Objective:The study was aimed to assess the knowledge and attitude toward foot care and evaluate the effectiveness of structured teaching program(STP)on the knowledge and attitude of patients with diabetes mellitus re...Objective:The study was aimed to assess the knowledge and attitude toward foot care and evaluate the effectiveness of structured teaching program(STP)on the knowledge and attitude of patients with diabetes mellitus regarding foot care.Materials and Methods:A preexperimental research design was used in this study,which was conducted in medical-surgical wards of a secondary hospital in Northeast India,Nagaland.A total of 30 subjects were recruited by consecutive sampling technique.A closed-ended structured questionnaire and 5-point Likert scale was used to assess knowledge and attitude toward foot care.A STP was administered after which posttest was done after 24 h.Results:The majority(86.6%)of the participants in the pretest had inadequate knowledge and 80%had negative attitudes toward foot care.After STP,70%had moderately adequate knowledge and 53.3%had a positive attitude regarding foot care.The structured teaching program was effective in improving the knowledge and attitude at P<0.01 which is highly significant and there was a significant association between the pretest level knowledge and duration of diabetes at P<0.01.Conclusion:STP was effective in enhancing the level of knowledge and attitude toward foot care among diabetic inpatients.This type of interaction can be organized at regular intervals to reinforce knowledge and attitude toward foot care among inpatients.展开更多

Many experts claim that nurses still have difficulties providing patient education because of a range of factors, which include a lack of expertise and numerous other obstacles. Moreover, there isn’t any published research that studies nurses’ attitudes, knowledge, and patient-teaching practices in primary healthcare in the United Arab Emirates. The research project aims to investigate the knowledge, attitude, and practice of patient teaching among nurses in primary health care centers to better understand how nurse knowledge and attitudes may affect nurse-performed patient education. The target population is nurses working in primary healthcare centers in Sharjah, Ajman, Dubai, Ras Al-Khaimah, Fujairah, and Umm Al Quwain. However, the sample size is 300 using a random cluster sampling technique. The participants were encouraged to take part in the study (KAPPTNQ) through an online survey. Introduction:The therapeutic nurse patient relationship is viewed as central or foundational to the practice of nursing.Such relationship not only improve patients’physical and emotional state but also facilitate the...Introduction:The therapeutic nurse patient relationship is viewed as central or foundational to the practice of nursing.Such relationship not only improve patients’physical and emotional state but also facilitate their adjustments to their illness,ease pain and can ultimately lead to a good health experience.Methodology:The pre experimental one group pre test post test study was undertaken to assess the effectiveness of structured teaching programme on knowledge regarding therapeutic nurse-patient communication among the staff nurses working in SGT Hospital,Haryana.Total 30 study participants were selected by convenient sampling technique and Data were collected by using a structured knowledge questionnaire.Result:The findings of the study revealed that half of the participants 50%had average and poor knowledge regarding therapeutic nurse patient communication in the pre test.Similarly,the post test scores depicted that majority(63%)had average knowledge and 37%had good knowledge regarding therapeutic nurse patient communication.Most of the demographic variable was not significantly associated with level of pre knowledge of staff nurses regarding therapeutic nurse patient communication.Only staff nurses years of experience P=0.021 were found to statistically significant at 0.05 level of significance.There was significant difference between the knowledge of staff nurses before and after the implementation of structured teaching programme(t=11.844,P=0.0001).Conclusion:It was concluded that structured teaching programme was effective strategy which can help to increase their knowledge regarding therapeutic nurse patient communication.展开更多

Objective: to study the effect of nutrition knowledge, attitude and dietary behavior of medical students before and after clinical nutrition teaching, in order to provide favorable basis for nutrition education of med...Objective: to study the effect of nutrition knowledge, attitude and dietary behavior of medical students before and after clinical nutrition teaching, in order to provide favorable basis for nutrition education of medical students. Methods: 300 students were selected for routine clinical teaching in the first half of 2021 and clinical nutrition teaching in the second half of 2021. After that, questionnaires were used to understand the medical students knowledge, attitude towards nutrition and dietary behavior, and to analyze the effect before and after clinical nutrition teaching. Results: after clinical nutrition teaching, the students awareness rate of nutrition knowledge was significantly higher than before nutrition education, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). After receiving the teaching of clinical nutrition, the students pay close attention to their own nutritional status, which is manifested by the learning attitude of eager to learn nutritional knowledge. Among them, 279 (93.0%) students express that nutritional knowledge is very important, 297 (99.0%) students express that they are willing to take the initiative to learn more nutritional knowledge, and 279 (93.0%) students express that regular eating of snacks will affect their health status. 294 cases (98.0%) of students said it was very important to have breakfast in the morning. However, there were still 180 cases (60.0%) of students who preferred to sleep late rather than eat breakfast early. After the teaching of clinical nutrition, the rates of breakfast, body weight, regular and quantitative meals, fresh vegetables, fruits, bean products, dairy products, nuts, seafood, meat and eggs, carbonated drinks, western fast food, sweets, fried foods, preserved fruits, puffed foods, diet and supper were significantly higher than before (p < 0.05). Conclusion: after receiving clinical nutrition teaching, medical students nutrition knowledge, attitude and eating behavior have been significantly improved, and there is a high probability to control their own diet by using good nutrition knowledge and positive eating attitude, so as to improve their health. Methods: Thirty-six trainee nurses working in the cardiovascular internal medicine department of our hospital from September 2022 to September 2023 were selected and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group of 18 trainees each. The control adopted the traditional teaching methods while the observation group adopted the implicit nursing knowledge in their clinical practice work. The assessment scores and teamwork ability of the two groups were analyzed and compared. Results: The performance of the observation group was better than that of the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The teamwork ability of the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group in teamwork ability (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Implicit nursing knowledge teaching is conducive to the cultivation of high-quality nursing talents and meets the development needs of hospitals. Therefore, the importance of implicit nursing knowledge should be strengthened in the teaching of cardiovascular internal medicine nursing and it should be comprehensively organized to improve the quality of nursing services.展开更多

文摘Introduction:The therapeutic nurse patient relationship is viewed as central or foundational to the practice of nursing.Such relationship not only improve patients’physical and emotional state but also facilitate their adjustments to their illness,ease pain and can ultimately lead to a good health experience.Methodology:The pre experimental one group pre test post test study was undertaken to assess the effectiveness of structured teaching programme on knowledge regarding therapeutic nurse-patient communication among the staff nurses working in SGT Hospital,Haryana.Total 30 study participants were selected by convenient sampling technique and Data were collected by using a structured knowledge questionnaire.Result:The findings of the study revealed that half of the participants 50%had average and poor knowledge regarding therapeutic nurse patient communication in the pre test.Similarly,the post test scores depicted that majority(63%)had average knowledge and 37%had good knowledge regarding therapeutic nurse patient communication.Most of the demographic variable was not significantly associated with level of pre knowledge of staff nurses regarding therapeutic nurse patient communication.Only staff nurses years of experience P=0.021 were found to statistically significant at 0.05 level of significance.There was significant difference between the knowledge of staff nurses before and after the implementation of structured teaching programme(t=11.844,P=0.0001).Conclusion:It was concluded that structured teaching programme was effective strategy which can help to increase their knowledge regarding therapeutic nurse patient communication.

文摘Objective:To study the effect of Project-Based Learning(PBL)teaching method in lung cancer nursing teaching and its influence on knowledge awareness rates.Methods:The research subjects were 50 nursing interns who entered the same hospital for internship in 2020.The numerical ranking method was used for blind-selection and grouping,where 25 nursing interns were divided into the control group and the internship group each.Among them,the nursing interns in the control group adopted routine nursing teaching management,and the nursing interns in the training group used PBL teaching method for teaching management.The teaching satisfaction rate,teaching quality and knowledge awareness rate of the two groups were compared.Results:Nursing interns in the practice group were better than the control group in their nursing knowledge awareness rate and teaching satisfaction rate after adopting the PBL teaching method,and p<0.05.Conclusion:Through the implementation of PBL teaching method in the clinical nursing teaching of elderly lung cancer in conjunction with cancer nursing related problems,on-site answering is carried out in the way of nursing internship,so that the knowledge of nursing students in the practicing stage will be more in-depth,and the effects and quality of the nursing internship have been steadily improved,which has certain value of promotion in teaching.
文摘Objective: to study the effect of nutrition knowledge, attitude and dietary behavior of medical students before and after clinical nutrition teaching, in order to provide favorable basis for nutrition education of medical students. Methods: 300 students were selected for routine clinical teaching in the first half of 2021 and clinical nutrition teaching in the second half of 2021. After that, questionnaires were used to understand the medical students knowledge, attitude towards nutrition and dietary behavior, and to analyze the effect before and after clinical nutrition teaching. Results: after clinical nutrition teaching, the students awareness rate of nutrition knowledge was significantly higher than before nutrition education, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). After receiving the teaching of clinical nutrition, the students pay close attention to their own nutritional status, which is manifested by the learning attitude of eager to learn nutritional knowledge. Among them, 279 (93.0%) students express that nutritional knowledge is very important, 297 (99.0%) students express that they are willing to take the initiative to learn more nutritional knowledge, and 279 (93.0%) students express that regular eating of snacks will affect their health status. 294 cases (98.0%) of students said it was very important to have breakfast in the morning. However, there were still 180 cases (60.0%) of students who preferred to sleep late rather than eat breakfast early. After the teaching of clinical nutrition, the rates of breakfast, body weight, regular and quantitative meals, fresh vegetables, fruits, bean products, dairy products, nuts, seafood, meat and eggs, carbonated drinks, western fast food, sweets, fried foods, preserved fruits, puffed foods, diet and supper were significantly higher than before (p < 0.05). Conclusion: after receiving clinical nutrition teaching, medical students nutrition knowledge, attitude and eating behavior have been significantly improved, and there is a high probability to control their own diet by using good nutrition knowledge and positive eating attitude, so as to improve their health. It has obvious application significance and is worthy of promotion.

文摘Objective: To explore the utilization of implicit nursing knowledge in the teaching of cardiovascular internal medicine nursing and to provide a reference for improving the quality and efficiency of cardiovascular internal medicine nursing work. Methods: Thirty-six trainee nurses working in the cardiovascular internal medicine department of our hospital from September 2022 to September 2023 were selected and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group of 18 trainees each. The control adopted the traditional teaching methods while the observation group adopted the implicit nursing knowledge in their clinical practice work. The assessment scores and teamwork ability of the two groups were analyzed and compared. Results: The performance of the observation group was better than that of the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The teamwork ability of the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group in teamwork ability (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Implicit nursing knowledge teaching is conducive to the cultivation of high-quality nursing talents and meets the development needs of hospitals. Therefore, the importance of implicit nursing knowledge should be strengthened in the teaching of cardiovascular internal medicine nursing and it should be comprehensively organized to improve the quality of nursing services.
文摘Concomitant with the advancement of contemporary medical technology,the significance of perioperative nursing has been increasingly accentuated,necessitating elevated standards for the pedagogy of perioperative nursing.Presently,the PBL(problem-based learning)pedagogical approach,when integrated with CBL(case-based learning),has garnered considerable interest.An extensive literature review has been conducted to analyze the application of the PBL-CBL fusion in the education of perioperative nursing.Findings indicate that this integrative teaching methodology not only enhances students’theoretical knowledge,practical competencies,and collaborative skills but also contributes to the elevation of teaching quality.In conclusion,the PBL-CBL teaching approach holds immense potential for broader application in perioperative nursing education.Nevertheless,it is imperative to continually refine this combined pedagogical strategy to further enhance the caliber of perioperative nursing instruction and to cultivate a greater number of exceptional nursing professionals in the operating room setting.
