Developed here is an integrated framework for identifying production–living–ecological space(PLES)quantitatively at grid scale from the perspective of multifunction land use,and 25 compound space types are classified to highlight the multiple functions of PLES.As a typical mountainous city in northern Hebei province,Zhangjiakou is used as a case study,and the results show that more than 80%of the land space in Zhangjiakou has remarkable triple functionality.The living-dominated space and the production-dominated space are distributed mainly in the valleys of the Yanghe,Sanggan,and Huliu rivers and have obvious spatial consistency,while the ecological-dominated space is concentrated mostly at the eastern Yanshan Mountains and southern Taihang Mountains and complements the other two types of space.The former two are spatially fragmented,while the latter has been expanding to the periphery over time.From 1990 to 2015,the ecological-dominated space has increased the most by 1555.02 km^(2),while the living-dominated space has increased the least by 816.79 km^(2).The types of PLES are more diverse in the medium and low mountains and the areas with gentle slope,and the influencing factors include natural ecological environment,socioeconomic development,human consumption demand,and institutional policies.Therefore,these findings can mitigate conflicts among PLES in mountainous and similar areas,and promote the balanced development of land space. 展开更多

Grain production space reconstruction referred to the changes in the quantity,quality and pattern of grain produc-tion space caused by functional tradeoffs and conflicts between grain production space,urban-rural development space,and ecological service space.Exploring tradeoffs between land system functions caused by grain produc-tion space reconstruction was particularly important for ensuring food security,promoting the construction of ecological civilization,and achieving sustainable development.Therefore,this study identified four relationships of land system functions during the process of grain production space reconstruction(1980-2018)in China by using Set Pair Analysis.Research results showed that the reconstruction of grain production space was achieved mainly through three pathways:Grain for Green,deforestation and reclamation,and urban expansion.Generally,ecological service had spatial negative correlation with grain production,economic development and population carrying capacity(P<0.01),but grain production,economic development and population carrying capacity were positively correlated with each other(P<0.01).In the process of grain production space reconstruction,eco-logical services and economic development,ecological services and population carrying capacity had all shown inverse synergies;there was a tradeoffbetween grain production and ecological services,a codirectional tradeoffbetween grain production and economic development,but a strong synergy between economic development and population carrying capacity.However,the functions of land systems only appeared as synergies or tradeoffs,and there were no inverse synergies and codirectional tradeoffs in the separate processes of Grain for Green,deforestation and reclamation,and urban expansion.It can be concluded that the relationships between land system functions were relatively simple in a single process,but it became complex and diverse when multiple processes were integrated for system analysis. 展开更多

Identification of the spatial mismatch between land use functions(LUFs)and land use efficiencies(LUEs)is essential to regional land use policies.However,previous studies about LUF-LUE mismatch and its driving factors have been insufficient.In this study,we explored the spatiotemporal mismatch of LUFs and LUEs and their influencing factors from 2000 to 2018 in the Middle Reaches of the Yangtze River(MRYR).Specifically,we used Spearman correlation analysis to reveal the trade-off relationship between LUFs and LUEs and determine the direction of the influencing factors on the LUF-LUE mismatch,adopted spatial mismatch analysis to measure the imbalance between LUFs and LUEs,and used the geographical detector model to analyze the factors influencing this spatial mismatch.The results showed that production function(PDF),living function(LVF),ecological function(ELF),agricultural production efficiency(APE),urban construction efficiency(UCE),and ecological services efficiency(ESE)all displayed significant spatial heterogeneity.The high trade-off areas were widely distributed and long-lasting in agricultural space and urban space,while gradually decreasing in ecological space.Wuhan and Changsha showed high spatial mismatch coefficients in urban space,but low spatial mismatch coefficients in agricultural space.Hunan generally presented high spatial mismatch coefficients in ecological space.Furthermore,the interaction of the proportion of cultivated area and transportation accessibility exacerbated the mismatch in agricultural space.The interaction effects of capital investment and technology innovation with other factors have the most intense impact on the mismatch in urban space.The internal factor for cultivated area interacts with other external factors to drastically affect ecological spatial mismatch. 展开更多

They represent specific functional adaptations to various environmental stresses. This study deals with the variation in plant functional traits along elevation gradient and land-use types in Sagarmatha National Park and Buffer Zone, Nepal. Two field investigations in April and September, 2011 were made to collect samples. Sampling was done from 2200 - 3800 m asl varying approx. 400 m. East and west facing aspects of each valley were chosen. In each aspect four land-use type categories including disturbed (cultivated land, exploited forest and meadow) and less disturbed natural forest were selected. A transect of 25 m long and 2.5 m wide was laid. Different eight traits of plants including lifeform, plant height, clonality, spinescence, leaf dry matter content, stem specific density, twig dry matter content and twig drying time were examined for 60 plant species belonging to 31 families, collected from 40 sampled plots. Nine different types of growth forms were recorded. Plant height of the investigated species ranged from 0.03 - 15 m. The stolon consisting species were dominant in exploited forests. Diversity of clonal species was more in meadow and non-clonal species were dominant in all the altitudes. Only eight species consisted of spines. In the disturbed land-use categories, we found high variation in a particular trait. Correlation analyses revealed the significant relationship (p < 0.01) among different traits. Herbs and shrubs were dominant at higher elevation and in disturbed land-use categories. Species from high altitude were mostly short basal herbs, while spinescence and tall trees were observed at lower altitudes. Species recorded in meadows and exploited forests showed high variation in traits due to disturbance mainly grazing, fire, litter collection and trampling. Altitudinal variation, climatic conditions and disturbance most strongly influence trait expression in the study area. 展开更多

In recent decades, the control of floods is an efficient management practice for the rehabilitation of rangelands in most arid and semiarid areas. To evaluate the benefits, we used the Landscape Function Analysis (LFA) method to assess the function of patches and qualitative capability of a rangeland ecosystem in Gareh By- gone region, Fars province, southwestern Iran. Landscape functionality depends on soil, water and nutrient (col- lectively called "resources") conservation and use within a given ecosystem. Many landscapes are naturally het- erogeneous in terms of resource control and possess patches, where resources tend to accumulate, and in- ter-patches. Assessing rangeland health and function of landscape patches in response to environment and man- agement can give rise to correct management decisions for qualitative improvement of the ecosystem. Therefore, our study area was divided into two parts, i.e. water spreading and control parts, and sampling was done using LFA method in each part separately. Structural parameters, including the number, length and width of patches, and the mean length of inter-patches, were determined by the method to characterize the functional status of the monitoring sites. For each patch/inter-patch type identified in the transect organization log, we recorded its soil surface proper- ties classified according to the Soil Surface Assessment Method. The density, canopy cover and composition of plants were then assessed. The results showed that the number of ecological patches and their dimensions were significantly increased in the water spreading site. Soil stability and the values of nutrient cycling indices were in- creased but the infiltration values were decreased in the water spreading site. It could be related to the effect of suspended materials transported by floods to the soils in the study area. The improvement of ecological patches and rangeland ecosystem was achieved where water spreading systems were practiced. Therefore it can be con- cluded that water spreading as a management plan plays an important role in arid land ecosystem functionality. 展开更多

Changes in Transformation of Soil Organic C and Functional Diversity of Soil Microbial Community Under Different Land Uses 被引量:22

Changes in soil biological and biochemical properties under different land uses in the subtropical region of China were investigated in order to develop rational cultivation and fertilization management. A small watershed of subtropical region of China was selected for this study. Land uses covered paddy fields, vegetable farming, fruit trees, upland crops, bamboo stands, and forestry. Soil biological and biochemical properties included soil organic C and nutrient contents, mineralization of soil organic C, and soil microbial biomass and community functional diversity. Soil organic C and total N contents, microbial biomass C and N, and respiration intensity under different land uses were changed in the following order: paddy fields (and vegetable farming) 〉 bamboo stands 〉 fruit trccs (and upland). The top surface (0-15 cm) paddy fields (and vegetable farming) were 76.4 and 80.8% higher in soil organic C and total N contents than fruit trees (and upland) soils, respectively. Subsurface paddy soils (15-30 cm) were 59.8 and 67.3% higher in organic C and total N than upland soils, respectively. Soil microbial C, N and respiration intensity in paddy soils (0-15 cm) were 6.36, 3.63 and 3.20 times those in fruit tree (and upland) soils respectively. Soil microbial metabolic quotient was in the order: fruit trees (and upland) 〉 forestry 〉 paddy fields. Metabolic quotient in paddy soils was only 47.7% of that in fruit tree (and upland) soils. Rates of soil organic C mineralization during incubation changed in the order: paddy fields 〉 bamboo stands 〉 fruit trees (and upland) and soil bacteria population: paddy fields 〉 fruit trees (and upland) 〉 forestry. No significant difference was found for fungi and actinomycetes populations. BIOLOG analysis indicated a changing order of paddy fields 〉 fruit trees (and upland) 〉 forestry in values of the average well cell development (AWCD) and functional diversity indexes of microbial community. Results also showed that the conversion from paddy fields to vegetable farming for 5 years resulted in a dramatic increase in soil available phosphorus content while insignificant changes in soil organic C and total N content due to a large inputs of phosphate fertilizers. This conversion caused 53, 41.5, and 41.3% decreases in soil microbial biomass C, N, and respiration intensity, respectively, while 23.6% increase in metabolic quotient and a decrease in soil organic C mineralization rate. Moreover, soil bacteria and actinomycetes populations were increased slightly, while fungi population increased dramatically. Functional diversity indexes of soil microbial community decreased significantly. It was concluded that land uses in the subtropical region of China strongly affected soil biological and biochemical properties. Soil organic C and nutrient contents, mineralization of organic C and functional diversity of microbial community in paddy fields were higher than those in upland and forestry. Overuse of chemical fertilizers in paddy fields with high fertility might degrade soil biological properties and biochemical function, resulting in deterioration of soil biological quality. 展开更多

Based on the surveys conducted at these parking facilities, various parking behavior were analyzed, based on which the scope of the different parking was determined. The information on location, land use characteristics, public transport, the surrounding parking situations are collected for each investigated parking facility. Applying the SPSS clustering method, the threshold was developed for the classification. Spatial-temporal change in urban agricultural land use efficiency from the perspective of agricultural multi-functionality: A case study of the Xi'an metropolitan zone 被引量:12

The excessive expansion of urbanized areas has resulted in haphazard land utili- zation, immoderate consumption of superior agricultural land and water resources, significant fragmentation of agricultural landscape, and gradual deterioration of the agro-ecological en- vironment. Combined, these factors cause poor land use efficiency. Under these circum- stances, comprehensively assessing land use efficiency for urban agriculture is a key issue in land use research. Currently, evaluation methods for agricultural land use efficiency narrowly concentrate on aspects of economic input and output. However, urban agro-ecosystems can provide diverse economic, social, and ecological services and functions. In particular, the social and ecological services and functions originating from agricultural land, which have a higher value than economic services, play a significant role in ensuring regional social, eco- logical, and environmental security. However, recent research has rarely taken these benefits into consideration. Therefore, land use value has been greatly underestimated, which has resulted in mishandled and poor land use policies. In this study, we apply Landsat imagery and social and economic statistical data for the Xi'an metropolitan zone (XMZ) to investigate agricultural multi-functionality. We develop an evaluation framework for urban agricultural land use efficiency and identify agro-ecosystem services and functions as important outputs from agricultural land. The land use efficiency of urban agriculture is then evaluated using ecosystem services models, providing a mechanism for assessing spatial-temporal changes in land use efficiency in the XMZ from 1999 to 2015. Four important conclusions are reached from this analysis. First, the rapid urbanization and agricultural transformation from traditional cereal cultivation to modern urban agriculture has resulted in steadily increasing costs, out- puts, and land use efficiency of urban agriculture. The total output value increased 41% and land use efficiency per hectare increased by 33.13% on average. Second, the spatial patterns of comprehensive output and land use efficiency were dominated by economic outputs from agricultural land. Areas near cities, which are dominated by orchard and arable land, provide more economic functions. These areas support and regulate services due to the transforma- tion from extensive cereal production to intensive modern urban agriculture; therefore, they have higher output value and land use efficiency. In contrast, areas distant from cities, towns, and high traffic roads, namely, remote rural areas, provide more support and regulating ser- vices, but have relatively lower economic function due to inaccessibility tO urban markets and slow agricultural transformation. Therefore, these areas have lower output value and land use efficiency. The spatial change in agricultural output and land use efficiency in urban areas is strongly dependent on the degree of urbanization and agricultural transformation. Third, the total output value and land use efficiency of urban agriculture measured with our approach are much higher than evaluations using traditional methods. However, the spatial patterns measured using the two approaches are in agreement. The evaluation framework integrates ecological services and economic and social functions into a comprehensive output from agricultural land. This approach is more methodical and accurate for evaluating the compre- hensive efficiency of land use based on quantities and spatial scale because they are at the pixel scale. Finally, the evaluation results have important implications for enhancing current agricultural subsidies and even implementing ecological payment policies in China. Most importantly, they can be directly applied to agricultural transformation regulations, decision-making, and guidance for rational land utilization. 展开更多

天山北坡耕地利用转型时空演变及其驱动因素研究——基于OPGD模型

为优化耕地利用格局,摸清耕地利用的发展态势,为天山北坡地区耕地保护提供依据。从空间与功能形态转型两个视角,运用熵值法、空间自相关与OPGD模型等方法,借助ArcGIS空间表达技术,揭示耕地利用转型的时空演变格局及其驱动因素。结果表明... 为优化耕地利用格局,摸清耕地利用的发展态势,为天山北坡地区耕地保护提供依据。从空间与功能形态转型两个视角,运用熵值法、空间自相关与OPGD模型等方法,借助ArcGIS空间表达技术,揭示耕地利用转型的时空演变格局及其驱动因素。结果表明:①从时空变化看,2000—2020年空间形态转型水平逐渐提高、功能形态转型呈平缓波动趋势,高值区由中部核心城市逐步向边缘城市扩散,综合转型指数呈上涨趋势,耕地利用转型格局形成以中部盆地平原、西部伊犁河谷平原为主的高值区与东部山地低值区并存的空间格局;②从空间集聚特征看,空间形态转型呈先减少后增加最后减少的趋势,于2010年达到峰值,聚集区域由双核逐步向多核发展,功能形态转型呈先升高后再降低最后趋于平缓的态势,聚集区总体位于中部地区;③从驱动因素看,城镇化率、地均固定资产投资与人口密度对耕地利用转型的影响更为突出。综上,天山北坡耕地利用转型结果正逐步向好,但仍存在区域间差异,应利用人口与社会经济因素对转型的驱动作用,促进耕地资源的可持续利用,实现耕地利用优化转型。 展开更多

The effects of land consolidation on the ecological connectivity based on ecosystem service value: A case study of Da'an land consolidation project in Jilin province 被引量:27

Land consolidation has a profound impact on landscape patterns and ecological functions at various scales through engineering and biological measures. In recent years, China invests more than 100 billion RMB yuan on land consolidation each year. To under- stand how land consolidation affects landscape patterns and ecosystems, we investigated the ecosystem service value and the ecological connectivity in a consolidated area of Da'an city from 2008 to 2014 using a revised ecological connectivity index. The results indicated that land consolidation has certain negative influences on the ecosystem services in this area. The total ecosystem service value will decrease by nearly 30% in the late stage of consolida- tion. This decrease is caused by the loss of ecosystem service of the wetland and grassland, despite a sensible increase of cultivated land. In addition, land consolidation could change the ecological connectivity as well as the land use structure. Up to 85% of the entire area will be in low connectivity in the late stage of consolidation, representing a 6.23% increase in the total coverage compared to pre-consolidation. Finally, the different connectivity landscape and their key areas can be identified by the revised ecological connectivity index effectively. This study is helpful to trace out the relationships between landscape pattern and ecological process, and provides insights for ecological planning and designing of land consolidation in this area. We suggest that more attentions should be paid to improve the quality and eco- system service value per unit area of the landscape, to establish ecological compensation mechanism of wetland losses, and to create the ecological corridors along the least accu- mulated impendence surface in the key areas during land consolidation. 展开更多

洮河流域土地利用变化对区域生态系统服务的演变具有重要意义,研究不同情景下该区域土地利用变化对生态系统服务的影响,可为流域实现可持续化发展提供借鉴。本研究利用CA-Markov模型模拟2030年该流域在自然发展、耕地保护、生态保护3种... 洮河流域土地利用变化对区域生态系统服务的演变具有重要意义,研究不同情景下该区域土地利用变化对生态系统服务的影响,可为流域实现可持续化发展提供借鉴。本研究利用CA-Markov模型模拟2030年该流域在自然发展、耕地保护、生态保护3种不同情景下的土地利用分布格局,结合InVEST模型计算不同情景下的生境质量、产水量、土壤保持量以及碳储量服务,在此基础上利用层次分析法来构建综合生态系统服务指数(CES),从空间上反映多种生态系统服务的供给总量以及不同情景下土地利用对生态系统服务的影响。结果表明:在自然发展情景下洮河流域南部以及东北部建设用地尤其是农村居民点的扩张会引发产水量、土壤保持量、生境质量和碳储量的下降,分别下降了0.43%、0.28%、3.23%和0.84%。在耕地保护情景下流域中部和南部耕地向草地的扩张会导致生境质量和土壤保持量的下降,分别下降了6.45%和1.12%。在生态保护情景下除产水量下降了0.45%以外,其余生态系统服务均呈现上升趋势。在耕地保护情景下CES下降区域面积最多,占比达到了77.18%,主要分布在流域中部林地、草地被耕地侵占区域。未来需要进一步平衡耕地数量,避免过度扩张。在自然发展情景中CES变化较小区域占区域总面积的91.70%,表明洮河流域生态系统具有良好的调节能力,应避免过度的人为干预。在生态保护的情景下,CES上升区域的面积占比最高,达到了86.64%。未来应积极推行生态修复工作并优化土地利用策略,这将有助于促进流域生态系统的健康发展。 展开更多

针对重点生态功能区开展监测与评价对于生态保护和环境治理的意义重大。以广东省第一批被纳入生态补偿区域的11个国家重点生态功能区为研究区,采用2011年至2015年的5期Landsat卫星遥感影像,通过目视解译的方法提取研究区的土地利用/覆... 针对重点生态功能区开展监测与评价对于生态保护和环境治理的意义重大。以广东省第一批被纳入生态补偿区域的11个国家重点生态功能区为研究区,采用2011年至2015年的5期Landsat卫星遥感影像,通过目视解译的方法提取研究区的土地利用/覆盖类型,并结合野外核查及统计资料,分析了该11个县域的生态功能状况现状及其变化。结果表明:(1)2015年全部11个县域的生态功能状况均为优或良级别,但相互之间具有一定的区域差异性。生态功能状况指数(FEI)最高的是乳源瑶族自治县,为71.11,最低的是南雄市,为61.20。(2)2015年与2011年相比,广东省11个国家重点生态功能区的功能状况指数变化幅度(ΔFEI)为–0.50—2.50。仁化县、乳源瑶族自治县、南雄市、平远县、蕉岭县、龙川县和连平县等7个县域的生态功能状况无明显变化(|ΔFEI|<1);始兴县、兴宁县及和平县等3个县域的生态功能状况略微变化(1≤|ΔFEI|<2),其中,始兴县和兴宁县2015年的生态功能状况略微优于2011年(1≤ΔFEI<2),而和平县2015年的生态功能状况略微变差(–1≥ΔFEI>–2);另外,乐昌市2015年的生态功能状况明显变好(2≤ΔFEI<4)。(3)2011年至2015年期间,全部县域的生态功能状况保持稳定,其变化趋势均不显著(|Rs|≤0.9)。 展开更多

Pedo-Transfer Functions to Estimate Kinetic Parameters for Anaerobic Soil Nitrogen Mineralization 被引量:3

Knowledge of potential anaerobic soil N mineralization is important for nitrogen fertilizer application. Instead of time-consuming laboratory incubation, we attempt to use pedo-transfer functions (PTFs) approach to get this information. 27 soil samples with various soil depths were collected from paddy field, woodland and tea field in subtropical central China, anaerobically incubated at 35°C for 7 weeks to determine N mineralization, which was fitted by a modified double exponential model with two parameters (the fraction of active N pool (f) and mineralization rate constant (k) for active N pool). The PTFs for parameters were developed from significant soil properties using multiple stepwise regression method. Parameter f (range: 1.59% - 10.4%, mean: 5.2%) was mainly correlated with soil total N (TN), organic C (SOC), sand and silt particle contents (r = -0.59 - 0.69, p k (range: 0.027 - 0.155 d-1, mean: 0.97 d-1) was significantly related to TN, SOC, clay content, C to N ratio and pH (r = -0.6 - 0.71, p f (R2 = 0.72, p TN and pH) for parameter k (R2 = 0.61, p < 0.01). The developed PTFs, integrating various land uses and soil depths, suggest that basic soil properties are helpful for estimation of anaerobic soil N mineralization. 展开更多
