However, there has been no study examining the role of interpersonal relationships in dysmenorrhea and how they may interact with negative emotions. Aims To investigate the connection between negative affect and dysmenorrhea, and the role of interpersonal relationships plays in this relationship. Methods The Cox Menstrual Symptom Scale (CMSS), short-form of Depression Anxiety Stress Scale, Interpersonal Comprehensive Diagnostic Scale and UCLA (University of California at Los Angeles) Loneliness Scale were applied to 855 adolescent nursing students to collect information on severity and frequency of dysmenorrheal symptoms, negative emotions (including depression, anxiety and stress), interpersonal problems and subjective experience of loneliness among them, and the relationship among these variables was examined. Results (1) Both the severity and frequency of dysmenorrhea were positively correlated with negative emotions, loneliness experience and interpersonal problems, while negatively correlated with age at menarche.(2) The negative emotions, romantic relationship and menarche age, but not loneliness and interpersonal problems, significantly contributed to both the severity and frequency of dysmenorrhea.(3) Mediation analysis revealed that the effects of loneliness and interpersonal problems on dysmenorrhea were totally mediated by negative emotions. Conclusions This investigation indicates that the relationship between interpersonal relationships and dysmenorrhea is mediated by negative emotions.展开更多

文摘The mental health issues of college students have become an increasingly prominent social problem, exerting severe impacts on their academic performance and overall well-being.Early identification of Interpersonal Sensitivity(IS)in students serves as an effective approach to detect psychological problems and provide timely intervention. In this study,958 freshmen from higher education institutions in Zhejiang Province were selected as participants. We proposed a Multi-Strategy Artemisinin Optimization(MSAO)algorithm by enhancing the Artemisinin Optimization(AO)framework through the integration of a group-guided elimination strategy and a two-stage consolidation strategy.Subsequently, the MSAO was combined with the Fuzzy K-Nearest Neighbor(FKNN)classifier to develop the bMSAO-FKNN predictive model for assessing college students’IS.The proposed algorithm’s efficacy was validated through the CEC 2017 benchmark test suite, while the model’s performance was evaluated on the IS dataset, achieving an accuracy rate of 97.81%.These findings demonstrate that the bMSAO-FKNN model not only ensures high predictive accuracy but also offers interpretability for IS prediction, making it a valuable tool for mental health monitoring in academic settings.

文摘This study examined the moderating effects of parent-child,same-sex,opposite-sex and teacher-student relation-ships between sibling status and loneliness during COVID-19.A total of 1,591 adolescents in China completed the study questionnaires which assessed the aforementioned variables. The results showed that same-sex and teacher-student relationships moderated the association between sibling status and loneliness. The results indicated that among participants with good same-sex relationships during COVID-19,compared to non-only-children parti-cipants,the only-children participants were more likely to experience a lower level of loneliness.However,parti-cipants with poor same-sex relationships experienced similar level of loneliness regardless of whether they had siblings.Thesefindings would be helpful for parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to take effective measures to reduce loneliness feelings among Chinese adolescents.
