The accurate control for the vehicle height and leveling adjustment system of an electronic air suspension(EAS) still is a challenging problem that has not been effectively solved in prior researches. This paper proposes a new adaptive controller to control the vehicle height and to adjust the roll and pitch angles of the vehicle body(leveling control) during the vehicle height adjustment procedures by an EAS system. A nonlinear mechanism model of the full?car vehicle height adjustment system is established to reflect the system dynamic behaviors and to derive the system optimal control law. To deal with the nonlinear characters in the vehicle height and leveling adjustment processes, the nonlinear system model is globally linearized through the state feedback method. On this basis, a fuzzy sliding mode controller(FSMC) is designed to improve the control accuracy of the vehicle height adjustment and to reduce the peak values of the roll and pitch angles of the vehicle body. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed control method more accurately, the full?car EAS system model programmed using AMESim is also given. Then, the co?simulation study of the FSMC performance can be conducted. Finally, actual vehicle tests are performed with a city bus, and the test results illustrate that the vehicle height adjustment performance is effectively guaranteed by the FSMC, and the peak values of the roll and pitch angles of the vehicle body during the vehicle height adjustment procedures are also reduced significantly. This research proposes an effective control methodology for the vehicle height and leveling adjustment system of an EAS, which provides a favorable control performance for the system. 展开更多

An effective warning system for flash floods along the upper River des Peres, a small urban stream in eastern Missouri, USA, is based on three enterprise-level, automated rain gauges.Because floods in this 25 km~2 basin develop rapidly and are commonly caused by small but intense thunderstorm cells, these rain gauges were necessarily deployed within the watershed, and immediate telemetry and processing of rainfall delivered in 5-minute intervals is required. Available data show that damaging floods in this area occur only 30 min to 3 h following the delivery of 38 mm of rainfall or more in a single hour. Water levels along this stream can rise more than 3 m/h. Since full deployment in Nov. 2021, our system has successfully predicted 3 significant floods with one false positive. 展开更多

Purpose–This study solves the key problem that the static level monitoring is susceptible to temperature interference and affects the accuracy in slope instability/deformation monitoring.The purpose is to develop a reliable temperature compensation method for the system,improve the accuracy of slope stability monitoring and provide support for improving the safety and safety monitoring of engineering spoil slope and other projects.Design/methodology/approach–Combined with theoretical analysis and experimental verification,the temperature compensation method is explored.The working principle of the hydrostatic leveling monitoring system is analyzed and the data processing formula,the temperature error calculation formula and the calculation formula for eliminating the error settlement value are derived.The temperature compensation method is established and verified by the field test of the engineering spoil slope which is disturbed by a debris flow.Findings–The experimental results show that this method can reduce the error of the static level monitoring system by about 40%.The field test shows that the fluctuation of slope settlement monitoring value is reduced after temperature compensation and the monitoring value is consistent with the actual situation,which has certain practicability.Originality/value–The originality of this study is to derive a theoretical formula for quantifying/eliminating temperature errors in static leveling and to establish a practical temperature compensation method.The accuracy of the system is improved,which provides a reference for slope stability monitoring under complex environment(especially railway geotechnical engineering)and promotes the development of precision monitoring technology. 展开更多

This study investigated the operation features of a dropshaft-tunnel system under varying downstream water levels through a large-scale physical model.In the experiments,the air pressure distribution in the system was measured,and the flow pattern was recorded by cameras.The results revealed that the air pressure in the drop-shaft increased with increasing water flow rate under free outflow conditions but changed little when the outflow was submerged,even when the flow rate further increased.Additionally,there was a wavy flow in the tunnel un-der free outflow conditions,whereas plug flow with air pockets occurred under submerged outflow conditions.The downstream water level was found to affect the system through changing the linkage between the drop-shaft and tunnel and the resistance to air release downstream.The findings of this study contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of the operation of deep tunnel systems. 展开更多

The low-energy excited states in the neutron-deficient nucleus^(91)Ru were populated via the^(58)Ni(^(36)Ar,2p1nγ)^(91)Ru reaction at a beam energy of 111 MeV.Charged particles,neutrons,andγrays were emitted in the reactions and detected using a DIAMANT CsI ball,neutron wall,and EXOGAM Ge clover array,respectively.Angular-correlation and linear polarization measurements were performed to determine the spins and parities of the excited states unambiguously.In addition to the previously reported states,a new low-energy-level structure of^(91)Ru,including one 7/2^(+)and two 11/2^(+)states,was established.Similar structures have also been reported in lighter N=47 even-odd isotones down to85Sr,which were expected to come from the three-neutron-holevg_(9/2)^(-3)configuration.A semiempirical shell model was used to explain the level systematics of the N=47 even-odd isotones.Calculated results indicated that the 7/2^(+)and the vg_(9/2)^(-3)states~are mainly associated with the seniority-threeν(g_(9/2))-3excitations,while the vg_(9/2)^(-3)level is most likely interpreted as a seniorityυ=1 configuration of three neutron holes in theνg_(9∕2)orbital_weakly coupled to a 2^(+)excitation of the^(88)Sr core.A comparison between the calculation and experiment shows that the two 11/2^(+)excited states display an increase in mixing with proton number Z added from^(87)Zr up to^(91)Ru. 展开更多

Irrigation service defines the responsibilities and rights of irrigation system management agencies,water users,and other parties involved in the irrigation service contract.As a result,the irrigation service must be clearly specified and updated by crop seasons and by all partners.Given the inherent complexity of the service,this article presents and discusses the development and application of a computer model designed to support the specification of public service levels in rice-based irrigation systems.Applied to the Tu Mai irrigation system,the model has enabled all involved parties to define irrigation service levels through systematic analysis and a thorough consideration of constraints such as water resource characteristics,hydraulic structures,and the operational plans of the irrigation system.The research findings have also helped relevant agencies reach agreements on irrigation service levels for the particular irrigation season of spring 2023,which included one irrigation period for land preparation and five subsequent irrigation periods for rice crops corresponding with a specific schedule for operating the system(discharges and duration)that met the farmers’requests for their farming practices and reduced the loss due to rice crop yield decline at the irrigation system as a whole.Additionally,recommendations for improving irrigation services in the Tu Mai system have been made,including upgrading the head pumping station to accommodate lower water levels in the Cau River,aligning the irrigation schedules of the Water User Associations(WUAs)more flexibly,and strictly supervising water deliveries to ensure safety and fairness. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Colorectal cancer(CRC)is a common malignant tumor of the digestive system that poses a serious threat to human health.During the perioperative period,patients with CRC are prone to nutritional risks and malnutrition.Compared with traditional nutritional support,immunostimulatory nutrients,including glutamine(Gln),have attracted increasing attention.Although many previous studies have reported that perioperative Gln supplementation can improve short-term clinical outcomes in patients with CRC,some studies have not demonstrated a benefit.Resolution of Gln supplementation value thus requires further exploration.AIM To clarify the influence of perioperative Gln-enhanced nutritional support on postoperative outcomes including nutritional status,immune function,inflammation levels,morbidity due to complications,and length of hospital stay(LOS).METHODS A comprehensive literature search was conducted(inception to June 2025).PubMed,EMBASE,Web of Science,Cochrane Library,China Biomedical Database,CNKI,VIP,and the Wanfang Electronic Database were searched.This meta-analysis ultimately included 27 studies with a total of 1643 patients;827 patients received perioperative Gln treatment and 816 received conventional nutritional therapy.A random-effects model was used to pool relative risks(RR)and mean differences(MD)with 95%confidence intervals(CI).RESULTS Pooled analysis showed that Gln intervention reduced morbidity associated with postoperative infectious complications(RR=0.36;95%CI:0.24-0.54)and non-infectious complications(RR=0.32;95%CI:0.19-0.55)and shortened the LOS by 2.31 days(MD=-2.31;95%CI:-3.21 to-1.41)in CRC patients.Gln supplementation also increased serum albumin,prealbumin,peripheral blood lymphocyte count,and nitrogen balance levels and improved humoral and cellular immune function.We also found that postoperative tumor necrosis factor-αand C-reactive protein levels were lower in Gln-supplemented patients.By contrast,Gln supplementation did not improve CD8+and CD4+/CD8+levels.CONCLUSION Gln supplementation effectively improved short-term clinical outcomes in patients with CRC. 展开更多

A hybrid energy system is built for the power demand of a community in Xinjiang of China,and pumped storage and lithium batteries are used as energy storage devices.The feasibility of different configurations is evaluated through technoeconomic analysis.Technical-economic parameters are set in the HOMER Pro software to obtain optimal configuration and techno-economic evaluation and sensitivity analysis.The study also explores the impact of different types of PV tracking systems and module costs on system performance.The results show that the lowest levelized cost of energy(LCOE)(0.135$/kWh)can be achieved with pumped hydro,which is more economical than lithium batteries.PV tracking systems can improve solar efficiency.Compared with diesel systems,renewable energy has economic advantages and environmental benefits.In most regions of Xinjiang,solar energy is more competitive than wind power.In areas with abundant wind resources,the integration of wind and solar energy can reduce costs. 展开更多

A Deep Learning-Based Cloud Groundwater Level Prediction System

In the context of global change,understanding changes in water resources requires close monitoring of groundwater levels.A mismatch between water supply and demand could lead to severe consequences such as land subsidence.To ensure a sustainable water supply and to minimize the environmental effects of land subsidence,groundwater must be effectively monitored and managed.Despite significant global progress in groundwater management,the swift advancements in technology and artificial intelligence(AI)have spurred extensive studies aimed at enhancing the accuracy of groundwater predictions.This study proposes an AI-based method that combines deep learning with a cloud-supported data processing workflow.The method utilizes river level data from the Zhuoshui River alluvial fan area in Taiwan,China to forecast groundwater level fluctuations.A hybrid imputation scheme is applied to reduce data errors and improve input continuity,including Z-score anomaly detection,sliding window segmentation,and STL-SARIMA-based imputation.The prediction model employs the BiLSTM model combined with the Bayesian optimization algorithm,achieving an R2 of 0.9932 and consistently lower MSE values than those of the LSTM and RNN models across all experiments.Specifically,BiLSTM reduces MSE by 62.9%compared to LSTM and 72.6%compared to RNN,while also achieving the lowest MAE and MAPE scores,demonstrating its superior accuracy and robustness in groundwater level forecasting.This predictive advantage stems from the integration of a hybrid statistical imputation process with a BiLSTM model optimized through Bayesian search.These components collectively enable a reliable and integrated forecasting system that effectively models groundwater level variations,thereby providing a practical solution for groundwater monitoring and sustainable water resource management. 展开更多

Comprehensive Index Evaluation of the Cooling System with the Level Loop Thermosyphon System in Different Computing Hub Nodes in China

Rack-level loop thermosyphons have been widely adopted as a solution to data centers’growing energy demands.While numerous studies have highlighted the heat transfer performance and energy-saving benefits of this system,its economic feasibility,water usage effectiveness(WUE),and carbon usage effectiveness(CUE)remain underexplored.This study introduces a comprehensive evaluation index designed to assess the applicability of the rack-level loop thermosyphon system across various computing hub nodes.The air wet bulb temperature Ta,w was identified as the most significant factor influencing the variability in the combination of PUE,CUE,and WUE values.The results indicate that the rack-level loop thermosyphon system achieves the highest score in Lanzhou(94.485)and the lowest in Beijing(89.261)based on the comprehensive evaluation index.The overall ranking of cities according to the comprehensive evaluation score is as follows:Gansu hub(Lanzhou)>Inner Mongolia hub(Hohhot)>Ningxia hub(Yinchuan)>Yangtze River Delta hub(Shanghai)>Chengdu Chongqing hub(Chongqing)>Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area hub(Guangzhou)>Guizhou hub(Guiyang)>Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei hub(Beijing).Furthermore,Hohhot,Lanzhou,and Yinchuan consistently rank among the top three cities for comprehensive scores across all load rates,while Guiyang(at a 25%load rate),Guangzhou(at a 50%load rate),and Beijing(at 75%and 100%load rates)exhibited the lowest comprehensive scores. 展开更多

Predictive value of systemic immune-inflammation index and serum lactoferrin for postoperative survival in older patients with colon cancer

BACKGROUND Systemic immune-inflammation index(SII)combined with serum lactoferrin(LF)level can provide a reference for predicting the postoperative survival and prognosis of older patients with colon cancer.AIM To evaluate the predictive value of SII combined with serum LF for postoperative survival in older patients with colon cancer.METHODS This prospective study included 62 older patients[range,65-85 years;average age(72.46±6.02)years]with colon cancer who underwent radical surgery at our hospital between January 2023 and September 2024.Colon cancer was confirmed on postoperative pathology.All patients underwent peripheral blood,LF,and tumor marker tests and imaging examinations preoperatively.The ability to predict overall survival(OS)and disease-free survival(DFS)by dynamically monitoring the SII[platelet(PLT)count×neutrophil(NEU)count/lymphocyte(LYM)count]and LF levels in combination with postoperative follow-up data was assessed.SII,LF levels,and postoperative data were analyzed using receiver operating characteristic curves,univariate,and multivariate Cox regression analyses to assess OS and DFS.RESULTS All patients were followed up conventionally postoperatively.There were no significant differences in the patients’baseline data.From 3 months preoperatively until after surgery,the values of routine blood indices(NEUs,LYMs,and PLTs)and SII tended to decrease,but the difference was not statistically significant.The LF level gradually decreased,and there were significant differences at 1 week,1 month and 3 months postoperatively(P<0.05).Liver and kidney functions significantly increased 1 week postoperatively and gradually recovered(P<0.05).The C-reactive protein level significantly increased 1 week postoperatively,whereas the prealbumin level significantly decreased then recovered 3 months postoperatively(P<0.05).The levels of carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA)and carbohydrate antigen 19-9(CA19-9)significantly increased 6 months postoperatively,suggesting an increased risk of recurrence(P<0.05).Both the OS and DFS showed significant changes over time.Preoperative SII and LF levels had significant predictive values for OS and DFS.In logistics regression analysis,a SII of 585 or greater and LF level less than 185 ng/mL(determined by maximizing the Youden index)correlated with postoperative survival(P<0.05).Further Cox regression analysis showed that the SII and LF,CA19-9,and CEA levels were independent predictors of postoperative OS(P<0.05),whereas the tumor,node,metastasis stage;LF level;and SII were independent predictors of DFS.CONCLUSION This preliminary analysis suggests that the SII and LF levels may predict the survival and prognosis of older patients with colon cancer postoperatively,when assessing the risk of postoperative recurrence and complications.These two categories of indicators have good prognostic evaluation potential in clinical practice and can provide strong support for the development of individualized treatment strategies. 展开更多

The results of the 2022-2025 study conducted for the vulnerability assessment of pastures and for the development of improvement measures on the degraded land sections in the arid and semi-arid provinces of the Caucasus under the global climate change conditions are introduced in the current article.The main goal of our scientific work is to study and assess the current ecological and resource state of natural phytocenoses,pastures and hayfields in the arid and semi-arid landscapes under climate change.The paper presents the results of determining the areas and levels of degradation of the natural biogeocenoses and biogeocenoses of the pastures and hayfields in the mountain and highland landscapes.The results were obtained using remote sensing,field and laboratory studies and analyses.The conducted studies have revealed that along 34,174.5 ha pasture and 1342.0 meadows areas of the pastures at the Areni,Yeghegis,Yeghegnadzor and Vayq consolidated administrative territories situated in the arid and semi-arid zones of the Vayots Dzor Region high degradation was recorded in about 6508 hectares of pasture and 407 hectares of meadows areas,which is related to irregular and uncontrolled economic mismanagement of the local population and global climate change.To improve the ecological condition,accessibility and quality of ecosystem services of the pastures,hayfields and natural meadows,comprehensive restoration bioecological and agrotechnical measures have been proposed.They are aimed at improving the air,water and nutrient regimes of soils,at their bioprotection,as well as at the general increase in area and at improving the economic characteristics of the vegetation cover.Such measures on the ecosystem basis are appropriate in the context of enriching the qualitative composition of plants with useful ecological and economic bioecological characteristics,taking into account the characteristics of landscapes,weather and climatic conditions,and agricultural opportunities. 展开更多

A mathematical model of quantum noise having much effect on the low light imaging system is set up. To simulate the quantum noise, the random numbers obeying noise distribution must be formed and are weighted on the basis of the model created. Three uniform random sequences are built by the linear congruential method, of which two are used to form integer number and decimal fraction parts of the new random sequence respectively and the third to shuffle the new sequence. And then a Gauss sequence is formed out of uniform distribution by a function transforming method. It actualizes the simulation in real time of quantum noise in the low light imaging system, where video flow is extracted in real time, the noise summed up and played back side by side with the original video signs by a simulation software. 展开更多

[Method] Five phosphate fertilization levels were designed for wheat and corn respectively to investigate the effects of phosphate fertilization level on wheat/corn intercropping system by field block experiment. [Result] The number of til ers, plant height and yield component of wheat trended to increase with the increase of phos-phate fertilization amount and al reached the peak for phosphate fertilization amount of 135 kg/hm2. However, the number of til ers, plant height and yield component of wheat al decreased significantly with the further increase of phosphate fertilization amount. [Conclusion] Phosphate fertilization contributed to the wheat growth in a certain degree. However, excessive phosphate fertilization would affect final yield. 展开更多

To satisfy different service requirements of multiple users in the orthogo nal frequency division multiple access wireless local area network OFDMA-WLAN system downlink transmission a resource allocation algorithm based on fairness and quality of service QoS provisioning is proposed. Different QoS requirements are converted into different rate requirements to calculate the QoSs atisfaction level.The optimization object is revised as a fairness-driven resource optimization function to provide fairness. The complex resource allocation problem is divided into channel allocation and power assignment sub-problems. The sub-problems are solved by the bipartite graph matching and water-filling based method.Compared with other algorithms the proposed algorithm sacrifices less data rate for higher fairnes and QoS satisfaction.The sim ulation results show that the proposed algorithm is capableo fp rovi ding QoS and fairness and performs better in a tradeoff among QoS fairness and data rate. 展开更多

BACKGROUND:Breast hyperplasia is a common benign breast disease mainly caused by endocrine disorders,manifested as abnormal hyperplasia of breast tissue.In recent years,traditional Chinese medicine compounds and probiotics have shown good potential in regulating the endocrine system and improving the intestinal microecology,providing new ideas for the treatment of breast hyperplasia.OBJECTIVE:To explore the effects and mechanisms of traditional Chinese medicine compounds and fermented probiotic compounds on breast hyperplasia in mice,providing new theoretical and experimental bases for the clinical treatment and prevention of breast hyperplasia.METHODS:(1)Network pharmacology tools were used to predict the anti-breast-hyperplasia activity of Herba Gueldenstaedtiae(Euphorbia humifusa),as well as its potential targets and signaling pathways.The databases included:TCMSP,OMIM,GeneCards database,UniProt website,Venny2.1.0 website,Metascape,HERB website,and STRING database,all of which are open-access databases.Network pharmacology can predict and screen key information such as the targets corresponding to the active ingredients of traditional Chinese medicine,disease targets,and action pathways through network analysis and computer-system analysis.Therefore,it has been increasingly widely used in the research of traditional Chinese medicine.(2)A breast hyperplasia model was induced in mice by injecting estrogen and progesterone.Mice in the normal blank group were injected intraperitoneally with normal saline every day.Mice in the model group and drugadministration groups were injected intraperitoneally with estradiol benzoate injection at a concentration of 0.5 mg/kg every day for 25 days.From the 26th day,the injection of estradiol benzoate injection was stopped.Mice in the normal blank group were injected intramuscularly with normal saline every day,and mice in the model group and drug-administration groups were injected intramuscularly with progesterone injection at a concentration of 5 mg/kg for 5 days.After the model was established,each group was given drugs respectively.The normal blank group and the model group were gavaged with 0.2 mL/d of normal saline;the positive blank group(Xiaozheng Pill group)was gavaged with an aqueous solution of Xiaozheng Pill at 0.9 mg/g;the low-,medium-and high-dose groups of Compound Herba Gueldenstaedtiae were gavaged with an aqueous solution of the compound medicine at 0.75,1.5,and 3.0 mg/(g·d)respectively;the low-,medium-and high-dose groups of traditional Chinese medicine-bacteria fermentation were gavaged with an aqueous solution of the compound medicine at 0.75,1.5,and 3.0 mg/(g·d)respectively.The administration was continuous for 30 days.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1)The results of network pharmacology research showed that the Compound Herba Gueldenstaedtiae(Euphorbia humifusa)contained 46 active ingredients,which were related to 1213 potential targets.After comparison with 588 known breast-hyperplasia targets,it was speculated that 50 of these targets might be related to the direct effect of the compound on breast hyperplasia.(2)After drug intervention,there was no significant change in the high-dose group of Compound Herba Gueldenstaedtiae compared with the normal blank group.The liver indicators of the other intervention groups all significantly decreased(P<0.05).(3)In terms of kidney and uterine indicators,the medium-dose group of Compound Herba Gueldenstaedtiae decreased significantly compared with the normal blank group(P<0.05).In terms of the uterine index,the model group increased significantly compared with the normal blank group(P<0.01).(4)After 1-month drug treatment,the number of lobules and acini in the breast tissue of the Xiaozheng Pill group,the low,medium,and high-dose group of Compound Herba Gueldenstaedtiae,the low,medium,and highdose groups of traditional Chinese medicine-bacteria fermentation decreased,and the duct openings narrowed.With the increase of drug dose,diffuse hyperplasia of breast tissue was significantly improved.(5)The ELISA results showed that compared with the model group,the estrogen level was lower in the medium-dose group of traditional Chinese medicine-bacteria fermentation after the intervention(P<0.05).In addition,the follicle-stimulating hormone level in the low-dose group of Compound Herba Gueldenstaedtiae was lower than that of the model group(P<0.05).(6)The intervention in the mouse model led to changes in the abundance of short chain fatty acids and intestinal flora in all groups.To conclude,the Compound Herba Gueldenstaedtiae and its probiotic fermentation products significantly improved mammary gland hyperplasia in mice by regulating hormone levels,improving the structure of the gut microbiota,and increasing the content of shortchain fatty acids,providing new ideas and potential sources of drugs for the treatment of breast hyperplasia. 展开更多

The onset,cessation,and length of the rainy season are crucial for global water resources,agricultural practices,and food security.However,the response of precipitation seasonality to global warming remains uncertain.In this study,we analyze how global warming levels(GWLs)of 1.5℃ and 2℃ could affect the timing of rainfall onset(RODs),rainfall cessation(RCDs),and the overall duration of the rainy season(LRS)over global land monsoon(GLM)regions using simulations from CMIP6 under the SSP2-4.5 and SSP5-8.5 scenarios.With high model consensus,our results reveal that RODs are projected to occur later over Southern Africa,North Africa,and South America,but earlier over South Asia and Australia,in a warmer climate.The projected early RODs in Australia are more pronounced at the 2℃ GWL under SSP5-8.5.On the other hand,early RCDs are projected over South America and East Asia,while late RCDs are projected over North Africa,with high inter-model agreement.These changes are associated with a future decrease in LRS in most GLM regions.Additionally,we found that continuous warming over 1.5℃ will further reduce the length of the rainy season,especially over the South America,North Africa,and Southern Africa monsoon regions.The findings underscore the urgent need to mitigate global warming. 展开更多
