationarity of the sound signal provides an alternative and outstanding approach to the objective auscultation of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). 展开更多

The deposit scale in the coal mine shaft usually causes serious accidents, such as making rope broken, cage seized or dropped. To solve this kind of problems, the re-search of the cutting scale mechanism was made, and a new type of removal scale equipment was made with using imported hard alloy material. The cutting experiment and actual cutting show that it can adapt to abominable condition in the shaft, such as narrow space, wet and excessive shaft crevice water and so on, and can work safely and reliably, and has high cutting scale efficiency. It can also cut out the deposit scale in the circular section of shaft. 展开更多

The various components o... The error propagation for general numerical method in ordinarydifferential equations ODEs is studied. Three kinds of convergence, theoretical, numerical and actual convergences, are presented. The various components of round-off error occurring in floating-point computation are fully detailed. By introducing a new kind of recurrent inequality, the classical error bounds for linear multistep methods are essentially improved, and joining probabilistic theory the “normal” growth of accumulated round-off error is derived. Moreover, a unified estimate for the total error of general method is given. On the basis of these results, we rationally interpret the various phenomena found in the numerical experiments in part I of this paper and derive two universal relations which are independent of types of ODEs, initial values and numerical schemes and are consistent with the numerical results. Furthermore, we give the explicitly mathematical expression of the computational uncertainty principle and expound the intrinsic relation between two uncertainties which result from the inaccuracies of numerical method and calculating machine. 展开更多

As the market grows, the demand for fast provisioning of the virtual resources to support elas- tic, manageable, and economical computing over the cloud becomes high. Fast provisioning of large-scale virtual ma- chines (VMs), in particular, is critical to guarantee quality of service (QoS). In this paper, we systematically review the existing VM provisioning schemes and classify them in three main categories. We discuss the features and research status of each category, and introduce two recent solutions, VMThunder and VMThunder+, both of which can provision hundreds of VMs in seconds. 展开更多
