We assume episodic memories of t...This paper focuses on developing a system that allows presentation authors to effectively retrieve presentation slides for reuse from a large volume of existing presentation materials. We assume episodic memories of the authors can be used as contextual keywords in query expressions to efficiently dig out the expected slides for reuse rather than using only the part-of-slide-descriptions-based keyword queries. As a system, a new slide repository is proposed, composed of slide material collections, slide content data and pieces of information from authors' episodic memories related to each slide and presentation together with a slide retrieval application enabling authors to use the episodic memories as part of queries. The result of our experiment shows that the episodic memory-used queries can give more discoverability than the keyword-based queries. Additionally, an improvement model is discussed on the slide retrieval for further slide-finding efficiency by expanding the episodic memories model in the repository taking in the links with the author-and-slide-related data and events having been post on the private and social media sites.展开更多
BACKGROUND Linked color imaging(LCI) is a method of endoscopic imaging that emphasizes slight differences in red mucosal color.AIM To evaluate LCI in diagnostic endoscopy of early gastric cancer and to compare LCI and...BACKGROUND Linked color imaging(LCI) is a method of endoscopic imaging that emphasizes slight differences in red mucosal color.AIM To evaluate LCI in diagnostic endoscopy of early gastric cancer and to compare LCI and pathological findings.METHODS Endoscopic images were obtained for 39 patients(43 lesions) with early gastric cancer. Three endoscopists evaluated lesion recognition with white light imaging(WLI) and LCI. Color values in Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage(CIE)1976 L*a*b* color space were used to calculate the color difference(ΔE) between cancer lesions and non-cancer areas. After endoscopic submucosal dissection,blood vessel density in the surface layer of the gastric epithelium was evaluated pathologically. The identical region of interest was selected for analyses of endoscopic images(WLI and LCI) and pathological analyses.RESULTS LCI was superior for lesion recognition(P < 0.0001), and ΔE between cancer and non-cancer areas was significantly greater with LCI than WLI(29.4 vs 18.6, P <0.0001). Blood vessel density was significantly higher in cancer lesions(5.96% vs4.15%, P = 0.0004). An a* cut-off of ≥ 24 in CIE 1976 L*a*b* color space identified a cancer lesion using LCI with sensitivity of 76.7%, specificity of 93.0%, and accuracy of 84.9%.CONCLUSION LCI is more effective for recognition of early gastric cancer compared to WLI as a result of improved visualization of changes in redness. Surface blood vessel density was significantly higher in cancer lesions, and this result is consistent with LCI image analysis.展开更多
The application of reliability analysis and reliability sensitivity analysis methods to complicated structures faces two main challenges:small failure probability(typical less than 10-5)and time-demanding mechanical m...The application of reliability analysis and reliability sensitivity analysis methods to complicated structures faces two main challenges:small failure probability(typical less than 10-5)and time-demanding mechanical models.This paper proposes an improved active learning surrogate model method,which combines the advantages of the classical Active Kriging–Monte Carlo Simulation(AK-MCS)procedure and the Adaptive Linked Importance Sampling(ALIS)procedure.The proposed procedure can,on the one hand,adaptively produce a series of intermediate sampling density approaching the quasi-optimal Importance Sampling(IS)density,on the other hand,adaptively generate a set of intermediate surrogate models approaching the true failure surface of the rare failure event.Then,the small failure probability and the corresponding reliability sensitivity indices are efficiently estimated by their IS estimators based on the quasi-optimal IS density and the surrogate models.Compared with the classical AK-MCS and Active Kriging–Importance Sampling(AK-IS)procedure,the proposed method neither need to build very large sample pool even when the failure probability is extremely small,nor need to estimate the Most Probable Points(MPPs),thus it is computationally more efficient and more applicable especially for problems with multiple MPPs.The effectiveness and engineering applicability of the proposed method are demonstrated by one numerical test example and two engineering applications.展开更多

To effectively design the lower drag stay and r...Landing gear lower drag stay is a key component which connects fuselage and landing gear and directly effects the safety and performance of aircraft takeoff and landing. To effectively design the lower drag stay and reduce the weight of landing gear, Global/local Linked Driven Optimization Strategy(GLDOS) was developed to conduct the overall process design of lower drag stay in respect of optimization thought. The whole-process optimization involves two stages of structural conceptual design and detailed design. In the structural conceptual design, the landing gear lower drag stay was globally topologically optimized by adopting multiple starting points algorithm. In the detailed design, the local size and shape of landing gear lower drag stay were globally optimized by the gradient optimization strategy. The GLDOS method adopts different optimization strategies for different optimization stages to acquire the optimum design effect. Through the experimental validation, the weight of the optimized lower dray stay with the developed GLDOS is reduced by 16.79% while keeping enough strength and stiffness, which satisfies the requirements of engineering design under the typical loading conditions. The proposed GLDOS is validated to be accurate and efficient in optimization scheme and design cycles. The efforts of this paper provide a whole-process optimization approach regarding different optimization technologies in different design phases, which is significant in reducing structural weight and enhance design tp wid 1 precision for complex structures in aircrafts.展开更多
AIM: To evaluate the association between gastroesophageal reflux diseases (GERD) and coronary heart diseases. METHODS: One thousand nine hundred and seventy consecutive patients who attended our hospital were enro...AIM: To evaluate the association between gastroesophageal reflux diseases (GERD) and coronary heart diseases. METHODS: One thousand nine hundred and seventy consecutive patients who attended our hospital were enrolled. All of the patients who first attend our hospital were asked to respond to the F-scale questionnaire regardless of their chief complaints. All patients had a careful history taken, and resting echocardiography (ECG) was performed by physicians if the diagnostic necessity arose. Patients with ECG signs of coronary artery ischemia were defined as ST- segment depression based on the Minnesota code. RESULTS: Among 712 patients (36%) with GERD, ECG was performed in 171 (24%), and ischemic changes were detected in eight (5%). Four (50%) of these patients with abnormal findings upon ECG had no chest symptoms such as chest pain, chest oppression, or palpitations. These patients (0.6%; 4/712) were thought to have non-GERD heartburn, which may be related to ischemic heart disease. Of 281 patients who underwent ECG and did not have GERD symptoms, 20 (7%) had abnormal findings upon ECG. In patients with GERD symptoms and ECG signs of coronary artery ischemia, the prevalence of linked angina was considered to be 0.4% (8/1970 patients).CONCLUSION: The present study suggested that ischemic heart disease might be found although a patient was referred to the hospital with a complaint of GERD symptoms. Physicians have to be concerned about missing clinically important coronary artery disease while evaluating patients for GERD symptoms.展开更多
Deep excavation during the construction of underground systems can cause movement on the ground,especially in soft clay layers.At high levels,excessive ground movements can lead to severe damage to adjacent structures...Deep excavation during the construction of underground systems can cause movement on the ground,especially in soft clay layers.At high levels,excessive ground movements can lead to severe damage to adjacent structures.In this study,finite element analyses(FEM)and the hardening small strain(HSS)model were performed to investigate the deflection of the diaphragm wall in the soft clay layer induced by braced excavations.Different geometric and mechanical properties of the wall were investigated to study the deflection behavior of the wall in soft clays.Accordingly,1090 hypothetical cases were surveyed and simulated based on the HSS model and FEM to evaluate the wall deflection behavior.The results were then used to develop an intelligent model for predicting wall deflection using the functional linked neural network(FLNN)with different functional expansions and activation functions.Although the FLNN is a novel approach to predict wall deflection;however,in order to improve the accuracy of the FLNN model in predicting wall deflection,three swarm-based optimization algorithms,such as artificial bee colony(ABC),Harris’s hawk’s optimization(HHO),and hunger games search(HGS),were hybridized to the FLNN model to generate three novel intelligent models,namely ABC-FLNN,HHO-FLNN,HGS-FLNN.The results of the hybrid models were then compared with the basic FLNN and MLP models.They revealed that FLNN is a good solution for predicting wall deflection,and the application of different functional expansions and activation functions has a significant effect on the outcome predictions of the wall deflection.It is remarkably interesting that the performance of the FLNN model was better than the MLP model with a mean absolute error(MAE)of 19.971,root-mean-squared error(RMSE)of 24.574,and determination coefficient(R^(2))of 0.878.Meanwhile,the performance of the MLP model only obtained an MAE of 20.321,RMSE of 27.091,and R^(2)of 0.851.Furthermore,the results also indicated that the proposed hybrid models,i.e.,ABC-FLNN,HHO-FLNN,HGS-FLNN,yielded more superior performances than those of the FLNN and MLP models in terms of the prediction of deflection behavior of diaphragm walls with an MAE in the range of 11.877 to 12.239,RMSE in the range of 15.821 to 16.045,and R^(2)in the range of 0.949 to 0.951.They can be used as an alternative tool to simulate diaphragm wall deflections under different conditions with a high degree of accuracy.展开更多

And the rainfall data suggested that the increased rainfall might be responsible for the leptospirosis outbreak in Lezhi County. The results showed that at ...The influence of dissolved oxygen content on the oxidative stability of a linked polymer solution (LPS) was studied by micro-filtration, dynamic light scattering and viscosity measurements. The results showed that at the same temperature, the degree of the oxidative degradation of the LPS increased and the rapidity of the oxidative degradation was accelerated with the increase of the dissolved oxygen content. Consequently, the size of linked polymer coils (LPCs) of the LPS became small, and the plugging capability of the LPS decreased. At a fixed content of dissolved oxygen, with increasing degradation temperature, almost the same results were observed, namely, an increased degree of oxidative degradation, accelerated rapidity of the oxidative degradation and decreased plugging capacity, with decreased oxidative stability of LPS. At 90 °C, in the presence of oxygen, LPS lost its plugging capability after having been degraded for a period of time. But at 40 °C, LPS with low dissolved oxygen content could be stable for a long time. The decreased plugging ability of LPS after oxidative degradation is mainly caused by the decreased size and number of the LPCs due to the breaking of hydrolyzed polyacrylamide (HPAM) molecule segments and the structural changing of HPAM molecules.展开更多

Linked polymer solution (LPS) is defined as the solution of linked polymer coils (LPCs) dispersed in water, composed of low concentration partially hydrolyzed polyacrylamide (HPAM) and aluminum citrate (crosslinker). ...Linked polymer solution (LPS) is defined as the solution of linked polymer coils (LPCs) dispersed in water, composed of low concentration partially hydrolyzed polyacrylamide (HPAM) and aluminum citrate (crosslinker). In the work, the conformational changes of LPCs under different conditions were investigated by the methods of membrane filtering under low pressure, dynamic light scattering and core flooding experiments. The results showed that in some conditions the LPCs could be compressed mechanically to 1/158.5 of their original volume because of relatively lower HPAM cross-linking. The hydration property of LPCs was similar to that of normal polymer coils. The deformation of LPCs was more restricted than that of ordinary polymer coils under the flow shear stress or the shift of hydration equilibrium caused in the variation of the electrolyte concentration which is responsible for the effective plugging in the throats of porous media when LPCs are used for deep diverting.展开更多
Purpose:To develop a set of metrics and identify criteria for assessing the functionality of LOD KOS products while providing common guiding principles that can be used by LOD KOS producers and users to maximize the f...Purpose:To develop a set of metrics and identify criteria for assessing the functionality of LOD KOS products while providing common guiding principles that can be used by LOD KOS producers and users to maximize the functions and usages of LOD KOS products.Design/methodology/approach:Data collection and analysis were conducted at three time periods in 2015–16,2017 and 2019.The sample data used in the comprehensive data analysis comprises all datasets tagged as types of KOS in the Datahub and extracted through their respective SPARQL endpoints.A comparative study of the LOD KOS collected from terminology services Linked Open Vocabularies(LOV)and BioPortal was also performed.Findings:The study proposes a set of Functional,Impactful and Transformable(FIT)metrics for LOD KOS as value vocabularies.The FAIR principles,with additional recommendations,are presented for LOD KOS as open data.Research limitations:The metrics need to be further tested and aligned with the best practices and international standards of both open data and various types of KOS.Practical implications:Assessment performed with FAIR and FIT metrics support the creation and delivery of user-friendly,discoverable and interoperable LOD KOS datasets which can be used for innovative applications,act as a knowledge base,become a foundation of semantic analysis and entity extractions and enhance research in science and the humanities.Originality/value:Our research provides best practice guidelines for LOD KOS as value vocabularies.展开更多

BACKGROUND Accurate diagnosis of Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)infection status is a crucial premise for eradication therapy,as well as evaluation of risk for gastric cancer.Recent progress on imaging enhancement endos...BACKGROUND Accurate diagnosis of Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)infection status is a crucial premise for eradication therapy,as well as evaluation of risk for gastric cancer.Recent progress on imaging enhancement endoscopy(IEE)made it possible to not only detect precancerous lesions and early gastrointestinal cancers but also to predict H.pylori infection in real time.As a novel IEE modality,linked color imaging(LCI)has exhibited its value on diagnosis of lesions of gastric mucosa through emphasizing minor differences of color tone.AIM To compare the efficacy of LCI for H.pylori active infection vs conventional white light imaging(WLI).METHODS PubMed,Embase,Embase and Cochrane Library were searched up to the end of April 11,2022.The random-effects model was adopted to calculate the diagnostic efficacy of LCI and WLI.The calculation of sensitivity,specificity,and likelihood ratios were performed;symmetric receiver operator characteristic(SROC)curves and the areas under the SROC curves were computed.Quality of the included studies was chosen to assess using the quality assessment of diagnostic accuracy studies-2 tool.RESULTS Seven original studies were included in this study.The pooled sensitivity,specificity,positive likelihood rate,and negative likelihood rate of LCI for the diagnosis of H.pylori infection of gastric mucosa were 0.85[95%confidence interval(CI):0.76-0.92],0.82(95%CI:0.78-0.85),4.71(95%CI:3.7-5.9),and 0.18(95%CI:0.10-0.31)respectively,with diagnostic odds ratio=26(95%CI:13-52),SROC=0.87(95%CI:0.84-0.90),which showed superiority of diagnostic efficacy compared to WLI.CONCLUSION Our results showed LCI can improve efficacy of diagnosis on H.pylori infection,which represents a useful endoscopic evaluation modality for clinical practice.展开更多

文摘Deep excavation during the construction of underground systems can cause movement on the ground,especially in soft clay layers.At high levels,excessive ground movements can lead to severe damage to adjacent structures.In this study,finite element analyses(FEM)and the hardening small strain(HSS)model were performed to investigate the deflection of the diaphragm wall in the soft clay layer induced by braced excavations.Different geometric and mechanical properties of the wall were investigated to study the deflection behavior of the wall in soft clays.Accordingly,1090 hypothetical cases were surveyed and simulated based on the HSS model and FEM to evaluate the wall deflection behavior.The results were then used to develop an intelligent model for predicting wall deflection using the functional linked neural network(FLNN)with different functional expansions and activation functions.Although the FLNN is a novel approach to predict wall deflection;however,in order to improve the accuracy of the FLNN model in predicting wall deflection,three swarm-based optimization algorithms,such as artificial bee colony(ABC),Harris’s hawk’s optimization(HHO),and hunger games search(HGS),were hybridized to the FLNN model to generate three novel intelligent models,namely ABC-FLNN,HHO-FLNN,HGS-FLNN.The results of the hybrid models were then compared with the basic FLNN and MLP models.They revealed that FLNN is a good solution for predicting wall deflection,and the application of different functional expansions and activation functions has a significant effect on the outcome predictions of the wall deflection.It is remarkably interesting that the performance of the FLNN model was better than the MLP model with a mean absolute error(MAE)of 19.971,root-mean-squared error(RMSE)of 24.574,and determination coefficient(R^(2))of 0.878.Meanwhile,the performance of the MLP model only obtained an MAE of 20.321,RMSE of 27.091,and R^(2)of 0.851.Furthermore,the results also indicated that the proposed hybrid models,i.e.,ABC-FLNN,HHO-FLNN,HGS-FLNN,yielded more superior performances than those of the FLNN and MLP models in terms of the prediction of deflection behavior of diaphragm walls with an MAE in the range of 11.877 to 12.239,RMSE in the range of 15.821 to 16.045,and R^(2)in the range of 0.949 to 0.951.They can be used as an alternative tool to simulate diaphragm wall deflections under different conditions with a high degree of accuracy.

文摘A total of 26 leptospirosis cases occurred in the outbreak, of whom six died after hospitalization. All 26 patients were clinically diagnosed as leptospirosis Microscopic agglutination test (MAT) revealed that 13 of 26 patients were affected with laboratory confirmed leptospirosis. Furthermore, MAT data suggested that serogroup Icterohaemorrhagiae were the main pathogens responsible for this outbreak. And the rainfall data suggested that the increased rainfall might be responsible for the leptospirosis outbreak in Lezhi County. This outbreak has reminded us that leptospirosis should not be neglected, especially during flood season, although its incidence rate is low.
文摘The influence of dissolved oxygen content on the oxidative stability of a linked polymer solution (LPS) was studied by micro-filtration, dynamic light scattering and viscosity measurements. The results showed that at the same temperature, the degree of the oxidative degradation of the LPS increased and the rapidity of the oxidative degradation was accelerated with the increase of the dissolved oxygen content. Consequently, the size of linked polymer coils (LPCs) of the LPS became small, and the plugging capability of the LPS decreased. At a fixed content of dissolved oxygen, with increasing degradation temperature, almost the same results were observed, namely, an increased degree of oxidative degradation, accelerated rapidity of the oxidative degradation and decreased plugging capacity, with decreased oxidative stability of LPS. At 90 °C, in the presence of oxygen, LPS lost its plugging capability after having been degraded for a period of time. But at 40 °C, LPS with low dissolved oxygen content could be stable for a long time. The decreased plugging ability of LPS after oxidative degradation is mainly caused by the decreased size and number of the LPCs due to the breaking of hydrolyzed polyacrylamide (HPAM) molecule segments and the structural changing of HPAM molecules.

文摘Linked polymer solution (LPS) is defined as the solution of linked polymer coils (LPCs) dispersed in water, composed of low concentration partially hydrolyzed polyacrylamide (HPAM) and aluminum citrate (crosslinker). In the work, the conformational changes of LPCs under different conditions were investigated by the methods of membrane filtering under low pressure, dynamic light scattering and core flooding experiments. The results showed that in some conditions the LPCs could be compressed mechanically to 1/158.5 of their original volume because of relatively lower HPAM cross-linking. The hydration property of LPCs was similar to that of normal polymer coils. The deformation of LPCs was more restricted than that of ordinary polymer coils under the flow shear stress or the shift of hydration equilibrium caused in the variation of the electrolyte concentration which is responsible for the effective plugging in the throats of porous media when LPCs are used for deep diverting.

文摘Purpose:To develop a set of metrics and identify criteria for assessing the functionality of LOD KOS products while providing common guiding principles that can be used by LOD KOS producers and users to maximize the functions and usages of LOD KOS products.Design/methodology/approach:Data collection and analysis were conducted at three time periods in 2015–16,2017 and 2019.The sample data used in the comprehensive data analysis comprises all datasets tagged as types of KOS in the Datahub and extracted through their respective SPARQL endpoints.A comparative study of the LOD KOS collected from terminology services Linked Open Vocabularies(LOV)and BioPortal was also performed.Findings:The study proposes a set of Functional,Impactful and Transformable(FIT)metrics for LOD KOS as value vocabularies.The FAIR principles,with additional recommendations,are presented for LOD KOS as open data.Research limitations:The metrics need to be further tested and aligned with the best practices and international standards of both open data and various types of KOS.Practical implications:Assessment performed with FAIR and FIT metrics support the creation and delivery of user-friendly,discoverable and interoperable LOD KOS datasets which can be used for innovative applications,act as a knowledge base,become a foundation of semantic analysis and entity extractions and enhance research in science and the humanities.Originality/value:Our research provides best practice guidelines for LOD KOS as value vocabularies.

文摘BACKGROUND Accurate diagnosis of Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)infection status is a crucial premise for eradication therapy,as well as evaluation of risk for gastric cancer.Recent progress on imaging enhancement endoscopy(IEE)made it possible to not only detect precancerous lesions and early gastrointestinal cancers but also to predict H.pylori infection in real time.As a novel IEE modality,linked color imaging(LCI)has exhibited its value on diagnosis of lesions of gastric mucosa through emphasizing minor differences of color tone.AIM To compare the efficacy of LCI for H.pylori active infection vs conventional white light imaging(WLI).METHODS PubMed,Embase,Embase and Cochrane Library were searched up to the end of April 11,2022.The random-effects model was adopted to calculate the diagnostic efficacy of LCI and WLI.The calculation of sensitivity,specificity,and likelihood ratios were performed;symmetric receiver operator characteristic(SROC)curves and the areas under the SROC curves were computed.Quality of the included studies was chosen to assess using the quality assessment of diagnostic accuracy studies-2 tool.RESULTS Seven original studies were included in this study.The pooled sensitivity,specificity,positive likelihood rate,and negative likelihood rate of LCI for the diagnosis of H.pylori infection of gastric mucosa were 0.85[95%confidence interval(CI):0.76-0.92],0.82(95%CI:0.78-0.85),4.71(95%CI:3.7-5.9),and 0.18(95%CI:0.10-0.31)respectively,with diagnostic odds ratio=26(95%CI:13-52),SROC=0.87(95%CI:0.84-0.90),which showed superiority of diagnostic efficacy compared to WLI.CONCLUSION Our results showed LCI can improve efficacy of diagnosis on H.pylori infection,which represents a useful endoscopic evaluation modality for clinical practice.
