Based on the technological demands for significantly enhancing oil recovery and long-term CO_(2)sequestration in the lacustrine oil reservoirs of China,this study systematically reviews the progress and practices of C...Based on the technological demands for significantly enhancing oil recovery and long-term CO_(2)sequestration in the lacustrine oil reservoirs of China,this study systematically reviews the progress and practices of CO_(2)flooding and storage technologies in recent years.It addresses the key technological needs and challenges faced in scaling up the application of CO_(2)flooding and storage to mature,developed oil fields,and analyzes future development directions.During the pilot test phase(2006-2019),continuous development and application practices led to the establishment of the first-generation CO_(2)flooding and storage technology system for lacustrine reservoirs.In the industrialization phase(since 2020),significant advances and insights have been achieved in terms of confined phase behavior,storage mechanisms,reservoir engineering,sweep control,engineering process and storage monitoring,enabling the maturation of the second-generation CO_(2)flooding and storage theories and technologies to effectively support the demonstration projects of Carbon Capture,Utilization and Storage(CCUS).To overcome key technical issues such as low miscibility,difficulty in gas channeling control,high process requirements,limited application scenarios,and coordination challenges in CO_(2)flooding and storage,and to support the large-scale application of CCUS,it is necessary to strengthen research on key technologies for establishing the third-generation CO_(2)flooding and storage technological system incorporating miscibility enhancement and transformation,comprehensive regulation for sweep enhancement,whole-process engineering techniques and equipment,long-term storage monitoring safety,and synergistic optimization of flooding and storage.展开更多

Motor neuron diseases are sporadic or inherited fatal neurodegenerative conditions.They selectively affect the upper and/or lower motor neurons in the brain and spinal cord and feature a slow onset and a subacute cour...Motor neuron diseases are sporadic or inherited fatal neurodegenerative conditions.They selectively affect the upper and/or lower motor neurons in the brain and spinal cord and feature a slow onset and a subacute course contingent upon the site of damage.The main types include amyotrophic lateral sclerosis,progressive muscular atrophy,primary lateral sclerosis,and progressive bulbar palsy,the pathological processes of which are largely identical,with the main disparity lying in the location of the lesions.Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is the representative condition in this group of diseases,while other types are its variants.Hence,this article mainly focuses on the advancements and challenges in drug research for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis but also briefly addresses several other important degenerative motor neuron diseases.Although the precise pathogenesis remains elusive,recent advancements have shed light on various theories,including gene mutation,excitatory amino acid toxicity,autoimmunology,and neurotrophic factors.The US Food and Drug Administration has approved four drugs for use in delaying the progression of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis:riluzole,edaravone,AMX0035,and tofersen,with the latter being the most recent to receive approval.However,following several phaseⅢtrials that failed to yield favorable outcomes,AMX0035 has been voluntarily withdrawn from both the US and Canadian markets.This article presents a comprehensive summary of drug trials primarily completed between January 1,2023,and June 30,2024,based on data sourced from clinicaltrials.gov.Among these trials,five are currently in phaseⅠ,seventeen are in phaseⅡ,and eleven are undergoing phaseⅢevaluation.Notably,24 clinical trials are now investigating potential disease-modifying therapy drugs,accounting for the majority of the drugs included in this review.Some promising drugs being investigated in preclinical studies,such as ATH-1105,are included in our analysis,and another review in frontiers in gene therapy and immunotherapy has demonstrated their therapeutic potential for motor neuron diseases.This article was written to be an overview of research trends and treatment prospects related to motor neuron disease drugs,with the aim of highlighting the latest potentialities for clinical therapy.展开更多

By viewing satellite imagery, a striking large-scale dunefield can be clearly perceived, with a size of nearly 63 km long and 11 km wide, and trending NE-SW, on the right flank of the lower Laoha River, Northeast Chin...By viewing satellite imagery, a striking large-scale dunefield can be clearly perceived, with a size of nearly 63 km long and 11 km wide, and trending NE-SW, on the right flank of the lower Laoha River, Northeast China. By means of remote sensing imagery analysis and field observation as well as a comparison with a small-scale dunefield on the right flank of the lower Xiangshui River, analogous to the case of the lower Laoha River, this paper presents a new mechanism for its origin and development. The results show that: (1) the large-scale dunefield bears a tile-style framework overwhelmingly composed of transverse barchanoid ridges perpendicular to the predominant winds, and inlaid diverse blowouts. (2) The small-scale dunefield, referred to as a primary structural unit of the large one, is typical of an incipient dunefield, following the same rules of evolution as the larger. (3) A succession of barchanoid ridge chains can steadily migrate downwind in much the same manner as surface wave propagation in air or water stimulated by an incised valley, and ultimately tend to bear roughly the same wavelength and amplitude under stable climate and hydrologic regimes. (4) The first ridge chain acquires its sand source substantially from the downwind escarpments exposing the loose Quaternary sandy sediments to the air, while the ensuing ridges derive their sands dominantly from in situ deflation of the underlain Quaternary loose sandy sediments in blowouts, partly from the upwind ridges through northern elongated horns. Theoretically, the sands from riparian escarpments can be transported by wind to the downwind distal end of a dunefield after sufficient long du- ration. (5) The lower Laohahe region experienced probably three significant climatic changes in the past, corresponding to the three active dune belts, suggesting that once a large-scale dunefield occurs, it is nearly impossible to be completely stabilized, at least in its central portions. At present, seasonal shrinkage and stagnation of the lower Laoha River, wide-spread farming and afforestation in the valley, and establishing windbreaks downwind of the valley as well as surrounding the dunefield, appear to have significantly modified local flow fields and sand sources, engendering significant degradation of the dunefield.展开更多

文摘Motor neuron diseases are sporadic or inherited fatal neurodegenerative conditions.They selectively affect the upper and/or lower motor neurons in the brain and spinal cord and feature a slow onset and a subacute course contingent upon the site of damage.The main types include amyotrophic lateral sclerosis,progressive muscular atrophy,primary lateral sclerosis,and progressive bulbar palsy,the pathological processes of which are largely identical,with the main disparity lying in the location of the lesions.Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is the representative condition in this group of diseases,while other types are its variants.Hence,this article mainly focuses on the advancements and challenges in drug research for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis but also briefly addresses several other important degenerative motor neuron diseases.Although the precise pathogenesis remains elusive,recent advancements have shed light on various theories,including gene mutation,excitatory amino acid toxicity,autoimmunology,and neurotrophic factors.The US Food and Drug Administration has approved four drugs for use in delaying the progression of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis:riluzole,edaravone,AMX0035,and tofersen,with the latter being the most recent to receive approval.However,following several phaseⅢtrials that failed to yield favorable outcomes,AMX0035 has been voluntarily withdrawn from both the US and Canadian markets.This article presents a comprehensive summary of drug trials primarily completed between January 1,2023,and June 30,2024,based on data sourced from clinicaltrials.gov.Among these trials,five are currently in phaseⅠ,seventeen are in phaseⅡ,and eleven are undergoing phaseⅢevaluation.Notably,24 clinical trials are now investigating potential disease-modifying therapy drugs,accounting for the majority of the drugs included in this review.Some promising drugs being investigated in preclinical studies,such as ATH-1105,are included in our analysis,and another review in frontiers in gene therapy and immunotherapy has demonstrated their therapeutic potential for motor neuron diseases.This article was written to be an overview of research trends and treatment prospects related to motor neuron disease drugs,with the aim of highlighting the latest potentialities for clinical therapy.

文摘Oligodendrocytes and their cell-intrinsic gene regulatory network:Oligodendrocytes(OLs)are the myelinating glial cells of the vertebrate central nervous system.They are responsible for insulating neuronal axons with a lipid-rich myelin sheath,which enables the saltatory conduction of action potentials.During development,oligodendrocyte progenitor cells(OPCs)emerge from neural stem cells in the ventricular zone.They then proliferate,increase their number,and migrate to their final destination where they encounter unmyelinated neuronal axons and differentiate in a stepwise fashion into myelinating oligodendrocytes(mOLs)under the influence of environmental stimuli.

文摘The key activity to build semantic web is to build ontologies. But today, the theory and methodology of ontology construction is still far from ready. This paper proposed a theoretical framework for massive knowledge management- the knowledge domain framework (KDF), and introduces an integrated development environment (IDE) named large-scale ontology development environment (LODE), which implements the proposed theoretical framework. We also compared LODE with other popular ontology development environments in this paper. The practice of using LODE on management and development of agriculture ontologies shows that knowledge domain framework can handle the development activities of large scale ontologies. 文摘By viewing satellite imagery, a striking large-scale dunefield can be clearly perceived, with a size of nearly 63 km long and 11 km wide, and trending NE-SW, on the right flank of the lower Laoha River, Northeast China. By means of remote sensing imagery analysis and field observation as well as a comparison with a small-scale dunefield on the right flank of the lower Xiangshui River, analogous to the case of the lower Laoha River, this paper presents a new mechanism for its origin and development. The results show that: (1) the large-scale dunefield bears a tile-style framework overwhelmingly composed of transverse barchanoid ridges perpendicular to the predominant winds, and inlaid diverse blowouts. (2) The small-scale dunefield, referred to as a primary structural unit of the large one, is typical of an incipient dunefield, following the same rules of evolution as the larger. (3) A succession of barchanoid ridge chains can steadily migrate downwind in much the same manner as surface wave propagation in air or water stimulated by an incised valley, and ultimately tend to bear roughly the same wavelength and amplitude under stable climate and hydrologic regimes. (4) The first ridge chain acquires its sand source substantially from the downwind escarpments exposing the loose Quaternary sandy sediments to the air, while the ensuing ridges derive their sands dominantly from in situ deflation of the underlain Quaternary loose sandy sediments in blowouts, partly from the upwind ridges through northern elongated horns. Theoretically, the sands from riparian escarpments can be transported by wind to the downwind distal end of a dunefield after sufficient long du- ration. (5) The lower Laohahe region experienced probably three significant climatic changes in the past, corresponding to the three active dune belts, suggesting that once a large-scale dunefield occurs, it is nearly impossible to be completely stabilized, at least in its central portions. At present, seasonal shrinkage and stagnation of the lower Laoha River, wide-spread farming and afforestation in the valley, and establishing windbreaks downwind of the valley as well as surrounding the dunefield, appear to have significantly modified local flow fields and sand sources, engendering significant degradation of the dunefield.
文摘The Lower Cambrian Longwangmiao Fm gas reservoir in Moxi block of the Anyue Gas field,Sichuan Basin,is the largest single-sandbody integrated carbonate gas reservoir proved so far in China.Notwithstanding this reservoir's advantages like large-scale reserves and high singlewell productivity,there are multiple complicated factors restricting its efficient development,such as a median content of hydrogen sulfide,low porosity and strong heterogeneity of fractureecave formation,various modes of gasewater occurrences,and close relation between overpressure and stress sensitivity.Up till now,since only a few Cambrian large-scale carbonate gas reservoirs have ever been developed in the world,there still exists some blind spots especially about its exploration and production rules.Besides,as for large-scale sulfur gas reservoirs,the exploration and construction is costly,and production test in the early evaluation stage is severely limited,all of which will bring about great challenges in productivity construction and high potential risks.In this regard,combining with Chinese strategic demand of strengthening clean energy supply security,the PetroChina Southwest Oil&Gas Field Company has carried out researches and field tests for the purpose of providing highproduction wells,optimizing development design,rapidly constructing high-quality productivity and upgrading HSE security in the Longwangmiao Fm gas reservoir in Moxi block.Through the innovations of technology and management mode within 3 years,this gas reservoir has been built into a modern large-scale gas field with high quality,high efficiency and high benefit,and its annual capacity is now up to over 100×10^(8)m^(3),with a desirable production capacity and development indexes gained as originally anticipated.It has become a new model of large-scale gas reservoirs with efficient development,providing a reference for other types of gas reservoirs in China.

文摘Zebrafish is a powerful model for the investigation of hematopoiesis.In order to isolate novel mutants with hematopoietic defects, large-scale mutagenesis screening of zebrafish was performed.By scoring specific hematopoietic markers,52 mutants were identified and then classified into four types based on specific phenotypic traits.Each mutant represented a putative mutation of a gene regulating the relevant aspect of hematopoiesis,including early macrophage development,early granulopoiesis,embryonic myelopoiesis,and definitive erythropoiesis/lymphopoiesis.Our method should be applicable for other types of genetic screening in zebrafish.In addition,further study of the mutants we identified may help to unveil the molecular basis of hematopoiesis.

文摘This paper discusses the digital application and benefit analysis of building information model(BIM)technology in the large-scale comprehensive development project of the Guangxi headquarters base.The project covers a total area of 92,100 square meters,with a total construction area of 379,700 square meters,including a variety of architectural forms.Through three-dimensional modeling and simulation analysis,BIM technology significantly enhances the design quality and efficiency,shortens the design cycle by about 20%,and promotes the collaboration and integration of project management,improving the management efficiency by about 25%.During the construction phase,the collision detection and four-dimensional visual management functions of BIM technology have improved construction efficiency by about 15%and saved the cost by about 10%.In addition,BIM technology has promoted green building and sustainable development,achieved the dual improvement of technical and economic indicators and social and economic benefits,set an example for enterprises in digital transformation,and opened up new market businesses.

文摘The planning and implementation of large-scale urban development projects(UDPs)tend to arouse expectations of increasing investments to urban and social improvements.However,these urban interventions have been less democratic and more elite-driven priorities,resulting in socio-spatial segregation in the city.In the case of the Rio de Janeiro/RJ,the urban interventions planned for the years following the 2016 Olympic Games have not yet occurred in the totality.In this sense,it is necessary to understand the impacts of this mega-event’s intervention when the legacy does not attend the expectations of improvements in the city.Thus,the analyses took into account official documents and the perception of residents close to the areas that received interventions for the Olympic Games,regarding the changes that occurred in these places.It is evident the importance of discussing the subject to later outline guidelines or strategies that aim to minimise significant impacts generated by this insertion in the urban environment.
文摘Water scarcity in arid regions poses significant challenges to sustainable development and human well-being. This article explores both existing and innovative technologies and methods to produce large amounts of water to address these challenges effectively. Key approaches include atmospheric water generation, advanced desalination techniques, innovative water collection methods such as fog nets and dew harvesting, geothermal water extraction, and water recycling and reuse. Each method is evaluated for its feasibility with existing technology, potential time of implementation, required investments, and specific challenges. By leveraging these technologies and combining them into a multifaceted water management strategy, it is possible to enhance water security, support agricultural and industrial activities, and improve living conditions in arid regions. Collaborative efforts between governments, private sector entities, and research institutions are crucial to advancing these technologies and ensuring their sustainable implementation. The article provides a comprehensive overview of the current state of these technologies, their potential for large-scale application, and recommendations for future research and development.
