The anterior part of the cornea tends to be stronger, thereby allowing tearing (Greek “rhexis”) along the preformed cuts of the femtosecond photo disruption. Flaporhexis differs from Binder’s technique of “hinge opening” as published in 2006 by opening the flap from the opposite side. If a femtosecond flap lift is performed correctly, the surgeon will find a virgin, uniform, dry stromal bed, which had not been manipulated by any surgical instrument and is therefore perfect for wavefront guided laser surgery as “Sub-Bowman’s Keratomileusis”.展开更多
In this paper,we propose a novel approach to the multiple-sample testing problem using a studentized test statistic based on the random lifter technique.The method reformulates the classical Ksample test as an indepen...In this paper,we propose a novel approach to the multiple-sample testing problem using a studentized test statistic based on the random lifter technique.The method reformulates the classical Ksample test as an independence test between two random variables,enabling more efficient handling of complex data types.We solve problems with the non-standard normal limiting distributions of degenerate U-statistics using a random lifter approach.This creates a test statistic that is asymptotically normal under the null hypothesis.Numerous simulations and real-world applications have demonstrated that our method performs well with many data types,including Euclidean,directional,and symmetric positive definite data.It is also very good at controlling Type I errors.Our method also shows significant computational efficiency,outperforming existing K-sample tests,particularly when applied to large datasets.These results suggest that the proposed method is a powerful and practical solution for multiple-sample testing in complex data scenarios.展开更多
Rotary kiln is widely used for thermal disposal of solid waste due to its effectiveness and high efficiency in recent years.To further improve the processing efficiency,a newly designed rotary kiln with three-section ...Rotary kiln is widely used for thermal disposal of solid waste due to its effectiveness and high efficiency in recent years.To further improve the processing efficiency,a newly designed rotary kiln with three-section structure is proposed,and the behaviours of particle motion and heat transfer are investigated.Firstly,a lab-scale rotary kiln is manufactured,and experiments are carried out.Verified by experimental data,a CFD-DEM numerical model is developed to analyze the particle motion and heat transfer characteristics with the effects of inlet flue gas temperature,feeding rate and rotating speed.The results show that the outlet temperature increases linearly with the flue gas temperature,while it is negatively correlated with the feeding rate and rotating speed.In addition,the volumetric heat transfer coefficient in this complex rotary kiln is analyzed,the overall heat transfer coefficient is between 200 and 700 W/(m^(3)K).展开更多
The internal circulation rotating packed beds(IN-RPBs)have been widely used in multiphase systems.However,its key component's liquid lifter suffers from the liquid lifting rate(QL),limiting the micro-mixing and ma...The internal circulation rotating packed beds(IN-RPBs)have been widely used in multiphase systems.However,its key component's liquid lifter suffers from the liquid lifting rate(QL),limiting the micro-mixing and mass transfer efficiency.In this study,the fluid motion inside the conventional lifter was theoretically analyzed.Based on the above theoretical analysis,a new impeller-equipped lifter was innovatively designed for the IN-RPB to enhance QL.Experiment results showed that QL was increased by 100%at 1400 r/min within the impeller-equipped lifter.Numerical simulations demonstrated that the flow field was altered in the impeller-equipped lifter,promoting the generation of vortices,thereby increasing the QL.Mass transfer experiments demonstrated that the structure optimization of the lifter led to a 60%increase in the gas-liquid volumetric mass transfer coefficient(kLa).This study provides a basis for the industrialization of the IN-RPB with an impeller-equipped lifter.展开更多
