In order to control the composition,morphology and size distribution of oxide inclusions in spring steel,the relationship between the content or activity of aluminum and calcium in molten steel and compositions of oxi...In order to control the composition,morphology and size distribution of oxide inclusions in spring steel,the relationship between the content or activity of aluminum and calcium in molten steel and compositions of oxide inclusion precipitated at different temperatures was determined based on thermodynamic equilibrium for spring steel 60Si2 MnA,and has been verified by practice.The size distribution of non-metallic inclusions electrolytically extracted from specimens of hot rolled spring steel was determined by image analyzer.The results show that there are a great deal of large inclusions in spring steel produced by the conventional process,and the quantity and the size of large inclusions in spring steel produced by new process are largely reduced.As a result,the fatigue properties of the spring steel produced by new process are highly improved,and the ratio ofσ-1/σbis raised from 0.451 to 0.468.展开更多
The molecular dynamics(MD)model ofα-Al_(2)O_(3) nanowires in bending is established by using LAMMPS to calculate the atomic stress and strain at different loading rates in order to study the effect of loading rate on...The molecular dynamics(MD)model ofα-Al_(2)O_(3) nanowires in bending is established by using LAMMPS to calculate the atomic stress and strain at different loading rates in order to study the effect of loading rate on the bending mechanical behaviors of theα-Al_(2)O_(3) nanowires.Research results show that the maximum surface stress−rotation angle curves ofα-Al_(2)O_(3) nanowires at different loading rates are all divided into three stages of elastic deformation,plastic deformation and failure,where the elastic limit point can be determined by the curve symmetry during loading and unloading cycle.The loading rate has great influence on the plastic deformation but little on the elastic modulus ofα-Al_(2)O_(3) nanowires.When the loading rate is increased,the plastic deformation stage is shortened and the material is easier to fail in brittle fracture.Therefore,the elastic limit and the strength limit(determined by the direct and indirect MD simulation methods)are closer to each other.The MD simulation result ofα-Al_(2)O_(3) nanowires is verified to be valid by the good agreement with the improved loop test results.The direct MD method becomes an effective way to determine the elastic limit and the strength limit of nanoscale whiskers failed in brittle or ductile fracture at arbitrary loading rate.展开更多

Based on the shear stress formula of circular shaft under pure torsion in elastic stage, the formula of torque in elastic stage and the definition of yield, it is obtained that the yielding stage of plastic metal shaft under pure torsion is only a surface phenomenon of torque-torsion angle relationship, and the distribution of shear stress is essentially different from that of tensile stress when yielding under uniaxial tension. The pure torsion platform-torsion angle and the shape of torque-torsion angle curve cannot change the distribution of shear stress on the shaft cross-section. The distribution of shear stress is still linear with the maximum shear stress ts. The complete plasticity model assumption is not in accordance with the actual situation of shaft under torsion. The experimental strength data of nine plastic metals are consistent with the calculated results of the new limiting strain energy strength theory (LSEST). The traditional yield stress formula for plastic shaft under torsion is reasonable. We calculated the uniform dielectric breakdown field strength of residual 30% CF3I/CO2 gas mixtures during the arc extinction process over the temperature range 300-3500 K at 0.1 MPa. The limiting reduced field streng...We calculated the uniform dielectric breakdown field strength of residual 30% CF3I/CO2 gas mixtures during the arc extinction process over the temperature range 300-3500 K at 0.1 MPa. The limiting reduced field strengths are decided by a balance of electron generation and loss based on chemical reactions estimated by the electron energy distribution function (EEDF), which employs the Boltzmann equation method with two-term expanding approximation in the steady-state Townsend (SST) condition. During the insulation recovery phase, the hot CF3I/CO2 gas mixtures have maximum dielectric strength at a temperature of about 1500 K. At room temperature 300 K, the electric strength after arc extinction (90.3 Td, 1 Td=10-21 V.m2) is only 38% of the original value before arc (234.9 Td). The adverse insulation recovery ability of CF3I/CO2 gas mixtures in arc extinction hinders its application in electric circuit breakers and other switchgears as an arc quenching and insulating medium.展开更多

Using a buckling module of the finite element analysis software, stability behavior and destroy mode along geometry parameters are studied. Results show the destroy mode depends on the geometry parameter greatly. Curves of buckling critical load and strength limited load along geometry parameters have a point of intersection. Tensions and oppositions between the individual and community have accompanied the discourse on human rights from the beginning. I want to first recall how in the UDHR (1948) and in the major human rights treaties, ...Tensions and oppositions between the individual and community have accompanied the discourse on human rights from the beginning. I want to first recall how in the UDHR (1948) and in the major human rights treaties, the rights and obligations of individuals are regulated towards communities. I then want to investigate whether the talk of "collective human rights", understood as "third- generation" rights, are of equal value to be set with individual human rights. Against communitarian arguments for the primacy of community-related duties one can stress an expansion of a liberal concept of human rights by the inclusion of justice demands and social human rights. To show that special community needs can be protected and promoted through individual human rights and national col- lective rights, I used the example of the protection of minorities. Finally, I will explain why human rights are not a comprehensive theory of the good and illustrate with this the limits, and also the original strength of human rights. We should not overestimate human rights, but also we should be aware that a sober understanding of human rights is philosophically reasonable, legally possible and politically of great importance.展开更多
