The Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Radio Telescope (FAST) is supported by a cable-net structure, whose change in shape leads to a stress range of approximately 500 MPa. This stress range is more than twice the standard recom- mended value. The cable-net structure is thus the most critical and fragile part of the FAST reflector system. In this study, we first search for a more appropriate deforma- tion strategy that reduces the stress amplitude generated by the process of changing shape. Second, we roughly estimate the tracking trajectory of the telescope during its service life, and conduct an extensive numerical investigation to assess the require- ments for fatigue resistance. Finally, we develop a new type of steel cable system that satisfies the cable requirements for construction of FAST. 展开更多

According to the basic idea of classical yin-yang complementarity and modem dual-complementarity, in a simple and unified new way proposed by Luo, the unconventional Hamilton-type variational principles for geometrically nonlinear elastodynamics of orthogonal cable-net structures are established systematically, which can fully characterize the initial-boundary-value problem of this kind of dynamics. An ifnportant integral relation is made, which can be considered as the generalized principle of virtual work for geometrically nonlinear dynamics of orthogonal cable-net structures in mechanics. Based on such relationship, it is possible not only to obtain the principle of virtual work for geometrically nonlinear dynamics of orthogonal cable-net structures, but also to derive systematically the complementary functionals for five-field, four-field, three-field and two-field unconventional Hamilton-type variational principles, and the functional for the unconventional Hamilton-type variational principle in phase space and the potential energy functional for one-field unconventional Hamilton-type variational principle for geometrically nonlinear elastodynamics of orthogonal cable-net structures by the generalized Legendre transformation given in this paper, Furthermore, the intrinsic relationship among various principles can be explained clearly with this approach. 展开更多

The structural engineering design of not conventional typologies imposes a complex path that begins evaluating procedures of a preliminary design and ends with complex procedures to validate the analysis response. Any guide lines to follow are often available. About complex shapes, in particular, any details are presented in the codes to evaluate wind action and so wind tunnel experiments are necessary to valuate this. The evaluation of wind tunnel data is a complex process that often needs new and specific subroutines programmed by researchers. The difficult increases when the objective is to study a not specific building but general aspects as for examples the dependence of a generic phenomenon by a geometric sample;in this case it is necessary to design and to program numerical subroutines before and then the wind tunnel experiments. Often, these subroutines are left detached and are non-generalizable process. Purpose of this paper is to describe a complete procedure to pre- and post-process wind tunnel data with the objective to design a not convectional structure as a tensile structure. In this particular case the research aim is a parametrization of the aerodynamic behavior of Hyperbolic Paraboloid roofs, shape used for cables net. The reason of the experiments is the absence in the international codes of the pressure coefficients for these geometries. The paper describes the numerical procedure evaluated to choose a sufficient representative geometric sample, the numerical procedure evaluated to design and to construct the wind tunnel models and FE models, the numerical procedure to evaluate and to use for FEM analyses of the wind tunnel data, the numerical procedure to calculate nonlinear structural analysis, and, finally some applications. All these numerical procedures use basic theory derived for example by the cable theory, the fluid mechanic, the nonlinear geometric analysis and other. However specific codes were necessary and were programmed to apply the theories on the specific case of study;the complete methodology followed is presented. The goal is to create a free open domain where the numerical procedures evaluated are merged, added, modified by researchers with the aim to obtain a common space of use for wind engineering of not conventional structure. 展开更多

This paper investigates the effects of structure parameters on dynamic responses of submerged floating tunnel (SFT) under hydrodynamic loads. The structure parameters includes buoyancy-weight ratio (BWR), stiffness coefficients of the cable systems, tunnel net buoyancy and tunnel length. First, the importance of structural damp in relation to the dynamic responses of SPT is demonstrated and the mechanism of structural damp effect is discussed. Thereafter, the fundamental structure parameters are investigated through the analysis of SFT dynamic responses under hydrodynamic loads. The results indicate that the BWR of SFT is a key structure parameter. When BWR is 1.2, there is a remarkable trend change in the vertical dynamic response of SFT under hydrodynamic loads. The results also indicate that the ratio of the tunnel net buoyancy to the cable stiffness coefficient is not a characteristic factor affecting the dynamic responses of SFT under hydrodynamic loads. 展开更多

The analysis of dynamic responses of cable-stayed bridges subjected to wind and earthquake loads generally considers only the motions of the bridge deck and pylons.The influence of the stay cable vibration on the responses of the bridge is either ignored or considered by approximate procedures.The transverse vibration of the stay cables,which can be significant in some cases,are usually neglected in previous research.In the present study,a new three-node cable element has been developed to model the transverse motions of the cables.The interactions between the cable behavior and the other parts of the bridge superstructure are considered by the concept of dynamic stiffness.The nonlinear effect of the cable caused by its self-weight is included in the formulation.Numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed model. The impact of cable vibration behavior on the dynamic characteristics of cable-stayed bridges is discussed. 展开更多

Analyzing the Form-Finding of a Large-Span Transversely Stiffened Suspended Cable System: A Method Considering Construction Processes

The precise control of the shape of transversely stiffened suspended cable systems is crucial. However, existing form-finding methods primarily rely on iterative calculations that treat loads as fixed known conditions. These methods are inefficient and fail to accurately control shape results. In this study, we propose a form-finding method that analyzes the load response of models under different sag and stress levels, taking into account the construction process. To analyze the system, a structural finite element model was established in ANSYS, and geometric nonlinear analysis was conducted using the Newton-Raphson method. The form-finding analysis results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves precise control of shape, with a maximum shape error ranging from 0.33% to 0.98%. Furthermore, the relationships between loads and tension forces are influenced by the deformed shape of the structures, exhibiting significant geometric nonlinear characteristics. Meanwhile, the load response analysis reveals that the stress level of the self-equilibrium state in the transversely stiffened suspended cable system is primarily governed by strength criteria, while shape is predominantly controlled by stiffness criteria. Importantly, by simulating the initial tensioning process as an initial condition, this method solves for a counterweight that satisfies the requirements and achieves a self-equilibrium state with the desired shape. The shape of the self-equilibrium state is precisely controlled by simulating the construction process. Overall, this work presents a new method for analyzing the form-finding process of large-span transversely stiffened suspended cable system, considering the construction process which was often overlooked in previous studies. 展开更多

With the rapid developments of the high-speed railway in China, a great number of long-span bridges have been constructed in order to cross rivers and gorges. At present, the longest main span of a constructed high-speed railway bridge is only 630 m. The main span of Hutong Yangtze River Bridge and of Wufengshan Yangtze River Bridge, which are under construction, will be much longer, at 1092 m each. In order to overcome the technical issues that originate from the extremely large dead loading and the relatively small structural stiffness of long-span high-speed railway bridges, many new technologies in bridge construction, design, materials, and so forth have been developed. This paper carefully reviews progress in the construction technologies of multi-function combined bridges in China, including com- bined highway and railway bridges and multi-track railway bridges. Innovations and practices regarding new types of bridge and composite bridge structures, such as bridges with three cable planes and three main trusses, inclined main trusses, slab-truss composite sections, and steel-concrete composite sections, are introduced. In addition, investigations into high-performance materials and integral fabrication and erection techniques for long-span railway bridges are summarized. At the end of the paper, prospects for the future development of long-span high-speed railwav bridges are provided. 展开更多

单层轮辐式索网结构自重轻盈、造型优美,应用前景广泛,但发展时期不长,其结构设计理论体系仍有待完善。为了提高对单层轮辐式索网结构误差影响的认识,分析了制作安装误差因素对索网性能的影响。首先介绍了单层轮辐式索网的结构形式和采... 单层轮辐式索网结构自重轻盈、造型优美,应用前景广泛,但发展时期不长,其结构设计理论体系仍有待完善。为了提高对单层轮辐式索网结构误差影响的认识,分析了制作安装误差因素对索网性能的影响。首先介绍了单层轮辐式索网的结构形式和采用拉丁超立方抽样的蒙特卡洛法。然后选取苏州工业园区体育场单层轮辐式索网屋盖,通过数值模拟的方法分析拉索长度、截面刚度和耳板坐标三种制作安装误差对该结构拉索索力、环索控制节点坐标和环梁应力等性能指标的影响程度,分析性能指标关于不同制作安装误差的敏感性。最后研究了制作安装误差在不同预应力水平下对索网结构预应力态性能指标的影响。研究结果表明,施工控制过程中需要重点监控环向索索力,对环向索长度误差的控制应比径向索更严格,最外侧下部的环索的弹性模量误差对结构性能指标影响也较为明显,适当提高结构的预应力水平可降低制作安装误差影响。 展开更多

针对杭州体育馆索网结构火灾温度敏感性高、防腐层存在引燃风险的问题,本文综合考虑火源位置、火灾荷载、自动喷水灭火系统与排烟系统有效性等因素确定火灾场景,通过FDS获取能反映大空间特征的火灾升温曲线,计算最不利场景下的构件温升... 针对杭州体育馆索网结构火灾温度敏感性高、防腐层存在引燃风险的问题,本文综合考虑火源位置、火灾荷载、自动喷水灭火系统与排烟系统有效性等因素确定火灾场景,通过FDS获取能反映大空间特征的火灾升温曲线,计算最不利场景下的构件温升,采用ANSYS结合热重试验分析索网结构的防火安全性。研究表明,由于吊顶对火羽流与高温烟气的阻挡,体育馆的最不利火源位置为中央吊顶边缘正下方,索网结构最高温度可达193℃,与场地中央火灾相比,承重索与拉杆的最高温度分别增加约119%与53%。杭州体育馆索网防腐层的引燃温度为244℃,被引燃的风险较低。索网结构构件在最不利荷载组合作用下的承载力与临界温度、结构整体稳定性和跨中最大竖向挠度均满足现行的抗火性能要求。研究结果可为大空间索网结构的抗火设计提供参考。 展开更多

大跨马鞍面索网支承柔性光伏支架的静力及风振响应分析

提出了一种大跨马鞍面索网支承柔性光伏支架结构,可突破现有柔性光伏支架的跨度达到百米级.介绍了该新型柔性光伏支架的结构组成、有限元模型和设计准则.基于提出的设计准则,通过ANSYS有限元软件进行了40~100 m跨度的结构参数设计.选取6... 提出了一种大跨马鞍面索网支承柔性光伏支架结构,可突破现有柔性光伏支架的跨度达到百米级.介绍了该新型柔性光伏支架的结构组成、有限元模型和设计准则.基于提出的设计准则,通过ANSYS有限元软件进行了40~100 m跨度的结构参数设计.选取60×60 m跨度下的基本结构模型探讨了光伏组件倾角和马鞍面索网矢跨比对结构静力响应的影响,并对结构自振特性进行分析.在此基础上对60 m跨度结构模型进行了风振时程分析,考察了不同光伏组件倾角和基本风压下的结构风振响应,计算得到了典型位置处的风振系数建议取值.结果表明,光伏组件倾角对纵向稳定拉索索力影响最大,马鞍面索网矢跨比对承重索索力影响最大.综合考虑安全性和经济性,可取承重索的矢跨比范围为1/20~1/15,稳定索的矢跨比范围为1/25~1/18.此外,根据设计关注重点可取下层矩形马鞍面索网正风下的内力风振系数为1.4,负风下的内力风振系数为4;取上层水平组件索的位移风振系数为1.8.结构的设计分析过程及结果可为实际工程应用提供参考. 展开更多

临沂奥体中心体育场为单层轮辐式索网结构,屋面由刚性外环梁、径向索、环索构成,属于预应力自平衡的全张力结构体系。索结构在运维过程中进行的健康监测受监测点位数量限制。为了从有限测点推演整体结构的变形及受力,基于关键节点相对... 临沂奥体中心体育场为单层轮辐式索网结构,屋面由刚性外环梁、径向索、环索构成,属于预应力自平衡的全张力结构体系。索结构在运维过程中进行的健康监测受监测点位数量限制。为了从有限测点推演整体结构的变形及受力,基于关键节点相对定位理论,提出了结构重要节点相关性的研究方法,并建立了八索模型。从八索模型向外扩展,选用岭回归模型分析了理论计算与模拟数据,验证了该类结构重要节点间的响应数据存在相关性,实现了由已知点求解未知点的响应信息。以索网结构提升过程为研究对象,运用关键节点相对定位方法,对比分析施工模拟结果与实测数据。结果表明,整体结构实测受力及变形数据与模拟结果局部受结构影响偏差较大,但整体规律一致,该定位方法合理可行。 展开更多

铁路、公路沿线的泥石流灾害多发,常因夹杂的块石导致建筑物和构筑物毁损严重,提出一种改进的带支撑-钢管索网组合结构,可实现泥石流灾害中的“水石分离”,其主要拦截泥石流中的块石.利用有限元软件进行数值模拟,对比带不同支撑结构的... 铁路、公路沿线的泥石流灾害多发,常因夹杂的块石导致建筑物和构筑物毁损严重,提出一种改进的带支撑-钢管索网组合结构,可实现泥石流灾害中的“水石分离”,其主要拦截泥石流中的块石.利用有限元软件进行数值模拟,对比带不同支撑结构的动力响应和破坏模式.研究结果表明:该结构有一定的抗冲击性能,可以拦截泥石流块石.带横向支撑结构,支撑钢管与两侧钢管柱节点连接处的内侧先出现单元失效;带侧向大支撑结构和带侧向小支撑结构,两侧钢管约束柱外侧均先出现受拉破坏,其中带侧向小支撑结构的支撑管变形更明显.带侧向大支撑-钢管索网组合结构,钢管与钢绞线连接处,钢管塑性应变明显,出现单元失效,起不到拦截泥石流块石的作用.开展了对比试验研究,位移、加速度的试验和模拟结果吻合较好,数值模拟方法具有一定合理性,该类带支撑结构可以用来防治泥石流的块石冲击. 展开更多

轮辐式索承网格结构在大跨度体育场馆建设中具有显著优势,但其施工过程面临复杂的技术挑战。针对“先索后钢”施工工艺的关键技术难点展开研究,重点分析柔性索网支承条件下上部钢结构安装的稳定性问题,尤其是首榀径向梁吊装阶段的侧向... 轮辐式索承网格结构在大跨度体育场馆建设中具有显著优势,但其施工过程面临复杂的技术挑战。针对“先索后钢”施工工艺的关键技术难点展开研究,重点分析柔性索网支承条件下上部钢结构安装的稳定性问题,尤其是首榀径向梁吊装阶段的侧向稳定性控制。基于实际工程需求,采用有限元数值模拟方法,对钢梁吊装过程中的结构响应进行精细化分析,并通过足尺吊装试验验证模拟结果的准确性。研究表明,合理的临时支撑布置和索力优化可有效提升施工阶段的稳定性,保证结构安装精度。研究成果已应用于广州足球公园球场项目,优化了施工流程,使工期缩短约20%。 展开更多
