Since the earliest Kansei works saw the light more than 30 years ago, the Kansei has boomed exponentially. Because of many and various achieved business successes by different working groups as well as the methodology geographical dispersion throughout the world. Multi-faceted Kansei has been developed for the last 20 years in a very wide and varied way. The Kansei has experienced as if talking of a tree, a branching experience still going on nowadays. Today we can speak from Kansei in theory, Kansei emotion measurement, Kansei engineering, Kansei information, Kansei education, Kansei design to Kansei in practice and many other disciplines. Three years ago, our team started the experience to introduce Kansei in the educational atmosphere, applying it to the final degree projects. In the School of Building Engineering at the Universitat Polit^cnica de Valencia and inside its final degree project proposal, a workshop on Kansei engineering was offered. During these years at the eighth semester of the building engineer degree, students have been working for almost five months under the supervision of a team of teachers on their final project till the final public oral defense was made in front of a committee. During these years, we have worked with an average of 10 students per year. Some have successfully completed their final projects, others have not achieved the minimum required. The article aims to explain the experience during the last three years the team has accumulated in Kansei education, and can be of interest for every teacher or lecturer. 展开更多

Kansei engineering, also known as k, unsei ergonomics or emotional engineering, aims at analysing and incorporating customer's feeling and demands into product function and product design. Founded in the late 1970's, kansei is now considered as a key consumer-oriented technology for new product development. This paper described a system called FuzEmotion for the purpose of assessing the kansei aspects of a product by considering design attributes of a product. Fuzzy logic is used to represent kansei words and process fuzzy input. The system has been successfully implemented to ascertain gender inclination of a mobile phone. Principal parameters of a mobile phone are considered, i.e., length, width, thickness, and mass. The system can inform gender inclination of a mobile phone with accuracy up to 76 %. This is based on a set of 92 mobile phone samples from the five major mobile phone manufacturers. 展开更多

Though several shape retrieval technologies have been developed, little attention has been given to the points on human's sense and impression (as known as Kansei) in the conventional techniques, In this paper, the authors propose a novel method of shape retrieval based on shape impression of human's Kansei. The key to the method is the Gaussian curvature distribution from 3D models as features for shape retrieval. This study investigated the relationship between a subject’s evaluation of injection molding machines (IMMs) and formal design features using Kansei engineering. This investigation used 12 word pairs to evaluate the IMM configurations and employed the semantic differential method to explore the perception of 60 interviewees of 12 examples. The relationship between product feature design and corresponding words was derived by multiple regression analysis. Factor analysis reveals that the 12 examples can be categorized as two styles—advanced style and succinct style. For the advanced style, an IMM should use a rectangular form for the clamping-unit cover and a full-cover for the injection-unit. For the succinct style, the IMM configuration should use a beveled form for the safety cover and a vertical rectangular form for the clamping-unit cover. Quantitative data and suggested guidelines for the relationship between design features and interviewee evaluations are useful to product designers when formulating design strategies. 展开更多

Aiming at the defects of the products available on the market at present and basing on the Kansei Engineering and Ergonomics, a new kind of student apartment bed which can prove its humanity more clearly is designed, and its design direction is gotten through the questionnaire and the design starts from the real actual needs of students. After the original design was finished, the later investigation on the students was engaged with and made the engineering analysis. The conclusion is that the sum of "perfect" and "good" membership rates is up to 64%, hence the comprehensive assessment of the design is perfect. That is to say, this design is able to realize and meet the needs of users, and there is no doubt that it will have a good business prospects. 展开更多

In affective design field, Kansei Engineering (KE) has been recognized as a technology that enables discovery of consumer’s emotion and formulation of guide to design products that win consumers in the competitive market. Albeit powerful technology, there is no rule of thumb in its analysis and interpretation process. KE expertise is required to determine sets of related Kansei and the significant concept of emotion. Many research endeavours become handicapped with the limited number of available and accessible KE experts. This work is performed to simulate the role of experts with the use of Natphoric algorithm and thus provides solution to the complexity and flexibility in KE. The algorithm is designed to learn the process by implementing training datasets taken from previous KE research works. Analyzing Kansei from Facial Expressions by CSRBF Mapping

This paper describes an application where a new KAE (Kansei/Affective Engineering) system was applied to define the properties of the facial images perceived as Iyashi. Iyashi is a Japanese word used to describe a peculiar phenomenon that is mentally soothing, but is yet to be clearly defined. Instead of analyzing facial expressions of an individual to determine his emotional state, the proposed system introduces a FQHNN (fuzzy-quantized holographic neural network) to find the rules involved in the Kansei evaluation provided by the subjects about the limited dataset of 20 facial images. In order to validate and gain a clear insight into the rules involved in the Kansei evaluation process, Procrustes analysis and CSRBFs (compactly-supported radial basis functions) are combined to generate new facial images. Procrustes analysis is used to find the minimal dissimilarity measure between two facial images with opposite classification (i.e., Iyashi and Non-lyashi). CSRBFs are proposed for tuning of 17 facial parameters and mapping between facial images within opposite classes. The experiments with two subjects demonstrate that if only two from the five most important parameters of the face are changed, then the Kansei evaluation can change to the opposite class. This paper shows that a continuous and efficient tuning of the design space can be achieved by introducing CSRBF mapping into the new KAE system. 展开更多

This paper argues that agent-based simulation can be used as a way for testing Kansei Engineering methods which deal with the human reaction from sensory to mental state, that is, sensitivity, sense, sensibility, feeling, esthetics, emotion affection and intuition. A new fuzzy linear quantification method is tested in an artificial world by agent-based modeling and simulations, and the performance of the fuzzy linear method is compared with that of a genetic algorithm. 目的以心流理论为导向,感性工学为辅助构建了设计模型,为激发用户积极体验提供有效尝试,力图解决文创产品中用户体验欠佳的问题。方法依照心流理论模型中技能水平与挑战难度相平衡的准则,挖掘文创产品中用户与文化、外观体验间的平衡关... 目的以心流理论为导向,感性工学为辅助构建了设计模型,为激发用户积极体验提供有效尝试,力图解决文创产品中用户体验欠佳的问题。方法依照心流理论模型中技能水平与挑战难度相平衡的准则,挖掘文创产品中用户与文化、外观体验间的平衡关系。首先,通过问卷调查了解目标用户在文化熟悉水平上的差异,据此进行用户分流与文化层次的匹配。接着,分别从感知、认知、情感方面对用户的语意词汇进行了划分,并借由感性工学实验使词汇与设计要素建立联系。最后,根据用户技能水平的不同,于文化和外观上选取相对应的文化元素和语意词汇进行匹配设计。结果本文所尝试构建的设计模型,以成都锦里文创茶具设计为例进行实践,并经由模糊综合评价验证了该设计模型的可行性。结论探寻文创产品中获取心流这种积极体验的路径方法,有效提升了消费者的用户体验,且该方法可运用在文创产品开发领域,能为文创产品设计、优化提供新思路。 展开更多

新能源汽车轮毂造型感性意象预测研究

为改善当前新能源汽车(new energy vehicle, NEV)轮毂造型设计中情感意象预测精度,提出一种基于感性工学(kansei engineering, KE)的预测模型构建方法。收集NEV轮毂样本,采用造型分析法解构轮毂造型特征;采用词对主题模型(biterm topic ... 为改善当前新能源汽车(new energy vehicle, NEV)轮毂造型设计中情感意象预测精度,提出一种基于感性工学(kansei engineering, KE)的预测模型构建方法。收集NEV轮毂样本,采用造型分析法解构轮毂造型特征;采用词对主题模型(biterm topic model, BTM)从在线评论文本数据中深入挖掘用户感性意象,通过层次分析法(analytic hierarchy process, AHP)提取代表性感性语汇;基于反向传播神经网络(back propagation neural network, BPNN)构建关联模型,捕捉轮毂造型特征与感性意象间的非线性关系,并引入粒子群优化算法(particle swarm optimization, PSO)和遗传算法(genetic algorithm, GA)分别优化BPNN预测性能;通过误差比较法对不同模型预测效果进行评估。结果表明:PSO-BPNN在预测精度、鲁棒性等方面均优于BPNN和GA-BPNN,可有效提升造型意象预测精度,为NEV轮毂的情感化设计提供理论依据和创新路径。 展开更多

针对消费者个性化需求得不到满足,传统制造业对用户自然语言表达分析不到位,以及商家不能准确把握反馈的产业环境等问题,提出一种基于感性工学增强的GPT模型(简称“感性工学GPT”),并基于感性工学GPT进一步提出分布式定制化制造方案。... 针对消费者个性化需求得不到满足,传统制造业对用户自然语言表达分析不到位,以及商家不能准确把握反馈的产业环境等问题,提出一种基于感性工学增强的GPT模型(简称“感性工学GPT”),并基于感性工学GPT进一步提出分布式定制化制造方案。该方案通过研究、微调、训练GPT语言模型,并结合基于感性工学的文字情感挖掘方法,探讨感性词汇的情感量化,根据用户的个性化需求生成定制产品。同时将个性化产品数字原型上传至区块链,通过区块链技术保护用户知识产权和敏感信息。针对分布式制造环境中缺少透明管理机制、设备差异大、用户需求多等问题,提出一种基于多属性逆拍卖和区块链的任务分配及定价机制。最后建立基于感性工学GPT的区块链分布式3D制造管理平台,通过与其他分配方法对比,验证提出的任务分配策略在分布式制造环境中的可行性,证明了基于感性工学GPT驱动的分布式定制化制造方案能有效地在分布式环境中实现用户的个性化需求。 展开更多

为提升用户对人形机器人的接受度与信任度,以生活和商业服务场景中的人形机器人为设计对象,通过探索亲和力外观的评价维度和设计特征,研究该类型机器人外观设计的人工智能(artificial intelligence, AI)模型训练方法。采用感性工学法将... 为提升用户对人形机器人的接受度与信任度,以生活和商业服务场景中的人形机器人为设计对象,通过探索亲和力外观的评价维度和设计特征,研究该类型机器人外观设计的人工智能(artificial intelligence, AI)模型训练方法。采用感性工学法将亲和力与人形机器人外观设计的各要素相对应;通过问卷调研和量化分析用户对人形机器人的造型、材质及色彩等设计要素的偏好,得出各设计要素特征亲和力分值表,形成精确的设计要求与评价机制;依据亲和力分值表指导训练样本的筛选和制作,开展模型训练,使稳定扩散模型(stable diffusion, SD)能在短时间内生成大量具有亲和力的外观设计方案,结果表明:该方法在提升设计效率、优化设计方案方面有显著效果,为后续人形机器人外观设计提供方法指导。 展开更多
