We present Depth-Informed Crop Segmentation(DepthCropSeg),an almost unsupervised crop segmentation approach without manual pixel-level annotations.Crop segmentation is a fundamental vision task in agriculture,which benefits a number of downstream applications such as crop growth monitoring and yield estimation.Over the past decade,image-based crop segmentation approaches have shifted from classic color-based paradigms to recent deep learning-based ones.The latter,however,rely heavily on large amounts of data with high-quality manual annotation such that considerable human labor and time are spent.In this work,we leverage Depth Anything V2,a vision foundation model,to produce high-quality pseudo crop masks for training segmentation models.We compile a dataset of 17,199 images from six public plant segmentation sources,generating pseudo masks from depth maps after normalization and thresholding.After a coarse-to-fine manual screening,1378 images with reliable masks are selected.We compare four semantic segmentation models and enhance the top-performing one with depth-informed two-stage self-training and depth-informed post-processing.To evaluate the feasibility and robustness of DepthCropSeg,we benchmark the segmentation performance on 10 public crop segmentation testing sets and a self-collect dataset covering in-field,laboratory,and unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)scenarios.Experimental results show that our DepthCropSeg approach can achieve crop segmentation performance comparable to the fully supervised model trained with manually annotated data(86.91 vs.87.10).For the first time,we demonstrate almost unsupervised,close-to-full-supervision crop segmentation successfully. 展开更多

Technetium-99m(^(99m)Tc)is the most used(>80%)radionuclide in the clinical nuclear diagnostic imaging procedure.The traditional approach to preparing ^(99m)Tc-based imaging agents utilizes stannous chloride(SnCl_(2))for the reduction of noncomplexing pertechnetate(^(99m)TcO_(4)^(−))to low-valent Tc[e.g.,Tc(IV)].This process,however,is difficult to control precisely and usually results in toxic SnCl_(2) residue and remaining 99mTc(VII),both of which are destructive to humans.Herein,we report a new strategy for preparing^(99m)TcO_(4)^(−)-labeled agents without adding any reductants.The deliberately designed nanoscale cationic polymeric network(SCU-CPN-3)shows excellent affinity for^(99m)TcO_(4)^(−)even at trace levels originating from the strong p-πinteraction with^(99m)TcO_(4)^(−).Impressively,record-fast labeling kinetics are observed,where almost quantitative labeling efficacy(>96%)can be achieved within 1 min,giving rise to a short labeling time and simple operation using a clinical kit.Both single-photon emission computed tomography(SPECT)images and ex vivo biodistribution of different tumor model analyses verify the potential feasibility of this strategy for tumor imaging. 展开更多

Precise diagnosis of lymph node metastasis is important for therapeutic regimen planning,prognosis analysis and probably better outcomes for cancer patients.In this work,^(68)Ga-labeled amphiphilic alternating copolymers nanoparticles with different rigid ligands were synthesized as positron emission tomography(PET)probes for lymph node metastasis imaging.The labeling efficiency and stability of nanoparticles was improved with increased rigidity of coordination unit.PU(^(68)Ga-L-MDI-PEG)nanoparticles(PU(^(68)Ga-L-MDI-PEG)NPs)with the strongest rigidity of coordination unit exhibited the lowest critical micelle concentration,the best^(68)Ga labeling efficiency and stability.During in vivo lymph node metastasis imaging,PU(^(68)Ga-L-MDI-PEG)NPs led to different accumulations in normal lymph nodes(N-LN)and tumor metastasized sentinel lymph nodes(T-SLN),which resulted in different PET signal presentation,making it feasible to differentiate N-LN from T-SLN.In comparison,small molecule probe^(68)GaL had poor lymph node accumulation,not only making it difficult to find lymph nodes on PET/computed tomography scan,but also tough to distinguish N-LN from metastatic ones.Overall,this work provides a reference for design of^(68)Ga labeled polymeric nanoparticles with high chelation efficiency and stability,as sensitive PET probes for lymph node imaging. 展开更多

The use of eco-labels has become increasingly popular in China.This study aims to understand whether Chinese consumers are willing to pay for eco-labels and how their willingness to pay(WTP)is determined.Although we find that Chinese consumers are willing to pay more for products that are labeled as having greater energy efficiency(Energy Efficiency Label)or as having been produced using more environmentally-friendly production processes(Environmental Label),some practices have significantly impaired the effectiveness of these labels,e.g.the burgeoning use of eco-labels has led to label confusion;public trust towards eco-labels.The policy implications are discussed in this study. 展开更多
