In this paper, by analyzing the underlying formation mechanism, the TSE estimation is modeled as the estimation fusion of a fixed bias and a Gaussian random variable. To address the challenge of high computational load induced by the accurate numerical method, two efficient methods are proposed for real-time application, which are called the circle tangent ellipse method(CTEM) and the line tangent ellipse method(LTEM),respectively. Compared with the accurate numerical method and the traditional scalar quantity summation method(SQSM), the computational load and accuracy of these four methods are extensively analyzed. The theoretical and experimental results both show that the computing time of the LTEM is approximately equal to that of the SQSM, while it is only about 1/30 and 1/6 of that of the numerical method and the CTEM. Moreover, the estimation result of the LTEM is parallel with that of the numerical method, but is more accurate than those of the SQSM and the CTEM. It is illustrated that the LTEM is quite appropriate for real-time TSE estimation in RNP application.展开更多

This method adopts the concept of random weighting estimation to estimate the covariance matrices of system state noises and observation noises for controlling the disturbances of singular observations and the kinematic model errors. It satisfies the practical requirements of the residual vector and innovation vector to sufficiently utilize observation information, thus weakening the disturbing effect of the kinematic model error and observation model error on the state parameter estimation. Theories and algorithms of random weighting estimation are established for estimating the covariance matrices of observation residual vectors and innovation vec- tors. This random weighting estimation method provides an effective solution for improving the positioning accuracy in dynamic navigation. Experimental results show that compared with the Kalman filtering, the extended Kalman filtering and the adaptive windowing filtering, the proposed method can adaptively determine the covariance matrices of observation error and state error, effectively resist the disturbances caused by system error and observation error, and significantly improve the positioning accu- racy for dynamic navigation.展开更多

The particular technique discussed involves the continuous rotation of gyros and accelerometers cluster about the vertical axis of the vehicle. Then the errors of these sensors will have periodic variation corresponding to components along the body frame. Under this condition, the modulated sensor errors produce reduced system errors. Theoretical analysis based on a new coordinate system defined as sensing frame and test results are presented, and they indicate the method attenuates the navigation errors brought by the gyros' random constant drift and the accelerometer's bias and their white noise compared to the conventional method.展开更多

Developing high accuracy-aware navigation message designing algorithms is an important topic. This paper investigates the high-accuracy navigation message designing problem with the message structure unchanged. The contributions made in this paper include a heuristic that employs the concept of the estimated range deviation(ERD) to improve the existing well-known navigation message on L1 frequency(NAV) of global positioning system(GPS) for good accuracy service; a numerical analysis approximation method(NAAM) to evaluate the range error due to truncation(RET) of different navigation messages; and a basic positioning parameters designing algorithm in the limited space allocation. Based on the predicted ultra-rapid data from the ultra-rapid data from the international GPS service for geodynamic(IGU), ERDs are generated in real time for error correction.Simulations show that the algorithms developed in this paper are general and flexible, and thus are applicable to NAV improvement and other navigation message designs.展开更多

Experimental results show that compared with the Kalman filtering, the extended Kalman filtering and the adaptive windowing filtering, the proposed method can adaptively determine the covariance matrices of observation error and state error, effectively resist the disturbances caused by system error and observation error, and significantly improve the positioning accu- racy for dynamic navigation.
文摘A method of improving the navigation accuracy of strapdown inertial navigation system (SINS) is studied. The particular technique discussed involves the continuous rotation of gyros and accelerometers cluster about the vertical axis of the vehicle. Then the errors of these sensors will have periodic variation corresponding to components along the body frame. Under this condition, the modulated sensor errors produce reduced system errors. Theoretical analysis based on a new coordinate system defined as sensing frame and test results are presented, and they indicate the method attenuates the navigation errors brought by the gyros' random constant drift and the accelerometer's bias and their white noise compared to the conventional method.

文摘To improve the accuracy of strapdown inertial navigation system(SINS) for long term applications, the rotation technique is employed to modulate the errors of the inertial sensors into periodically varied signals, and,as a result,to suppress the divergence of SINS errors. However, the errors of rotation platform will be introduced into SINS and might affect the final navigation accuracy.Considering the disadvantages of the conventional navigation computation scheme,an improved computation scheme of the SINS using rotation technique is proposed which can reduce the effects of the rotation platform errors. And,the error characteristics of the SINS with this navigation computation scheme are analyzed.Theoretical analysis, simulations and real test results show that the proposed navigation computation scheme outperforms the conventional navigation computation scheme, meanwhile reduces the requirement to the measurement accuracy of rotation angles.

文摘For Inertial Navigation System(INS)/Celestial Navigation System(CNS)/Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS)integrated navigation system of the missile, the performance of data fusion algorithms based on the Cubature Kalman Filter(CKF)is seriously degraded when there are non-Gaussian noise and process-modeling errors in the system model. Therefore,a novel method is proposed, which is called Optimal Data Fusion algorithm based on the Adaptive Fading maximum Correntropy generalized high-degree CKF(AFCCKF-ODF).First,the Adaptive Fading maximum Correntropy generalized high-degree CKF(AFCCKF)is proposed and used as the local filter for the INS/GNSS and INS/CNS subsystems to improve the robustness of local state estimation. Then, the local state estimation is fused based on the minimum variance principle and highdegree cubature criterion to get the globally optimal state. Finally, the experimental results verify that the proposed algorithm can significantly improve the robustness of the missile-borne INS/CNS/GNSS integrated navigation system to non-Gaussian noise and process modeling error and obtain the global optimal navigation information.

文摘To derive meaningful navigation strategies, animals have to estimate their directional headings in the environment.Accordingly, this function is achieved by the head direction cells that were found in mammalian brains, whose neural activities encode one’s heading direction. It is believed that such head direction information is generated by integrating self-motion cues, which also introduces accumulative errors in the long term.To eliminate such errors, this paper presents an efficient calibration model that mimics the animals’behavior by exploiting visual cues in a biologically plausible way,and then implements it in robotic navigation tasks. The proposed calibration model allows the agent to associate its head direction and the perceived egocentric direction of a visual cue with its position and orientation, and therefore to calibrate the head direction when the same cue is viewed again. We examine the proposed head direction calibration model in extensive simulations and real-world experiments and demonstrate its excellent performance in terms of quick association of information to proximal or distal cues as well as accuracy of calibrating the integration errors of the head direction.Videos can be viewed at https://videoviewsite.wixsite.com/hdc-calibration.

文摘Navigation message designing with high accuracy guarantee is the key to efficient navigation message distribution in the global navigation satellite system(GNSS). Based on the predicted ultra-rapid data from the ultra-rapid data from the international GPS service for geodynamic(IGU), ERDs are generated in real time for error correction.Simulations show that the algorithms developed in this paper are general and flexible, and thus are applicable to NAV improvement and other navigation message designs.

文摘Owing to the weak observability of the azimuth misalignment angle, alignment accuracy and time are always the contradictory issues in the initial alignment process of Strapdown Inertial Navigation System(SINS),which requires a compromise between them.In this paper,a combined alignment mechanism is proposed to construct an observable and controllable system model, which can effectively achieve higher azimuth alignment accuracy during the fixed time period.First, the Reduced Order Kalman Filter(ROKF)alignment algorithm was utilized to calculate the misalignment angles in parallel with the classical gyrocompass alignment algorithm. Then, the misalignment angles calculated by the gyrocompass alignment method were used to formulate the augmented measurement model with zero velocity models. Finally, the zero velocity model of the ROKF method was switched into the augmented measurement model when the azimuth misalignment angle of the gyrocompass alignment method was close to steady situation. The combined alignment method was analyzed reasonably by the observability and the mathematical deduction. The comparison results of the numerical simulation and the experimental data test showed that the combined method had good performance in terms of estimation accuracy and consistency of the alignment results.
