Influence of Welding Residual Stress on the Structural Behaviour of Large-Span Steel Tube Arch Rib

The steel tube arch rib in a large-span concrete-filled steel tube arch bridge has a large span and diameter,which also leads to a larger weld seam scale.Large-scale welding seams will inevitably cause more obvious welding residual stress(WRS).For the purpose of studying the influence of WRS from large-scale welding seam on the mechanical properties of steel tube arch rib during arch rib splicing,test research and numerical simulation analysis on the WRS in arch rib splicing based on the Guangxi Pingnan Third Bridge,which is the world’s largest span concrete-filled steel tube arch bridge,were conducted in this paper,and the distribution pattern of WRS at the arch rib splicing joint was obtained.Subsequently,the WRS was introduced into the mechanical performance analysis of joints and structures to analyze its effects.The findings reveal that the distribution of WRS in the arch rib is greatly influenced by the rib plate,and the axial WRS in the heat-affected zone are primarily tensile,while the circumferential WRS are distributed in an alternating pattern of tensile and compressive stresses along the circumferential direction of the main tube.Under the influence of WRS,the ultimate bearing capacity of the joint is reduced by 29.4%,the initial axial stiffness is reduced by 4.32%,and the vertical deformation of the arch rib structure is increased by 4.7%. 展开更多

They are mature enough to be one of the most important structural types of wharves in China coastal areas. In order to accommodate large tonnage vessels, wharves should be eorrstructed in deep water gradually. However, conventional high-pile and beam-slab structares are hard to meet the requirements of large deep-water wharf. According to arch' s stress characteristics, a new type of wharf with catenary arched longitudinal beams is presented in this paper. The new wharf structure can make full use of arch's overhead crossing and reinforced concrete compression resistance, improve the interval between transverse bents greatly, and decrease underwater construction quantity. Thus, the construction cost cab be reduced. Take the third phase project of the Yangshan Deep-water Port for example, comparative analysis on catenary arched longitudinal beams and conventional longitudinal beams has been made. The result shows that with the same wharf length and width, the same loads and same longitudinal beam moment, catenary arch structure can improve the interval between bents up to 28 m, decrease the nmnber of piles and underwater construction quantity. 展开更多

Shaking table tests of a 1:10 scale arch model performed to investigate the seismic behavior and resistance of concrete filled steel tubular (CFT) arch structures are described in this paper. The El-Centro record and Shanghai artificial wave were adopted as the input excitation. The entire test process can be divided into three stages depending on the lateral brace configurations, i.e., fully (five) braced, two braces removed, and all braces removed. A total of 46 tests, starting from the elastic state to failure condition, have been conducted. The natural vibration frequencies, responses of acceleration, displacement and strain were measured. From the test results, it is demonstrated that the CFT arch structures are capable of resisting severe ground motions and that CFT arches offer a credible alternative to reinforced concrete arches, especially in regions of high seismic intensity. 展开更多

To achieve rational and precise seismic response predictions of large span spatial structures(LSSSs),the inherent non-uniformity and multidimensionality characteristics of earthquake ground motions should be properly taken into consideration.However,due to the limitations of available earthquake stations to record seismic rotational components,the effects of rocking and torsional earthquake components are commonly neglected in the seismic analyses of LSSSs.In this study,a newly developed method to extract the rocking and torsion components at any point along the area of a deployed dense array from the translational earthquake recordings is applied to obtain the rotational seismic inputs for a LSSS.The numerical model of an actual LSSS,the Dalian International Conference Center(DICC),is developed to study the influences of multi-support and multidimensional excitations on the seismic responses of LSSSs.The numerical results reveal that the non-uniformity and multidimensionality of ground motion input can considerably affect the dynamic response of the DICC.The specific degree of influence on the overall and local structural displacements,deformations and forces are comprehensively investigated and discussed. 展开更多

The wind-induced dynamic response of long-span light-weight steel arch structure of the global transportation center (GTC) of Beijing Capital International Airport was studied. A composite technique with combination of WAWS(Weighted Amplitude Wavelet Superposition) and FFT(Fast Fourier Transformation) was introduced to simulate wind velocity time series of hundreds of spatial points simultaneously. The structural shape factors of wind load was obtained from wind tunnel model test. The wind vibration factor based on structural displacement response was investigated. After comparing the computational results with wind tunnel model test data, it was found out that the two results accord with each other if wind comes from 0° direction angle, but are quite different if wind comes from 180° direction angle in the area blocked off by airport terminals. The possible reasons of this difference were analyzed. Haar wavelet was used to transform and analyze wind velocity time series and structural wind-induced dynamic responses. The relationship between exciting wind loads and structural responses was studied in time and frequency domains. 展开更多

First, distribution rules of the arch structure were summarized. According to the load condition and the structure of the frame, a mechanical model of arch structure was devel- oped, and two solutions for the model were analyzed and compared with each other. Through the a- nalysis, application rules of arch structure for improving the design were obtained. Then, distribu- tion rules of peltate venation structure were summarized. By using the same method, application rules of peltate venation structure for improving the design were also obtained. Finally, mechanical problem of the frame was described, and rib arrangement of the frame was redesigned. A parameter optimization for the widths of ribs in bionic arrangement was also carried out to accomplish the im- proving design. Comparison between bionic and conventional reinforcing frames shows that the weight is reduced by as much as 15.3%. 展开更多

Currently,more than ten ultrahigh arch dams have been constructed or are being constructed in China.Safety control is essential to long-term operation of these dams.This study employed the flexibility coefficient and plastic complementary energy norm to assess the structural safety of arch dams.A comprehensive analysis was conducted,focusing on differences among conventional methods in characterizing the structural behavior of the Xiaowan arch dam in China.Subsequently,the spatiotemporal characteristics of the measured performance of the Xiaowan dam were explored,including periodicity,convergence,and time-effect characteristics.These findings revealed the governing mechanism of main factors.Furthermore,a heterogeneous spatial panel vector model was developed,considering both common factors and specific factors affecting the safety and performance of arch dams.This model aims to comprehensively illustrate spatial heterogeneity between the entire structure and local regions,introducing a specific effect quantity to characterize local deformation differences.Ultimately,the proposed model was applied to the Xiaowan arch dam,accurately quantifying the spatiotemporal heterogeneity of dam performance.Additionally,the spatiotemporal distri-bution characteristics of environmental load effects on different parts of the dam were reasonably interpreted.Validation of the model prediction enhances its credibility,leading to the formulation of health diagnosis criteria for future long-term operation of the Xiaowan dam.The findings not only enhance the predictive ability and timely control of ultrahigh arch dams'performance but also provide a crucial basis for assessing the effectiveness of engineering treatment measures. 展开更多

This particular type of structures, characterized by a very old use tradition, is nowadays, widely exploited because of its strength, resilience, cost-effectiveness and charm. In recent years, a more conscious design approach that focuses on a more proper use of the building materials combined with the increasing of the computational capability of the modern computers, has led the research in the civil engineering field to the study of optimization algorithms applications aimed at the definition of the best design parameters. In this paper, a differential formulation and a MATLAB code for the calculation of the internal stresses in the arch structure are proposed. Then, the application of a machine learning algorithm, the genetic algorithm, for the calculation of the geometrical parameters, that allows to minimize the quantity of material that constitute the arch structures, is implemented. In this phase, the method used to calculate the stresses has been considered as a constraint function to reduce the range of the solutions to the only ones able to bear the design loads with the smallest volume. In particular, some case studies with different cross-sections are reported to prove the validity of the method and to compare the obtained results in terms of optimization effectiveness. </div> 展开更多

考虑吊杆系统性失效的多跨下承式系杆拱桥强健性设计

为研究吊杆系统性失效对下承式系杆拱桥产生的动力冲击效应,首先采用3种数值计算方法(LS-DYNA重启动法、生死单元法、全动力分析法)模拟吊杆断索效应,并与吊杆破断试验的动力响应数据进行对比,以选择最优的吊杆系统性失效模拟方法;其次... 为研究吊杆系统性失效对下承式系杆拱桥产生的动力冲击效应,首先采用3种数值计算方法(LS-DYNA重启动法、生死单元法、全动力分析法)模拟吊杆断索效应,并与吊杆破断试验的动力响应数据进行对比,以选择最优的吊杆系统性失效模拟方法;其次,为加强多跨下承式系杆拱桥结构的强健性和防连续性垮塌性能,提出先简支后连续结构、刚性整体式系杆拱结构2种形式的结构体系,采用失效模拟方法分析对比了结构改造前后吊杆系统性失效下剩余结构的动力响应,并利用Simple-Johnson-Cook模型对桥梁破坏过程进行仿真,获取结构最终破坏形态;在此基础上,探讨了吊杆系统性失效下结构的连续性垮塌破坏机理。研究结果表明:LS-DYNA重启动法的模拟结果与试验数据误差较小,能够更好地模拟吊杆瞬时破坏时的工况;先简支后连续结构在吊杆系统性失效下桥道系的最终破坏损伤程度最小,传力路径更长,可以有效地延缓结构的破坏历程,减小发生连续性垮塌事故的风险,为交通疏散争取时间;而刚性整体式系杆拱结构由于初始刚度较高,易引发应力集中,导致桥道系局部过早失效。因此,先简支后连续结构可适用于新建的多跨下承式系杆拱桥的设计,或可通过在墩顶设置可更换式节点,从而将其便捷地应用于既有桥梁的强健性改造中。 展开更多

为了研究偏压黄土连拱隧道支护结构受力特征,该文以卓合高速捏业隧道为依托工程,基于现场监测对偏压黄土连拱隧道初期支护钢拱架应力、二次衬砌钢筋轴力及混凝土应变时空分布规律进行了系统分析和研究,并对黄土连拱隧道在正洞贯通、初... 为了研究偏压黄土连拱隧道支护结构受力特征,该文以卓合高速捏业隧道为依托工程,基于现场监测对偏压黄土连拱隧道初期支护钢拱架应力、二次衬砌钢筋轴力及混凝土应变时空分布规律进行了系统分析和研究,并对黄土连拱隧道在正洞贯通、初期支护及仰拱施工完成后同时进行左右洞二衬的施工(二衬晚施工)的可行性进行了分析。研究结果表明:初期支护结构尽早闭合成环有利于隧道的稳定性;受地形的偏压的影响,右洞初支钢拱架内外侧压应力最大值均出现在右拱肩位置处,其值分别为277.9、243.2 MPa,且接近或超过了钢材的屈服强度;左洞初支钢拱架内外侧压应力最大值分别出现在左拱脚和拱底位置处;左右洞二衬内外侧钢筋最大压力出现在右洞左边墙处,最大拉力出现在左洞左拱脚处;右洞仰拱右侧中部混凝土拉应变超过了规范值,因此,该测点处存在隆起的风险;针对文中所依托的偏压连拱短隧道(暗洞长110 m)而言,所提出的连拱隧道较晚的施作二衬是可行的。 展开更多

CRTSⅡ型轨道板上拱稳定性判别方法研究

基于解释结构模型理论,将涵盖设计、生产、施工、材料、线下基础、病害及环境这7方面共计15个影响因素的轨道板上拱稳定性系统转化成一个5级递阶有向图,构建各因素对轨道板上拱影响的层次结构,明晰各因素对轨道板上拱影响的性质类别。... 基于解释结构模型理论,将涵盖设计、生产、施工、材料、线下基础、病害及环境这7方面共计15个影响因素的轨道板上拱稳定性系统转化成一个5级递阶有向图,构建各因素对轨道板上拱影响的层次结构,明晰各因素对轨道板上拱影响的性质类别。在此基础上,建立几何尺寸表征各直接影响因素、计算结果可映射根本影响因素的轨道板上拱稳定性二维数值模型;以伤损实际状态、现行的铁路规范为依据,确定各直接影响因素的取值范围,并拟定体现多因素不同状态相互耦合效果的210组计算工况;以各工况、各工况条件下数值模型计算的轨道板上拱2 mm时的计算结果构成样本数据集,采用多元线性回归分析方法,建立以各直接影响因素为自变量、根本影响因素为因变量的分析模型;提出仅将回归模型的预测结果与实际值进行比较即可判别轨道板上拱稳定性的方法,并验证该判别方法的正确性;基于回归模型中的标准化系数,确定各直接影响因素对轨道板上拱稳定性影响程度的主次关系。研究结果表明:在诸多轨道板上拱稳定性的影响因素中,窄接缝伤损及初始弯曲是直接因素,温度是根本因素;轨道板初始弯曲、窄接缝破损高度及宽度这3个因素对轨道板上拱稳定性的影响程度是依次减弱的;提出的轨道板上拱稳定性判别方法的准确率达90%,说明该方法可较好地适用于板体上拱稳定性的判别。 展开更多

约束混凝土箱型钢拱架是箱型钢和核心混凝土形成的组合拱架结构,也是有效控制软岩隧洞变形的一种新型支护形式,目前尚缺少关于这类拱架承载特性的研究工作。为此,推导了约束混凝土箱型截面压弯屈服判据,分析了该类型拱架的强度极限承载... 约束混凝土箱型钢拱架是箱型钢和核心混凝土形成的组合拱架结构,也是有效控制软岩隧洞变形的一种新型支护形式,目前尚缺少关于这类拱架承载特性的研究工作。为此,推导了约束混凝土箱型截面压弯屈服判据,分析了该类型拱架的强度极限承载力和结构稳定极限承载力,同时对比了约束混凝土箱型钢拱架、H型钢拱架、箱型钢拱架3种类型拱架的承载特性。研究结果表明:约束混凝土箱型钢拱架截面屈服判据值在同型号中最高,其轴压屈服强度极限平均为箱型截面的1.4倍、H型钢截面的2.2倍,纯弯屈服强度极限平均为箱型截面的1.1倍、H型钢截面的1.5倍;约束混凝土箱型钢拱架强度和结构稳定极限承载力均高于同型号箱型和H型钢拱架,强度极限承载力是箱型钢拱架的1.3~1.4倍、H型钢拱架的2.2~2.3倍;结构稳定极限承载力是箱型钢拱架的1.03~1.04倍、H型钢拱架的1.10~1.27倍。约束混凝土箱型钢拱架承载特性优势显著,能够为软岩隧洞提供更为可靠和高效的支护。 展开更多

针对直角梯形巷道倾斜顶板变形破坏后难以支护的特点,考虑垂直地层压力和水平侧压力的综合作用,构建了倾斜顶板等效力学计算模型,确定了倾斜岩梁最大挠度断面所在位置,讨论了倾斜顶板异形拱的形态及其最大矢高,构建了倾斜顶板“拱-梁”... 针对直角梯形巷道倾斜顶板变形破坏后难以支护的特点,考虑垂直地层压力和水平侧压力的综合作用,构建了倾斜顶板等效力学计算模型,确定了倾斜岩梁最大挠度断面所在位置,讨论了倾斜顶板异形拱的形态及其最大矢高,构建了倾斜顶板“拱-梁”锚固承载结构,对羊场湾矿130205工作面风巷倾斜顶板的锚杆(索)支护参数进行了优化设计。结果表明:倾斜顶板岩梁最大挠度截面不在巷道中线上,而是在偏离高帮侧的0.5 l 0~0.6l 0这一区间范围;倾斜岩梁最大挠度断面左右两侧具有不同的异形拱形态,异形拱最大矢高与岩梁跨度、倾角和所受侧压力大小密切相关;倾斜岩梁在异形拱内离层岩体碎胀压力下发生挠曲变形,“拱-梁”锚固承载结构对倾斜顶板非对称变形具有显著的控制作用;优化设计后,监测断面顶底板累计相对移近量最大值为65 mm,两帮累计相对收敛量最大值为60 mm,顶板及两帮控制效果良好。 展开更多

渗流作用下砂漏型岩溶塌陷在“上黏下砂”二元结构覆盖层隐伏岩溶区经常发生,此类塌陷宏细观力学机理和漏砂启动力学评价模型的研究还不充分。以武汉市二元结构覆盖层岩溶区由岩溶水位降低诱发的陆家街岩溶塌陷为例,采用物理模型试验和P... 渗流作用下砂漏型岩溶塌陷在“上黏下砂”二元结构覆盖层隐伏岩溶区经常发生,此类塌陷宏细观力学机理和漏砂启动力学评价模型的研究还不充分。以武汉市二元结构覆盖层岩溶区由岩溶水位降低诱发的陆家街岩溶塌陷为例,采用物理模型试验和PFC(particle flow code)-CFD(computational fluid dynamics)耦合数值试验探索塌陷破坏的宏细观力学机理,并构建渗流作用下漏砂启动的土拱极限平衡力学评价模型。结果表明:(1)物理模型试验和数值模型试验得到的陆家街塌陷临界水位差分别为7.2 m和8.0 m,误差约10%,漏砂启动后砂层底部孔隙水压力骤降,地表沉降增加;(2)在到达临界水位差之前,岩溶开口处砂层流速增大而孔隙水压力减小,土拱水平应力、竖向应力以及侧压力系数增大,且水力梯度增大速率明显大于侧压力系数;(3)所构建的渗流作用下土拱极限平衡模型表明,随着水位差增加,土拱中致塌力和抗塌力都在增加,但致塌力增大更明显。研究结果对提高砂漏型岩溶塌陷防灾监测水平具有重要意义。 展开更多

为探究带助爆环锥反拱爆破片在快速加压工况下的失效机理及爆破压力影响因素,结合爆破试验,对爆破片的爆破过程进行了数值模拟,探讨了爆破片结构参数对爆破压力的影响规律。研究结果表明,反拱带锥型爆破片的爆破可分为稳定压缩、根部塌... 为探究带助爆环锥反拱爆破片在快速加压工况下的失效机理及爆破压力影响因素,结合爆破试验,对爆破片的爆破过程进行了数值模拟,探讨了爆破片结构参数对爆破压力的影响规律。研究结果表明,反拱带锥型爆破片的爆破可分为稳定压缩、根部塌陷、高速翻转-刺破和高速翻转-断裂4个阶段。其中,爆破片的根部塌陷主要由压缩膜力引起;在根部塌陷之后,爆破片丧失了稳定性,并开始高速翻转;爆破片与助爆环锥接触后,接触区域的膜力和剪力迅速增大,超过屈服极限,此时,爆破片的断裂失效模式为拉伸-剪切混合失效。爆破片的爆破压力受爆破片拱高、厚度及直径影响较大,受助爆锥结构参数的影响很小。爆破片的爆破压力随拱高和直径的增大而减小,随厚度的增加而明显增大。研究结果可为反拱爆破片结构优化设计及其工程应用提供理论依据。 展开更多
