The loading cycle time was used to assess the material loading system performance which is one of the key components of the total cycle time for material transportation in an open-pit mine. Loading is among the components of cycle time during which material is being handled. The data analyzed?was?collected from a computerized dispatch system at GGM from which 62,000 loading dispatches per month involving several shifts, 14 excavators and 49 trucks were loaded. About 4465 dispatches per excavator and 1276 dispatches per truck were assessed using loading cycle time data for each dispatch for a period of four months (between August and December). Under fixed tonnage loaded and waste type (33 t of non-acid forming waste rock),?it was observed that loading cycle time depends on excavator model, location and truck being loaded. Average cycle times, PDFS?and CDFS of loading cycle time series were used to identify differences in performance under different situations. It was concluded that shift availability for excavators, loading location, excavator model and truck-shovel combinations strongly affect the productivity during loading process in an open-pit mine.展开更多

Continuous improvements in the accuracy of surface mass loading products, performance of Earth models, and precise data-processing technologies have significantly advanced research on the effects of environmental loading on nonlinear variations in GNSS coordinate time series. However, owing to theoretical limitations, the lack of high spatiotemporal resolution surface mass observations, and the coupling of GNSS technology-related systematic errors, environmental loading and nonlinear GNSS reference station displacements remain inconsistent. The applicability and capability of these loading products across different regions also require further evaluation. This paper outlines methods for modeling environmental loading, surface mass loading products, and service organizations. In addition, it summarizes recent advances in applying environmental loading to address nonlinear variations in global and regional GNSS coordinate time series. Moreover, the scientific questions of existing studies are summarized, and insights into future research directions are provided. The complex nonlinear motion of reference stations is a major factor limiting the accuracy of the current terrestrial reference frame. Further refining the environmental load modeling method, establishing a surface mass distribution model with high spatiotemporal resolution and reliability, exploring other environmental load factors such as ice sheet and artificial mass-change effects, and developing an optimal data-processing model and strategy for reprocessing global reference station data consistently could contribute to the development of a millimeter-level nonlinear motion model for GNSS reference stations with actual physical significance and provide theoretical support for establishing a terrestrial reference frame with 1 mm accuracy by 2050.展开更多

The MSC can provide larger lateral bearing capacity and limit the deflection compared with the RSC. Therefore, the MSC can be much more appropriate to use as an offshore wind turbine foundation. Model tests on the MSC in saturated sand subjected to monotonic lateral loading were carried out to investigate the effects of external structure sizes on the sand surface deformation and the earth pressure distribution along the embedded depth. Test results show that the deformation range of the sand surface increases with the increasing width and length of the external structure. The magnitude of sand upheaval around the MSC is smaller than that of the RSC and the sand upheaval value around the MSC in the loading direction decreases with the increasing external structure dimensions. The net earth pressure in the loading direction acting on the internal compartment of the MSC is smaller than that of the RSC at the same embedded depth. The maximum net earth pressure acting on the external structure outer wall in the loading direction is larger than that of the internal compartment, indicating that a considerable amount of the lateral load and moment is resisted by the external skirt structure.展开更多

文摘Nonlinear variations in the coordinate time series of global navigation satellite system(GNSS) reference stations are strongly correlated with surface displacements caused by environmental loading effects, including atmospheric, hydrological, and nontidal ocean loading. Further refining the environmental load modeling method, establishing a surface mass distribution model with high spatiotemporal resolution and reliability, exploring other environmental load factors such as ice sheet and artificial mass-change effects, and developing an optimal data-processing model and strategy for reprocessing global reference station data consistently could contribute to the development of a millimeter-level nonlinear motion model for GNSS reference stations with actual physical significance and provide theoretical support for establishing a terrestrial reference frame with 1 mm accuracy by 2050.

文摘The modified suction caisson(MSC) is a novel type of foundation for ocean engineering, consisting of a short external closed-top cylinder-shaped structure surrounding the upper part of the regular suction caisson(RSC). The maximum net earth pressure acting on the external structure outer wall in the loading direction is larger than that of the internal compartment, indicating that a considerable amount of the lateral load and moment is resisted by the external skirt structure.

文摘In this study,a uniaxial cyclic compression test is conducted on coal-rock composite structures under two cyclic loads using MTSE45.104 testing apparatus to investigate the macro-mesoscopic deformation, damage behavior, and energy evolution characteristics of these structures under different cyclic stress disturbances.Three loading and unloading rates(LURs)are tested to examine the damage behaviors and energy-driven characteristics of the composites. The findings reveal that the energy-driven behavior, mechanical properties, and macro-micro degradation characteristics of the composites are significantly influenced by the loading rate.Under the gradual cyclic loading and unloading(CLU)path with a constant lower limit(path I)and the CLU path with variable upper and lower boundaries(path II),an increase in LURs from 0.05 to 0.15 mm/min reduces the average loading time by 32.39%and 48.60%,respectively.Consequently,the total number of cracks in the samples increases by 1.66-fold for path I and 1.41-fold for path II.As LURs further increase, the energy storage limit of samples expands, leading to a higher proportion of transmatrix and shear cracks.Under both cyclic loading conditions,a broader cyclic stress range promotes energy dissipation and the formation of internal fractures.Notably,at higher loading rates, cracks tend to propagate along primary weak surfaces, leading to an increased incidence of intermatrix fractures. This behavior indicates a microscopic feature of the failure mechanisms in composite structures. These results provide a theoretical basis for elucidating the damage and failure characteristics of coal-rock composite structures under cyclic stress disturbances.
文摘Load time series analysis is critical for resource management and optimization decisions, especially automated analysis techniques.Existing research has insufficiently interpreted the overall characteristics of samples, leading to significant differences in load level detection conclusions for samples with different characteristics(trend, seasonality, cyclicality).Achieving automated,feature-adaptive,and quantifiable analysis methods remains a challenge. This paper proposes a Threshold Recognition-based Load Level Detection Algorithm(TRLLD),which effectively identifies different load level regions in samples of arbitrary size and distribution type based on sample characteristics.By utilizing distribution density uniformity, the algorithm classifies data points and ultimately obtains normalized load values. In the feature recognition step, the algorithm employs the Density Uniformity Index Based on Differences(DUID),High Load Level Concentration(HLLC),and Low Load Level Concentration(LLLC)to assess sample characteristics, which are independent of specific load values, providing a standardized perspective on features, ensuring high efficiency and strong interpretability.Compared to traditional methods, the proposed approach demonstrates better adaptive and real-time analysis capabilities.Experimental results indicate that it can effectively identify high load and low load regions in 16 groups of time series samples with different load characteristics, yielding highly interpretable results. The correlation between the DUID and sample density distribution uniformity reaches 98.08%.When introducing 10% MAD intensity noise, the maximum relative error is 4.72%,showcasing high robustness.Notably,it exhibits significant advantages in general and low sample scenarios.

文摘The behavior of rigid piles in sandy soils under one-way cyclic oblique tensile loading represents a critical design consideration for floating renewable devices. These piles, when moored with catenary or taut moorings, experience one-way cyclic tensile loads at inclinations ranging from 0°(horizontal)to 90°(vertical).However,the combined effects of cyclic loading and load inclination remain inadequately understood. This study presents findings from centrifuge tests conducted on rough rigid piles installed in dense sand samples. The results demonstrate that load inclinations significantly influence both cyclic response and ultimate capacity of the piles.Based on the observed cyclic response characteristics, the vertical cyclic load amplitude should not exceed 25%of the ultimate bearing capacity to maintain pile stability.A power expression(with exponent m values ranging from 0.055 to 0.065)is proposed for predicting cumulative pile displacement under unidirectional cyclic loading at inclinations from 0°to 60°.The cyclic response exhibits reduced sensitivity to horizontal cyclic load magnitude, with m-value increasing from 0.06 to 0.14 as load magnitude increases from 0.3 to 0.9.For piles maintaining stability under oblique cyclic loading, the average normalized secant stiffness exceeds 1 and increases with decreasing inclination, indicating enhanced pile stiffness under cyclic loading. For load inclinations below 30°,pile stiffness can be determined using logarithmic function.

文摘A coal-loaded charge induction monitoring system is developed to effectively forecast the dynamic disasters caused by coal failure.Specifically,a digital finite impulse response(FIR)filter is designed to denoise and filter the signal, and the time-frequency domain evolution of induced charge signals is analyzed during coal failure experiments. The quantitative relationships between the induced electric charge and stress-strain energy, and ultimately, between induced electric charge and coal deformation/failure,are revealed.Ultimately, the electric charge sensor exhibits high signal collection frequency and high sensitivity, and the FIR low-pass filter constructed in MATLAB effectively denoises and filters induced charge signals. The main frequency range of the white noise is 50-500 Hz,and the main frequency of the charge signal induced by coal deformation and failure is concentrated in the range of 0-50 Hz.The optimal distances for monitoring cubic and cylindrical raw coal samples using this sensor are 9 mm and 11 mm,respectively.Notably, strain energy is released faster when it can dissipate more readily, and induced charge pulses become denser when more intense signals produce large fluctuations.A method is proposed to identify coal deformation and failure based on changes in the induced electric charge. This study provides a new means of monitoring the early warning signs of dynamic coal mine disasters.Based on our experimental results and conclusions,a new method is proposed to identify coal deformation and failure based on changes in the induced electric charge. The precursor to the moment of coal failure can be identified by monitoring the amplitude of the induced charge, the dynamic trend of fluctuation, and the cumulative number of induced electric charge pulses during the process of coal deformation.

文摘Structural health monitoring(SHM)in service has attracted increasing attention for years.Load localization on a structure is studied hereby. Two algorithms,i.e.,support vector machine(SVM)method and back propagation neural network(BPNN)algorithm, are proposed to identify the loading positions individually. The feasibility of the suggested methods is evaluated through an experimental program on a carbon fiber reinforced plastic laminate. The experimental tests involve in application of four optical fiber-based sensors for strain measurement at discrete points. The sensors are specially designed fiber Bragg grating(FBG)in small diameter. The small-diameter FBG sensors are arrayed in 2-D on the laminate surface. The testing results indicate that the loading position could be detected by the proposed method.Using SVM method, the 2-D FBG sensors can approximate the loading location with maximum error less than 14 mm.However, the maximum localization error could be limited to about 1 mm by applying the BPNN algorithm. It is mainly because the convergence conditions(mean square error)can be set in advance, while SVM cannot.
文摘The purpose of this study is to verify the physiological effect and describe the intensity of training in response to internal and external loads, through Session Rate of Perceived Exertion and Speed High Intensity Distance in Meters reports,on professional soccer players engaged in weekly training(199 Sessions,43 weeks)and league games(32 official matches).Twenty-two male professional soccer players(n=22)of the Italian national championship under-19 are involved in this study during the season 2014-2015.Daily,Weekly and Monthly RPE(perceived exertion)Session(Borg CR-10 Scale)is a good indicator of the amount of work done:training time multiplied by perceived effort(TL=Training Time×RPE).With Arbitrary units(a.u.)produced by the individual and used for team-based data analysis,we analyze the intensity produced by workout depending on the working time.Furthermore,by means of global positioning system technology(K-Sport,Montelabbate PU,Italy 10 Hz),we statistically established the existing relationship with high intensity speed distance(>16 km/h)and session rate of perceived exertion to describe how the internal(represented by the sum of the stresses that the body undergoes an external load;is strictly subjective)and external loads(the objective quantification of the means used in training km routes, running speed, slope, type of recovery),are correlated(r=0.87,p<0.01,95%CI).The statistical analysis highlights how these methods are suitable to quantifying the high-intensity work done by the soccer player during the workout and the game.
文摘This paper proposes a multi-objective index-based approach to optimally determine the size and location of multi-distributed generators (DG) units in distribution system with different load models. It is shown that load models can significantly affect the optimal location and sizing of DG resources in distribution systems. The proposed multi-objective function to be optimized includes a short circuit level parameter to represent the protective device requirements. The proposed function also considers a wide range of technical issues such as active and reactive power losses of the system, the voltage profile, the line loading and the MVA intake by the grid. The optimization technique based on particle swarm optimization (PSO) is introduced. The analysis of continuation power flow to determine the effect of DG units on the most sensitive buses to voltage collapse is carried out. The proposed algorithm is tested using the 38-bus radial system and the IEEE 30-bus meshed system. The results show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
文摘Ice load on underwater vehicles breaking through ice covers from underneath is a significant concern for researchers in polar exploration, and the research on this problem is still in its early stages. Both mechanical experimental measurement and numerical simulation pose research challenges. This study focuses on the ice load of a cylinder structure breaking upward through the ice sheet form underneath in the Small Ice Model Basin of China Ship Scientific Research Center(CSSRC SIMB).A high-speed camera system was employed to observe the ice sheet failure during the tests,in which, with the loading position as center, local radial cracks and circumferential cracks were generated.A load sensor was used to measure the overall ice load during this process.Meanwhile,a numerical model was developed using LS-DYNA for validation and comparison. With this model, numerical simulation was conducted under various ice thicknesses and upgoing speeds to analyze the instantaneous curves of ice load. The calculation results were statistically analyzed under different working conditions to determine the influence of the factors on the ice load of the cylinder. The study explores the measurement method about ice load of objects vertically breaking through model ice sheet and is expected to provide some fundamental insights into the safety design of underwater structures operating in ice waters.
