Methods A total of l 210 students including 657 boys and 553 girls aged 12 ~15 years were surveyed with anonymous self-administrated questionnaire. The students were from a middle school in suburb of Guangzhou city. The questionnaire contained basic concepts of reproduction, love, sex, contraceptives, abortion and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). Analysis consisted of descriptive statistics and Chi square tests for differences between boys and girls. Results The students mostly had experienced menarche (94%) or first spermatorrhea (83.6%). About 58. 4% of students just knew little about process of puberty, fertilization, and contraception. Far more boys than girls considered that the effect of abortion on physical injury was harmless (30.4% and 9.6%, P〈O.O01). More than 60% of respon- dents knew the route of transmission of STDs well but were poor understanding of adverse impact of STDs. The majority of the students did not consider sexual relation- ship acceptable at their age, a viewpoint that was more strongly held by girls (61.6%) than boys (45.1%) (P〈0.001). Just 35.5% of boys would refuse when the lovers required to have a sex activity, far less than girls (76.1%) (P〈0.001). The rate of sex intercourses among students was 5%, and a slightly higher proportion (46%) had never used contraception among those who had sexual activity. The demands of students on reproductive health were mainly on how to deal with the relationship with lovers (56. 0%), knowledge on sexual health and menses (41.7%), sex moral knowledge (48.3%), contraception (45.0%), and preventive measures of STDs/acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) (47. 0%). Conclusion The reproductive health knowledge for the students was at very low level There were some differences on the knowledge mastered by boys and girls while the sexual opinion of boys was more open than girls. It was urgent to carry out education among junior high school students to promote their reproductive health.展开更多

The subject of cervical cancer prevention will be examined. Method: Articles from the ICHUSHI Web version 5, CiNii, and PubMed databases for the period from 2009-2019 were used. Search terms used were cervical cancer, HPV/human papillomavirus, prevention, public awareness, and education. Results: 17 articles (9 Japanese and 8 English) were analyzed. The majority of students had heard of cervical cancer but did not know of the link between it and HPV. Vaccinated individuals were significantly more likely to have deeper knowledge regarding cervical cancer and HPV. Various factors affect the vaccination rate. These include knowledge of HPV and cervical cancer, age, ethnicity, the organization or location which administers the vaccine, how to breach the subject, finances, and the opinions of friends and family. In particular, consultations with parents lead to mothers recognizing the importance of the vaccine. By way of educational intervention, opinions have grown more positive about advancing awareness, being vaccinated, and having cervical cancer screenings for the future. Conclusion: The prevention of cervical cancer requires support and fostering the judgement based on sufficient awareness and adequate education. What we need is educational intervention rooted firmly in the current societal climate aimed not only at students, but at their parents as well.展开更多

In educational activities, only by actively enabling students to become knowledge seekers, allowing them to actively study and use in an innovative spirit, and by acquiring knowledge to improve their learning ability and innovation awareness, can students' subjective initiative be brought into full play, positive research and development be promoted, and positive self-efficacy be created. Then, how should we achieve the ideal state of letting students study independently? The following is a study on this.展开更多

In the new era, we should implement the Partys educational policy, learn from the General Secretary Xi Jinping's advanced educational concept, adhere to the socialist orientation of running a school, implement the fundamental task of building a virtuous person, speed up the modernization of education, build a strong county with education, and do a good job in education that the people are satisfied with, and strive to cultivate new people of the times who are responsible for national rejuvenation, and cultivate socialist builders and successors who have all-round development in morality, intelligence, physique, beauty and labor. For junior high school students, ideological and moral education is very important. They already have independent ideas, but they are easily influenced by other factors and even go astray. Therefore, the correct guidance of ideological education is very necessary, which can help students establish good three views and is beneficial to cultivate all-round talents. In junior middle school teaching, in order to improve students ideological quality more efficiently and systematically, a special course of ideological and political education has been set up. However, as far as the present situation is concerned, due to the limitation of teaching mode, the effect of junior high school ideological education curriculum is not very remarkable, and there is still a big difference from the teaching goal of junior high school ideological and political education. Therefore, this paper explores the ideological and political education of students in the current junior high school stage, understands the problems in the actual teaching, and gives limited solutions in combination with the actual situation, hoping to give some reference suggestions to the viewers.展开更多

As a special educational phenomenon at the present stage in our country, upgrading from a junior high school to a senior high school meets the needs of social progress and economic development in our country. It also embodies the people-oriented concept and meets people's needs for higher level and higher quality education. This education not only breaks the status quo of life-long entrance examination system, but also provides more choices for examinees and parents. It also brings opportunities and challenges to the undergraduate universities that accept the students. This paper takes the current education situation of engineering management major students in private universities as the research object, finds out the existing problems in the education of the students who have graduated from colleges and puts forward the corresponding countermeasures in order to achieve better teaching effect.展开更多

Methods: A total of 136 healthy students of junior school were recruited and randomly divided into the test group (68 cases) and the control group (68 cases). The subjects in the test group practiced CTHE, while those in the control group did "the 8th radio calisthenics", an official recommended calisthenics for promoting healthcare in China, 3 times a week, and 7 weeks practicing overall. The general body function examination and the meridian energy detection system were used to determine the effects of the two groups. Results: (1) After exercise, the chest circumference and heart rate were increased significantly (P〈0.01), and both the systolic pressure (SP) and diastolic pressure (DP) were decreased significantly (P〈0.01), while the weight had no significant change (P〉0.05) in the test group. In the control group, the chest circumference, the SP and DP had no significant improvement (P〉0.05), while the heart rate was significantly increased and the weight was significantly decreased (P〈0.01). (2) The test group achieved significant positive changes in the performance status, state of mind and fatigue index (P〈0.01 or P〈0.05), while the control group only achieved a significant positive change in performance status (P〈0.01), and a negative significant decrease in the autonomic nerve function (P〈0.05). Conclusion: Junior school students would get physiological and psychological benefit from practicing CTHE, and which is suitable for them to practice.展开更多

文摘Autonomous learning emphasizes that students are the masters of learning and learning is the independent behavior of students, but it needs the help of teachers and parents. The following is a study on this.
文摘Good mental well-being is necessary for achievement in science at any level. There are extrinsic factors that have the potential to determine a learner’s mental well-being,and the role of the parent(s)cannot be undermined. Therefore, this study examined the relationships between parental engagement(PE),parents’attitude to science(PAS),and mental well-being(MWb)among junior science students. This descriptive survey involved a population of Junior Secondary Three(3)students studying Basic Science in public co-educational schools.A sample of three hundred(300)respondents was randomly drawn from 10 schools within the metropolis.Quantitative data were sourced using three validated questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The research showed that PE(2.19)and PAS(2.13)are relatively high, while MWb(2.51)is moderately normal. The influence of PE and PAS on MWb is significant. Both PE and PAS have a significant positive relationship with MWb.Also,PE and PAS were found to jointly contribute to students’MWb.In conclusion,PE and PAS have implications for the child’s mental well-being and ultimate success in science. We,therefore, recommend that more parental engagement be encouraged by improving sensitization, and orientation programs could be organized for parents of science students. This may provide an avenue for parents to be better equipped to support their young scientists.

文摘This study examined the impact of teacher-student relationship quality on students’risk of bullying victimiza-tion and the mediating roles of student-student relationships and student engagement in this relationship.A total of 656 Chinese junior high school students(females=361,mean age=13.75,SD=0.98)completed validated measures of teacher-student relationship quality,student-student relationship quality, student engagement, and bullying victimization.Regression analysis results indicated that higher teacher-student relationship quality predicted a lower risk of student bullying victimization.Serial mediating effect testing of the student-student relationship quality and student engagement revealed that these factors fully mediated the relationship between teacher-student relationship quality and bullying victimization, resulting in a lower risk of bullying victimization. The results showed that student-student relationship quality had a more substantial mediating effect than student engagement.Thefindings support the Socio-Ecological Framework, suggesting that within the Microsystem, interactions between individuals and their immediate environments significantly impact their behavior.Specifically, thesefindings suggest that good teacher-student relationships can enhance the quality of student-student relationships and student engagement, thereby preventing and reducing the occurrence of bullying victimization.
文摘To run the ideological and political course well, the most fundamental thing is to implement the partys educational policy in an all-round way, and to solve the fundamental problem of whom, how and for whom to cultivate. Therefore, this paper explores the ideological and political education of students in the current junior high school stage, understands the problems in the actual teaching, and gives limited solutions in combination with the actual situation, hoping to give some reference suggestions to the viewers.
文摘Since the 1990s of last century, China's tertiary education has gradually occupied half of the higher education field. This paper takes the current education situation of engineering management major students in private universities as the research object, finds out the existing problems in the education of the students who have graduated from colleges and puts forward the corresponding countermeasures in order to achieve better teaching effect.

文摘Objective: To observe the physiological and psychological effects of Chinese traditional healthcare exercises (CTHE) on the adolescents. Conclusion: Junior school students would get physiological and psychological benefit from practicing CTHE, and which is suitable for them to practice.
