A new method was proposed for the multiaxial creep-fatigue life evaluation under proportional loadings. Because this method was derived from the strain range partitioning method with a multiaxiality factor, it was possible to consider the influence of both creep-fatigue interaction and multiaxial stress state on fatigue life. In order to predict the combined axial-torsional fatigue life the damage under combined loading was defined as linear summation of the damages under axial loading and torsional loading. Axial-torsional creep-fatigue tests were carried out using tubular specimens of 316LC austenitic stainless steel and the ferritic rotor steel. This rotor steel was developed for the permanent magnet type eddy current retarder in heavy trucks. Experimentally obtained lives of both steels were well corresponded with the lives predicted by the proposed method. It was found that the proposed method was effective in multiaxial fatigue life evaluation under proportional creep-fatigue loadings. 展开更多

Fatigue damage of materials includes static damage and cyclic damage.Static damage is a ratio of the plastic energy in first static loading to the statictoughness, while cyclic damage is the ratio of the cyclic plastic hysteresis energy to thefatigue toughness. In the calculation, cyclic hardening (or softening) of a material istaken into account, which results in the increase (or decrease) of the yield stress. Forsimplification, it is assumed that stress and strain in cyclic loading vary in accordancewith the hysteresis loop. Fatigue toughness of a material can be detennined bysymmetric cyclic stress controlled fatigue test. A method, rational and convenient forengineering, is proposed to estimate the fatigue life under random loading based onplastic hysteresis energy theorem. Lightweight design requires an accurate life prediction for structures and components under service loading histories. However, predicted life with the existing methods seems too conservative in some cases, leading to a heavy structure. Because these methods are established on the basis that load cycles would only cause fatigue damage, ignore the strengthening effect of loads. Based on Palmgren-Miner Rule (PMR), this paper introduces a new method for fatigue life prediction under service loadings by taking into account the strengthening effect of loads below the fatigue limit. In this method, the service loadings are classified into three categories: damaging load, strengthening load and none-effect load, and the process for fatigue life prediction is divided into two stages: stage I and stage II, according to the best strengthening number of cycles. During stage I, fatigue damage is calculated considering both the strengthening and damaging effect of load cycles. While during stage II, only the damaging effect is considered. To validate this method, fatigue lives of automobile half shaft and torsion beam rear axle are calculated based on the new method and traditional methods, such as PMR and Modified Miner Rule (MMR), and fatigue tests of the two components are conducted under service loading histories. The tests results show that the percentage errors of the predicted life with the new method to mean life of tests for the two components are –3.78% and –1.76% separately, much lesser than that with PMR and MMR. By considering the strengthening effect of loads below the fatigue limit, the new method can significantly improve the accuracy for fatigue life prediction. Thus lightweight design can be fully realized in the design stage. 展开更多

A large amount of cutting heat is produced during the heavy cutting process,and insert life is restricted by the effect of thermal load.The thermal load experiment of cemented carbide SCS,WF and YT15 is carried out,and the results show that the bending strength and fracture toughness of cemented carbide material decrease obviously under cyclic thermal load,while in the cooling process,the material mechanical property changes worse suddenly.The high-temperature mechanical property of SCS is the most stable,and that of YT15 is the worst.Further,a relation model among cutting temperature,cutting parameters and insert life is established.Finally,the measures to improve heavy cemented carbide inserts life are summarized from the aspects of cutting parameters selection,insert optimization design and TiCN,Al2O3,TiN complex insert coating.The research results are expected to provide support and reference for heavy cutting technology and insert technology. 展开更多

Overloading and Pavement Service Life <br/>—A Case Study on Narayanghat-Mugling Road, Nepal

The ability of a pavement structure in carrying out its function reduces in line with the increase of traffic load, especially if there are overloaded heavy vehicle passing through the road. This study was done to know the effect of overloading vehicles on the road pavement and remaining service life of the pavement. In this study, the service life of pavement due to overloaded vehicles was analyzed using the AASHTO 1993. In Narayanghat-Mugling road the composition of traffic seems to be 83.76% heavy vehicles, 9.18% medium vehicle and 7.05% light vehicle. For the direction of Narayanghat-Mugling, the pavement service life might be reduced by 59.90% due to overloading condition, while for the opposite direction, the service life would not reduced caused by the same factor. The impact of overload conditions on the road pavement showed premature failure;that is, a condition which the damage reduced the life of roads before the design life of the road is reached. From the results, it can be concluded that overloaded vehicles on the road are very influential to the reduction in pavement service life. Therefore, it is expected that road users to comply with existing regulations in the conduct of transportation. As overloading is increasing, it has to be controlled by rules and regulations with penalty to control the overloading. So fines must be associated with intensified enforcement when considered in further strategy. Regular monitoring, inspection and enforcement are the effective ways to control overloading. Use of technology (Automatic overloading information system) may be the effective way to control the overloading. 展开更多

Single row four-point contact ball slewing bearing being used as a case, the statics model of the slewing bearing was established and a set of equilibrium equations were obtained. By solving the equilibrium equatioas, the rolling element loads were obtained and the equivalent rolling element loads were calculated further. By using the geometrical parameters of the bearing, the rating rolling element loads were calculated, and the fa- tigue life of the bearing was calculated by using the rating rolling element loads and the equivalent rolling element loads. The application of prestressed carbon reinforced polymer (prestressed CFRP) in reinforced concrete (RC) members can improve the mechanical properties of strengthened structures and strengthening efficiency. This paper proposed a semi-empirical prediction fornmla of fatigue lives of the RC beams strengthened with prestressed CFRP under bending loads. The formula is established based on the fatigue life prediction method of RC beams and fatigue experimental data of non-prestressed CFRP reinforced beams done before. Fatigue effect coefficient of the formula was confirmed by the fatigue experiments of the RC beams strengthened with prestressed carbon fiber laminate (prestressed CFL) under cyclic bending loads. Fatigue lives of the strengthened beams predicted using the formula agreed well with the experimental data. 展开更多

Qingdao Jiaozhou Bay subsea tunnel is the second self-built tunnel in China with the designed service life over 100 years.The durability of lining concrete are one of an important factors to determinate the service life of tunnel.Considering the main environmental loads and mechanical loads of subsea tunnel,the durability properties of lining concrete under combined action of compressive load and carbonation has been studied through the critical compressive load test,accelerated carbonation test,natural carbonation test and capillary suction test.The tests results show that critical compressive load apparently accelerates the carbonation and deteriorates the anti-permeability of concrete.Under the combined action of critical compressive load and carbonation,the durability of lining concrete decreases.Based on the carbonization life criteria and research results,for the high-performance concrete with proposed mix ratio,the predicted service life of lining concrete for Jiaozhou bay subsea tunnel is about 80 years which fails to reach the required service life.It is necessary to adopt other measurements simultaneously to improve the durability of lining concrete. 展开更多

针对某型纯电动乘用车减速器壳体疲劳寿命分析,存在开发周期长、预测结果差等问题,提出了一种基于设计载荷谱的某型纯电动乘用车减速器壳体疲劳寿命分析方法。本文利用采集减速器实测载荷谱,采用雨流计数法获取载荷谱均幅值频次分布,采... 针对某型纯电动乘用车减速器壳体疲劳寿命分析,存在开发周期长、预测结果差等问题,提出了一种基于设计载荷谱的某型纯电动乘用车减速器壳体疲劳寿命分析方法。本文利用采集减速器实测载荷谱,采用雨流计数法获取载荷谱均幅值频次分布,采用威布尔分布模型和正态分布模型分别对幅值与均值进行检验,并用参数法外推获得全寿命周期,以此推断恶劣工况极大载荷值,采用雨流矩阵模拟法获取时域重构设计载荷谱。在此基础上,建立减速器有限元模型,并基于实测载荷谱进行模型验证,分别在实测载荷谱和设计载荷谱2种载荷作用下,进行仿真分析,采用名义应力法,结合线性累积损伤理论和修正材料的S-N曲线对壳体进行疲劳寿命分析。结果表明,实测载荷谱和设计载荷谱作用下减速器壳体的损伤值相差较小,在保留计算精度的情况下,设计载荷谱能极大缩短减速器疲劳开发周期。 展开更多

目的探讨在不同丙氨酸氨基转移酶(alanine aminotransferase,ALT)状态下乙型肝炎病毒对女性乙型肝炎(简称乙肝)患者性激素水平、绝经、睡眠、抑郁、焦虑及生活质量的影响。方法分层随机选取不同ALT状态下不同病毒载量的女性慢性乙肝患者... 目的探讨在不同丙氨酸氨基转移酶(alanine aminotransferase,ALT)状态下乙型肝炎病毒对女性乙型肝炎(简称乙肝)患者性激素水平、绝经、睡眠、抑郁、焦虑及生活质量的影响。方法分层随机选取不同ALT状态下不同病毒载量的女性慢性乙肝患者306例,分别比较分析在不同ALT状态下,乙型肝炎病毒对性激素水平、绝经、睡眠、抑郁、焦虑及生活质量的影响。并对ALT≥2倍正常上限的110例女性慢性乙肝患者进行抗病毒治疗,随访24周,对比分析抗病毒治疗前后患者上述指标的变化。结果在ALT正常组及正常上限≤ALT<2倍正常上限组中不同病毒载量的乙型肝炎病毒对女性慢性乙肝患者性激素水平、绝经、睡眠、抑郁、焦虑及生活质量的影响无明显差异,而在ALT≥2倍正常上限组中,随病毒载量升高(低复制组→高复制组):雌二醇质量浓度从(84.20±7.78)pg/mL降至(64.60±9.18)pg/mL,睾酮质量浓度从(0.33±0.02)ng/mL升至(0.45±0.04)ng/mL,卵泡生成激素浓度从(47.82±7.62)mIU/mL升至(59.68±7.19)mIU/mL,绝经率从55.56%升至86.11%,匹兹堡睡眠质量指数从11.02±0.52升至15.93±0.71,焦虑自评量表评分从46.06±4.92升至64.66±6.18,抑郁自评量表评分从44.14±5.47升至67.08±4.57,生活质量各维度均显著下降,差异均有统计学意义(P<0.05)。对ALT≥2倍正常上限的110例女性患者行抗病毒治疗后,雌二醇明显增高,睾酮及卵泡生成激素明显下降,各项睡眠指标和抑郁、焦虑评分明显下降,而各项生活质量指标明显升高(均P<0.05)。结论在不同ALT状态下乙型肝炎病毒对女性乙肝患者的影响机制不同,对于ALT≥2倍正常上限的患者积极进行抗病毒治疗可明显改善女性患者性激素水平及各项生理心理指标,从而提高生活质量。 展开更多

高铁接触网无螺栓整体吊弦载荷谱编制与磨损失效损伤分析

随着我国高铁运行速度提升至350 km/h,接触网吊弦在高频振动、高应力循环下的疲劳失效问题日益凸显,传统螺栓连接吊弦因应力集中易断裂,而无螺栓整体吊弦的失效机理和寿命预测研究尚不完善。针对无螺栓整体吊弦采用弓网动力学仿真模拟... 随着我国高铁运行速度提升至350 km/h,接触网吊弦在高频振动、高应力循环下的疲劳失效问题日益凸显,传统螺栓连接吊弦因应力集中易断裂,而无螺栓整体吊弦的失效机理和寿命预测研究尚不完善。针对无螺栓整体吊弦采用弓网动力学仿真模拟吊弦在实际运行中的动态响应,提出一种基于自适应核密度估计和蒙特卡洛模拟的疲劳载荷谱编制方法,编制适用于工作条件的疲劳载荷谱,创新性地表征了实际工况下的载荷分布特性。其次,以无螺栓整体吊弦为研究对象,开展吊弦疲劳试验,通过电子显微镜观察和分析磨损断面特征,分析其失效机理。最后,通过对吊弦磨损过程的分析研究,建立磨损量模型,计算不同工况下的吊弦磨损寿命,并与编制好的疲劳载荷谱进行对比验证。研究结果表明,吊弦的磨损过程可划分为3个阶段,即初期磨损阶段、稳定磨损阶段和急剧磨损阶段,其中当吊弦上部磨损厚度达到8 mm时,可判定吊弦已达到失效状态;通过对试验获得的寿命数据进行数学拟合,采用逆幂律模型绘制了无螺栓整体吊弦的磨损寿命曲线,反映了其疲劳寿命随载荷变化的规律。此外,疲劳载荷谱所对应的累积磨损损伤值与单次列车通过吊弦时产生的磨损损伤值基本一致,验证了所编制疲劳载荷谱的准确性和实用性。研究结果为进一步降低接触网运行维护成本与新型吊弦寿命评估提供参考。 展开更多

针对15000 m特深井钻井作业中顶驱齿轮箱面临的高承载、高可靠性要求,以及在复杂交变载荷作用下箱体疲劳失效行为不明确、寿命难以精准预测的工程难题,提出了一种结合有限元仿真分析、S-N曲线多维修正与Morrow-Manson-Coffin算法的箱体... 针对15000 m特深井钻井作业中顶驱齿轮箱面临的高承载、高可靠性要求,以及在复杂交变载荷作用下箱体疲劳失效行为不明确、寿命难以精准预测的工程难题,提出了一种结合有限元仿真分析、S-N曲线多维修正与Morrow-Manson-Coffin算法的箱体疲劳寿命预测方案。该方案通过建立顶驱齿轮箱箱体三维有限元模型,引入疲劳缺口系数、尺寸系数和表面系数对材料基础S-N曲线进行多维修正,获取适用于实际工况的弯曲疲劳特性曲线;深度结合现场服役监测数据,构建涵盖正常钻进与极端卡钻工况下的起钻载荷谱,应用Morrow-Manson-Coffin算法计算不同恒幅载荷下的疲劳寿命,并定量分析残余应力对疲劳性能的影响机制。研究及试验结果表明:箱体疲劳寿命与起下钻作业中的轴向载荷峰值呈现显著对数递减关系,随载荷增加寿命急剧缩短,且残余拉应力显著加速疲劳损伤,残余压应力则有效延缓失效;疲劳失效位置表现出明确倾向性,仿真锁定箱体前提环销外侧边缘为最薄弱环节,该区域应力集中效应最为显著;综合考量15000 m设计井深及极端恶劣工况,箱体预测疲劳寿命超过45 a,远超标准要求,验证了结构设计的合理性与可靠性;该方法解决了特深井关键承载部件在多变量耦合环境下的疲劳寿命评估难题。所得结论可为顶驱及相关深部资源钻采动力装备的结构优化设计、抗疲劳制造工艺改进及全寿命周期可靠性评价提供重要理论依据与技术参考。 展开更多

为深入探究循环载荷与温度对交联乙烯-四氟乙烯(cross-linked ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene,XLETFE)柔性电缆绝缘层疲劳寿命的影响机制,基于COMSOL有限元分析平台,耦合固体力学、固体传热和疲劳寿命模块开展仿真研究,构建航空航天用XL-... 为深入探究循环载荷与温度对交联乙烯-四氟乙烯(cross-linked ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene,XLETFE)柔性电缆绝缘层疲劳寿命的影响机制,基于COMSOL有限元分析平台,耦合固体力学、固体传热和疲劳寿命模块开展仿真研究,构建航空航天用XL-ETFE绝缘柔性电缆多物理场仿真模型。结果表明:当温度从298 K升至423 K的过程中,XL-ETFE绝缘的热应力峰值由781 MPa增至990 MPa,提高了26.76%;与此同时,最大热形变也由1060μm增至1080μm,增大了1.89%,表明温度对绝缘层力学性能具有显著影响。此外,XL-ETFE绝缘的疲劳寿命随其与机械约束距离的减小而逐渐减小,失效循环次数低至1650次;当温度升高至423 K时,失效循环次数进一步下降至1200次,降幅达27.27%,表明热应力累积与机械约束是疲劳失效的主控因素,为航空航天领域XL-ETFE绝缘柔性电缆的设计优化提供了重要的理论依据。 展开更多
