It takes certain skills to make moderate spoilers and sufficient gimmicks in this short period of time, while at the same time to hoist the audience appetite. Films are a result of cutting, so are trailers. But it is obviously insufficient for us to analyze their relationship only from the angle of editing techniques and art. This study is based on the perspective of large data, in which the clips of the trailers are abstracted in visual scenes by comparing the lenses of different tracks in editing software. In this way, we can get the time code of the lenses of the feature. Furthermore, when putting back the time code of the trailers into the movies again, we can have a vivid diagram of the trailers and film by using these time code and directly reveal the relationship between the trailers and the features.展开更多

However, we want to cluster ...Recently a new clustering algorithm called 'affinity propagation' (AP) has been proposed, which efficiently clustered sparsely related data by passing messages between data points. However, we want to cluster large scale data where the similarities are not sparse in many cases. This paper presents two variants of AP for grouping large scale data with a dense similarity matrix. The local approach is partition affinity propagation (PAP) and the global method is landmark affinity propagation (LAP). PAP passes messages in the subsets of data first and then merges them as the number of initial step of iterations; it can effectively reduce the number of iterations of clustering. LAP passes messages between the landmark data points first and then clusters non-landmark data points; it is a large global approximation method to speed up clustering. Experiments are conducted on many datasets, such as random data points, manifold subspaces, images of faces and Chinese calligraphy, and the results demonstrate that the two ap-proaches are feasible and practicable.展开更多

For three-dimensional lar...With volume size increasing, it is necessary to develop a highly efficient compression algorithm, which is suitable for progressive refinement between the data server and the browsing client. For three-dimensional large volume data, an efficient hierarchical algorithm based on wavelet compression was presented, using intra-band dependencies of wavelet coefficients. Firstly, after applying blockwise hierarchical wavelet decomposition to large volume data, the block significance map was obtained by using one bit to indicate significance or insignificance of the block. Secondly, the coefficient block was further subdivided into eight sub-blocks if any significant coefficient existed in it, and the process was repeated, resulting in an incomplete octree. One bit was used to indicate significance or insignificance, and only significant coefficients were stored in the data stream. Finally, the significant coefficients were quantified and compressed by arithmetic coding. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm achieves good compression ratios and is suited for random access of data blocks. The results also show that the proposed algorithm can be applied to progressive transmission of 3D volume data.展开更多

The results showed a trend in which a significant decrease was seen in sympathetic nervous activity in both males and females—the higher the temperature. In addition, a significant increase was seen in the sympathetic nervous system in both males and females—the higher the atmospheric pressure. Lastly, a significant decrease was seen in the sympathetic nervous system in both males and females—the more precipitation there was. These results accord with prior research and with human biological phenomena, and we were able to use a data set of approximately 200,000 entries to statistically demonstrate our hypothesis. We believe this represents a valuable set of reference data for use in the health care.展开更多

Da...This research uses a large amount of autonomic nervous system data (approximately 100,000 entries) to investigate the relationship between human autonomic nervous activity and behaviors, daily and regional changes. Data were measured via a heart rate variability analysis system that utilizes the camera of smartphones. This system was developed by the authors during previous research. The relations between autonomic nervous system and behaviors, total power and sympathetic nervous activity were found to rise after waking, while during leisure time, the total power rises and sympathetic nervous activity is inhibited. Concerning the relationship between autonomic nervous system and day of the week, it was found that total power decreases from the middle through the latter part of the week (namely, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday), while it rises on Saturday, while the sympathetic nervous activity is suppressed on Saturday. Regarding the relationship between autonomic nervous system and region, it was found that total power is lower in the Kanto region of Japan than in others. This study also shows statistical proof (using a large amount of measurement data) to ideas held by the public for years. Thus, the data can be considered meaningful to the society, and the authors hope that it helps to improve work-life balance.展开更多

An efficient method for modeling massive data sets using the high accuracy surface modeling method(HASM) is proposed, and HASM_Big is developed to handle very large data sets. A large data set is defined here as a large spatial domain with high resolution leading to a linear equation with matrix dimensions of hundreds of thousands. An augmented system approach is employed to solve the equality-constrained least squares problem(LSE) produced in HASM_Big, and a block row action method is applied to solve the corresponding very large matrix equations.A matrix partitioning method is used to avoid information redundancy among each block and thereby accelerate the model.Experiments including numerical tests and real-world applications are used to compare the performances of HASM_Big with its previous version, HASM. Results show that the memory storage and computing speed of HASM_Big are better than those of HASM. It is found that the computational cost of HASM_Big is linearly scalable, even with massive data sets. In conclusion,HASM_Big provides a powerful tool for surface modeling, especially when there are millions or more computing grid cells.展开更多

This work focuses on radial basis functions containing no parameters with themain objective being to comparatively explore more of their effectiveness.For this,a total of sixteen forms of shapeless radial basis functi...This work focuses on radial basis functions containing no parameters with themain objective being to comparatively explore more of their effectiveness.For this,a total of sixteen forms of shapeless radial basis functions are gathered and investigated under the context of the pattern recognition problem through the structure of radial basis function neural networks,with the use of the Representational Capability(RC)algorithm.Different sizes of datasets are disturbed with noise before being imported into the algorithm as‘training/testing’datasets.Each shapeless radial basis function is monitored carefully with effectiveness criteria including accuracy,condition number(of the interpolation matrix),CPU time,CPU-storage requirement,underfitting and overfitting aspects,and the number of centres being generated.For the sake of comparison,the well-known Multiquadric-radial basis function is included as a representative of shape-contained radial basis functions.The numerical results have revealed that some forms of shapeless radial basis functions show good potential and are even better than Multiquadric itself indicating strongly that the future use of radial basis function may no longer face the pain of choosing a proper shape when shapeless forms may be equally(or even better)effective.展开更多

Regarding the relationship between autonomic nervous system and region, it was found that total power is lower in the Kanto region of Japan than in others. This study also shows statistical proof (using a large amount of measurement data) to ideas held by the public for years. Thus, the data can be considered meaningful to the society, and the authors hope that it helps to improve work-life balance.

文摘We investigate the vacuum in nonisentropic gas dynamics in one space vari- able, with the most general equation of states allowed by thermodynamics. We recall physical constraints on the equations of state and give explicit and easily checkable conditions under which vacuums occur in the solution of the Riemann problem. We then present a class of models for which the Riemann problem admits unique global solutions without vacuums.

文摘This paper is concerned with the large-time behavior of solutions to the Cauchy problem of a one-dimensional viscous radiative and reactive gas.Based on the elaborate energy estimates,we develop a new approach to derive the upper bound of the absolute temperature by avoiding the use of auxiliary functions Z(t)and W(t)introduced by Liao and Zhao[J.Differential Equations,2018,265(5):2076-2120].Our results also improve upon the results obtained in Liao and Zhao[J.Differential Equations,2018,265(5):2076-2120].

文摘Surface modeling with very large data sets is challenging. An efficient method for modeling massive data sets using the high accuracy surface modeling method(HASM) is proposed, and HASM_Big is developed to handle very large data sets. A large data set is defined here as a large spatial domain with high resolution leading to a linear equation with matrix dimensions of hundreds of thousands. An augmented system approach is employed to solve the equality-constrained least squares problem(LSE) produced in HASM_Big, and a block row action method is applied to solve the corresponding very large matrix equations.A matrix partitioning method is used to avoid information redundancy among each block and thereby accelerate the model.Experiments including numerical tests and real-world applications are used to compare the performances of HASM_Big with its previous version, HASM. Results show that the memory storage and computing speed of HASM_Big are better than those of HASM. It is found that the computational cost of HASM_Big is linearly scalable, even with massive data sets. In conclusion,HASM_Big provides a powerful tool for surface modeling, especially when there are millions or more computing grid cells.

文摘This work focuses on radial basis functions containing no parameters with themain objective being to comparatively explore more of their effectiveness.For this,a total of sixteen forms of shapeless radial basis functions are gathered and investigated under the context of the pattern recognition problem through the structure of radial basis function neural networks,with the use of the Representational Capability(RC)algorithm.Different sizes of datasets are disturbed with noise before being imported into the algorithm as‘training/testing’datasets.Each shapeless radial basis function is monitored carefully with effectiveness criteria including accuracy,condition number(of the interpolation matrix),CPU time,CPU-storage requirement,underfitting and overfitting aspects,and the number of centres being generated.For the sake of comparison,the well-known Multiquadric-radial basis function is included as a representative of shape-contained radial basis functions.The numerical results have revealed that some forms of shapeless radial basis functions show good potential and are even better than Multiquadric itself indicating strongly that the future use of radial basis function may no longer face the pain of choosing a proper shape when shapeless forms may be equally(or even better)effective.

文摘An integration processing system of three-dimensional laser scanning information visualization in goaf was developed. It is provided with multiple functions, such as laser scanning information management for goaf, cloud data de-noising optimization, construction, display and operation of three-dimensional model, model editing, profile generation, calculation of goaf volume and roof area, Boolean calculation among models and interaction with the third party soft ware. Concerning this system with a concise interface, plentiful data input/output interfaces, it is featured with high integration, simple and convenient operations of applications. According to practice, in addition to being well-adapted, this system is favorably reliable and stable.
