This paper investigates the problem of dynamic event-triggered control for a class of large-scale nonlinear systems.In particular,both neutral delays and unknown backlash-like hysteresis are considered.This requires to integrate a compensation mechanism into the event-triggered control architecture.To this end,dynamic gain and adaptive control techniques are introduced to address the effects of neutral delays,unknown hysteresis and parameter uncertainties simultaneously.By introducing a non-negative internal dynamic variable,a dynamic event-triggered controller is designed using the hyperbolic tangent function to reduce the communication burden.By means of the Lyapunov–Krasovskii method,it is demonstrated that all signals of the closed-loop system are globally bounded and eventually converge to a tunable bounded region.Moreover,the Zeno behavior is avoided.Finally,a simulation example is presented to verify the validity of the control scheme. 展开更多

An adaptive decentralized asymptotic tracking control scheme is developed in this paper for a class of large-scale nonlinear systems with unknown strong interconnections,unknown time-varying parameters,and disturbances.First,by employing the intrinsic properties of Gaussian functions for the interconnection terms for the first time,all extra signals in the framework of decentralized control are filtered out,thereby removing all additional assumptions imposed on the interconnec-tions,such as upper bounding functions and matching conditions.Second,by introducing two integral bounded functions,asymptotic tracking control is realized.Moreover,the nonlinear filters with the compensation terms are introduced to circumvent the issue of“explosion of complexity”.It is shown that all the closed-loop signals are bounded and the tracking errors converge to zero asymptotically.In the end,a simulation example is carried out to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. 展开更多

A new type controller, BP neural-networks-based sliding mode controller is developed for a class of large-scale nonlinear systems with unknown bounds of high-order interconnections in this paper. It is shown that decentralized BP neural networks are used to adaptively learn the uncertainty bounds of interconnected subsystems in the Lyapunov sense, and the outputs of the decentralized BP neural networks are then used as the parameters of the sliding mode controller to compensate for the effects of subsystems uncertainties. Using this scheme, not only strong robustness with respect to uncertainty dynamics and nonlinearities can be obtained, but also the output tracking error between the actual output of each subsystem and the corresponding desired reference output can asymptotically converge to zero. A simulation example is presented to support the validity of the proposed BP neural-networks-based sliding mode controller. 展开更多

Based on the explicit finite element(FE) method and platform of ABAQUS,considering both the inhomogeneity of soils and concave-convex fluctuation of topography,a large-scale refined two-dimensional(2D) FE nonlinear analytical model for Fuzhou Basin was established.The peak ground motion acceleration(PGA) and focusing effect with depth were analyzed.Meanwhile,the results by wave propagation of one-dimensional(1D) layered medium equivalent linearization method were added for contrast.The results show that:1) PGA at different depths are obviously amplified compared to the input ground motion,amplification effect of both funnel-shaped depression and upheaval areas(based on the shape of bedrock surface) present especially remarkable.The 2D results indicate that the PGA displays a non-monotonic decreasing with depth and a greater focusing effect of some particular layers,while the 1D results turn out that the PGA decreases with depth,except that PGA at few particular depth increases abruptly; 2) To the funnel-shaped depression areas,PGA amplification effect above 8 m depth shows relatively larger,to the upheaval areas,PGA amplification effect from 15 m to 25 m depth seems more significant.However,the regularities of the PGA amplification effect could hardly be found in the rest areas; 3) It appears a higher regression rate of PGA amplification coefficient with depth when under a smaller input motion; 4) The frequency spectral characteristic of input motion has noticeable effects on PGA amplification tendency. 展开更多

The recent upsurge in metro construction emphasizes the necessity of understanding the mechanical performance of metro shield tunnel subjected to the influence of ground fissures.In this study,a largescale experiment,in combination with numerical simulation,was conducted to investigate the influence of ground fissures on a metro shield tunnel.The results indicate that the lining contact pressure at the vault increases in the hanging wall while decreases in the footwall,resulting in a two-dimensional stress state of vertical shear and axial tension-compression,and simultaneous vertical dislocation and axial tilt for the segments around the ground fissure.In addition,the damage to curved bolts includes tensile yield,flexural yield,and shear twist,leading to obvious concrete lining damage,particularly at the vault,arch bottom,and hance,indicating that the joints in these positions are weak areas.The shield tunnel orthogonal to the ground fissure ultimately experiences shear failure,suggesting that the maximum actual dislocation of ground fissure that the structure can withstand is approximately 20 cm,and five segment rings in the hanging wall and six segment rings in the footwall also need to be reinforced.This study could provide a reference for metro design in ground fissure sites. 展开更多

The problem of adaptive fuzzy control for a class of large-scale, time-delayed systems with unknown nonlinear dead-zone is discussed here. Based on the principle of variable structure control, a design scheme of adaptive, decentralized, variable structure control is proposed. The approach removes the conditions that the dead-zone slopes and boundaries are equal and symmetric, respectively. In addition, it does not require that the assumptions that all parameters of the nonlinear dead-zone model and the lumped uncertainty are known constants. The adaptive compensation terms of the approximation errors axe adopted to minimize the influence of modeling errors and parameter estimation errors. By theoretical analysis, the closed-loop control system is proved to be semiglobally uniformly ultimately bounded, with tracking errors converging to zero. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach. 展开更多

A lightweight geometrically nonlinear attachment,the strongly nonlinear absorber(SNA),is adopted to suppress the shock response of a linear,large-scale nine-story structure.The role of the SNA is not only to dissipate but also to redistribute the shock energy among the modes of the structure.In this study,single-and two-degree-of-freedom(SDOF and Two-DOF)SNAs are investigated.The quantitative results for shock energy redistribution indicate that with strong geometric nonlinearity,one can achieve low-to-high frequency nonlinear targeted energy transfer in this structure.Specifically,the percentages of shock energy dissipated by higher structural modes for the cases of locked SNA,SDOF SNA,and Two-DOF SNA are 0.08%,0.43%,and 30.04%,respectively.The results indicate that the Two-DOF SNA is capable of rapidly scattering far more energy to much higher frequencies than the SDOF SNA,thereby more quickly reducing the shock response of the primary structure.The robustness of the performance of the SNAs is also studied for varying shock intensities,where the Two-DOF SNA is shown to be significantly more robust at scattering shock energy from low to high frequencies.Last,an effective damping measure is employed to verify and quantify the redistribution of the modal energies in the primary structure.The potential applications of this new passive shock mitigation method are discussed. 展开更多

A decentralized control law is proposed which combines the approximation method of neural network with sliding mode control. The decentralized controller consists of an equivalent controller and an adaptive sliding mode controller. The sliding mode controller is a robust controller used to reduce the track error of the control system. The neural networks are used to approximate the unknown nonlinear functions, meanwhile the approximation errors of the neural networks are applied to the weight value updated law to improve performance of the system. Influence of Friction Condition on Cavity Filling for Large-Scale Titanium Alloy Strut Forging

The titanium alloy strut serves as a key load-bearing component of aircraft landing gear,typically manufactured via forging.The friction condition has important influence on material flow and cavity filling during the forging process.Using the previously optimized shape and initial position of preform,the influence of the friction condition(friction factor m=0.1–0.3)on material flow and cavity filling was studied by numerical method with a shear friction model.A novel filling index was defined to reflect material flow into left and right flashes and zoom in on friction-induced results.The results indicate that the workpiece moves rigidly to the right direction,with the displacement decreasing as m increases.When m<0.18,the underfilling defect will occur in the left side of strut forging,while overflow occurs in the right forging die cavity.By combining the filling index and analyses of material flow and filling status,a reasonable friction factor interval of m=0.21–0.24 can be determined.Within this interval,the cavity filling behavior demonstrates robustness,with friction fluctuations exerting minimal influence. 展开更多

This paper considers the problems of robust non-fragile fuzzy control for a class of uncertain discrete nonlinear large-scale systems with time-delay and controller gain perturbations described by T-S fuzzy model. An equivalent T-S fuzzy model is represented for discrete-delay nonlinear large-scale systems. A sufficient condition for the existence of such non-fragile controllers is further derived via the Lyapunov function and the linear matrix inequality( LMI) approach. Simulation results demonstrate the feasibility and the effectiveness of the proposed design and the proper stabilization of the system in spite of controller gain variations and uncertainties. 展开更多

The truncated Newton method is used to update the variables with indices outside of the active set, while the projected gradient method is used to update the active variables. At each iterative level, the search direction consists of three parts, one of which is a subspace truncated Newton direction, the other two are subspace gradient and modified gradient directions. The subspace truncated Newton direction is obtained by solving a sparse system of linear equations. The global convergence and quadratic convergence rate of the algorithm are proved and some numerical tests are given. 展开更多

For discrete systems, only the stability of linear autonomous comparison equations was studied in the past. In this paper, various criteria of stability for discrete nonlinear autonomous comparison equations are completely established. Among them, a criterion for asymptotic stability is not only sufficient, but also necessary, from which a criterion on the function class C, is derived. Both of them can be used to determine the unexponential stability, even in the large, for discrete nonlinear (autonomous or nonautonomous) systems. This article focuses on the management of large-scale machinery and equipment in highway construction,with the research objective of identifying issues at the management level and exploring more effective management measures.Through practical observation and logical analysis,this article elaborates on the management connotations of large-scale machinery and equipment in highway construction,affirming its management value from different perspectives.On this basis,it carefully analyzes the problems existing in the management of large-scale machinery and equipment,providing a detailed interpretation of issues such as the weak foundation of the equipment management system and the disconnection between equipment selection and configuration from reality.Combining the manifestations of related problems,this article proposes strategies such as strengthening the institutional foundation of equipment management,selecting and configuring equipment based on actual conditions,aiming to provide references for large-scale machinery and equipment management to relevant enterprises. 展开更多
