On the basis of the appropriate Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, introducing some free weighting matrices, new synchronization criteria are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). It consists of four fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) directly written in a section of photosensitive erbium-doped fiber (EDF) to form an asymmetric three-cavity structure. The stable SLM operation at a wavelength of 1545.112 nm with a 3-dB bandwidth of 0.012 nm and an optical signal-to-noise ratio (OSNR) of about 60 dB is verified experimentally. Under laboratory conditions, the performance of a power fluctuation of less than 0.05 dB observed from the power meter for 6 h and a wavelength variation of less than 0.01 nm obtained from the optical spectrum analyzer (OSA) for about 1.5 h are demonstrated. The gain fiber length is no longer limited to only several centimeters for SLM operation because of the excellent mode-selecting ability of the asymmetric three-cavity structure. The proposed scheme provides a simple and cost-effective approach to realizing a stable SLM fiber laser.展开更多

A neural-network approximation and the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional theory into the sliding-mode technique is used and a neural-network based sliding mode control scheme is proposed. The mode shape is derived from the mechanical boundary conditions of the linear piezoelectric motor. We only have access to the first three modes of formas, the effective electrode surface coating basis, as well as with the linear piezoelectric motor of normal shape do comparison. Next, we will inspect their gain or axial velocity through theoretical analysis, simulation and experiment. According to the results of the theoretical analysis, we have found that the gain or axial velocity of the linear piezoelectric motors of mode shape is much larger than the linear piezoelectric motors of normal shape. However, according to the results of simulation and experiments, we have found that the gain or axial velocity of the linear piezoelectric motors of mode shape is much greater than the linear piezoelectric motors of normal shape, which is about 1.2 to 1.4 times. The linear piezoelectric motor of mode shape 3 has the fastest axial velocity, which is about -48 mm/s and 48 mm/s under conditions of 180 Vp-p driving voltage, 21.2 kHz driving frequency (the third vibration modal), 25 gw loading and the position of loading or mass at x = 5 mm & 45 mm respectively. And its axial velocity is about 1.4 times the linear piezoelectric motor of normal shape under the same conditions. Overall, the mode shape coating helps to enhance the gain or axial velocity of the linear piezoelectric motor.展开更多

Based on this, an adaptive sliding mode controller (ASMC) is synthesized, which guarantees the occurrence of sliding mode even when the system is undergoing parameter uncertainties and external disturbance. The resulting sliding mode has the same order as the original system, so that it becomes easy to solve the H∞ control problem by designing a memoryless H∞ state feedback controller. A delay-dependent sufficient condition is proposed in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), which guarantees the sliding mode robust asymptotically stable and has a noise attenuation level γ in an H∞ sense. The statistics of 100 evolved errors are studied for six-dayperiods and compared with the growth and structures of fast growing normal modes and finite-timenormal modes (FTNMs). The amplification factors of most initially random errors are slightly lessthan those of the fastest growing FTNM for the same time interval. During their evolution, thestandard deviations of the error fields become concentrated in the regions of rapid dynamicaldevelopment, particularly associated with developing and decaying blocks. We have calculatedprobability distributions and the mean and standard deviations of pattern correlations between eachof the 100 evolved error fields and the five fastest growing FTNMs for the same time interval. Themean of the largest pattern correlation, taken over the five fastest growing FTNMs, increases withincreasing time interval to a value close to 0.6 or larger after six days. This paper investigates the longshore current instability growth model based experimental data with different velocity profiles of slopes1:100 and 1:40 by adopting a linear shear instability model with the bottom friction effects. The results show that:(1)Only backshear mode exists in the instability of longshore current for slope 1:40 and frontshear and backshear modes may exist slope 1:100.(2) The peaks of linear instability growth mode for slope 1:100 correspond to three cases: the dominant peak is formed by the joint action of both frontshear and backshear, or by backshear alone without the existence of the smaller peak or formed by either the frontshear or backshear.(3) Bottom friction can decrease the corresponding unstable growth rate but it cannot change the unstable fluctuation period. The results of fluctuation period, wavelength and spatial variation obtained by the analysis of linear shear instability are in good agreement with experimental results.展开更多

In order to improve system response speed and stability,a sliding-mode variable-structure control based on a feedback linearization theory is analyzed in this research. A standardized system model is established and linearized by the feedback linearization theory, and the input dimension is reduced through the relationship between variables which has simplified the linearization process. Then the sliding-mode controller using an exponential reaching law is designed and the Lyapunov stability of this algorithm is verified. The simulation results show that the sliding-mode variable-structure controller based on the feedback linearization theory can improve system response speed, reduce overshoot and achieve stronger robustness,so the vehicle speed control requirements can be satisfied well.展开更多

The fields are given analytically, and the resonant frequency is determined numerically. An important special case of a spherical conducting cavity with a smaller dielectric sphere at its center is treated in more detail. By numerically integrating the equations of motion we demonstrate that the transverse electric oscillations in such cavity can be used to accelerate strongly relativistic electrons. The electron’s trajectory is assumed to be nearly tangential to the dielectric sphere. We demonstrate that the interaction of such electrons with the oscillating magnetic field deflects their trajectory from a straight line only slightly. The Q factor of such a resonator only depends on losses in the dielectric. For existing ultra low loss dielectrics, Q can be three orders of magnitude better than obtained in existing cylindrical cavities.展开更多

文摘A linear matrix inequality (LMI)-based sliding surface design method for integral sliding mode control of uncertain time- delay systems with mismatching uncertainties is proposed. The uncertain time-delay system under consideration may have mis- matching norm bounded uncertainties in the state matrix as well as the input matrix, A sufficient condition for the existence of a sliding surface is given to guarantee asymptotic stability of the full order slJdJng mode dynamics. An LMI characterization of the slid- ing surface is given, together with an integral sliding mode control law guaranteeing the existence of a sliding mode from the initial time. Finally, a simulation is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

文摘Engine-variable pump-variable motor drive system is a complex nonlinear system. The simulation results show that the sliding-mode variable-structure controller based on the feedback linearization theory can improve system response speed, reduce overshoot and achieve stronger robustness,so the vehicle speed control requirements can be satisfied well.
文摘We present an analysis of electromagnetic oscillations in a spherical conducting cavity filled concentrically with either dielectric or vacuum layers. For existing ultra low loss dielectrics, Q can be three orders of magnitude better than obtained in existing cylindrical cavities.
